Yays, i’ve done it ! I’ve completed the fanart!! I love this scene so much idrk why I do, but when i read it i got instant motivation to make this >:)

(The scene is in one of the first 3-5 chapts i believe ,, micheal revisiting some old graffiti tags him and his brothers made , leo joining him.)

Ughggh these two are my life— all of the boys are aaeussnssfsfsf. At that point i was desperate for leo cause they all were seriously down in the dumps.

Also, i know the fic stated/implied that he was not at all transparent to both mikey and himself, but i didn’t know how to convey the fact he’s just kinda a spirit rn. So he’a just a taaaad bit transparent.

Also, theres paint splatter on the floor of when leon made a mess back when, everyone’s colors are there,, you might have to look hard to find it tho :p

But anyways I love @dandylovesturtles IMBI (which btw you should all read if you haven't already) so I decided to draw fanart for it, I hope you like it Dandy :)

What’s your favorite Rise of TMNT fanfic, and why?

The top spot on my list belongs to I May Be Invisible, But I Still Look Good (by @dandylovesturtles), for so many reasons! I think the characterization and tone are both spot on, to a very impressive extent! It's also super easy to get emotionally invested in the story, and it all flows together so well. I don't really know how to explain it, but when reading this fic, it's clear that it has a full story with important plot points and a conclusion that it's building towards (as opposed to aimlessly drifting along until it just sort of reaches a stopping point). Every chapter has me invested from beginning to end, and it's just an overall very enjoyable reading experience! I honestly can't recommend this fic enough, because I'm convinced that any Rise fan would love it just as much as I do!

Another fic that I'm really enjoying right now is The Aftermath (by @starrcrossrose). The author does this thing where you'll read a section from one character's point of view, then the next part will rewind a bit and you'll get to read the same events from another character's perspective. Each point of view adds a new layer to what's currently going on, and I just love how the exact same event can be experienced so differently depending on whose head we're in at that particular moment. It's a really neat writing technique that I think this fic does exceptionally well!

Have you considered doing a dtiys kind of thing with a snippet from one of your fics? Like, have a bunch of people draw their interpretation of the same scene? Idk I just think that would be fun!

That sounds like it could be fun! I don't want to feel like I'm just fishing for fanart though haha

I have thought before that it might be fun to do an event where you give, like, a bit of dialogue, or a general broad scenario, and then see what people do with it (both artists and writers). Kinda like when people do fic weeks or like the risetober prompts (with a one word prompt for each day) except with a bit longer prompt.

I guess if there's interest we could do an IMBI themed one? Maybe it would just be fun to see people's interpretations of like, what if a different brother got cursed, or a different character entirely (ghost April?)
