Forbidden Desires - Chapter 1
R.R
Tumblr media
Y/n was always what everyone considered blessed. Now, being the assistant for the tribal chief had it’s perks. For starters, you rode around in his luxurious bus, that only few people were allowed on.
You also, were granted with being able to fly on private jets to get from place to place, as well as exquisite hotel rooms booked and paid for.
Especially your schedule. Roman Reigns wasn't showing up to every pay per view. Not even every Friday night SmackDown. He made appearances when he felt like it. So you were usually home, that didn't mean you were off work, you had other things to handle.
Many people wanted to be you, or at least wanted your job. While these people we’re wanting your job and status, you were wanting the man you worked for, your boss, none other then the Roman Reigns.
You’d been working for him for almost 4 years now. Ever since he pursued his heel character, you’d been hired as his personal assistant.
Being his assistant wasn’t nearly as bad as you thought. You initially had thought he’d order you around to do his dirty work, but working for him was nicer then excepted.
All you really did was keep track of his hectic schedule, pack his luggage for him, and follow him around during meetings and travels...you were even ‘ordered’ to be taking care of something he claimed to be more important then work. And not to mention the money was a plus. He paid you better then you deserved, you swore it was favouritism, for some obvious reasons.
Over the years you worked for him, you two created a special bond. Yes, he was your boss. But, he was also your best friend. You two would often spend time together even during non work related moments.
You could find the both of you at a bar together. Or having movie nights in each other’s hotel rooms. You loved the time you spent together. And maybe loved him..
The only problem in your way was the age gap you two shared. You were in your early twenties whereas Roman was on the verge of 40. The age gap wasn’t even a big deal to you. But, if others found out you’d grown feelings for your boss. All hell would break loose. Roman, is extraordinarily popular with females.
Like seriously, he has some die hard female fans. Most around your age. If anyone found out about this little crush you’d developed..well..you’d for starters be fired, and your reputation would be completely destroyed.
So here you are, sitting in the tribal chief’s private jet, waiting to land in Las Vegas. “Alright, only about a hour to go” a familiar deep voice spoke. You looked up to see Roman sitting comfortably in his seat, staring intently at you. “Yeah..” you mumbled.
“Whats up with you? You been like this all flight, completely out of it. What’s wrong are you sick? Do you have a fever? The flu? Is you know- nevermind..” Roman spoke worried glancing around as if anyone was watching. “No no, im good” you spoke as reassuringly as you could. He looked at you skeptically before closing his Macbook and making his way to sit beside you.
He sat beside you and looked at you for a few seconds before speaking up. “What’s planned for today?” he asked you. You quickly opened your large Ipad before glancing over his schedule created perfectly by you. “Well..today you’re free as a bird, and tomorrow you have a meeting in the afternoon, it’s a long one..” you told him.
“Damn, I hate the long meetings” he spoke with a smile. “They are the worst” you agreed grinning. “Anyways, since i’m free today, why don’t you and I head out, go do something fun together, away from work..you know after we get settled in..” he spoke almost nervously.
You were surprised to say the least. You didn’t think he would wanna spend his free day with you. “Yeah sure. What do you wanna do?” you asked him while trying to hide your growing smile. “Anything you want. Actually you know what? Lemme take you shopping, Las Vegas is known for their malls” he requested with a wink. Your cheeks started heating up.
“Sure” you spoke softly. He smiled at you before striking up new conversation about some investors looking to partner with WWE. It kept yourself distracted from the mess in your mind. Before you knew it, you landed in Las Vegas, and your uber was here to take you and Roman to the hotel.
Once you arrived to your hotel, you and Roman headed to the front desk to get the keys to your rooms.
“I’m sorry sir but, only one room has been booked-” the hotel worker spoke.
“That cant be! You don’t understand, I called yesterday booking two rooms!” Roman spoke roughly at the worker. Your feelings were hurt to say the least. You didn’t think he’d be this avoidant at sharing a room with you, especially after the favor you did him. You instantly felt your heart swelling and tears coming to your eyes. This man always made you so sensitive over the smallest things.
