Okay so; another little one punch man ramble. {SPOILERS! :D}

This is for the non revised lastest chapters in specific, and the monster association arc.

The parallels between Saitama and Flash,

Originaly from a conversation with my friend @kachikirby , it might be extremly obvious to everyone but id like to speak about it anyways! :D

To elaborate a tiny bit more on this and mostly rephrase ; So both have their own foe to defeat; Saitama with Garou and Flash with Emtpy void (motivated to fight god himself).

Both of their enemies is possessed by said god. And both wanted something out of the other party. Garou wanted to fight Saitama at his best and Empty Void deemed Flash worthy enough to be gifted the same "possession". So to throw both off they needed to get a reaction, something that'd break something inside of them.

Both don't have all that much to look to, even if we know less about Flash, i think it's safe to assume he's lonely and focuses on his strenght. Saitama is simillar, a man so bored with his own strenght.

But, both have someone, now you might add that Garou also managed to kill all other heroes (and more) present near him which certainly did not help Saitama feel better, which i will agree with! But the main factor for the whole state he gets into after stays Genos. (It's also heavily heavily implied/basicaly said that Saitama relies Genos for support and all of that) Saitama recieves Genos' core- his heart.

Now Flash on the other hand, despite his messy fall out with Sonic, said Sonic is really the only one he has. They both were each other's only source of "happiness" during the times when they were in the ninja training thing. They both relied on each other and had a whole dream with each other. They both have a very strong history despite their falling out. And even after that they do still care for one another. So, even with what Flash says to Blast about being soft in the revised version, he too, has a weakness in the form of someone else. Flash receives Sonic's head as his dismembered remains falls in the back. His head is even cut in half. In the middle, horizontaly.

Now, hear me out, im pretty sure there's a connection between God and the brain (as well as psychic powers and the moon but anyways,) and Sonic's head was cut in a way that kept said brain intact. I don't have much on this part right now but i do believe theres a link between all of those things---

Also could it be said that there was Heart and Mind (Reason and feelings) parallels

Sonic's dead was false. It's a projection made from Empty Void to Flash, an illusion to break his spirit. WHICH SUCCEEDED. And broke Flash for long enough to able Empty Void to get the cube to touch him.

Meanwhile, Genos' death was fully real. He was really dead when Saitama fought with Garou.

But all turned out alright for the four of them. Flash got saved by Sonic, who was fully alive and well. And Saitama turned back time which allowed Genos to be alive again (and all the other heroes but you know)

So; both also had similar expressions at simmilar time. Faces shadowed out except for eyes. (Saitama's eyes don't appear on most of the pannels however) But both were clearly in a form of distress over someone they care about dying. They're both well aquainted with Death. They're heroes who kill monsters. And Flash also is an assassin.

It can also be said that they would not really have made it out on their own in some ways. Genos' core being there managed, in some ways, to keep Saitama's brain mostly in check (if you get what i mean). Saitama could probably have been way more dangerous otherwise. And Sonic managed to snap Flash out of the possession before God took a hold of him.

Because in the end, God is a convincing little meanie. Taking the form of someone you trust. (Except in psychos case where she fused with someone already gifted by god i believe) (and that homeless emporor who i believe saw a version of god because he perhaps didn't have anyone close to him.) So Flash did see Sonic, like if all his life and troubles were just a bad dream, he was in front of his childhood friend, in a vast field, being reassured by the other he just saw being cut apart seconds earlier.

And both Flash and Saitama know each other. And both lived trough their first encounter with God next to each other (along Manako)

All of this to say that both their parallels are very dear to me. I wonder what we'll see of it in the revised version!

Okay this is mostly inspired by your newest post but like imagine an au where Alastor was bored in hell so he traveled through some radio waves and somehow got to Earth and he does this a lot but it’s mostly just to look around or to try some new meat eventually he would get bored after a few hours and go back to hell until he meets Vox at first he wasn’t that impressed he just saw Vox as another one of his short lived sources of entertainment but then slowly Vox became his favorite whenever Alastor was observing Vox it seems like something new and exciting will happen so you can imagine his excitement when he sees him step into a bar because if a sober Vox is already wild and unpredictable you could only imagine him drunk Alastor sits at table close to the corner not really interested in the drinks he watches Vox from afar as he downs a drink before just settling down and just watching the other patrons after a few minutes a man approaches Vox Alastor guesses he’s someone Vox knew for a while with the way he’s smiling ear to ear at him but he can’t really hear the details of their discussion Alastor knew not to get close to a drinking Vox he’s been called the guy with the fuckass bob enough times to learn that it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to get close but he’s content with watching from a distance even though he can’t hear what they are saying soon Vox gets up pays for his drink then urges to the man to follow him the pair make their way down the sidewalk still talking with Alastor following through the shadows and because of his new found proximity to Vox he now knows Vox in fact does not know the man Vox then grabs the man by his collar and pulls him into a ally way nearby as Alastor rounds the corner he’s greeted by quite the scene he sees Vox holding a bloody knife with the man he was spending the night with laying down on the ground presumably dead before Alastor can really react Vox turns to look at him then giving him a sinister smile he makes his way over to Alastor with to much calmness for a man that was caught red handed unless he was planning on killing him too but that would be absurd Alastor is much taller and stronger then Vox and he’s sure he knows this so alastor doubts he’s going in for the kill when he looks down he sees Vox staring at him still having that grin plastered on his face he raises his knife but not to kill Alastor no instead he gives him the knife before whispering "have fun with this one radio demon”then running away laughing probably going home but all Alastor could think at that moment was what fun Vox will be once he arrives in hell …wait radio demon????

