playing the touchtarved demo again and i know i saw a bunch of people a while back theorising that Leander asks you about all the other LIs in an attempt to manipulate but i dont think that entirely true. He will say good and bad things about everyone. Unlike some of the other LIs who will just straight up say they hate a bitch lol

I think he asks for your opinion bcs info gathering is his bread and butter. I think perhaps thats how he manages to afford all that he does (lodging, drinks on the whole bar etc). Well. Info and doing favours for favours.

Kuras mentions that Leander seems to know everyone at the Wet Wick and when you first meet Leander, he instantly clocks you as a stranger so that checks out. In additional all the LIs mention how information is currency in Eridia

It also makes me think of the barkeeper's comment about Leander having a room just for his dalliances and i wonder if sleeping with people is also another way for him to get people to trust him/share info. I also think he likes being liked and needed. That and hes a bit of a slut bcs he seems to be into most if not all of the cast to some degree lmao

Anyway I think with the evil Leander theories being so popular, its easy to take everything he does and says as suspicious (i know i def felt like that for a long while. Still do to a degree) so im trying to take a step back and be less biased.

when he is dedicated to you, he is dedication itself. certainly still have to do pr and fanservice when he meets some fans in the street, but before he leaves he will always squeeze your hand like asking for permission and he always does it with such efficiency that some of his friends wonder if he is trained to return as quickly as possible to your side. (yeah. isagi values efficiency and like how he wants a goal, he wants to enjoy his date with you.)

comfort hcs tho, when you feel insecure or down in some ways talk to him. he might pick up the bad mood but he isn't the type to try and overstep when you don't want to tell him. and as said before, he is a really good listener who is always there for you, so it will really do you good.

“Sangyeon?”

You poked your head outside of the door. Your boyfriend immediately looked up, his hair slightly damp from sweat and his previously focused expression quickly became a foolish, very-in-love one.

“Hi there,” He greeted, his eyes bright simply at the sight of you. He approached you, pulling you into a tight hug. “I missed you.”

“Eugh,” You groaned, pushing him off. “I have your drink balanced in my hand and you’re all sweaty from dance.”

He pouted and took the iced americano from you. “You didn’t say it back.”

You looked at him in disbelief for a second before sighing in defeat. “I missed you too.”

“That’s what I wanted to hear,” He sang, leaning in to press a kiss to your cheek. You laughed bashfully, turning your head slightly. That was when you noticed another man, staring intently at himself in the mirror.

“Hyunjae,” You called out with a wave. 

He turned around and he immediately broke out into a friendly smile. “Y/n!” His voice was bright and loud as usual as he approached the two of you. “Actually, now would be a good opportunity to ask you a question.”

You tilted your head.

And to your surprise, he rolled up his sleeve to show off his entire arm. “Do you think I got more muscular?” 

You lifted an eyebrow. Hyunjae whined as he brought his sleeve back down.

“Why are you asking me?”

“Because I need another opinion. I worked out a lot for the past few weeks,” He explained. You thought for a second. As a perfectly good, moral friend, you replied earnestly.

“I see a lot of progress.” You patted his shoulder. “Your arm… muscles look great.”

Hyunjae nodded in satisfaction. “I treasure your opinion.” And then he was off to buy a snack from the vending machine. With an amused smile, you turned back to Sangyeon, only to be met with the most adorable pout in the world. His eyebrows were furrowed as he searched your eyes with sorrow.

“Sangyeon?”

“What about me?”

You paused. And then you burst out into laughter. But, before you could respond, he was pulling you out and into the hallway. You watched him with a fond smile.

“Jealous?” 

He only replied with an embarrassed silence. You chuckled.

“I think that your muscles are amazing,” You exaggerated. Sangyeon groaned, leaning forward to pull you into a hug so that he could hide his face.

“What else do you like?” He whispered. In the corner of your eye, you could see that the tips of his ears were red.

“Mmm…” You hummed. “Your lips?”

He pulled away at that, and he gazed at you, or moreover–your lips–with a sultry expression. “Oh really?” He muttered, leaning in. You sputtered slightly, completely forgetting your past remark about him being sweaty. In fact, he looked very attractive like this. 

And before you could even say a “yes,” he was already leaning in, pressing a deep kiss to yours.

Humming happily to yourself, you and Jacob were cuddling in bed until you were interrupted by an excited yell from the living room.