You refused to cry over this so you grabbed Roman’s arm. “I’m gonna head to the bathroom, i’ll be right back” you spoke softly. Roman slightly nodded his head before going back to barking at the hotel employee.
You took as long as you could trying to get yourself together in the bathroom. You had just arrived is Las Vegas and he was already making you feel like shit. You didn’t even understand what the problem was. Well, deep down you did...you knew he didn't wanna make the same mistake.
You made your way back to the lobby to see a more calm and quiet Roman standing by the elevators.
“So Y/n..they are all booked and it looks like me and you are roommates for the next few nights” he told me. “I’m really sorry..” he added ashamed.
Your eyes widened. Why was he sorry? He didn’t even do anything. Well apart side from almost making you cry, but thats besides the point.
“Roman..why are you sorry? It’s just a room..no biggie” you spoke, plus it's not like you haven't shared one before.
“Because well, I don’t want you to feel like i’m taking advantage of you..and I don’t wanna make things awkward and weird between us..” he went on nervously.
You both knew he was lying straight through his teeth. That wasn't the real reason.
You took his words in before responding. You reached out and touched his arm reassuringly. “Ro, that’s okay, seriously I don’t mind.” you let him know. You'd be careful this time. He smiled at you almost gratefully knowing you understood.
The hotel room the two of you would be sharing was nothing less then absolutely luxurious. But you weren't surprised, the tribal chief always needed the best.
After the two of you settled into your hotel room, Roman called for an Uber to take you two to the mall. Inside the uber Roman and you made small talk back and forth but no one could deny the elephant in the room.
A little secret the two of you shared was up in the air. Something no one could know about...otherwise everything would be ruined. He warned you, if anyone found out what the two of you shared, it was over.
Everything was.
That was the first chapter of forbidden desires that I've been putting off. I have a lot more sitting in my drafts for you guys that'll be out soon. Also what do you think the little secret is? Let me know what you think of this chapter.

How does this go? Long time lurker first time poster? Something like that? lol I absolutely love reading some soft and heart warming fics when I feel sick. Which lately has been all the time. I decided to write a cute little something to take my mind off of it.
Tumblr media
Latent love
Another day another mildly irritating migraine. I really don’t understand what sparked this migraine outbreak I’ve been suffering since January. My migraines had been under control for years at this point, and aside from switching jobs nothing had changed. These migraines were made even more irritating by the fact that my go to medicine now gives me a side effect. So now I have to decide if I want to suffer the side effects of the medicine or suffer through the migraine until I’ve knocked myself out. Needless to say the head pounding, dizzy brain fog was basically my new baseline. Today was no different. Woke up, tied my curly hair back and almost instantly developed a tension headache. After loosening my hair tie I keep getting ready for work. The fact that I’ll be able to see my pookie Pedge is basically the only thing getting me through the day.
Because the world apparently has it out for me, my phone decides to let me know that the atmospheric pressure will be changing several times today. Guess who discovered this past winter that atmospheric pressure changes are a migraine trigger? You guessed it, ME!
Today is going to be an awesome day, maybe if I keep this thought in the forefront it will become true. Unfortunately once I got to work my day derailed. It’s always something I swear, if it’s not inventory it’s issues with our system. The one draw back about making yourself indispensable at work is that you’re now everyone’s go to when something goes awry. Almost as soon as I walked in my AGM pulls me aside and to give me a brief on the previous night. “We had a pretty chill night, but we had an issue with the new hire” —she tells me. It’s pretty unsurprising, unfortunately our newest hire isn’t quite fitting in and is making most of our employees uncomfortable. I turned to ask “what happened now?” She looks at me with a look that says ‘you’re not going to like this one bit’. “Well he was outside taking orders and told a customer ‘where did you all come from, there’s so many?’ Which in itself is bad enough but this customer was a minority.” I honestly I’m baffled and a bit put off as a minority myself. I don’t quite know how to respond to her aside from “What the fuck?” This will probably be this guys last straw because even if he didn’t mean it in a racist way, the phrasing is left to interpretation. “Okay, I’ll talk to the DM and get her opinion on this.” Once we finished our little catch up we hopped on the line and started slinging drinks. The rest of the day was full of minor inconveniences that didn’t help the dull migraine I had walked in with. The biggest issue was that our iPads and POS system decided to quit on us in the middle of our lunch rush. After troubleshooting that and basically missing my break I was completely checked out for the rest of my shift.