So vox is still human here, al's just upstairs creeping around because he's found a pretty human who he's locked onto for dragging downstairs with him???? right? so. does vox have supernatural powers of some sort too? or is alastor just like. very very bad at disguising himself and gets constantly seen while he's being a general Freak:tm:

Switched Alliances (Leila Ouahabi x Reader)

So this is a Euro fic. I know im a little late but I really liked this idea so here we are. I hope you all enjoy

The woman’s Euros starts today. This tournament has been eagerly anticipated since the tickets went on sale a year prior. You were lucky to not have to worry about that too much, your sister was a started for the English woman’s team so you pretty much got to follow her journey and watch the games she played in without sourcing your own tickets.

The tickets you did have to source were the Spanish girls games. Well game. You didn’t know if you could travel too much outside of your half sisters games so you were worried about buying any tickets yourself. Something you had voiced to the younger woman before she headed off to camp. She told you that if you wanted to go that you should but that she really wanted you watching her in the stands. Something you wouldn’t miss so you decided against it.

You watched you sister play in the opening game. It was nervy and very close but Mead chipped the ball just over the line to get your home country the first win of the tournament.

Waiting out back for your sister to come out so you could congratulate her, you didn’t expect the envelope that was shoved into your hands.

“What’s this sis?” The younger shorter woman rolled her eyes and pulled you into a hug.

“Great game sis. Well played sis. Good to know you enjoyed watching me.” The teasing tone was ever present and you gave her your best older sister cut it out look before wrapping her up in your arms.

“Well played baby sis I’m so proud of you. Now what is this?” Another eye roll and scoff before she took the envelope and tore it open.

“A ticket for you precious Spain game. We are in Brighton for game 2 so it’s on the way down you’ll just have to travel yourself.” She was beaming at you, an expression you were 100% sure was mirrored on your own face.

“You are the best!” You pulled her in for a tight hug before she was shouted at by Leah to get her ass on the bus. With a kiss to the crown of her head you wished her well and told her you’d see her in Brighton for game 2. You walked out of the stadium with a spring in your step not only because your sister won her first game but because you were going to see some of your favourites play.

With a cap covering your head and a Barcelona shirt covering your upper body you sat in the stands of the first Spanish woman’s euro tournament game. You had watched many of the Spanish girls play for Barcelona over the last few years and had become quite the fan girl much to your little sisters annoyance.

Other than one time last season when Barcelona was in England to play Arsenal you had never got to see them play in person so as soon as you found out where their first group game is you travelled the distance from Manchester to Milton Keynes. Your sister would never let you live it down if you wore a Spanish shirt even with your Spanish side so the Barca jersey would have to do.

Your sister had managed to secure you a good seat right next to the pitch just to the left of the dugouts. Apparently the family section extended past the actual teams playing. It meant that for the majority of the game you were listening to the Spanish coaching staff and subs shout many different phrases, mostly encouragements some criticisms that could be used.

There was one player that you couldn’t take your eyes off. Leila Ouahabi. You have had a crush on the woman from the moment you first watched her on your tv screen. She just oozed confidence and from the snippets of her off the pitch you could tell she was a fun and carefree sort of person. The exact person you wanted to get to know.

It took Aitana scoring her goal for you to realise who was sitting just behind you and to the left of your current position. Alexia Putellas in all her injured glory was hopping up and down on one leg down the steps next to you, signalling her joy to the young centre midfielder. You watched as the 4th official blocked Aitanas path and the resulting heart she parted with before you noticed no one going to help the woman back up the stairs.

Although you were pretty sure she didn’t need any help if the muscles in her thighs were anything to go by, you still stood up and offered a hand. “Hola, are you okay getting back to your seat? Can’t have you injuring that leg even more.”

The older woman hopped to face you an apprehensive look in her eyes until you noticed her glance at your shirt, “Hola. A culer I see. That would be great I didn’t grab my crutches in my haste and it’s a lot easier hopping down then up. I’m going to assume you know my name but I’ll introduce myself anyway. I’m Alexia.” You chuckled along with the woman as you offered her your arm and led her back to the seat with the extra chair at the side. You helped her sit before making sure she was comfortable.

“I do in fact know who you are but it’s a pleasure to meet you. Im y/n and yes im a culer.” You sent the woman a wink as you turned around to leave.

The hand on your arm jilted you back before you could even make it down a step. “Sit with me for the rest of the game? I might need that hand again you know when we score more goals? Plus I can introduce you to the woman who you have on your back as a thank you.”

The blush that covered your cheeks might have given your crush on the dark haired woman away. Nether the less, you took the offered seat next to the best female football player in the world right now and focused in on the game.

To your slight disappointment, something Alexia was quick to tease you about, Leila was subbed out in the 61st minute but you did get to enjoy watching her jump up and down with her teammates on the bench when Lucia Garcia scored and finally when Mariona put away a penalty with about as much calm as Alexia herself would.

Not long after celebrating that goal the final whistle blew and Alexia was rising to her feet with her crutches in hand. “Y/n it has been a pleasure. I can tell you aren’t from Spain but we appreciate the support anyway. The girls are heading this way I want to introduce you to some of them.”

You followed the woman down to the side of the pitch and watched from the barrier as she went through the gate. As she went to wave you through you shook your head, you had no right to be on the pitch you were just another fan in the stadium and you were going to be just that.

Alexia gave you a questioning look to which you replied “Im just a fan Alexia. Fans stay this side of the barrier and hope they get the chance to talk to you amazing people. I will do just that, I didn’t help you to get special treatment. I helped you because I wanted too.” The smile on the woman’s lips told you all you needed to know about your little rant. And if it didn’t the woman crunching back over to bring you into a hug did.

“Garcías y/n. Sometimes people forget we are just humans. You are a breath of fresh air.” The woman set herself straight before she signalled a couple of the girls over. Much to your shock you were faced with 4 of your favourite Barcelona woman’s football players. Patri was built more than you expected, Pina was taller than she looked on screen, Aitana was looking anywhere but at you something you found cute and Leila was looking you top to toe. This caused you to try and subtly stand taller in hopes of showing some fake confidence in front of the beauty.