“Y/n!” Kevin’s voice called out loudly. “C’mere! There’s a new music video!”

You widened your eyes, turning to look at Jacob who was only staring back at you with soft eyes. He always said that he enjoyed seeing you happy and excited.

“Go,” He mumbled. You smiled and practically jumped out of his arms to run over to Kevin who had turned on the video of your shared favorite music artist. The two of you laughed hysterically as you watched and soon enough, you found yourself dancing with him, holding up fake microphones to sing. 

Grasping hands, jumping up and down, you and Kevin, as perfectly good best friends, danced to the music. Little did you know, Jacob was watching from around the corner. Though he half enjoyed watching you have fun, he also half didn’t enjoy seeing you have fun with someone else. 

Once the music video was over, you looked over to Jacob who was watching with a serious expression. Slightly out of breath, you walked over, only for him to take you by the wrist and whisk you away privately.

“Is everything okay?” You frowned.

He shook his head. “No. I’m jealous.”

Your jaw almost dropped open at his words. He was never one to be so straightforward. But then your eyes softened as you cupped his jaw with your hand.

“Don’t be, you know that I love to dance with you the most.”

“Really?” He narrowed his eyes skeptically. “Because we never have before.”

“Then let’s do it now.”

“Aren’t you tired from all that dancing?” His gaze was gentle and kind.

You shook your head with an eager smile, taking his hand in yours and leading him to the middle of the room. Slowly, you began to slow dance with him, swaying and holding him close to his chest. 

“Oh,” He breathed out, a smile growing on his lips. “We should do this more often.”

You smiled, resting your cheek against his chest. “I think so too.”

It was silent for a moment, just the two of you stepping side to side, embracing each other’s warmth.

“I love you,” Jacob whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. 

You grinned, leaning up to instead kiss his lips. “I love you too.”

younghoon

“Ouch,” Younghoon muttered, massaging the spot on his chest where you had just run into.

You frowned. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to bump into you.” You cupped his cheeks, pressing small kisses all over. He was about to lean in to press his lips to yours until you heard a familiar cackle from down the hallway.

Panicking, you looked up at your boyfriend. “I have to go. Changmin’s going to get me.” And before he could even utter a response, you were already running to hide in another room. It was a simple game of chase between friends. Neither of you knew who even started it.

Younghoon watched silently as you laughed dearly when Changmin had found you. His heart warmed at the sight of your beautiful smile but, there was a frown on his lips when he saw how it was his own friend who made you giggle. With a sigh, he walked away, devising a quick plan in his head.

Breathing heavily, you burst into an empty room, trying to find a place to hide. Just as you walked past the walk-in closet, you felt a gentle, familiar hand grab onto your wrist and pull you in. With a yelp, you found yourself pressed up right against to Younghoon’s chest.

Before you could even ask him what was wrong, his hand was on your waist as he brought you into a soft kiss, tilting his head lightly. You were confused, but you easily melted into the kiss with a small smile.

“Younghoon…” You whispered, pulling away with a shy expression.

He lifted an eyebrow with an adorable frown, his hair slightly messy. “You’re having fun, aren’t you?”

You noticed that his voice was laced with obvious sarcasm and so you stared at him in utter disbelief. And then you broke out into fond laughter.

“Are you jealous?” You questioned, letting your hand trail down to his.

His frown only deepened, making you grin more. “...yes.”

“You’re so cute.” You smiled. “You know that you’re the only one for me, right?” He nodded silently and so you pressed your lips to his again. He let out a satisfied hum as he leaned in even deeper.

Stumbling out of the closet, red-cheeked and out of breath, the two of you looked up, only to see Changmin standing outside. He grimaced.

“Ew, oh my god,” He groaned before sticking his tongue out. “I won by the way. Since you got distracted.”

“Can you turn on the speaker?” Hyunjae appeared behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you into a tight back hug. “We have to practice.”

You eyed him with faux annoyance. “If you would let me go, I will.”

He smiled cheekily, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. “In a minute.”

Sticking your tongue out, you wriggled out of his hold and approached the speaker, only to find it in the worst spot possible. Reaching in the weirdest angles, you couldn’t quite get the button. Immediately, Hyunjae, who always had his eyes on you, noticed.

“I can do it–” He called out.

