Making a Bento for the Kamaboko Squad!:

Tanjirou Kamado:

Ok, first off! Tanjirou would literally eat anything and everything you made him - seriously, head AND stomach of steel

Obviously if you took the time to make it all pretty and presentable he would look it in awe and eat it slowly to properly savoir the presentation and flavoring

Loves it when you pack him all the home cooked meals

He's happy with food that were left over from breakfast or dinner from yesterday - so long as its something you've made

Enjoys your Miso Yaki Onigiri with Honey Soy Chicken with a side of cherry tomatoes + sauteed cabbage

Anything yummy makes him happy - well... anything that you've put time and effort in is always gonna make him happy

Wouldn't say he has a big sweet tooth but he really can't turn down your desserts - especially if freshly made!

Particularly loves your Matcha Marble Pound Cake

If you ask him, Tanjirou will help you make your's and his bento's

Nezuko Kamado:

Nezuko loves your bento's

She loves the bright colours of the food that you use - it always makes her happy to see that you've added something into the rice to make it slightly pink

Nezuko also has a soft spot for sweet things so when you add extra Tamagoyaki (sweetened omelette) from breakfast to her bento it adds a little pep in her step

She really loves forward to the bento's you make during cherry blossom season cause everything is cherry blossomed themed - lots of cherry blossom themed desserts too! e.g. Cherry Blossom milk pudding

Oh! Enjoys abit of Sweet and Sour in her bento - specifically when you use the lefter overs from your sweet and sour chicken + vegetables with steamed rice

Sweet and Sour Chicken with Japanese Potato Salad and steamed rice with sesame seeds and umeboshi (pickled plum) + cherry tomatoes

Will absolutely help you make the bento's

Inosuke Hashibira:

He's still getting used to receiving a packed bento - Inosuke was really confused when you first gave him one

Doesn't see the point of all the pretty food shapes and colours to begin with but he does secretly enjoy it when you shape and do all that stuff with his food - it just helps prove that you love him cause your making him food and making it into things he likes

Cackles when he opens his bento up and there's onigiri shaped like boars + pigs

Will eat anything that's smothered in teriyaki sauce or tempure-d

Absolutely adores sweet potato pie and will eat an entire one to himself.... - its safe to say that you put at least a couple of slices in his bento when you make a pie to hold him off

To give him his vitamins in the form of fruits, other than berries, you usually pack him a Fruit Sandwich/Fruit Sando - a taste sweet dessert in sandwich form that consists of sweet milk bread, fresh whipped cream with strawberries, kiwi and orange - which you usually have to give him extra as he scoffs down the first one

don't ask him to help make the bento's.....he'll eat everything as your preparing them...

Zenitsu Agatsuma:

Absolutely sobs when you give him a bento.... actually that happens every single time you make him a bento

Enjoys literally all of your food

Will absolutely sob while eating it...

Really enjoy when you use ginger and honey in the foods

Has a softspot for your Ginger Pork Onigirazu

Although he really loves when you pack Nikujaga (Meat and Potato Stew) with Shirataki Noodles with a side of Miso eggplant in his bento

Loves all the desserts/sweet things that you pack him

Doesn't matter what type of dessert - cake,mochi, crepe, etc. - its going into his stomach

although if he had to pick a favourite, it would have to be your Warabi Mochi

You can ask him to help prepare the bento's but he will add more stuff than needed or add the wrong decorations and/or seasonings

(Little story :)

As you walked down the hallway to your room, after a long mission you just wanted to rest. You watched as the night sky became a little bit darker.

As you finally made it to your room, you noticed the door was cracked. As you peeked inside, just to make sure there wasn't a demon inside, you just seen your boyfriend and his sister asleep on your bed.

'Awww, how cute' you thought to yourself as you walked in. As you walked in you seen tanjiro move in his sleep.

'I need to be more quite' you thought.

As you noticed that nezuko was awake, she just sat up.

"Mhm!" She said muffled.