“Guys this is y/n. Y/n meet Patri, Claudia, Aitana and last and least Leila.” The eldest of them all gave Alexia a tap to the back of the arm for that comment before she reached a hand out to shake yours.

“The pleasure is all mine” the small kiss she placed on your cheek after she tugged you forward had you blushing uncontrollably. Patri was quick to notice this and in an attempt to distract you thought of a question.

“So a Barca top. Does it have a name on the back?” You could tell she was trying to take away from the shade of your face but her question just made you turn a darker shade of red. A fact that had Alexia full belly laughing from her spot next to Leila.

“Umm yeah.” You were scratching the back of your neck and avoiding eye contact with any of them.

“Okay so this is where you turn round and we see who your favourite is.” There was a teasing lilt to Claudias voice and you knew you were in trouble with these girls.

Without letting yourself think about it too much to swirled on your heels and displayed the woman’s name printed on your back.

“Ouahabi looks like you have a beautiful fan. Not going to lie I’m jealous.” This voice was new so you quickly spun back not wanting the crush you had on the woman to be known by too many people. As you faced the direction of the girls again you came face to face with none other than Mapi Leon. You gave a shy wave before stuffing your hands in your short pockets and trying to not seem as self conscious as you really were.

“Back of Leon this one’s not going to full for your charms.” You could hear the teasing tone but also something a bit more forceful behind it. Something that made you look at the dark haired woman properly for one of the first times today. She was looking at you with a soft smile that quickly turned into a smirk, a sign you knew spelt trouble for you.

“Jersey swap? This one doesn’t seem quite right.” She tugged on the bottom of your shirt before pulling her match worn shirt over her head. “Better yet just have this one too.”

“I’m English. This could be seen as treachery.” Even as you said this you took the offered item from the now barely clothed woman in front of you.

“Don’t worry I’ll get you a Barca one. You can collect it when you come to a Barca game next year.” The wink she sent you had you weak in the knees something you would never give away. “But before that will I see you in this at one of the next Spain games?”

You threw the shirt over your shoulder and gave the woman a nod. You didn’t mind how far you had to travel or how much you had to beg your sister, there was no way you would miss seeing this woman again.

With a wink and another kiss to your cheek, this one bordering on the edge of your lips, the woman was off chatting to her fellow teammates. She threw a smile over her shoulder before she disappeared into the tunnel.

You didn’t realise Alexia was still next to you until she clicked her fingers in front of your eyes. “I expect at least the be the first name on the wedding invite list.” It was your turn to tap the woman’s arm as she crutches away laughing.

You weren’t sure what the future held but you knew there was a game watching a Spanish beauty in there somewhere.

🤍shakiri i joke, i joke, but more seriously my answer for this is less one specific character and more broadly that i think the entire situation with the castes was probably more complicated than what we see on the show (or the books) and it's interesting that people tend to take unapolagetic villain shakiri as being representative of the caste generally, rather than neroon, who is more ambivalent (while still being a dick haha). i find the whole religious caste = good, warrior caste = bad stuff very reductive especially since we see many in show examples of the religious caste absolutely fucking unhinged. i also think it's v interesting that no one in the warrior caste really put up a fight when shakiri got backstabbed by neroon and defeated by delenn in the starfire wheel. i guess you could put that down to minbari having an intense respect for tradition and ritual but... this is also a caste that just broke a thousand year minbari do not kill minbari rule and idk... it just speaks to something interesting going on behind the scenes with this guys!

🖤delenn, haha. this is probably my most controversial opinion and it's one i've touched on before. i don't think delenn is evil (and disclaimer: she is one of my fave characters), but she is cunning and manipulative and she's prone to letting her own personal biases rule her understanding of a situation which leads to some, uh, interesting choices on her part. basically i don't think delenn is the trustworthy source on the minbari, on her own choices, or on broader issues in the b5 galaxy that she gets treated as by fandom lol. like, for example i don't entirely believe what delenn says about why they had to leave the narn to face the centauri/shadows alone, i think that's just what she told herself to justify the decision. im also, idk, iffy about the whole not ever telling sheridan about her role in the war. i saw a post on here where someone was saying this was her great 'gift' to him and it just... ew. ick. no. fuck no. i understand why she doesn't tell him, but it's not a gift

There's no way hojo doesn't know abt the posibilities abt that little infantry boy get human flesh cravings i mean im sure he see lucretia and she probably too go berserk and kill and eat one or ten ppl.

And the sweet Jenny probably control a little bit Cloudy in order to her grandchilds get proper nutrition. After all those babies are from her Best son, they need cloudy eat materia and tasty human Meat 😋to grown big and strong.

Maybe after the birth Cloud sometimes crave for tifa's or aerith's sweet blood. Him getting nightmares about kill and eat them, specially aerith. Im sure for Jenny wants so much kill that little pest for the good of the babies.

Yeah I kind of figure Hojo must know. Probably why he kept Cloud up in Nibelheim with other (more disposable) scientists watching over him. Far away from Midgar and Hojo himself. Although even he might not have realised just how bad it would get with Cloud (Lucretia might have had the more 'pure' Sephiroth growing inside her but Cloud has 3 Sephiroth-spawns in him needing food).

I think the way I want it to go is that Cloud doesn't fully remember the whole killing-and-eating multiple scientists. He remembers enough to be completely sure he killed them and enough to have strong suspicions that he at them. But it's still mostly a haze of cravings and violence and the a taste on his lips that he doesn't recognise as any meat he's eaten before.

He tries to ignore it, of course. Tries to tell himself that no he just killed them, nothing more. But there's still this weird craving under his skin when he looks at people (especially Aerith) that leaves him feeling ill. He's bound to be really funny about sleeping around people (hell, sleeping in general), never sure if he's going to wake up over someone's body with blood staining his lips and hands.