“Here you go.” Sangyeon suddenly appeared beside you, getting the switch with ease. Smiling up at him, you thanked him.

“Such a gentleman,” You joked.

He rolled his eyes, walking away. “That’s my nature,” He remarked.

You laughed and walked back over to Hyunjae, only to find him looking at you with those puppy eyes. His lips were also pulled into a small frown.

“Hyunjae?”

He stayed silent, turning away grumpily. With a sigh, you took his hand and pulled him out of the practice room and into a separate room made for singing. 

“What’s wrong?” Your eyes softened.

“I don’t know,” He grumbled, his voice uncharacteristically quiet. “Why don’t you ask Sangyeon?”

That was when it suddenly hit you, your lips parting in surprise. Biting back a fond smile, you stepped forward and hugged him. He only sulkily looked down at you and refused to return it.

“You're… jealous?” You grinned. Immediately, he was blushing with a huff of breath. He tried to avoid your eyes but you only persisted, following his gaze. Finally, with a small squirm, he nodded.

You laughed as you leaned in to hide your face in his chest.

“Then can you maybe help me with something?”

Pulling away, he looked at you with excitement as if to tell you that he would do anything for you. Which he certainly would.

“What is it?”

You hummed with a mischievous smile. “My lips are feeling a bit unoccupied.”

He chuckled with a small smirk. “Gladly. Of course I’ll help you with that.” He pressed a kiss to your lips, holding you tightly by the waist. By the time he was done, your lips felt sore. He only smiled proudly at his effect.

“Would Sangyeon be able to do that for you?”

“No," You mumbled, your cheeks flushing.

“The only correct answer,” He teased before kissing you again.

dino beganovic - okayyy soooo. this and paul's will go kinda in the same direction… like i was not surprised to see him act not like super happily lol. i understand! when around fans or just people he doesn't know too well, he was not very excited. but when he was talking to jamie (ollie's... idk what he is? manager ish?), he was that cute happy self he can be! but most of the time, it was the dino we get to see in most prema videos from this year (like the "how well do you know your teammates" one) where he's just…. idk :/ dont blame him tho, im sure he's a great guy once you get to know him!!

gabriele mini - honestly i feel like i barely saw him, except when he and his gf were leaving 😭 welp. but he seemed happy to carry around his trophy!!

arvid lindblad - saw him already on thursday and was shocked both because i couldn't believe my eyes (it's him!! he actually exists!!!!!) and bcs he was much shorter than i had anticipated 😭 sorry arvid

sami meguetounif - i didn't see him around a lot but i saw him on the friday helping his team pack up the tent (carrying big things and such), while all other drivers seemed to not really care (from what i could see)(not just trident, but all teams). respect !!!!!!

tim tramnitz - i knew he was tall but he looked even taller irl!!!! i was so shocked, i felt so tiny

ollie goethe - seemed really happy and lowkey surprised when fans wanted to take pics with him 🥺 had a terrible haircut tho lmao i felt so bad for him... but he seemed so sweet all weekend!!! rlly wish i had talked to him aaaaaa

sebastian montoya - saw him around a lot talking to all kinds of drivers, seems very social butterfly-y :) he seemed very happy after the feature, and he seemed to definitely bring up pepe's mood too because they were talking and joking around for a long time 🥺 his sister (paulina) is also even more gorgeous irl omfg i didn't even think that would be possible…. like we always talk about how amazing she looks in pics but she was so so gorgeous irl (sadly didn't get to see her interact with nikita but 💔 i'll live ig)

luke browning - saw him tons and !! why is he so handsome ?!?!?!! genuinely fell in love all over again. what even. like i keep constantly thinking back to the eye contact we shared and im just. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 seemed sweet with fans too, not super energetic but agreed to pics and such. wish i had shown him my browning bracelet or asked him to sign my sm shirt but i was too shy 💔

paul aron - the driver i think most ppl are gonna read and ignore all other drivers lol. i only saw him on the friday and… well….. i wasnt surprised because i had not expected him to be the most open and excited etc. 🤷‍♀️ like he did agree to take pics and such! he put on a little smile for the fans! but there was nothing extra, which i understand. i think we all know the kind of expression he puts on and how "neutral" he looks at most times? like, when he's not around a close friend etc then he seems a little cold. to me, i feel like it just makes his smiles much more valuable in some way!! he wasnt very smiley even with karl or ralf, ig maybe he was focused on qualifying, but he didnt give anything extra and i dont blame him for that. still owns my heart !!!! <33 and i think that the difference from dino is that he seemed more focused and more ig neutral than cold like dino. paul didnt seem neither happy nor mad etc, just blank. 😌 (but god did he look SO GOOD, his hair was so light and my heart wanted to jump out of my chest istg. he looked so so good that i was too shy to even look too much at him 😭)

