I think we're approaching this... "Chapter" of the Showgrounds Saga from the wrong direction
Theory Time!!
(It's a bit of a long one, so take your time)
Ok, so we've all been thinking - most of us at least - that this would be SMG3's Focus Arc and his turn to get character development and/or Trauma via a big movie event, but it's not what we expected. When I asked myself why, I came to some questions and theories
So, we've seen the pattern so far, SMG4's Perfection, Meggy's Idolization, and then WotFI happened, which I think was SMG3's Chapter.
I think what happened was that WotFI was his main event. Instead of building up to the tension, they swapped it and had the big event first with the development after, henceforth all of the focus episodes after WotFI regarding his shop, his selfworth and his place with the Crew.
So, "If SMG3 already had his fair share of Puzzle/Adware interference, then who's the focus for this chapter?" You may be asking, and I have the theory:
It's actually Us the Audience
Think about it! There's always some kind of connection between each Movie/Chapter moving towards the next one! In IGBP, while rescuing SMG4, how did Meggy fight off SMG3? Her splatfest skills (Former Splatfest Champion Wren)!! In Western Spaghetti, what did SMG3 have that added to his character from that point onwards? His bombs (Coffe n' Bombs Cafe)!!
So now, what's one connection with WotFI and this one? We the *Audience* are allowed to add our input based on the situation! (The Heist Plan Votes and the Video Reviews!!)
Not only that, BUT when WotFI finished and we got that post credit scene, Mr. Puzzles didn't address just anyone. No, he wasn't talking to SMG4, he wasn't talking to Luke, Marty, or SMG3; he was talking DIRECTLY to us the *Audience* at the 4th wall!
Adware KNOWS that we're finally picking up the hints and pieces!! He finally acknowledged that we're ready for our turn!!
When the first movie came out and he appeared as that keyboard malware virus (when we dubbed him Adware), we didn't think much of it. We thought it was a one-off, a fluke, something to further the story via typical SMG4 Weirdness.
It wasn't until the Western Spaghetti movie hype was building up that everyone realized that there's a pattern happening. That was when fans started pointing out, "Hey! There's something Fishy going on (Ha), and here's the hidden clues to prove it!!". We became suspicious of that damn symbol, and became more vigilant... and then WotFI happened!!
(Addition: I feel like Adware was beginning to test how ready we were when we got that one Steam Link with Tari in an empty room and the TV at the front of the train. Yeah, it was to hype up the movie, but it was also almost like a... puzzle, you could say)
Which could explain why this time it isn't a movie event that lasts for one week, but instead nearly over an entire month! I theorize that Winston wants to test us for some reason, and for that, he needs to collect information. Information like maybe a certain interactive website with reviews. You can't get the audience involved with just a single movie, just saying. Plus, the fact that he said endless entertainment all Saturdays forever? Who's the most involved in that specific detail, hmm?
Also! The theme! Granted, I don't have much proof for this one, but the theme I've noticed is Nostalgia. Blue's Clues isn't something very important to any of the characters that got kidnapped (minus 4 hating content farms) but it can be something that a lot of us have a fond attachment to! Which Adware could use to his Advantage! What better way to get good reviews than to target what the audiences like?
(4th wall sidenote, after that TV song jingle, Winston glances over to the screen directly at Us)
Also, notice how weird it is that the Crew Members that got kidnapped are popular among the fandom? You know, characters that we've gotten attached to? (Don't tell me Bob doesn't have a fanbase of his own). Every time a "Victim" is targeted, their close friends end up getting dragged into the mess.
SMG4 (3, Megs and Mar)
Meggy (Tari, Mario, Axol, DESTI)
SMG3 (Eggdog got a Cameo, 4, Bob??)
Us (Our favorite characters)
....
So, all of this to say, we need to stay on our toes, especially for this chapter. Be wary and all of that. I may be overthrowing it, but hey, theorizing is fun!! What do you guys think?

Alright, got some thoughts to exorcise about Khoa's most recent appearance. Inevitably there'll be spoilers about Batman Inc., current events in the main Batman run, and some speculation regarding Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing, so I'm putting everything under the cut.
In Batman Inc. (2022) #5, we get Ghostmaker choosing not to kill Phantom-One after defeating him, and saying this:
Tumblr media
Batman Inc. (2022) #5
And at the end, he also says "Batman was right... some people deserve second chances."
This is particularly interesting because Bruce's initial deal with Khoa, in Batman (2016) #105, is "My only rule is that you don't kill in my city." And then, after Khoa was given control of Batman Incorporated and he started training Clownhunter, we get this bit:
Tumblr media
Shadow War Zone #1
"That's Batman's rule for you. I can get away with it."
So. I can't help wondering what exactly was going on in Khoa's head in Batman Inc. (2022) #5, keeping this in mind. Because... who the hell would've been dumb enough to kill Phantom-One in that situation, promises to a friend or not?
Killing Phantom-One would've very likely turned at least half of the people there against him, some of them willing to jump on any excuse to attack-- while he was already injured. Not only that, it might've severed his connections to Batman Incorporated, which Bruce left to him to deal with. Hence, I think it's tough to say how truthful Khoa was in his words. He didn't seem to take issue with killing before, seemingly quite sure he'd get away with it. One could argue this is the culmination of the arc, all the doubts about Ghostmaker as a person and a leader being resolved, but it might've been more impactful if Khoa didn't know the rest of Batman Inc. was there, or the Fallen, Oryx, and all the others who'd been so impacted by Ghostmaker's past actions. If it'd been just him, Phantom-One and Clownhunter, with the others able to witness somehow, his choice not to kill Phantom-One would've been more solid as legitimate character development, and not a decision that can be interpreted as self-serving.
However, I'm not counting it as a criticism to Brisson's writing, since the previews of Batman Inc. (2022) #6 and #7 are intriguing, and only seem to amp up the difficulty of Khoa's decision to keep to his promise and not kill... especially since Bruce is "dead". As groundwork, No More Teachers serves nicely for a more extended character development arc, so I'm hoping it'll hit a more satisfying conclusion after #7, because the preview is very intriguing:
Tumblr media
What the hell does "road to Joker Inc." mean? Seeing as we've got multiple Jokers going around in Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing, maybe the reveal will be that Joker is imitating Bruce and has chosen to create a Joker for each city there's a Batman in Batman Inc. for; would kind of explain why one Joker left Gotham and went to L.A. That still leaves me wondering where the hell the real Joker is and what he's doing (maybe my joking theory that he's in a cloning tank somewhere hallucinating all the weird mpreg side-stories isn't that far off). I can only hope that while Bruce is still gone, Khoa (and Bao in whatever capacity) get the chance to kill Joker, since that... would be an excellent culmination to so many elements of their story so far. And then have to make a choice, since they'd both know Bruce's no-killing rule has always extended to Joker too. Though since multiple Jokers are around and taking into account the mention of Joker Inc., I'm booing so hard if either Bao or Khoa kill a fake Joker. Make it the real thing or nothing! We got Jason killing a fake Joker in The Three Jokers, it's been done.

