Sighing, Klaus left his crochet abandoned in his lap With Lila, Diego, and the kids all off to the coast for a few days, Five had been called in as a backup babysitter. Not for the children, but for his sober, obsessive compulsive brother. Being alone in the house felt like far too much pressure. The ability to go anywhere, unquestioned, do anything stupid his brain told him--that was too much power. Too much freedom, too fast. Therefore, Five.

"This is my schedule, babe, you're looking at it," Klaus said, his voice lacking his usual inflection as his eyes stayed on the TV. He wasn't even really watching it. It was just noise. "Gotta keep things consistent."

The cafe was not too busy that day, only a few students hanging around, and a couple of girls chatting lively. Haruko took advantage of that moment of quietness to rest a bit, observing the customers from behind the counter. Some were familiar faces. But there was a new guy that picked her attention, sat on a chair by the window.

He had pretty features, but his eyes were underlined by thick, dark circles. Haruko noticed how his head kept nodding off as he forced himself to read the book he kept on the table. Looked like he had a bad night or something.

She glanced at the pitcher with the leftover filtered coffee; the owner kept it on the side, so that employers could have a sip when the day was particularly busy. She sighed, took a mug and poured some of the leftover coffee in it before heading to the sleepy boy’s table.

“Here,” she offered, placing the mug next to his book. “It’s on the house. You seem tired, so I thought this could help,” she explained with a shrug and a smile.

Sleep comes hard for the vixen...

Despite being over worked she will still often avoid closing her remaining eye for too long...

Because all she sees behind it are faded images of the life she once had with the man she simply can't remember...

Everything about him is there...

But the voice that speaks from him comes in waves of static...and the face looking back at her is a god damn blur.

Tucked away in the corner with a hot cup of Joe and a half eaten bagel as she stares down the city lights through the window. Completely gone from the moment in a loss of sleep and a foggy memory fatigue...

“Will it?” Jordyn muttered quietly, resting his head against his hand. Finding himself at the bar, with the company of one of the militants by his side and a coffee in his hand— Jordyn was letting his guard down.

When was the last time he slept? He had maybe an hour of sleep a bit ago, but that was hardly enough for him to function. And yet, here he was. Coffee in hand to keep him awake and running. Of course he wouldn’t admit he had a problem with sleeping. Chalked it up to always having to be on call for Orión— h because he was demanding. Jordyn was someone who got paid a ridiculous amount to be a glorified babysitter.

And he didn’t mean to rant to his companion, but he did. The tiredness, probably, allowed him too. He was never really able to open up to anyone. If he looked bad on his part, it could reflect his nose. His Job.

He paused, before he laughed softly “Jesus.. sorry. I didn’t mean to just dump that on you. I’m not even drunk..” Jordyn hummed before looking at him, “Thank you. For your words.. I’ll keep that in mind”

Poucos realmente conheciam a profundidade do poder de Simone, alguns achavam que só afetava os outros se ela estivesse dormindo ou atacando diretamente alguém, mas em todos esses anos os impactos da insônia refletiam nela. As noites em claro não afetavam ela como os outros, é claro, só que passar metade das noites de sua vida acordada tinha sido no mínimo estressante... Mas para quem a conhecia o suficiente sabia que pequenas coisas poderiam a ajudar "Sabe que não precisa fazer isso né? Não somos mais crianças..." falou baixinho quando ele veio com aquela história, o que não quer dizer que ela não tinha gostado. A duvida dançava pelo castanho dos seus olhos encarando o chalé dele inclinada a aceitar "Qual sonho voce está pensando?"