im not sure if this is the right place to ask this but do you have any advice about writing or posting fic after nearly a decade? the last time i posted fic it was a very different fandom and i was 13 ish. what i am struggling with specifically is that last time i wasnt really thinking about including themes or accurate characterisations etc. and the new fandom i want to write in is much smaller and has some incredible writers. the prose is so good with incredible diction, different styles and literary techniques.

so essentially i've stalled because im so focused on trying to incorporate these things that i just end up not writing anything. i think its also a general lack of confidence maybe?

I feel like there are maybe two different things in your ask here? There's the issue of writing (especially in a new fandom) and then there's the issue of posting and wanting people to actually read your stuff!

I know this is such a cliche but I really do actually believe this, which is - when it comes to writing, YOUR VOICE MATTERS! Sure you can absolutely emulate the work you're loving (and there's nothing wrong with that! I've certainly done it, I think a lot of us have, especially in the beginning), but it sounds like you're maybe forgetting the most important part. Which is this, in my opinion. Your story is valuable because it's YOURS. No one else can tell it. That's where all the stuff about "write what you want, for you" comes in.

What would you write if you could let go of all of the expectations you're burdening yourself with, to live up to other people's writing, and just let yourself write?

In part - it's so much easier to edit than it is to write (at least that's true for me, my fellow writers, PLEASE feel free to add on to this). The first draft is just for getting it out of your head - from there, you can focus on the craft part of it (if you want to!), really honing your narrative and characterizations and whatnot. But write the first draft and let it be ugly.

In terms of breaking into a new fandom, especially a small one, well. I dunno, but for me, I do love some very rare pairs and when I find something new, I get really excited! So I'm betting there's an audience for your work - it might be small, but dang, I bet it's enthusiastic.

For connecting with people, well. @allwaswell16 has really great enthusiasm for self-promotion (and I'm so bad at it, but she's NOT wrong) - write your fic, make a fic post, post it and reblog it. Tag it!

I know for me, I'm probably too shy to reach out to people and say hey! pls read my fic? But if you haven't made some fandom connections as like, a fan, that might be worth doing as well - not to get people to read your work, but to have other fans to celebrate with! I've made some incredible friends simply by shrieking in the comments on the fics and then stalking them on Tumblr to yell at them some more about how much I love their work. (All in complete sincerity too.)

I am pretty bad at Discord and writers groups and stuff, but maybe there are people there to connect with as well?

And like, a thing I want to be really clear about is, it's 100% okay (and like, super normal?? I think??) to *want* people to read your stuff! I write for me, I share it because I want other people to like it too. it does take time to build up those connections usually, but again, I'm guessing that people who love that pairing are going to be excited for someone who's excited to join in.

hot take no one asked for: atyd is way too canon compliant for the marauders fandom

ok first of all i'd like to clear up some things. i know many people love it, it's a very very important part of the marauders fandom and it's very well written. no hate to enjoyers OR mskingbean89 (whom i respect very much, thank u). the wolfstar is definitely GOLDEN and the jily is adorable. this is a very personal view that i have been thinking about, and felt like sharing. also note that i dropped the fic and only got up till, like, fifth or sixth year

there are multiple things which id like to list from the fic that makes me not like it very much as a person with a lot of marauders hcs that are very much not canon compliant, and that feel like the author is writing from a very 'just entered the fandom cuz of wolfstar lol' understanding. again, absolutely NO hate intended, and ik the writing does NOT indicate how much the person understands about the fandom. also, understanding doesn't matter!! everyone who's part of the fandom is part of the fandom, and that's that.