He isn't going to talk to anyone about it either. Because how would he explain that without sounding like a monster. Hell, he feels like a monster and he fears those three babies a little. It's because of them that he has this craving in the first place and while right now they are too young what happens when they do get old enough to start needing solid food will they get this craving as well?

I also just wondered if cybwrtronians with animal robot modes should count as their own subspecies or as part of the beast formers, and what their relation with beast formers would be

Probaly won’t have girls be an entire subspecies and just not give gender, more have it that they are all trans in that each one chooses its gender

i really wish transformers fiction had like.a reasonable way to explain the different sizes and types of cybertronians since as far as i'm aware there aren't any tf universes that .reproduce in a way that passes on physical traits to offspring so evolution in the way we're used to probably isn't an option.,?? but there clearly are distinct types that are made of groups too large and have differences too great to just be individuals that are like,, racecar vs warframe, that can more or less switch their alt mode to something generally similar to their original

like i'm sure this is what you're referring to as well, there's massive difference between minicons and titans and the main autobot cars right.,.even between ground vehicles and fliers,.

okkokok i don't know if you're basing your ideas off a specific existing continuity or making your own here but the ones i'm most familiar with at the moment are cartoon g1, aligned, idw1, and then some of animated so i'm mostly sourcing my braindumping out of those

so the alternative to like.survival of the fittest over generations of passing on traits seems to be. possibility one is that a higher power like the original primes or another kind of pressure arranges for existing cybertronians close in location or social standing to get reformatted into the subspecies that you've mentioned above, for greater chance of survival in their environment, to be useful in terms of functionism, or something else that i can't think of right now..

or another possibility could be that all cybertronians simply get born from the allspark or the matrix or whatever with like. a random chance of emerging as a beastformer or a triple-changer or anything, or if i pull this back towards your ideas of the primes representing these subspecies, maybe the primes would have had some sort of control over the physiology of the new cybertronians,,,,but then i get the question of why would they do that.,,. and then theres the question of,, if a bot gets reformatted or gets a full-frame overhaul or something, like idw megatron going from mining tank to handgun to space thingy to.i think some kind of tank again,, does the change in frame type change what the individual is classified as?,.;']?

and then also do you happen to have any ideas/hcs of how these subspecies are different from each other apart from the obvious bit of the alt modes? bc i don't know if anything has suggested that there are in canon series, but i think there really should be because its fictional alien robot biology and its cool and im always craving it

Chapter 5: Something in the Air

Shuuji knows something is amiss when he catches Syakomon let out an almost imperceptible sigh of relief. He’s lucky that the viscous surface of Syakomon’s slimy green body betrays her—the quiver of the otherwise silent exhale sends a faint, wobbly shockwave across her skin, and she jiggles ever so slightly in her shell, as though somebody’s just set down a cautious bowl of lime-flavored jello.

Supposedly, the worst is over, but Shuuji can't shake the feeling that there's something the Kemonogami aren't telling him.

oh BOY the editing situation was a doozy. granted, i was also busy with work, but even then this chapter needed a TON of reworking, much much more than chapter 4 did. like i said on ao3, it got to the point where this chapter was so long that i had to split it in two.

i also mentioned that this chapter marks the beginning of the second half of this fic. chapters 1-4 make up part one, which i'd summarize as "how did we get here?", and then from 5-8, the focus will be "what happens next?". it helped a LOT to recontextualize chapters 5-7 (now 5-8) as an answer to chapters 1-4, and i think it'll make editing easier going forward; i have much more direction now and a better idea of what needs to be expanded on and what needs to be cut.

unfortunately, like i said, i had to omit a lot of saki-centric stuff. she is the scariest character for me to write, and i think i need to progress more thru my replay of truthful before i feel confident enough to write from her perspective. it works out anyway, because the part i cut had shuuji taking a very passive role and just observing interactions between saki and floramon, and it felt very drawn-out and unnecessary. this is my favorite cut segment tho

im really hoping to be able to figure out what an aoi-miu-saki dynamic looks like as i get more comfortable writing the three of them. i think it could be really fun. also i think it would be so funny if miu and saki bring out a mischievous side of aoi that would otherwise not exist. much to think about.

anyway. another challenge i had with editing this chapter was the topography of the beach area the group hangs out at before moving on to the shopping district and apartment complex. for some reason i was convinced the rocky beach area was like.. up on a cliffside? but then i looked at the map and got REAL confused. the beach is super super narrow, and that was really inconvenient when i needed shuuji to be somewhere relatively out of the way, where he could have a conversation with agumon that takuma cannot hear, while still being able to see takuma. so thats why i spent an hour and change squinting at the tiniest png of the map and reorganizing where people spend their time

i didnt make many changes; mostly i just moved people around. the one thing that i DID change though was the placement of the waterway entrance. i have NO IDEA why the game has it in the middle of the fucking ocean. like i know theres a tunnel there, but surely the entrance to that tunnel isn't underwater right? i then poured another hour and change learning about waterways, trying to figure out where it made the most sense to put the exit before remembering that it doesn't matter because the digital world doesn't play by human world rules. oops! it was still super interesting though! please look up 'tokyo g-cans' if you ever get the chance, its fucking fascinating. if i ever go back to japan id like to go down there, maybe.

in other news, agumon was much easier to write than i was worried he would be, and it was nice to work out how he felt about what happened in the waterway. one thing ive noticed about agumon on a second truthful run is that he and takuma are equally awful about pushing down their own feelings for the sake of the ones of their friends. a lot of the others seem to view agumon as the guy who is always Staying Silly , no thoughts head empty. while i DO think that that's a genuine part of his personality, i think it also happens sometimes that he uses that image to downplay his concerns.

my favorite part to write this chapter was labramon's dialogue at the end. and also baby stats. baby stats was the ONE THING i REFUSED to cut. non-negotiable. it's been in my notes since the beginning and digimon survived all edits of this chapter, and i was DETERMINED to keep it.