"Shh, your brother is sle-" you said intrupted

"Sorry, I kinda tried to wait up for you." He said yawning.

"It's fine, let's get to bed." You said crawling into bed and into your lovers arms.

As you were walking back to the butterfly estate, going to checked up on because your scratches from your past mission were bleeding again.

But as you were walking you seen your dear boyfriend, zenitsu. He was crying about another mission.

As you walked up closer to them, because he was with tanjiro and inosuke. He was crying and complaining about this "super hard" mission.

He just needed to go get some medical supplies from the village. And he didn't wanna do it alone. Because apparently there was a demon there.

"Hey guys." You said waving your good arm at them as the other one was bleeding.

"Hey, y/n" tanjiro said waving at you.

"Hey, *mispronounced version of your name*" Inosuke said.

"Hey, baby" your boyfriend said looking really sad.

"Hey, what happened to your arm?" Tanjiro asked.

"My stitches came out, I'm going to see shinobu about it." You said.

"Oh, see I cant do the mission." Zenitsu said

"Yes, you can" you said walking off.)

As he was complaining, you finished packing, because all you needed was some clothes, pajamas, and medicine for the headache you have had for the past few weeks.

You were hoping zenitsu wouldn't be super cowardly. But you knew him and he would run at the sight of a demon.

"What if he leaves you?!" Your boyfriend yelled.

"Then you can fight him" you said.

"I'll fight him either way." He said holding you.

"I'll be safe, I promise" you said kissing him.

"Fine" he huffed

Then he watched you leave for your mission.

"Zenitsu was acting out about a mission." You explained.

"About what?" He asked.

"The mission was a demon in the village down North, and he was trying to protect me even though I'm a harisha, which was annoying." You explained some more.

"Okay, I'll talk to him, love you babe." He said hugging you

"Bye, love" you said hugging him back.

"Hey, babe!" He yelled.

"W-who are they..?" You asked

"Our new wives!" He yelled smiling forgetting about the talk.

"O-oh." You said sounding disappointed in him, it wasn't their fault because they didn't know how this worked. But it hurt.

"See ya." You said leaving.

"Is she okay?" One of the ladies said

"Yeah, is she Lord tengen?" A different one said.

"She is fine" he said smiling it off.

Carrying You After Battle — Kamaboko Trio

You got injured during a mission and couldn't really move. You could wait for the Kakushi brigade to help you out, or you could send your Kasugai crow to ask for an aid. Your partner doesn't think it's a good idea. The best thing to do is to carry you as fast as they could to the nearest Wisteria House.

Tanjiro - Pack-strap Carry (Image)

You tried to regulate your breath as you chased the demon. It was running away from you and Tanjiro. At that point, you were sure the demon realized how it was no match for the both of you. You were a few inches away from slashing the demon's head when you lost your footing and fell on your knees. A part of your pants near your right knee was torn by a protruding tree root on the ground..

You weren't sure if it was just your imagination, but you swore you could hear your bone cracked. You let out a scream as you lay face down on the forest ground.

"Stay still, (Y/N)!" Tanjiro yelled as he continued chasing down the demon.

You bit your fist, trying to hold back your tears. It was so painful to the point where it made you feel dizzy.

Tanjiro came back only a few moments later, panting. It seemed that he succeeded in slaying the demon.

"Oh dear, (Y/N)!" Tanjiro kneeled next to you. "(Y/N), what... do you think you can stand up?"

"N-no." You choked up, finally letting yourself go. Guess it was the Tanjiro Effect. His presence let you loosen up your tough façade. Tanjiro was one of the few people who had seen you cry.

"Alright, alright, it's okay. I'll carry you, okay?" Tanjiro caressed your cheek, wiping off the tears. "I'm sorry, this might hurt a bit."

Tanjiro gently flipped you to your back. You winced in pain as he helped you up, maneuvering until your chest was against his back and he was holding your arms close to his chest.

