why do I never see shias do dawah

(Dawah is the Islamic concept of proselytization)

Because we've been oppressed for the last 1400 years that we've been more concerned about defending our faith than to do missionary work. Given that Shi'as were forced to do Taqiyyah (dissimulation) to avoid being killed, there has never been an appropriate time for us. It's seldom that non-Muslims convert to Shi'as Islam, because we don't engage in missionary work. Additionally, Imam Ja'far as Sadiq (a) taught us that Dawah should be made through action (through good acts), not through speech.

Certainly, when a believer commits a sin, their sin's record is kept on hold until the next morning, for perhaps they may repent and ask forgiveness for it, and perhaps they may perform a good deed that will erase it. Indeed, God is Most Merciful towards His creation, and will always find excuses to forgive them.

“The life of mankind does not amount to more than an instant. What is passed is now non-existent, you do not feel its pleasure or pain. As for what is yet to come, you do not know what it is. The true and precious capitals of your life are those few instants you presently enjoy. Master then, your soul, and strive to redeem yourself and attain salvation, be steadfast in enduring the rigor of worshipping Allah and obeying His commandments, and preserve yourself from the pollution of sin and disobedience to Allah.”