bestie (nicest way possible) as someone who was new to the fandom last September I wouldn’t recommend making a sideblog and like talking about comics/batfam/etc if you haven’t read the comics? people get really touchy about that, because fanfic interpretation tend to be really far from how characters are in canon (and character relationships get butchered and softened and straight up invented for plot, which once again, creative liberty + that can be fun but often tends to be incredibly ooc & excludes women (cass, helena, steph, etc) or poc (duke (though his case is different considering when he was introduced), cass, damian’s poc but isn’t really ignored) in favor of white boys (jason especially, who shows up far later than said women & isn’t really close to the fam yet fandom tends to give him their relationships with the family) so like...you’ll probably be mostly wrong and people are rather unforgiving about that because they’re tired of people that haven’t read comics talking about the characters (incorrectly) while refusing to interact w/ source material, and it’s a huge problem & very prevalent so I can’t really blame them? idk I just don’t think it’s a good idea unless you want to reblog just art and stuff, which is fine! but like...everything's really confusing w/out proper research if you want to get into the fandom (everything post-reboot/post-2011 is largely ignored unless said otherwise because the reboot was so awful), so i just want to point that out! but I don’t want to be mean, just some advice :) (if you ever change your mind about comics, just give the say so! we’re (and i) am very glad to help you out with what to read and in what order, and take it from someone who was in your position six months ago, they are truly really fun!) /gen /nm

well first of all this is how i enjoyed it:

i will be repeating the experience weekly. cannot more highly recommend cosymode ted lasso.

as for the episode itself- [shrieks into my hands] i'm gonna put some thoughts under a cut, both generally and re: zava specifically, thank you for asking. these thoughts are not going to be at all organized and mostly composed in run-on sentences i am so sorry.

IM ALSO.... CONFLICTED ON ZAVA I THINK though it's interesting bc as i was watching the episode i kept getting like, OUTRAGEOUSLY distracted by..... [checks notes] not knowing what his first name is. this is not a joke. it was ACTIVELY distracting for me. i kept telling myself sometimes people are like this. like cher. you don't need to know his first name. and then two minutes later someone would mention him again and i'd be like What Is The Man's Fucking Name Though. it was so bizarre lmaooo.

honestly re: the man himself i'm like!! idk!!! jamie is clearly already way in his feelings about this and i can only imagine it's going to get worse which is gonna be. fucking delicious if we actually get to spend some time with and unpack it because 'i feel like i'm being replaced and i'm getting anxious/upset/lashing out about it' is one of my favourite sources of Angst Plots. we shall see. i am as always a combination of hopeful and anxious.

the dude playing him really did a great job striking a very specific and identifiable vibe for someone who had like Three Lines of dialogue and whose face we saw clearly like once.

didn't realize this was the chelsea episode and somehow still had 'chelsea dagger' on repeat while cleaning up and getting ready to go cosymode. (i am stealing that song from its association with the chicago hockey team. it whips too hard to be left to them.) enjoyed the accidental reference when i turned on the tv and saw the title. also kept remembering a couple irl friends who are chelsea fans and having myself a giggle.

speaking of 'great time' vs 'get this out of my face' how relieved am i that they've now bait-and-switched me TWICE with fucking. love triangle bullshit. with roy and keeley and jamie. when he followed roy and not keeley i was like. oh thank fuck. the ensuing scene was both very sweet and very funny. they are welcome to continue bait and switching me on this as long as the switch Continues To Happen but if this goes in a Direction i am not gonna be thrilled.

something is brewing with keeley's company. it's not gonna....... go well, i think. something is gonna come to a head there, i got the feeling from the drop, and i'm not sure what or how yet but something's gonna give with that. all those scenes have this weird like. tension to them that i can't quite put my finger on and im intrigued to see where it goes.

i actually really like the CFO woman? she seems like a very interesting character and i think she and keeley could balance each other very well.

my jamie and dani besties agenda is flourishing. so is dani's hair. it's fantastic and i want to braid it.

y'know who else had a good episode here? isaac. his body language thing was so good. it made me laugh and also was a SPECTACULAR look into him as a person. every time we get a scrap of characterization on one of the secondary richmond player characters i dance around like the soot sprites with the candies in that ghibli movie i can't recall the title of off the dome.

i probably overblow this in my head, right, because everyone thinks their own perspective is like Super Unique or something but i really do think being an enormous irl sports fan is enhancing the experience i'm having with this show so much. watching the fans unfurl that banner for roy and cheer for him like that was like... immediately a half dozen welcome back tribute videos and player homecomings i've watched raced through my head and i was literally in actual physical tears. both bc of what was happening on screen and bc of All The Rest Of That in my head.

speaking of. oh my gd my heart hurt so much for roy as soon as he pulled that fucking. newspaper clipping from his wallet. i liked that he ripped it up at the end but i do wish it had come a little harder. he's been carrying that thing around for 20 years i'd have liked to see a biiiiit more of a battle over letting it go. still. holy shit and the bit at the end? about leaving chelsea? winded me. the roy's hyperbolic violence/threats thing is Back With A Vengeance! we know how i feel about this. i had a whole post about how i feel about this. it's a Bit, i know, it's a goof, this being a comedy show and roy being The Angry One but still i just. i feel like they take it a liiiiiittle past the pale in this ep, in general and also with jamie specifically. roy flying at him in the locker room during the big 'who's on first' round robin was a Bit Much for me - and i know i harp on this a lot but i maintain my stance here - given their history to this point. ted saying to roy near the end of the episode that like, he needed to get his act together or he'd be ruining more than one match was a good touch that did a lot to defuse some of my unease with this running thread but. it was still there and i was still a little [oh boy.gif] about it.

anyway so now i'm knee-deep in a fic about That.

overall it was spectacular, i really enjoyed it. knocked out of the park episode thank you so much.

She's also known as "The Kamisato Princess" due to her angelic look :0 The young girl needs lots of encouragement before setting on stage, venti usually helps her with boosting up the confidence last-minute. Her big brother, the infamous ayato also watches her perform, Giving her more the reasons to push thru and make beautiful music.