"I got you, (Y/N). It's okay. We'll meet up with Zenitsu and Inosuke. I've sent Matsuemon to get help. It's okay, I got you."

Tanjiro kept trying to calm you down a little bit as he made his way to the rest of the squad member. He could feel every inch of his body screamed in agony, but he pushed through. There was no way he would let you on your own feet when your leg started to get swollen.

You met up with the rest of the squad. As usual, Zenitsu started to panic and cried seeing your injured leg. Inosuke cursed at you for not being careful enough. Tanjiro shushed them as he carried you, while also leading the squad, out of the forest.

The Kakushi brigade finally came. They examined your leg and thought it might be fractured. A member offered Tanjiro to carry you on their back so he could rest for a little. Tanjiro refused.

"It's fine. The Butterfly Mansion isn't that far, is it?" Tanjiro turned them down with a genuine smile.

All of you made your way back to the mansion.

"You don't have to carry me, you know?" You said, resting your chin on Tanjiro's shoulder.

"I know, but I want to." Tanjiro replied. "It's okay to cry, (Y/N). I know it hurts. You don't have to pretend to be strong all the time. Just wait for a little longer, yeah."

You muttered a protest but couldn't help yourself. You cried. It really hurt like hell.

Zenitsu - Bridal Style (Image)

You heard a familiar voice calling out your name, a few meters away from where you sat. You realized it was Zenitsu. You wanted to call out to him, to tell him that you're nearby. However, you couldn't bring yourself to say anything. Your hand was clutching the right side of your stomach where the demon had attacked you, resulting in a deep wound across your lower abdomen. You could only coughed in pain, yet it was enough for Zenitsu to locate you.

"(Y/N)?" Zenitsu crouched in front of you, panic written all over his face when he saw blood on your uniform. "(Y/N), what happened?"

"I got... slashed..." You panted.

"(Y/N), you're losing a lot of blood."

"I know..." If you were in a better state, those words would come out way more sarcastic. You were quite literally dying, either you and Zenitsu could tell.

"Oh, (Y/N), I'm so sorry!" Zenitsu whined as he easily scooped you up into his arms. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were hurt!"

"...It's fine, Zenitsu..."

"No, it's not fine!"

You could tell by the way his voice trembled, Zenitsu was in the verge of crying. You leaned your head on his chest and looked up. You were right, tears were pooling in his eyes.

"Zenitsu," you reached out to touch his cheek, "It's alright..."

Zenitsu didn't say anything in return. He kept running, trying to bring you to the nearest Wisteria House before it was too late, while starting to sob. You were both sent to finish off a demon that had been haunting a small village. You managed to chase it to the forest nearby, but as you slashed its head off, the demon delivered its final move. It cut your abdomen quite deep.

You couldn't bring yourself to say anything. You just looked up to the sky, watching your crow led the way. Ah... How wonderful the sky was... The sun was about to set, and it turned into a lovely orange color. So bright and warm, like the color of your partner's hair.

Zenitsu cried even harder when you closed your eyes. He knew you weren't dead, but he still felt guilty for not coming with you to the forest faster. If only he was braver...

With lots of effort and tears, you both finally reached the house. As if they could sense your arrival, a young female staff quickly opened the gate and ushered both of you in. Zenitsu let you go, wouldn't budge from where he stood until you were out of his sight.

After being treated by a doctor and cleaned up by the staff, you were put inside a room. It took you a whole day to regain consciousness and the first person you saw was Zenitsu. His face was red and his eyes were puffy. He saw you opened your eyes and immediately cried (again).

"(Y/N)-CHAN! I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONE!"

You winced in pain. "Oh, shush Zenitsu... You know nobody can get rid of me easily..."

You wouldn't tell your other friends, but you let Zenitsu craddle you for a whole day after that.

Inosuke - Firefighter Carry (Image)

Normally, being sent on a mission with Inosuke is not a problem. You both are good fighters and was able to work together to exterminate any demon. However, that one time you both got sent to a mountain. The terrain was really steep. Inosuke might be used to it, but that wasn't the case with you.

