Percy sighed, half reading the document in front of him, but not really taking any of it it. It wasn’t anything important, still something that he needed to read for work, though likely he would sign it anyway. It wouldn’t have even got this far if he didn’t know about it before. Even if he pretended otherwise. But accidents always happened, and he managed to knock his coffee over and onto the documents, himself, and seemingly close to the person nearby. “Goodness, my apologies. I didn’t get you did I?”

Annabeth didn’t do relationships. Feelings and emotions were hard for her. Hookups on the other hand? Well, those fun, easy and from the moment she’d met Lydia, Annabeth knew she’d met her match. As the blonde’s fingers carefully ran up the goth girl’s neck, pulling her closer, Annabeth breathed in sharply through her nose as to not break their connection. She put up a hand against the wall to steady the pair as their kiss grew more and more heated, her other hand gripping Lydia’s waist firmly. “You okay?” Annabeth gasped after a while, breaking their kiss just long enough for her to answer the question.

             “MAAAARK!”  MINA squealed, opening the door of her apartment to reveal one of her favorite people’s faces. “thank god you’re here.” she gushed, hurrying him inside. “i think i made too much...” an embarrassed look on her face as she pointed to the kitchen. mina had a bad habit of cooking too much food, especially since it had just been here at her place recently. “after dinner, please take some home. i know you and your roommate don’t eat that much...” she poked at her friend’s ribs teasingly. “at least not homecooked. you’d have some more chub. oh, and uh...i’m sorry about what happened at the party. that’s twice now.” mina rubbed the back of her neck, grabbing a couple plates for them. “so an apology dinner!” hand waving at the quite admittedly nice spread in front of them.  @indaylghts​

Johnny fiddled with the keys in his hands, staring at the apartment doors with confusion and amazement. They all looked the same and for some reason he couldn’t remember which number was his, but he did know that there were a few neighbors who might be able to help. Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned around, smiling wide. “Hey! You wouldn’t happen to know where Roger lives, would you?”

“Cathy, dear...all I’m saying is that we can love men individually, but can we agree that as a group they’re all quite stupid?” Lily sighed, leaning back in the small cafe chair. Ever since meeting the young actress, they’d enjoyed getting together and airing out their previous marriages. It wasn’t exactly healthy, sure...but it was cathartic. Lily was lucky, she hadn’t been through half the things Cathy’d had to go through. At least Sasha had always been kind to her...there had just been no real love, not the kind you wanted in a marriage.

The host had only been trying to find a pen they’d dropped, and now they’d be nursing a sore skull the rest of the day, “You don’t realize the force with which you stand up until you bang your skull against something,” Olive shook their head and mumbled, hoping their friend had some kind of pain killer with them.

to be honest, she hadn’t spoken to mark in...well over two, maybe three weeks. avoiding him had become almost a part of routine, which was hard considering they lived in the same building, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t miss him because....god did she miss mark. she missed that stupid little smile he got when he started going on and on about one of his favorite independant films, she missed the way he was practically blind without his glasses, and the missing him only seemingly got worse whenever she started drinking. tonight’s poision of choice was red wine, which honestly was one of the worst, because it made her impulsive and warm all over. wine night was a girl’s night, and her girl’s night included some other goodies in the form of powders as of late, so as her body buzzed and she juggled her phone in her hands before muttering, “you know what, fuck it.” under her breath and slipped out from her friends, pressing her phone to her ear as she typed in his number (which she obviously knew by heart now). 

hearing his voice pick up on the other end, she hesitated for a moment before he said in a joking tone ‘you have my undivided attention’. shaking her head, she let out a small breath, “i’m a fucking idiot, mark.” maureen finally huffed out, leaning back against the wall behind her, “but you know i love you, right? like, jesus fuck, i love you so much. even though i shouldn’t, i feel like i always will you know? and i’m not just saying that because i’m like...completely out of my mind, like...i really, really love you. and that’s why i need to stay as far as fuck away from you as possible. i just...i hope you’re doing okay. and that you’re remembering to eat full meals, because i know you don’t sometimes and-” pressing her palm to her forehead, she groaned, “this was stupid, bye.” she said quickly, ending the call before it was too late and she rambled into next year, even going a step further and shutting off her phone as she shook off the icky feeling in her chest, she figured that she should just go home. maureen knew her limits, for the most part, and so she began her walk into the night as she closed her eyes and let herself go numb.

“Is it weird I even want to go to the zoo on my days off?” Cady asked as she lead her companion up the pathway that housed Chester the Andean Bear. “I think watching the animals move around and interact helps me clear my head, you know? Like-” She bit down on her tongue, trying to explain her strange thought process. “How many problems do you think that guy has?” She asked, pointing to a slumbering bear with thick black fur, except for a patch of brown on his face. “Ugh, Chester is definitely living his best life. I don’t think the big guy has a care in the world.”