keep in mind that these are things that I PERSONALLY hc. nothing is canon here in the marauders era fandom and if it is, it smells terrible and as such, everyone will have different ideas

also, while i'm at it, i'd like to compliment some things rq. remus portrayal and character development - PEAK. beautifully written. explanation and portrayal of mary (who's character i didn't really understand before reading atyd) - AMAZING. the relationship between the black brothers also made me cry (THE LETTER SCENE?!?!?! YALL KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABT). also grant is my bbg

here's the list:

hufflepuff dorcas (who also dated pete???) (i hc her to be slytherin and also part of the skittles)

no dorlene (a ship that's basically slightly less popular lesbian wolfstar in terms of how many ppl add dorlene to their stories (a lot))

shy marlene (whereas marlene is usually depicted as very bombastic and explosive and also very much gay). actually i liked this portrayal of marlene which was very well written and also adorable but... idk i don't see marlene as a shy girl

no evan rosier/pandora rosier/(slytherin) dorcas? only barty and regulus (so basically, no slytherin skittles/royal court/pantheon)

on that note, obviously-mean reg? (as in, instead of quietly sneering at people like many of us hc him, he outright shames ppl for being gay) (also i didn't mention barty cuz we all know barty's a little shit)

very toxic sirius (who ignored reg just bc he was sorted into slytherin, who fwb with remus and acted like it was normal and straight (guys fwb w a guy as a giy id bery much not straight), who didn't do much but fuck girls and cheat on them, who was outwardly jealous and mean to christopher, who acted weird and badmouthed grant after learning he and rem used to be tgt)

sirius hating pete (although this makes sense and is a common viewpoint of the harry potter fandom especially that pete is annoying or unlikeable, it feels rly rly cruel and makes sirius even more unlikeable imo cuz WHAT did bbg do to u he's js a kid he hasn't killed no one yet?)

all of these points show that mskingbean89 doesn't seem to pay much attention to characters (or more specifically, the fanon interpretations of characters) other than wolfstar and jily. many of these are key hcs that can be found in 75% of marauders content at least (example, dorlene) and the hcs they have seem straight out of hp (the books). ONE MORE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE BACK: THERE IS NO ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THIS. i just personally don't see much of the content i love of the marauders characters (although ik that isn't the point of atyd, as it is wolfstar-centric)

so for her name, i went with the animal breeds because i originally planned to flesh out her planet a little bit more and establish an almost animalistic society within, where the main species was like the foxians with long life spans and animal qualities like ears and tails. so calico was named after her hybrid species, a calico cat. she originally had ears and a tail and i scrapped it for a little while but now im bringing it back because i am cringe but i'm free.

tabby was named as a parallel, another cat breed, but also different at the same time. since she was a replica of calico *without* the wounds and mental scars, she's almost like an idealized version of calico. tabby is almost everything that calico could have been, and yet failed to be.

so there's calico and tabby, the latter being a replica of the original. and her older sister's name was corgi, the dog breed. i've decided on a last name for them but i don't think i'm gonna reveal that juuuuusssttttt yet. i mean, calico herself doesn't even know about her last name. her sister's baby's name was going to be lykoi, which is another cat breed and her sister's husband's name was going to be shepherd, a dog breed, but ultimately i decided not to name either because it felt like too tiny of a detail to share in a dream.

so calico doesn't hate the ipc, unfortunately. they were the ones who ultimately found her on her dead planet, and then they took care of her when she was in that coma, and then even after while she was recovering. unfortunately, most people within the ipc were just mostly curious about her state of being and not actually caring about what happened to her. she'd been exposed to a stellaron burst for over 200 years and lived on a desolate planet with virtually no food or shelter and no human interaction ( aside from,, well the aeon but does nanook even really count at this point ? ) she was far, far too interesting of a study.

you can imagine how she felt being poked and prodded and tested every single day while she was in recovery, and there were definitely some invasive screenings done that she definitely didn't enjoy, but as long as the doctor's said that they were required, she didn't question them all that much. who was she to question who saved her life ? why would she ever think about why these tests where done when they were telling her it was because they needed to properly understand her to help her ?

regardless of how friendly or not friendly she is with the ipc, she enjoys her job at the planetary protection division, and it brings her solace knowing that she could be saving someone in her exact predicament with each world that she steps onto. what she doesn't know is that her offers for help dont come from for free for these planets, and she's usually got a member or two of the strategic investment department there to handle the business side of things while she got her hands dirty and actually helped the planet recover from their crisis. sometimes these planets are able to pay for these services, sometimes they get put on a loan plan, it really just depends on how the planet was fairing. her job is to be those people who offered the ipc's assistance to belobog which gave them some of their technology but ultimately almost got them in serious trouble if it weren't for topaz and the trailblazers.