You kind of struggled during the fight, but you didn't want to worry Inosuke. You tried your best to hold on for your dear life. It's okay, you reminded yourself over and over again, it won't be long, now.

Even though it was way more difficult than your usual fight, you managed to defeat the demon. It approached you in a fast speed, but the blade of your sword was faster. You took a step back, bearing your whole body weight in one of your legs, and slashed the demon's head off with all the power you had.

As the demon's head rolled to the ground, you let out a scream. You were just so relieved. You couldn't wait to go back and take a shower.

"(Y/N)!" You heard Inosuke called out your name. No, he wasn't laughing maniacally, he wasn't boasting like usual...

Inosuke's call sounded more like a warning.

Before you could asked him what was wrong, you felt the ground underneath your feet crumbled. You couldn't think of anything as you fell. While fighting the demon, you didn't watch where you were going and stood on a hillside. The ground wasn't really solid as it has been raining the day before. As you stepped on it, it broke down and the land slipped.

Thankfully, it wasn't a fatal landslip. You only fell nine feet from where you first stood. Yes, it was bad, but it could be worse. You could only lay down on the ground. It felt like your whole body was smashed and you were dizzy. The last thing you saw before you passed out was Inosuke jumping off to save you.

"Wake up, underling!" Inosuke shook your shoulder. "Oi! (Y/N)!"

It was no use, you fainted. You hit your head pretty hard, resulting in a concussion. Inosuke stayed silent, his eyes widen and mouth agape underneath the boar mask. He couldn't believe it, you—someone whom he considered a strong person—fell down from a landslip.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Inosuke yelled in frustration. "Damn that demon!"

He picked you up rather gently and slung your unconscious body over his shoulder. Inosuke knew it would be awhile until the Kakushi arrived to clean up and help you. So, he took matters into his own hands and started sprinting. He ordered your crow to lead him to the nearest Wisteria Mansion, spitting profanities and curses as he ran.

Once you both arrived, he made sure the people there "fix" you almost immediately. He swatted anyone who was about to clean his own wound, yelling "You mind my underling first!" He hated to admit it, but he was scared you'd die.

You regained consciousness the next morning, just before the break of the dawn. Your body felt like it could break anytime soon, but you forced yourself to sit up from the futon. You didn't notice at first, but Inosuke was lying down, resting his head near where your thighs were. He even took off his boar mask. He wouldn't like anyone to see him like that, so you remained quiet. Though, you couldn't help but touch his hair, thanking him for saving your life.

So! Nezuko wakes up from her coma, a little confused from her just waking(AKA the "I Just Woke Up After A Very Nice Sleep, And My Brain is Still Addled" Brain). So, she's a little confused as to why a chunk of bamboo is stuck in her mouth, and just... rips it off. And then promptly realizes her canines are significantly sharper than they're supposed to be. Noise gets her attention, and she meets the wooden eyes of Urokodaki's tengu mask.

This leads to a lot of questions while they wait for Tanjirou to come back. She definitely wasn't happy when she found out Tanjirou got sent to a mountain packed with feral and starved demons, and demands to know why her kind brother, who would never hurt a fly unless said fly swung first and hurt someone he cared for, is being sent to commit violence. Cue another long explanation about what she missed. After a minute, her brain catches up and, "Oh, yeah! I remember that dickwad! B****** just waltzed like he owned the place, too! Never caught his name, though." After those conversations, she notices Urokodaki praying for her brother's safety, and starts doing the same. She only hopes Hinokami is willing to protect her big brother now as he had when the monster attacked.

While they wait for Tanjirou, Urokodaki does also go about helping her relearn speech. And then she gives him a heart attack by walking outside midday. "How was I supposed to know I should expect a fiery death?!" "All demons instinctively fear the sun!" "Well, then, maybe I was meant to do this the whole damn time!"