I need to know if this is something: from my experience of some folks I know who went straight to the canyon after watching s1, it's given me the idea that I think that for some people who've been in fandoms a long time are so used to having to dig for subtext and craft their own queer narratives out of crumbs from shows with little to no rep and zero chances of queer ships ever becoming canon, when presented with a piece of media where the queer rep is extremely positive to the extent that it's one of the main focus points of the show, they don't know how to engage. When you're so used to having to look for secret clues under the floorboards, maybe some people have trouble knowing how to adjust when the subtext is actually supertext now, so they found a character to latch onto that lets them hold onto familiar fandom behaviour more.
Like, what do you mean we don't have to search for secret reasons this guy's queer-coded? What do you mean the gays are RIGHT THERE? Maybe that's how you get takes like saying that Ed and Stede are straight-coded actually and Izzy's the only true gay guy on the show because *insert that meme of Charlie It's-Always-Sunny with his conspiracy board*
I mean all that plus the obvious latent racism inherent in desperately needing to see Ed as irredeemable and cruel to poor lil Izzy who definitely isn't an obvious embodiment of how toxic masculinity culture (which conveniently comes bundled with white supremacy lbr) is an impediment to being able to live and love as your authentic self, which ties back to my first point inasmuch as the number of major slash fandoms we've seen that will go to lengths to prioritise the white guys even when it makes no sense. All this is nothing new in fandom, it just gets placed extra weirdly in a show where the queerness is RIGHT THERE and one of the explicitly queer leads isn't white.
#398.

(1/2) Since we're on a topic of how strangely framed the Eggon x his family dynamics are, how about we think about egg putting on his maniacal best boy smile on, cradling his brother's face in his hands and telling him he'll find a boat, leave behind his family and dragon (his baby sun???) and disappear forever. Eggon offers to leave by chanelling Laenor and his gay lover
(2/2) while the two brothers stare at each other's lips with their faces half a quarter of a centimeter of an inch from each other. The scene takes place in the same ep that eggmond talks about the traumatic brothel experience his brother caused. If I found the show to be written better than I currently do I would be convinced all these things were intentionally linked (insert Charlie Day in front of his conspiracy board meme here) and not just Things Characters Do and Say This Episodej
Where do you think people got the idea for aegond in the first place? 😅 I fully accept that we may be reading too much into this and maybe the camera is positioned that way because of the height difference, but that's not going to stop us.

“Be good, be safe, be kind” from Chords has similar energy to Jaskier’s “Goodbye, good luck, good riddance” and I don’t know what to do with that

(Pls forgive me if you already received this ask and I’m just being an impatient, excited conspiracy theorist xD but I know sometimes asks get lost and I saw you answered another Blood Lolly-related question) [insert Charlie Day conspiracy theory board meme] A reblog of fangs tagged “imminently relevant”? Almost exactly the 1 year anniversary of Guidelines for the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part-Humans?? Careful, people might think you’re….UP to something
lol busted: a year later and I've still got blood lollies on the brain.

OK so I have read each chapter as thoroughly as possible, multiple times, trying to figure out what jimin is hiding!! The only thing I can come up with is maybe he has enhanced strength in human form? Like he hulk smashed that giant oak table and threw that dart from the balcony to the cottage where the Luna was being kept. Or... Maybe he can read minds? Idk what's he's hiding but I'm dying to find out!! Insert Charlie Day conspiracy board meme
I love love love love your feedback and messages. Like. Wow. Talk about havin me happy. 🥰 you read over the work carefully looking for clues?? 🥺🥺🥺
Oh you did catch the thing about the dart ...
You have come the closest so far to guessing what the truth is......
I will tell you this - as a reward for your diligence - Jimin didn’t mean to smash the table... but he knew he smashed it...
You are looking at all the right things. But the secret is still bout to blow your mind.
I AM SO EXCITED AND I WANT TO TELL YOU SO BAD
Tumblr media
But I can’t.