As for you, She'd be so happy if you watch her !! Its all the assurance she needs. If you're the loud type and you always cheer her on, she gets kinda embarrased but in reality she doesnt mind it that much. After all she does have all sorts of fans. Though she'd prefer to hear your praises after a concert in private, she feels much more comfortable that way.

Speaking of fans, at first she had so much trouble communicating with them, Making her occasionally stutter :( Once you see her look uncomfy while talking to fans, you try to push her away steadily, without making a scene and go in a corner, attempting to soothe her

She actually slowly improves communicating at public events, meetings, etc. because of you <3 let the girl take her time with this, And spend time with her equally. Even after all of what the both of you do, she'll thank you for being by her side. As long as it stays like that, rest assured she'll be happy.

He loves posting on social media, Lots of the content on his account are song covers, pictures you took of him or memes (which is what his supporters love about his account). Gets stressed pretty easily, he randomly doodles or eats cold food to relax himself. Loves going outside <3 even better if you accompany him, sometimes just going out for a walk gives him enough inspiration.

Super supportive to the rest of the band members ⊹.(⁎˃ᴗ˂⁎). ⊹ He shows it with words tbh, he says its much easier like that. Likes the idea of working together, He believes it'll solve problems much faster and produce more ideas, making the future of the band brighter. He aims for that desire, seeking to make people proud.

He has lots of pets !! He posts lots of pics of them on social media. Speaking of social media, He tries to keep your relationship a secret. 👥 - yes!!!!!!!!!!! i have several sourcemates and i have one canonmate!!! my beloved friend @yellowclovers who found out he was clover kin literally minutes after i found out i was starlo kin. and then turns out we end up having memories that line up with each other. cause he remembers having awoken after the ut pacifist route and when going out to search for one of their friends, they found out via martlet that i had died and that ceroba was also still dead. which lines up with my memories cause i come from flawed pacifist in which i died not long after wishing clover good riddance. we are still very good friends though and i forgive him for everything now that i played the game myself and understand the pressure they were put under. it wasnt really their fault, after all, as much as it sucked.

i would also love more canonmates,,,,, especially a canonmate ceroba. i know a fictionkin ceroba but she does have enough memories for me to confirm if shes a canonmate or simply a sourcemate. though i suppose it would be bad to wish to have a canonmate ceroba because she literally died in my canon so i mean.

Shithead, so i got an ask and i wanted to answer it but Tumblr is a bitch and i acidently deleted it >:( i am so sorry T^T. But it was basiclly asking for my thoughs on my magical girl au, and i shall still answer. Unfortunetly like i said basiclly all that i have written has been deleted :( so this is a rewrite.

Okay it like really late where I'm from (0:15 to be exact) but i want to answer anyway (im saying this will be ranty and not comprehensive probablly but i will try). Also i have adhd so everything i write is a ramble.

My thoughs on the season two dads/season one kids is that they all became superheros basiclly, in this au the dodler did get unleashed, but it is much less of a terrifying ancient force and more of a campy villian power source, it does turn people evil just more in the (idk what his name is english) miraculous the moth guy power kind of way. People basiclly become acolytes but they are brought back to basiclly normal by the end of the 'episode' and everything is dandy.

The dads all have powers and they do get silly costumes and stuff, they are less girly and more grown up then the kids are tho.

I haven't really put much thought into it but here are my ideas for their powers:

Grant- kinda green lantern kind of power where he creates concepts out of energy, it is mostly weapons tho, and lasers (to hone in him being a sniper)

Nick- fire manipulation (obviously), his powers are similar to Taylors, he does get a cool ass demon power up tho, im thinking like a dragon ball or just anime in general inspired transformation. I also want him to have a guitar or something (maybe as a skateboard considering season one demonic) maybe marcelline inspired. I kinda also want to give him spliting (idk how to call it?) powers (to represent his duality, as nick and nickolas) where he can split into nick- more raw power, more music focused side and nickolas- more strategic, and elegant and protective side (now im just thinking of left brain right brain by bo bunmrnham lol). Nickolas is blue and nick is red, and his costume is red and blue. (This is kinda inspired by that one teen titans go episode where they get split into multiple facets of their personalities because as someone that desperetly wants to be hyperanalyzed by people it is still stick in my brain).

Terry- idk honestly, i think it would be slightly similar to hermie in design, because of him being in theatre, i want to give him some more brainy wizardy powers. Also something wampire agecent. He wears a doctor strange like robe and everything.

Sparrow- speaking with animals???? Again idk yet, i want the twins to work together, maybe i'll incorporate some of him being the lovewolf, i also want his powers to be just a tiny bit boring and not flashy like the others because that is what he strives for. I also want the twins to have some of the dodler like horror stuff, maybe some mind manipulation powers. They were the lord of chaos after all.

Lark- again i want the twins to work together, Lark would be the more destructive force in the duo, the raw power while sparrow is the support, im not very sure tho. I kinda want to give them something like the power gloves they had, or maybe just Lark has them. Their costumes also paralel each other.

The dads got their powers after the dodler got unleashed, so they are much more developed than the teens at the start, they do have secret identities but they are also known to exist to the public it just works in a clark kent- superman like fashion where even with minimal effort their identities are somehow hidden. The teens unlock their powers like in the show, when their dads get kidnapped (maybe?), Nick used to work with them but he was deemed to destructive and now works more vigilantish and solo so he is not kidnapped. The teens get their powers with their badges, which probablly get turned into jewelry or crystals or something im not sure yet.

