japan: the itnerary and the essentials
^ Here's some listening music you can enjoy while reading this (animal crossing soundtrack)
Making the decision to go to Japan was sort of surreal. I think I've always wanted to go to Japan since I was literally 8 years old, but I never conceptualized what I was gonna do there. Planning this trip was a bit chaotic, I realized I didn't even know what I wanted to do, I just wanted to go :0 We (me and two girls I met in HK, Esther and Sofia!) just planned the cities to go to and some locations we wanted to see, but nothing too specific. Now post trip, I can finally take you through our itnerary with spontaneous moments included 😎
Osaka -> Nara -> Kyoto -> Tokyo
Before going, some spots I planned for were:
Deer Park (Nara)
Bamboo Grove (Kyoto)
Monkey Park (Kyoto)
Uji (Kyoto)
Fushimi Inari Taisha (Kyoto)
Go to an Onsen (Kyoto)
Nishiki Market (kyoto)
Tofu ??? (kyoto)
Teamlab (tokyo)
As you can see, not very well researched ..... (T_T)
But I think this foreshadowed how much I wanted to explore (and stay) in Kyoto since it ended up being my favorite city in Japan by far!!! ♡( ◡‿◡ )
I'll detail my experience in each city on separate posts. I'll have pictures and everything so look forward to it 😎

Let's go to a segment I like to call :D Things I did that helped me survive in Japan :D
🥬I downloaded the Suica Card on my apple wallet before I went. This is their universal metro card that works on all lines in Japan! You can add money onto it, and I used my mastercard! Unfortunately they dont take visa :( I didn't realize until I got back they were charging an international fee everytime I loaded $ on my card so if you have a no international fees mastercard, you're good 🥲
🥦I also downloaded google translate 🗣️and google maps 🗺️ For google translate, I downloaded japanese and english so I could translate faster if I was looking at a menu or talking to someone who couldn't speak english. Google maps is also great for saving spots you wanna visit and accurate directions!
🥒In terms of the language barrier, I got away with either getting the gist of it, pointing, or using google translate. In more touristy spots, more people spoke english. My most used japanese words were "kon'nichiwa", "arigatōgozaimasu", "hai", and "kādo" (ToT) I know.

Ok so quick question/thoughts regarding the game Story of Seasons Trio of Towns, (Because I couldn’t sleep and ended up watching story of seasons clips characters) I saw in the DLC you can have a child with the fox spirit Inari just....how do the rest of the villages react?
Because they have no idea your married right? SO just one day your character shows up with a baby...just what are there reactions?Especially if your the female character because ‘this is my baby’ ‘...YOU WERE NOT PREGNANT YESTERDAY!’
Come to think of it like the other romantic interests don’t ever know you get married right...so does that mean there could be moments like they confess and your character is just like
‘oh i’m married’
‘....what?’

Random 3am thought/headcanon
Someone's probably already said this BUT.
Inari from trio of towns is nonbinary
My reasoning? They can be romanced by a male or female character. They're the opposite gender to the character you play as. So what if they're nonbinary? Idk it just makes sense to me that Inari would be nonbinary, and since they're not human it would make sense that they maybe don't follow the same spectrum of male/female as other characters would