I made it home before Pedro did, which I was hoping would be the case. I needed a couple of hours to decompress, hopefully get this migraine in check and be more personable when he came home. Heading straight for our bathroom I stared a bath and set the temperature to scalding. While that filled up I was left with the decision of how to treat my migraine. Do I take the triptan and basically feel like someone is holding my throat for hours, or take a ‘gummy’ and end up horny as hell. Honestly I’ll decided after my bath, I don’t have the capacity right now. Shutting the water off, I undress and hop in the shower for a quick rinse before enjoying my bath. Even in so much pain the idea of being sitting sweat soup wasn’t appealing. I hoped in the bath, put on my eye massager and enjoyed my bath.
I must have dosed off because next thing I know Pedro is walking into the bathroom and pulling my mask off. “Hola cariño, how are you?”—he asked in the smoothest voice ever. I think he knew I wasn’t feeling well the minute he walked in. “Not great, today was a day and a half and my migraine isn’t letting up.” He just looked at me with the most compassionate look another human could give me. “Have you taken anything?” “No I haven’t, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to take the triptan or a gummy.” Before I even finish my sentence he’s shaking his head at me and walking back into our shared bedroom. He comes back in carrying three gummies, two for me and one for him. “You know these make me horny, right?” I asked him straight up. He nods his head and states, “I am very aware of how these get you worked up. I am the one that takes care of those needs every time. Take it and get out of the bath so I can help you get ready for bed. I already closed all the blinds, made the room extra cold and grabbed your saltines.” I looked at him in awe, I really shouldn’t be surprised he had taken care of everything after a year of dating and three months living together he knew me like the back of his hand. “Okay, thank you. I’ll be just a couple of minutes.” Once he walks back in our room, I shake my head and realize once more just how lucky I was to have met him. This is the moment that I realize that true love is never a burden, as someone that suffers from a chronic illness my biggest fear is dragging down those I love.
I walk over to the bed and get in and snuggle my man. I’m feeling extra sensitive at the moment so I decided that sleeping nude feels like the right move. So I walk across the room and climb in bed without a second thought. “Cariño, you haven’t done any of your skincare.”—Pedro reminds me. I shake my head and say “I know I just don’t feel like standing any longer” almost before I can finish my sentence he’s standing up and heading to my vanity. He comes back with my toner, serum and moisturizer. Not my full routine, but the basics. “Pedge, I can barely sit up, I’m skipping the skincare” he starts shaking his head mid way through my sentence. “I didn’t bring these over for you to use, I’ve seen you do this enough times I can apply them for you.” At this statement I’m two seconds away from crying, because he sees me. Pedro sees me and my flaws, quirks and illnesses.
He finished my skincare in less than a minute, goes to put everything back and comes to bed once all lights are off and our pup is in the room. Once we settle he’s big spoon, while I’m little spoon. He slides his arm under my head for me to rest while his other hand is wrapped around my middle. Almost instantly I’m relaxed, and a in almost a whisper I say “I can’t believe you’re the man I get to spend the rest of my life with” I end my statement with a kiss on his arm. He nuzzles my neck and sates “I will never be more thankful that I spilled my coffee that morning almost a year and a half ago. Every day I wake up and thank the universe for bringing us together and I cannot wait until I can call you my wife”

Hello again. I’m back with another delusional prediction: his entire fucking backstory lets do this! (I want to see how much I can get right before S2 drops.) (And I also realize I talk a lot about Drew’s backstory anyways, so might as well just outline all my thoughts here!)