Now to talk more about the teens:

Normal- his powers seem inoccent but they also get freaky, i got inspired by blumm from winx club and starfire from dc. He can summon a giant mech basiclly that looks like teenie, he has energy blasts, and does a lot of gymnastics (which don't always work) he also has heling powers. After talking with his dad (i have no idea how that interaction works in this au yet) he learns his powers are kinda cringy and wierd and he tries to supress them, because of that he doesn't transform for a while, still trying to help in fights. He does eventually transform (in a fight with the mayor) but his powers still act up a lot, his outfit changed afterwards becoming a wierd combination of his friends outfits and then coming back to the previous version but without the teenie stuff and slightly altered, he is unable to summon the giant teenie after that. Lark and Sparrow were not the greatest about hiding their secret identities (i honestly belive Lark just straight up told normal once what they were doing but Normal thought he was joking and was kinda oblivious. I think it would be funny if there was a gag where it is insinuated that Hero is a literal superhero (and is actually good at it unlike the teens) but no one realizes (like wearing a suit under normal clothes, disapearing randomly etc.). Normal is very much struggling with his powers, he has a lot of raw power but he never fully sinced up with it so it is contantly malfunctioning because he tries to supress them (which is kinda Sparrow's falt because of what he told him. He is literally so clumsy. Everyone thinks the magical girls are cool so no one suspects him because they think he is a loser even tho the teenie stuff was pretty oblivious. (Also some magic thing is probablly going on so people don't realize it)

Link- he has at least a bit of super strength, because really confident in the costume. Has magical soccer balls (that souns stupid) he summons. Fights mostly with his feet. Also a healer. Has the most functional costume probablly. There is definitly a gag where at first his costume is very fancy and has a lot of stuff on it, but he just feels like the texture is icky so it quickly changes to a more practical one. His pockets are endless probablly. He straight up tells Marco he is the magical girl (i have to figure out their team name and hero names soon) but because of magic bullshit Marco doesn't really get it (he does try to be supportive tho). His wings make lot of noise. I think there is a wierd glowy aura around him at all times. He can also make force fields, shield and similar to grant magic weapons.

Taylor- he is the most hyped one about the magical girl stuff. He schetches them all the time (he has been making a manga at this point, and it is actually kinda good). He does not realize that Hermie is also a magical girl, but he does tells him everything (they are besties and you can take that headcanon from my cold dead hands) and hermie does beta read the manga so like he knows their identities. He rocks a skirt so good. He is imune to fire, has better resistence to most things in general than the others, his costume works on anime logic and so does he (he gets slapped quite a bit into concrate), he has really fast regeneration. After the power up outfit change he gets demon horns, bigger wings and a full on tail his hair also becomes fire and he can move really fast like in anime. He can do that anime thing where you cut something and it breaks after a while. He is glad to be a part of a team, he was pretty lonely for a while in school. His mom does know about him being a magical girl, she thinks its cool but it does freak her out sometimes (she knew about superheroes for a while now because of nick, they actually met because of him being a superhero).

Scary - she is indeed scary. Many people wondered if she was gonna be a villian or betray the team, there were bets going on on when she is gonna go vigilante and kill some bad guys. Also has fire powers, the only one that doesn't have wings and she is jelous (she half jokes that's its because of sexism) she does fly like katsuki from mha tho. She is crazy powerful but not great at taking pain, which is not good because she is not great at dodging. Did not tell her mom about the superhero stuff (their releshonship is not great at the moment). Sights a lot. Also glad to be on the team but pretends not to be. Enjoys being a hero. Is the only one to actually swear on the team.

Hermie- was an antogonistic trickster at first. Wierdly doesn't have actual powers, or at least claims not to "its juat acting" which seems impossible. Flirts with normal a lot. His mask changes expresisions. Can and will break the fouth wall. Will stare right into the camera. Link still dislikes him but they make a good team. Wierdly has a lot of useful information. If you try to take of his mask a new one is underneath with a slightly smaller face underneath. No one knows how he sees through it. normal has yet to figure out he is Hermie, so has Taylor, Link and Scary know tho. He does get really badly hurt once, thats where his burns come from, and he does get an outfit change and becomes more unhinged afterwards. He does wear makeup underneath the mask, he has taken it off once to look at normal and it has cracked after he got burned. Somehow always in the place of the fight or close to it.

Bonus:

Ericka- would be a much better superhero than the teens if she wanted to, but she doesn't have the time. She does ocassionally help tho. Does not need powers to kick ass.

So i want this au to focus more on their school lives and silly things. The villians are less body horrory and more campy etc. The story will probablly focus on the teens and their shenanigans and dealing with responsibilty of being superheros and basiclly child soldiers. I think after the doodler got unleashed the sky didn't turn red and they didn't have to switch realms but the dads still did fuck up in some way idk in what way tho.

I think thats all for now? Sorry for the ramble (and for deleting that ask accidently :( ). It is like 1:30 and i have to wake up early but this felt important. This are juat my loose thoughts, most of which i just came up with on the spot. I hope to do some more content for this au in the future but who knows. so my brother's been visiting for a couple weeks, and normally we (me, my brother, and sister) watch or rewatch a bunch of shit while he's here,,,, so last night we were doing that but my sister wanted to go to bed after a couple movies, but me and my brother wanted to stay up and still watch something still,,,, so we wanted to pick something our sister wouldn't care if we watched without her,,,, so we decided on C.astlevania,,,,, my brother didn't wanna watch any eps from the third season, i said "we have to watch episodes from the fourth season because V.arney is in it" im pretty sure he just thinks I like V.arney as a character he doesn't know how i ship with him tho I'm not good at hiding my affections, so he probably knows it's more then platonic love of a character *rip*,,,, but my sister who does know that I ship with V.arney or at least know vaguely that i do, from down the hall overheard my suggestion, and was like "I heard he stinks, you can't watch that" (she wasn't being mean she was doing a bit, since we will roast characters eachother like for sillies,,, tho he canonically does smell bad lol)

when i was pulling up the episodes my brother started laughing cause he realized the timestamps are all at random points of each of the episodes,,, and he was like "You have them all stopped in the middle of the episodes, on the V.arneys scenes don't you?" and I just laughed and agreed cause he was spot on 😂 I told him "earlier I mentioned how I had "''episodes recorded"'' I really just meant the V.arney scenes" idk what he was thinking when I said that cause he just laughed and was like "Oh my gosh" 💀 Anyways,,, when V.arney first shows up I'm like "There he is! my boy!" and the next scene when they show him my brother immediately was like "There's your boy" 🥰 and then later on when G.ermain (one of my brothers faves in the show) is going through it, I made a joke saying "Your boys looking rough" he just responds saying "It's your boys fault" 😂 calling V.arney just "my boy" feels very much so like an understatement,,,, since he is in fact my husband, not just "my boy" that sounds more casual,,,,Idc if my brother knows I ship with V.arney,,,, but at the same time idk if I would feel comfortable if he knew I see V.arney as a husband,,,, 😅

