I’m not even preparing for USMLE but First Aid for Step 1 when paired with pre-made flashcards on the USMLE-RX app is such a great revision tool for Pre and Para-clinical subjects for even Post Graduate medical entrance exams in India! I think I owe my degree to SketchyMicro/Pharm, Pathoma, Osmosis and FA haha.

Ten Tips to Crack AIIMS INICET
Tumblr media
An INI CET 2023 candidate must constantly take the right approach and make thoughtful plans. This site will help you achieve success in your objective. The Institution of National Importance Combined Entrance Exam (INICET) exam is held twice a year for candidates interested in enrolling in PG Programmes. Digital centers will use computers to administer the INICET Exam 2023. 200 objective questions will be on the test paper. 180 minutes, or three hours, will be given to candidates to complete the essay.
One can succeed in the next tests by following the detailed list of ten mantras for studying for the AIIMS INICET 2023.
Candidates should always be aware of the most recent exam details, patterns, recommended reading lists, and advice. Only after that may they adjust their study schedule. Their preparation will be finished and all sections will be thoroughly revised before the exam date if they plan it out and adhere to it religiously.
The AIIMS releases the most recent INICET Exam 2023 news, and candidates are recommended to stay informed. It's crucial that you construct your study schedule accordingly. There is always a potential that the tests could be advanced or postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
Always go over the complete exam syllabus. You must diligently and strictly adhere to the study plan in order to accomplish that effectively. Keep in mind that there are no short cuts to success. Time wastage needs to be completely eliminated. If you require further clarity, you can speak with your professors, your fellow students, or even use the DAMS eMedicoz packages, which cover all exam sections.
It is imperative that you brush up on your fundamentals prior to the tests because the syllabus includes material from the MBBS course. You can only increase your knowledge if the basis is solid.
Make sure you are an expert on the subject. Therefore begin your preparation in accordance with the programmer, and make an effort to review and remember the principles. Always dispel any uncertainty. Never act on incomplete information. Change the timeframes if you think a concept needs more time.
Make sure you have additional time for difficult subjects and take notes so you can refer to them later. When it comes time for review, these notes will aid with your memory of the key points. Never skip a topic since you never know when a question from the section will come up.
Spend more time on a subject or chapter if you are unsure about it and seek clarification. It is common knowledge that students lose confidence when a difficult section is there. Pay closer attention to such subjects and advocate challenging yourself more.
It is usually a good idea to take INICET Online Practice Exams because they give the candidate the necessary exam preparation. The majority of the times, the question papers are created using the question papers from the preceding year. So, it is advantageous for candidates to practice using the accessible practice tests.
Concentrate more on the clinical component; the clinical skill set includes obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, conducting clinical investigations, using diagnostic reasoning, adhering to exact procedures, communicating well, working as a team, and being professional. It might also be covered in the test. Show up for the exam with a fresh perspective. Avoid making careless errors.
The entire exam syllabus is covered by the DAMS eMedicoz products. The purpose of the question banks and practise exams is to give candidates for the INICET Exam 2023 the best possible advantage. Videos for lectures provide immediate clarity. The DAMS Revision series is a clear, succinct, and innovative solution to make revision easier and more seamless.
You can prepare effectively for the tests using the advice in this article in a disciplined, methodical manner. You can see the outcomes if you follow them and put in the work. Many people dream of entering famous universities, and you are almost there.