Tumblr media
Obviously, we know Drew’s parents are rich. It’s the thing he brags about constantly. So I imagine his parents have jobs that keep them away from home often. (Either they have to work long hours, or they have to travel.) I also imagine Drew’s an only-child, because… like, he lacks basic communication skills and his empathy’s terrible. All of this points to someone who grew up relatively alone.
So, with Drew’s parents just gone for most of his life, Drew was probably left under the care of nannies they’d hire, and honestly, I feel like Drew probably wouldn’t really want to interact with any of these people. He feels like the kind of kid who just locked himself away in his room and went on his iPad. (YOU CANNOT TELL ME DREW WASN’T AN IPAD KID I WILL NOT BELIEVE YOU-)
So these nannies pretty much made sure he got to school, ate, and went to bed. They didn’t actually engage with him much beyond that. (Unless like he was actively acting up or something.) And if they tried, Drew would probably be a little brat and leave. (Also I imagine that he’d only have the same nanny for a few weeks to a few months before his parents hired someone else.)
When Drew’s parents were around, they were pretty neglectful. They wouldn’t really engage unless Drew actively made an effort. (Which was rare at best.) They were very professional, and emotionally distant. Drew was always shut down whenever he was upset, and he was likely either yelled at or ignored whenever he cried. I like to imagine he’s parents probably have more traditional values, such as men always having to be strong and whatnot. It was considered weakness to cry, or display any strong emotions really. (I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed that Drew has a toxic masculinity mindset, which would explain a lot about his behavior, and how he instinctively resorts to anger to express his emotions.)
Drew was always told he had to be strong, and he wasn’t supposed to cry. And eventually, he stopped crying, because he knew it wouldn’t get him anything, and it’d only be a sign of weakness: something he was supposed to be.
Hell, the only real way Drew could even tell that his parents cared about him was how they’d buy him stuff. They’d buy him anything he wanted, they just never gave him their time. (Which is why he’s always buying stuff for his friends because it’s all he knows how to do.)
I don’t think Drew really understood why his parents were never around, at least for a while. He probably just assumed they didn’t want him or something. Or he wasn’t worth more than their time was.
Needless to say, I think Drew was a pretty problematic child in Elementary school. I imagine he’d be pretty defiant of authority, and pretty argumentative too. (All just lashing out because of the lack of attention he receives at home.) (Also in an attempt to gain control over something.)
But Drew eventually mellowed out, and just accepted how his life was. And I’m just gonna mention here too, Drew definitely has an insecure attachment style. Without a consistent parental figure giving him attention, and with how little he had control over in his early life, I feel like he’d developed a disorganized attachment style. (Being a combination of avoidant and anxious. He wants to keep people close, but he’s also terrified of someone else leaving him so he’d rather just keep his distance sometimes.) (He needs therapy BAD.)
Anyways, I feel when Drew was around 12 or so, his parents probably figured he’d be old enough to take care of himself, which at this point Drew just does not care anymore. He locks himself away in his room anyways, what difference would it make? His parents just gave him his own card so he could buy himself anything he needed. (This basically left Drew home alone for a majority of his life. He’d sometimes catch them late at night after work or early before work, or sometimes not at all because they’re traveling meaning he’d be alone for several days at a time.)
And I definitely feel Drew resents his parents for having him and never being around for him, but he tells himself it made him independent, and it gave him realistic expectation of what the worlds like. (In reality all his parents gave him is attachment issues, abandonment issues, and a shit-ton of cash.)