oh she absolutely compares tabby and corgi subconsciously. calico doesn't remember anything about her sister or her life before she woke up with the ipc, but her body does. sometimes she'll find herself longing for something, missing something that she can't grasp. maybe a lost memory, maybe a lost person. that feeling only grows when she's around tabby, someone who's so much like her its scary. corgi was a loud and opinionated person, and she didn't shy away from saying what's on her mind, often embarrassing calico in the process, exactly like tabby. i kind of want tabby to be like corgi in some ways, and like calico in other ways, something that unnerves calico.

tabby reminds her of someone that she can't remember, giving her a longing sense of deja vu. ratio does too, to be fair. not only did she know him from her past when he went to school at veritas prime, but in her original story, i had planned for her to be on that flight when the stellaron burst because a man had gone missing, and she was the only one who hadn't given up looking for him. that man wasn't ratio, but he was someone like him. intelligent, a little tsundere and mean, but ultimately he cared for the good of the world. calico sees this man that she had been trying so hard to find in ratio, even if she doesn't know it herself. her past will always catch up to her.

ultimately i want her to find peace. but whether that peace is a long life or.... a shorter one, i haven't decided yet. on one hand, i find it almost cruel to kill her within any story plot simply because she's survived for so long, and it would feel like all of that was for nothing just for her to die. on the other hand, she struggling internally with a lot of problems. her body is scarred, her heart is scarred, and she can't recall any memories of who she was. she had to build her personality up from scratch, while dealing with recovery and invasive testing from the ipc. her entire life for a long time became centered around her lost memories and her wounds, and that's still very much prevalent in her life, although she doesn't talk about it much.

if you look at her, you wouldn't think that she had gone through anything. she's bright and cheerful most times, with a ' we can always find a way ' attitude who's always willing to push through any obstacles to find the way forward. but those are her coping mechanisms for her heart inside. i think its mean to say it, but i think she was almost cheating death by surviving, and i think cheating death will never go right in the end. eventually its going to catch up to her, and she wont be ready when it does. she's lived a long life as a long life species, but it can always be cut short.

im torn between two options for her end :

1) nanook's power comes to her aid when she's on her last leg, but tapping into the emanator's power that had laid dormant within her tears her body apart. she'd gone through too much and her disposition was too weak to unleash such a power, and she just couldn't hold on anymore. it's a physical manifestation of everything coming out at once, and its not pretty. she dies within ratio's arms, her run towards death finally slowed down as she reached the finish line. and shes content. she'd lived too long, and too hard of a life to continue any further. she was no closer to happiness than when she started, but.. she felt something akin to happiness when she's in ratio's arms, when he looks at her. its only fitting she dies in his arms, considering he had saved her life once before, he should be there when it ends as well. in this ending, they are not lovers, and she never confessed her feelings for him, but inside, they both knew.

ratio lives knowing that she spent her last moments as happy as she could be. whether that's any solace or not is up for debate. maybe he throws himself into his work, because he could have done more. maybe he grieves her silently, maybe he doesn't grieve her at all, knowing that her pain has finally come to an end.

tabby, in the end, takes her place as the head of the planetary protection division, and picks up the name calico because no one would know the difference between the two of them. well. no one except ratio. she lives as calico, and 'tabby' was the one who died that night, not calico. this isn't the clone taking her life, this is her clone living the life that calico would have wanted for herself. and who knows, maybe ratio could even learn to love the imitation of the woman he lost, too.

2) the happier ending !! but ultimately a little less resolving. she continues her job within the planetary protection division, and makes friends within the ipc. however, the ipc eventually figure out that she has the power of the destruction within her, and they have to make a choice. a lot of people choose to support her from the shadows, like aventurine. other people, however, their loyalties lie too close with the ipc, and they cut her off, like topaz and jade. and they will hunt her down and strike her like an enemy if they see her, even if it hurts. ratio's given the choice, but he declines because he cares about her far more than he had ever cared about the ipc. aligning himself with the ipc was a means to the end, a way to spread knowledge around the world. it was not ever his goal to be loyal to the company, merely to use them for his own means.