But being able to gush throughout the episodes at his scenes, and pointing out details about him has me feeling all 🥰💞💞💖💞💞💞 I don't get to gush about V.arney enough to other people,,, since not all of you know his source, so id feel bad just info dumping, and fandomwise there's hardly any post for him to reblog,,, so I can't do it much as I want to,,,, so it's nice to be able to do for a change with to someone who actually know him,,,, and it's always fun to see others acknowledge my affections for a f/o UwU 💕 Still doing our rewatch so I will mention if anything else noteworthy is said (or if i just wanna post about for myself so I don't forget, like mostly how this post is meant to be)

I would not be surprised at all if this turned out to be The Fanservice Season of all time and mostly fluff, because Gaiman said that a season THREE would be an adaptation of the planned sequel novel. This is more like,,, an intermediate setup for the sequel. And I also heard that some stuff got cut out because of COVID complications. So on one hand I'm kind of, worriedly, expecting a dip in quality with S2; but it makes me wonder if we're going to get any real answers at all until the very last minute.

i hear you re: concerns, and i think that is a risk with any sequel; that it won't carry the same panache, or quality, or heart and soul of what the original source material was or meant to be. this fandom is incredibly fervent and enthusiastic and every single one of us wants it to succeed, so it's only natural that the fandom might carry these doubts to varying degrees. the concern is usually only meant out of the sheer hope that it will be a fitting continuation of this hugely loved and magnificent book and series, rather than out-and-out pessimism that by nature of being a sequel, it was always doomed to failure.

the concern isn't unfounded... on paper. COVID had the potential to be fatal to elements of the tv/film industry, and certainly the way it works has since changed dramatically... some of it for worse, some of it for better. as you say, neil has been really candid that it affected the budget of s2 and therefore posed certain limitations, but i truly don't think it's going to be to s2's detriment. there is also the fact that there is no novel from which s2 will be adapted. however, that novel started in neil and terry's minds, the same genesis as s2/s3, and regardless of terry sadly having since passed away, it will always be the story they want or wanted to tell.

frankly, i think neil is naturally the no.1 fan of the story they built and were planning to build together (would be alarming if he weren't!) and obviously cares very deeply about not only it and its characters, but also the legacy that it embodies. if neil states that he's happy with, and proud of, how s2 turned out, im more than inclined to trust and believe him. he has the highest stake out of anyone else involved; cast, crew, studio, or fan.

exposition in books (from the uneducated, inexperienced view of this reader) is arguably easier to navigate than translating the same to screen. you have a literal narration in books as opposed to it being optional in tv (eg god in s1), whether that be 1st/2nd/3rd person, a central character or side character, whoever. so, elements like thought processes have to be acted out through an experience or as dialogue, rather than an inner-monologue recollection. a memory has to be actualised, rather than just remembered, because we don't have a written narrative to help us. for example, in the hypothetical book sequel, aziraphale could remember the job incident with probably a one page summary, and that would get the point across - but to adapt that the screen, that's going to require a more literal depiction so that the audience is up to speed, and there's no ambiguity.

so my thought process would be that s3, yes, would have been the hypothetical second book, but for tv's sake, s2 is made from elements of the first and second book combined. as you say, it's made to build a bridge to s3 where, i imagine, the proverbial will hit the fan. all of that set up, the exposition, background narrative, needs to be laid out somewhere, and im inferring that it would be altogether too much to put into a s3. hence s2 will exist. it would be a big story to tell, and easier to do in two books than in two series.

my gut feeling is, and i totally realise a) others may not agree, and b) this may end up being wrong, but some of that set-up in s2 is going to be a major tone shift. there usually is in any show/film or book series; in the middle of the overall story, the characters are put against conflict usually not only working against them collectively, but conflict also amongst each other. i don't think it will be any different for s2; that there will be something that occurs in this series that will carry the driving emotion into s3.

i truly and honestly hope that i am surprised by the boys not having any conflict between each other (as well as conflict with Other Entities) by the end of s2, and i would love for the opening of s3 to be rooted in solidarity and togetherness between them both, but i just somehow don't feel like it will... but that's my expectation, not a certainty. in any case, regardless of the S2 Angst Debate, this season is again set up for s3, so yes - i think it's guaranteed that all of the threads from s2 will weave together in perhaps the last ten or so minutes, and the final Problem will be revealed as the "dun-dun-dun" moment to propel us into s3.

as for fanservice? id respectfully disagree, and say i don't think it will be fanservice at all. fanservice looks different for different people, and honestly nowhere more than in GO. some people will want certain romantic moments, or certain hurt/comfort moments, angst moments, intimate moments, conflict moments, historical narrative moments... you catch my drift. neil has been pretty adamant that the story and canon is where he takes it, and is pretty upfront that he takes measures to avoid fans' headcanons and fic wherever possible. so actually, if someone's headcanon happens on screen, doesn't that just mean that that someone had the same thought for where these characters were going as neil did when he wrote it? that's not fanservice in my eyes, that's just being on the same wavelength as the author, and that - in my opinion - would be pretty cool.✨