Medical study tips I've learnt of late:
You NEED sleep
- we keep studying and talking about the importance of sleep, but students are usually one of the most exhausted and sleep deprived ones of the lot. All that studying won't really be applicable if your mind isn't at peace.
Your mind needs to be at peace
- being said that studying for long hours might possibly be non-applicable (or not applicable enough) if your mind is at unrest, you really need to take care of your head and keep track of your thoughts. You could exercise or meditate or blurt out all your thoughts on paper like I do when overthinking.
Take. Short. Breaks. (+ off-screen time)
- use an app like Forest, or a simple pomodoro technique. But study in chunks. Don't think that studying continuously for 4h without getting up would help, don't think that a short reset between sub-topics would break your flow. You need to reset and re-energise, even if you go get a cup of tea or use the loo. You need to look away from your laptop or iPad or phone, your eyes deserve that break. Grab a snack after finishing a topic or go take a shower after 3-4 pomodoro sessions. You can even watch Netflix for 30m after 4-5 pomodoro sessions! Studying is a consistent marathon, not restrictive punishment.
Revise every day, then revise frequently
- all I mean by this is REINFORCE anything you've studied in the past 24h, that's the best retention technique. If you're a morning person, make your first study session of the day a revision or review of anything you've studied the previous day, or if you like you wrap things up before going to sleep, just take out an hour or half and skim through everything you've learnt that day. Reviewing the same day takes the least effort and has the highest retention value.
Make anki flashcards or download the ones off the internet
-SPACED REPETITION. Revising the same day is high-value, but to be imbibing what you've learnt of late, you need to keep revising it. The first time after 2 days, then after a gap of 3 days, then after a gap of 5 days, then a week, then 2 and that information becomes part of you. Once you reach the monthly level of revision, it will start reflecting in your ranks.
You need personal cheat-sheets
-for efficient revisions, you require notes, preferably your own notes. And with each successive revision, try to cut down on some points that start to seem unnecessary and redundant to you by that time. After a point you'd be able to narrow down the high-yield points and subtopics for each topic down to one single page. By the time you take your exam, you'll only have to go through familiar cheat sheets and you'd be done with revision!
Positive affirmations everyday
-not I'm not about to preach meditation. Make a tiny notebook or a note on your most accessible device where you log in each thing you have studied that day. Helps you keep track of your speed, the quality of study and also inspires you to keep doing better to keep the learning trend going high. In my country, solving MCQs for NEET-PG AND INICET is a must, so each day I just write down the topic + number of MCQs I've attempted and reviewed that day. And surely, it does inspire me to do better the next day.
These might not be framed very well but these are a few things I've been following for some time while preparing for my medical postgraduate entrance exams. Doesn't matter, I think these would be helpful for any student.
Hope this helps! :)

Decided to deep clean my room and set aside my exam materials because I wont be needing them in the near future. Also found my paint palette with acrylics adherent to them for over 6 months, I have soaked them in water. Any ideas to peel them off faster?

75 soft: day 11
[x] morning walk/run or yoga x6/w
full body moving meditation - which is basically a slower flow yoga with more than usual focus and sync with the breath. it was very satisfying and a much needed to stretch! especially in my glutes and hammies which have been achy for the past 3 days.
[x] meditate x at least 15min every afternoon
[x] study 42h/w: 34h 30m to go 33h to go
my tummy did a flip when I looked at the 29 days of Feb and realised all I've done is half of Biochem and a very very drawn out GT review. and another flip when I counted down 2 months to INICET. i'm miserable, afraid and so on edge. I "dealt with" these feelings by getting a bunch of chores done that just make home feel more settled - hoping that would make my insides feel settled. here I am, in the afternoon now, ploughing through a session, lowkey hating myself and the world. why-can't-i-be-better is ambient noise in my head, like crickets in the night lol. I live with it. i'm so disappointed in myself all the time.
i studied 90m today <slow claps> koka def knew I wasn't too into it.
Tumblr media
I think I'm going to make finishing biochemistry a priority this weekend. skipping on the morning yoga/walks will help.
[x] evening wxo x6/w
24m tabata
[x] [x] [x] 1 raw veggie or a fruit x3 meals
- breakfast smoothie for the day: strawberry+banana+coconut. this might just have been the last of my fresh strawberries. the heat's picking up and so are strawb prices. i do have frozen ones but they're nowhere close, yk T-T
Tumblr media
- cuke-tomato-crab stick salad w raisins and peanuts. and some green grapes ofc
Tumblr media
- peanut butter & banana on rice cakes for pre-wxo snackkk
[x] 1400cal x6/week
[x] progress picture/day x6/w
[x] 2.5 summer calls for 3L of water/day
[x] brush before bed
[x] no media consumption (one movie/d allowed) - for freezes and PMS days
in other news,
feeling very disillusioned with "friends" ☆ maybe they're not to blame, maybe this is a sign for me to step back and think about what a "friend" means to me. what are the expectations I attach to this label? what do I offer to people with this label? who qualifies as one?
also my hatred for social media seems to be peaking today. (hi I'm a blr with 0 followers and I am v delighted about this. this blr is more of a personal journal, tbh. i give 0 shits about it's traction/visibility - just to make it clear)
also have a headache, which I think is from the heat.