tabby stays behind within the ipc, and she takes over as head ( you'll notice this happens with both endings, this is on purpose ) and it causes almost a rift between the people within the ipc. those who stand by calico, and those who stand by tabby. there will be some type of conflict in the end, and one of the girls will lose their lives at the end of the day. the girl who comes out of it.. well

who knows ?

they look exactly the same. they act exactly the same. they are exactly the same, just one has no trauma, and the other is a deeply scarred individual. so who knows at the end of the day which girl came out alive during that conflict, the clone, or the real one ? the ipc issues an official statement that after a thorough investigation, ' calico ' had been cleared of any suspicions of having a relationship with the aeon of destruction, and she's cleared to start working with the ipc again. ratio is obviously distrustful but maybe its better this way ? living in blissful ignorance, sometimes even the doctor of truth knows when to not search for the correct answer. sometimes life is better when you simply dont know something. all he knew was that the girl in front of him smiled warmly at him in the mornings, and she would be there when he came home from work with food on the stove ready for him. and that was enough.

alternative, secret possible ending of the second one : tabby had been the victor of that fight, but calico didn't die. instead, the aeon saved her when she was on her last leg again, but she survived bringing back the power of the emanator. now she's aligned with the shadows as a ghost, watching the world that had condemned her and waiting for its inevitable demise. after all, theres only so much one can go through before they snap mentally.

PLEASE LER HER HEAL

It's very cool that her lore is so detailed!! I'm a huge fan of stories about healing so hope she'll find her peace and survives in the end😭

btw i don't think Topaz would actually cut her off, she doesn't even speak badly about the stellaron hunters so I really don't think her opinion about calico would change, she'll just won't be as open about their friendship. plus i'm still praying for hoyo to do something with Topaz's arc and let her see that she's deluded herself about their good intentions

ive been quiet about it but i got the sickest internship ever at nick and ive been livin it up in the spngebob office and its been a great expierence but i dont know how long ill be there. i think this is the first time ive mentioned it On Social Media and its under a readmore and i didnt go out of my way to call ppl and tell em about it cuz i guess im shy? im worried it comes off as bragging? i fucked up all of college, how come im the top 5% of my class that clawed my way into the industry after graduation?

but its been extremely lovely working with great people at an awesome place and getting that sponchbob clout and learning about unions but you know ill be gone next month and its where do i go from here?

nick is fine, for the record. they have their own contract with SAG-AFTRA, not the same as the other studios and its not being fought so theres no pickets or stopping of work. writers are also TAG members if anything, not WGA members. which is good and bad but im not gonna get into it but it means we're business as usual. (TAG can't even strike for another year until its time to renew our contract, though solidarity is still expressed)

anyways its been real cool. the end will be scary and its getting real close. its gotten me all introspective.

Hey auburn, i hope dont mind me sending my thoughts in an essay format i just wanted to have a conversation that matters to me, with someone i KNOW also has a lot of thoughts and shared experiences about it; i have way too many ghost readers, people keep liking my content yet refusing to reblog or engage as if theyre ashamed of reading the stuff i make its happened in the past, this dip in engagement, its happened to others as well, and its happening again this time? its a lot worse, in my opinion, partly because of the lack of activity between the audience AND between everyone, since so many of us feel burnt out it feels like im hopelessly attempting to reason with a wall

and im thinking, maybe i should make a blog for TWST spotlight where i ask people to send me essays of their favourite fics and share fanfic through submissions. maybe that could help with this issue the fanbase has been having lately. i know i complain a lot, but i also care so much for this fanbase. it may not look like it, i know some people think im intimidating -but i want everyone to get the spotlight they deserve as entertainers. because the people here can make such creative and damn welll awe inspiring content. its why i want to help everyone stay afloat in terms of support. I want everyone to recieve strong, vocal, damn-near overwhelming(but in THE good way) support. its why i started the TWST spotlight reblog thread, its why ive been more and more pushing on the things like "tell me your favourite fics! reblog your fav fics! read old fanfic! what was the first TWST fic you read?"

i don't want to have anyone to deal with a ghost audience problem, so ill have to see if i can find some new things to help improve the dip in engagement again Because, honestly? talking to wall is not that motivating. i want to find a way to spark a chain of excitement that gets things going, maybe a collab, maybe through encouraging authors to make group blogs where they actively support each other, maybe through the TWST spotlight that i already host whatever it is I want to find a way to support everyone (or, more accurately; I want to find a way for everyone to get support again, i guess)

i understand all of this perfectly ^^; i think that blog idea is a good one and i hope that people would engage with it because that also depends on engagement from readers!!