Then Tanjirou comes back, and is very happy Nezuko is back to some form of her normal self. And hey, she's okay in sunlight! No need to panic about her becoming a pile of ashes! He still carries her in a box, though, sometimes. But Nezuko likes to be in the sun because it's her way of regaining her energy alongside sleep.

Asakusa rolls around, and Nezuko tries to keep Tanjirou from running off. She knows that look, she knows Tanjirou found him. But despite her protests, he still runs off. Nezuko gives chase, staying close to the shadows and other people, and watches Tanjirou confront the monster that cut down everyone else in their family like it was nothing. The siblings meet Tamayo and Yushiro, and Tamayo asks Nezuko if she's had any human flesh or blood. When Nezuko mentions she can walk in sunlight, Tamayo tells her to keep this new ability a secret unless absolutely necessary, lest Kibutsuji try to capture and devour her.

Zenitsu's portion of things go a little differently. He definitely tries to flirt with Nezuko, and she promptly threatens to use Tanjirou as a battering ram on the blond boy's skull. Nezuko and Tanjirou get separated in the Tsuzumi Mansion, which causes the former to panic because her selfless idiot of a brother has broke bones and is somewhere in this godforsaken death house, And-- CRAP, THERE'S A BOAR TRYING TO CUT HER HEAD OFF!! Yeah, Inosuke just chases Nezuko throughout the mansion until they get outside. Nezuko inevitably ends(or greatly reduces) his bloodline, which is what Zenitsu wakes up to. A guy in a boar head wheezing in pain whilst clutching the Hashibira Family Jewels, and Nezuko glaring at said boar guy with her leg raised suspiciously like she caused the damage.

And Nezuko is definitely calling Rui every insult she knows, including the ones with language she had been heavily scolded for using when her parents were alive. Kie and Tanjurou are gaping at Nezuko's language while desperately trying to cover their dead kids' ears. Yoriichi and Sumiyoshi are helping, and silently wondering how Nezuko picked up such... colourful language(spoilers, it was Saburou... By accident).

And now for the main event, the Hashira trial. Nezuko's just chilling in her box, waiting for Tanjirou to handle things, when some guy with a sword just up and STABS HER before trying to coax her out with blood. When another dude says she won't come out in daylight, she goes "Try me, b****" and pops right out. And then promptly slaps Shinazugawa, hurls at least one insult per Hashira(she isn't quite past Giyuu stabbing her for no clear reason), and picks up Tanjirou like "Don't ever talk to me or my big brother again." while glaring daggers at them. She's standing in the sun, she knows their blades must have lost their effectiveness.

While at the Butterfly Mansion, Nezuko easily bonds with the girls there. She acts so human, they practically forget she's a demon most of the time. She's also present for the talk with Shinobu about Kanae and her dream, and the two later have a girl to girl conversation about what their respective late families would want of them. And after the coin flip scene, Nezuko can't help but giggle. She recognizes a crush a mile away, having been the focus of a few back home(y'know, being the town beauty and all that). When Tanjirou asks her what's so funny, she brushes it off and insists he'll find out another time.

Mugen Train, she gets smuggled onto the train in her box. No ticket, no spell, no problem. Once the conductor leaves, she hops out and immediately goes about observing the situation. She still headbutts Tanjirou in the head, fully anticipating she'll start bleeding and be able to use that. After the train derailment, she is fully ready to fight Akaza, his personal code be damned. "Oh, you don't fight women? All the easier for me to gouge your eyes out, mf!" Akaza has never seen a girl so angry. He had nightmares for weeks, especially because of the blood arson. Does this save Rengoku? I don't know, I'll leave that up to your imagination!

Then Entertainment District comes around. Nezuko still goes Full Form, but manages to reign herself in. Luckily, being photosynthetic makes restraining her hunger much easier! This means she's conscious for the fight with Gyutaro, which makes it go in their favour with a much more instantaneous solution for that poison! Plus, that might reveal the secret of the red blades sooner!

