repeating myself here, but for good reason: the Silliness of the dafpork dynamic, however you determine the definition of Silliness, is really so integral to me and i think a big part of what makes them so special and personal. and i think that's a big reason why i was so afraid to post even the most innocuous stuff on main--even if they're not being clingy or cute together in a drawing, even in the comics where they're bickering like children or just being Themselves, there's this undercurrent of love beneath it that feels so comparatively intimate. they can have their moments of Unabashed Earnest, and they stand out much more and feel more special when you have them being dumb together to contrast it with... it's hard to pin down and they're hard to pin down, and that's why i love 'em, y'know? the variations on their dynamic is boundless, and so is their love, and so is their hijinks. they're not easily squeezed into an identifiable little box, and while i think that can trip some people up, i think it works to such a great strength with them. it's why i have trouble doing ask memes or drawing prompts with them (though i should try more!), because Dafpork Is Dafpork--they have minds and emotions and dispositions of their own and this blog functions to just sit back and observe what that all is, rather than force it. and that's how you get such a broad spectrum of Stuff, too; them being cute together, or being obnoxious, whether at each other or with each other, or they're not quite anything at all because the only one who knows what they are is each other. there's just truly so much and i really don't think it can be condensed into a bite sized trope or sweeping label.. and considering Daffy's anarchy and Porky's stubbornness, that feels very fitting. maybe it's a reason as to why it's difficult for some people to get on board with them, but i feel like it's such a great strength, and it's a great motivator to spread their gospel all the more, too! to try and get people to understand! so thank you for reading this, because if you're here then it shows you're curious and want to uncover more about them. me too!

Random weird question: How do people interact online now outside of games and social media?

That I know of, chat rooms are pretty much non-existent now. Is it all just Discord now? I've had people say I'm welcome to join their servers, but I'll admit that I feel intimidated because I've only ever used it once back in 2018(?). I have no clue how it actually works. It almost feels like I'm invited to a party where everyone already knows one another, but I keep saying no because I know I'm just gonna be the awkward person hiding in the corner while holding an empty cup because I'm too afraid to move from my safe spot. At least here on Tumblr it's more like being on the playground, and I just happened to stumble across my mutuals because we're all playing in the same sandbox.

Oh boy. Now this is an ask I appreciate. I'm answering for Tron, Tron: Betrayal (the comic), and Tron: Legacy. Not answering for the TV show or videogame.

The first character I first fell in love with: Sam Flynn. basic, I know, but I had a great time with his struggles with his father's legacy sitting on his shoulders The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Tron!Kevin Flynn. have thoughts about him post-first movie, but he's great as the viewpoint character helping Tron on his quest to stop Sark. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Clu. I don't hate him. I like what he represents. I just don't care enough to do anything about it. The character I love that everyone else hates: I'm going to take "everyone else" as "people outside the fandom" and then say "A Female Character". hell, I'm sure the corporate creatives didn't care much for them either, but the Tron franchise always had great female characters. Lora and Quorra, my beloveds. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: never fell out of love with the characters, but Disney can go roast in the fires of hell The character I would totally smooch: friendly pecks on the cheek, right? because that would be Quorra. The character I’d want to be like: Lora Bradley The character I’d slap: KEVIN FLYNN POST-TRON, YOU ASS A pairing that I love: I have a life pre-Sam/Tron and a life post-Sam/Tron. I am what I am now because I spent a long time in the Sam/Tron sandbox, and it was a great sandbox. It is still a great sandbox. People who do shipping should spend more time in sandboxes for improbably ships and get some perspective. A pairing that I despise: Clu/Rinzler.