YOURE SO REAL FOR THAT i swear the most EARTH SHATTERING FICS do not get enough recognition. i even see it on fics that I'M super proud of that get like 20 reblogs and i just groan to myself because ughhhh why did i even work that hard???

its greta that all of the authors here care so much for each other :(( really, i think content creators are the only reason other content creators are even still creating at this point. like my tumblr mutuals who actively create content along with me are usually the ones that reblogs my posts and i am sooo thankfulf or them :((

i know a lot fo readers are "shy" and dont want to interact because of that, so i dont necessarily think the likes the reblog thing is out of malice (though sometimes it DEFINITELY is out of disrespect.) they just really need to be more vocal. even a good job means the world.

Do you ever have anyone look over the dialogue you’ve written for your comics or do you go over it yourself?

all of my comics are made by me alone, no one proofreads anything for me lol which is why there's constant typos and grammar issues. sometimes if i share a page with a friend they will point out something, or a reader points out a typo, and ill fix it. but id say 99.99% is just me.. I'm just really shy from opinions on my writing so id rather post and just accept defeat. I think at most for dialogue, sometimes i might share a line (or a rough version of a line i want to use in the scene) to a friend to see how it sounds, or to bounce ideas off of for a scene im working on. but thats usually before i even have a chance to write it down, so i do it to help me remember so i can go write the scene for real.

1. Are they from Sandrock? If not, where were they born? Domi was born in Highwind! She follows the builder blueprint (hehe) pretty closely so she moved to Sandrock as a builder :)

3. Which city state would they most like to visit, and why? Tallsky! It sounds beautiful for starters but also Mi-an is from there… it’d love to visit her family someday.

6. What’s their opinion on the Church of the Light? Ewe’s pretty apathetic for the most part. On one hand ewe can understand the fear it stems from and the desire to stay away from the dangerous technology that brought about the downfall of the world centuries ago, but on the other hand it might not hurt to explore it in a safe way.

10. What’s their house like? Is it well decorated? Do they take pride in their home or let it get messy? (ok ingame her house is a bit all over the place bc im lazy so im just going to answer this how it Would be in an ideal world <3) It’s fairly minimalistic and simple but with cute ornaments strewn about! She treasures any and all gifts and loves to decorate with them. Things do tend to get a little messy as she’s always busy and often forgets to take care of herself, nevermind her home, but it’s a well-loved space.

19. What’s their favourite season? Spring! It doesn’t do well in the freezing cold but summer is too hot for it (especially summer in Sandrock). Sandrock’s spring is a nice temperature :)

Domi frequents Fang’s clinic as ewe suffers from bad stress headaches. It’s something that ewe just has to live with and ewe refuses to let it get in the way of ewe’s job. Ewe always has ibuprofen on hand incase a headache hits while ewe’s out and about.

She has autism (bc i also have autism so all my ocs are autistic by default <3) and goes nonverbal occasionally! It’s usually brought on by dealing with too many people at once but sometimes it just happens. She tries to avoid people in order to let herself recharge but if she has to run errands she’ll bring a notepad and pen with her so she can write to talk :) Her Sandrock pals are all used to this (especially fang you cannot tell me that man does not have autism and doesnt also go nonverbal. he totally gets it) and are accommodating!

It writes poetry in the evening to wind down before it sleeps. It’s shy about sharing it with anyone but it’s written Mi-an, Nia and Heidi love letters with poetry in them so they’ve seen them :)

Speaking of women. I know we don’t have Nia in Sandrock yet but Domi’s endgame is polydating Mi-an, Nia and Heidi! Mi-an and Nia live with ewe and are also dating each other (i think they’d be cute) while Domi is dating Heidi by herself :) I also know this won’t be possible ingame but I’m quietly hoping someone makes a polymod 🤞

Domi’s Nemo is named Muffin! She also has a Palomino horse named Vanilla and a white horse named Marshmallow (i think i had to name it smth like mallow ingame bc marshmallow wouldnt fit but its meant to be called marshmallow hehe). I would really like her to have a goat as well…pwease Pathea🥺

Domi and Nia had a mutual crush on each other for years but never addressed it until Domi moved to Sandrock and realised just how much ewe missed her.