Swordsmith's Village goes about the same. Genya probably gives Nezuko the idea to chow on demons, but I don't know how well that's going. At the end, however, as Hantengu burns in the sun, Nezuko just smirks at him before leaning down and telling Muzan(through Hantengu) that he can suck a dick, and that he'd better start praying because karma is coming for him.

During Hashira training, Nezuko takes up some sword training. Not sure what Breath she uses. Either way, she trains. When the antidote gets manufactured, Nezuko asks if she can wait to take it. Tamayo doesn't think it's a good idea, but Nezuko insists with the promise she'll be careful.

Infinity Castle, most of the fights go pretty much the same. Except the Kokushibou fight. Nezuko get sent there because the one brain cell Muzan's five brains share managed to clink in the right brain to think "Hey, the logical step to capture the super important demon is the throw her at my most powerful subordinate!" Unfortunately, he didn't account for the three Hashira and that demon-eating kid also showing up, or for Kokushibou to want to bond with his descendant. Or Nezuko being a feral gremlin who's 100% down for arson and has the power to commit it as she pleases. She definitely manages to save Genya, I am undecided on Muichirou. But Nezuko saving Genya earns her Sanemi's respect and gratitude.

Sunrise Countdown goes a little easier. No one's actively dying from poison, even if Tanjirou's still half-blind. Nezuko and Tanjirou tag team Muzan, with Nezuko striking from a range while Tanjirou goes for close quarters. As the sun rises, Nezuko jabs herself with the antidote to get her transformation back into a human started before Muzan dies. Muzan, seeing the rising sun and noticing Nezuko injected herself with something, makes one last desperate attempt to devour her, but all the Demon Slayers fight to protect her as Tanjirou pins Muzan to keep him from escaping.

Does Demon King Tanjirou still happen? Debatable. If he does, Muzan used his blood while trying to dislodge Tanjirou's grip, and eventually settled on just transferring all his blood to Tanjirou. But it doesn't last nearly as long as canon because Nezuko will have just taken the antidote. As such, she'll still have access to her Blood Demon Art. The way I see, she notices something off with Tanjirou and charge tackles him before lighting him up with several loud and tearful apologies. Because she knows it's gonna be painful but she has to burn out Kibutsuji's cells before they transform Tanjirou. The fire extinguishes as Nezuko's use of Exploding Blood actually speeds up her transformation since she's using her demonic cells to ignite the fire, but it's enough that it'll at least delay Tanjirou's transformation long enough for someone to restrain him if they need to. Kanao shows up, gives Tanjirou to booster dose to finish off the last cells, and both the siblings collapse from exhaustion. They're both unconscious for at least a couple months.

Afterwards, life goes on as normal. The lives lost are mourned, the Corps disbands(possibly with some more ex-Hashira to celebrate the end of the demons), and everyone lives happily ever after. Nezuko laments losing her demonic strength, but is also happy to be back to normal.

Has half of her head shaven but black medium hair, muscles in her legs and light abs and every where else. Paler skin then nicks but still has a tan, no freckles, brown eyes, but a few scars, one on her arm, above her eye, one on her waist. Personality: Likes to shows she’s the boss, has a soft spot for people smaller then her, teasing, jokes, sighs to show she’s the alpha of the group. Treats her pack and friends well, will become a body guard for anyone in help.

In this world my nagas will live up too 200 years older if they found a mate by then. Most naga’s die when their young are 50 or older. If a Naha hasn’t found a mate it will die quicker then the others. Longest naga to live was 220 years old. (All of this is just for my world this is not a fact. So not come after me, just doing this for fun)

Zauhra/Zara Cushissus: 100 years old, male, lives alone in a cave with his treasures near a water fall where the humans come around to get water. 9 feet tall, his tail is 5 feet and has blue and white scales. White pale skin with gold markings on his skin, white short/medium hair and green eyes, wears a lot of gold jewelry. Personality: Goofy, happy and very curious, very possessive to his mate but also very loving. A sweetheart but don’t mess with him.

