SEASON 2 SPOILERS

Why is literally no one talking about how eager Gabriel was to go to Hell when rejecting armageddon 2? His ass SUGGESTED it. That was all they needed. They were able to be together because they were selfless when it came to eachother; both not caring about status or Heaven and Hell when it came to love. They literally gave up being some of the most powerful beings in their fields.

Aziraphale and Crowley are both being selfish. Not once did they ask what the other wanted. It lead to a kiss out of desperation and a waste of their first one, both together and just generally. Aziraphale was angry and upset that the first kiss he got after six millenia was forced on him. It was a last ditch effort to keep him. "Just one fabulous kiss" and Crowley was convinced he'd make everything better.

On the other hand, Aziraphale is implying that the only way Crowley is worthy of love is if he fits a mold; it isn't enough being "us" for Aziraphale if Crowley isn't who he used to be. Even if, in Aziraphale's mind, he's trying to help Crowley become his "true self", original self, again, Crowley can't help but feel he isn't enough as he is, and has been for over six thousand years. while Crowley sees Heaven for what it is, an entirely broken system which has no separate goal from Hell, Aziraphale is still not over his deep rooted religious trauma, something they both share but have handled very differently; Aziraphale leans into faith and believes Heaven is good while Crowley has left everything behind and is, arguably, healing from it.

Good Old Fashioned Loverboy needs to be reused in the next season so we can properly appreciate it and not have it drowned out by SOUL DESTROYER THAT WAS EPISODE 6

SPOILERS FOR END OF GO SEASON 2!!!

Whether or not Metatron miracled the coffee, he is still the biggest one to blame for Inneffable Divorce. He was absolutely manipulating the whole situation — trying to get Aziraphale to suggest himself for Gabriel’s role, not giving him enough time to really consider the proposal, standing in the elevator waiting for Aziraphale to make him feel like he has to make a choice now, no time to say goodbye to Crowley. I mean, he was waiting in line to get a coffee before Aziraphale even did his whole “quiet down so that we can figure out what to do about Gabriel/Beelzebub” thing — he was absolutely planning this ahead of time.

And compare the dismissive, bureaucratic Metatron of s1 to this seemingly friendly version we get in s2? Sure, a lot of characters got personality shifts this season, but that’s a heel-face turn! No way it’s honest!

METATRON WAS WEARING BLACK, FOR ADAM’S SAKE!!!

In short, yes, Aziraphale was a bad partner letting an angel-supremacist upbringing shatter their relationship with Crowley, but Azi should not be the subject of your ire. The blame rests squarely on Metatron’s shoulders.

Months ago I started doing a Crowley in modeling clay, but of course I couldn’t make only one part of this awesome duet ! Today, I finally finished Aziraphale and I’m pretty proud of them both ♥.