So I started Inosuke since I got a demon slayer pattern pack XD Doing his little fur skirt was a lot easier than I thought it was gonna be! Also, not sure I like the yarn I used for his skin...but I'm working with what I have and I wanted him to be a different tone than Zenitsu.

Catching Fireflies

Inosuke Hashibira x reader

~While on a camping trip, Inosuke sees something peculiar.

(Sorry I have never written for Inosuke before. So it was kinda hard to outline this one)

This little drabble is a part of my “I Want to Getaway Event” Check it out if you want to!

While the hike up through the trail to your campsite was difficult for you, Inosuke practically ran the entire way up. Even while carrying all of your camping supplies he showed no sign of slowing down. It definitely inspired you to keep pushing yourself, but in the back of your mind you thought it is a little unfair for someone with such a pretty face to also be in possession of his inhuman athletic ability.

Your jacked Pack mule of a boyfriend and you make it to your campsite in record time, The view overlooking miles and miles of forest with no view of civilization in sight. You'd feel a bit nervous about the isolation if you didn't have him with you to keep you safe from any animals or anything else that are hiding in the woods.

"This is gonna be so fun y/n," he says enthusiastically Adding the finishing touches to your campsite. “ When the sun goes down we can see all the stars up here, it’s one of my special spots.”

“I can't wait to see it,” you smile, letting the fresh mountain air replenish your lungs after that hike, the sun looks as if it's beginning to set in the distance. A loud rumbling sound is heard behind you, at first you think it's a bear but as you turn around you see that it came from your boyfriend's stomach. “Are you getting hungry Inoskue?” you ask with a giggle “I can make you something.”

His green eyes light up at the prospect of a meal as he nods eagerly. “Yes, I’m starving y/n. Did you see how many things I carried up the mountain?”

“I did, and I’m very proud of you,” you praise, noting the way your words make him beam. “I’ll get started and make us some dinner.” You make your way to your food supplies and camping equipment and get to work doing what you consider heavy lifting. 

With Inosuke’s appetite you know that the hike down hill will be much lighter once he eats all the extra food you packed him.

Once your meal is over and the supplies has been put away Inosuke places his hand on his stomach and looks at you gratefully.

“That was great y/n.” he says, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and staring at you from the other side of the roaring campfire. Suddenly his eyes fixate on something behind you.

“Look, the stars are moving.” he says pointing off into the distance before rushing past you.

"Inosuke!" you call after him. "A shooting star?" you ask aloud but Inosuke is already gone rushing through the long grass towards a cluster of lights. Immediately you can tell what they are, fireflies.

You grab two glass jars and make your way towards your boyfriend who is currently flailing his arms among the little bugs.

"Gently you place your hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "look, they're not stars. Just Fireflies."

A look of alarm takes over his features "The flies are on fire!"

“No, of course not silly, they are just bugs that glow." you say handing him a jar. "Let me show you.” Gently removing the mesh cover of your jar you patiently track the movement of the fireflies across the field towards you campfire. 

Your movements are small but its enough to coax a few bugs into the glass before securing the breathable cover bacon to the jar. With a smile you glance your eyes back to Inosuke who is awestruck by the contained insects.

“I wanna try,” he says, copying your movements way faster than you ever could. Within seconds he has more bugs in his jar than you do. It's crazy how gentle and meticulous he is as he collects more and more fireflies in his jar. His movements never seem to harm the fireflies, they seem almost drawn to him.

"Wow Inosuke, you're really good at this," you say in a whisper as your eyes take in his pretty face illuminated by the dozens of bugs in front of his face.

He bares his teeth in a toothy grin but you have a feeling he isn't satisfied “Just you wait y/n, I’m gonna catch every Firebug on the mountain for you” he says proudly puffing up his chest and running through the grass once again providing you with more than enough entertainment for the night.