Anyways, as stated before Drew probably gained a reputation for being a problematic child in Elementary school, and maintained this reputation even when he started mellowing out and focusing more in school. So Middle School became his ‘fresh start’. (WHICH IS WHY HE TOLD JAKE THAT IN EPISODE 9-)
As per his parents demand, Drew enrolled in Honors courses. (That was probably one of the only things they really cared about honestly: his grades.) And he started building a better reputation for himself, making friends with cooler students and picking on others to make him feel better about himself.
But these friends he had were all based around being cool. Drew had to fit with them, and if he slipped up he’d probably be no better than the people he bullied. (Middle School’s a lawless land.)
And from the Comic Episode it’s sort of implied Drew didn’t go to Middle School with Henry or Liam, so I’m gonna assume they met sometime in High School.
And I think a reason Drew became friends with these two absolute losers is because they weren’t really all that cool. They’re just two goofballs, so Drew probably didn’t have to worry about being cool around them. (Same goes for why he hangs out with Jake, too.) He’s friends with them all because he’s not really too concerned about appearing cool. He can slip up now and then and know it won’t result in anything. And they make him look cooler by comparison-
(I also like the idea that Drew dropped the Honors classes he’d been taking sometime in Sophomore or Junior year just to be with his friends. I like to think he had to argue with his parents for a while just so they’d let him.)
My final note is on Jake. Drew- Drew has a crush on him. That’s simply canon. (Trust me guys it’s gonna be confirmed in S2 I promise-) So he gets really possessive and controlling because he doesn’t want Jake to leave like everyone else in his life did. He doesn’t want Jake to abandon him, so he will do anything in his power to prevent that.
So that’s all I got for the backstory. Now to talk about the affects.
So because Drew’s parents were never around, he probably had this complex he isn’t really worth much. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they find more time for him? And because he never really felt love as a child, he struggles to find worth in himself. He’s unable to find happiness in himself because he was never taught how to love himself. (And it’s hard to love yourself if you feel like no one loves you.) So his only source of happiness is his friends. (I’ve done a separate post about this topic but essentially Drew is co-dependent because they’re his only escape from his loneliness and self-hatred.)
And as another way to cope with his problems, Drew brags about his possessions and picks on others constantly. It’s a way to make himself to look better than others. To make himself seem like someone worthwhile.
And because Drew cannot love himself, he finds ways to be wanted. To be needed, to be worth something.
Which is why he spends thousands on his friends. Not only is it the only way he knows how to show his love, it’s also how he knows he’s needed. If he can buy his friends anything they want, why would they ever leave him? They’d have no reason to.
It’s why he kinda lets Zoey walk all over him in their relationship. It’s why he so casually buys Jake a laptop and a literal Switch. It’s all so they still need him. And all he wants in exchange is their care.
So when Zoey cheats and Jake lies, it crumbles his very worldview. He thought they needed him. He thought they cared. But to him, it was all a lie. And it all circles back to him feeling worthless and useless all over again.
TDLR: Drew’s parents neglected him for a majority of Drew’s life and he desperately needs therapy because of it. And he has depression probably. And at least like 5 of his problems could’ve been solved with a hug and simple reassurance.

This is one of my favorite pairing memes/questionnaires, and I never did it for these two, so CONSIDER THAT FIXED. Ellen Graham & Philip Raven from This Gun For Hire (1942):
Who…
Collects rocks? Raven. Call it a throwback to his boyhood or some sort of arrested development thing if you want to, but I do think he appreciates an interesting looking rock and/or especially a good skipping stone.
Takes pictures of the other while they’re asleep? Mostly Ellen. Though Raven has been known to snap one here or there if she looks particularly cute/ridiculous.
Gets drunk and breaks shit? Ellen, because she gets clumsy-drunk (and is really embarrassed and apologizes profusely for whatever she broke!). Raven I see as having a general dislike for (if not outright fear of) getting drunk, due to the way it dulls the senses, lowers inhibitions, and can impact memory. He'll drink, but rarely, and always slowly enough for it to not affect him.
Can’t swim? Neither...? I feel Raven would know how to, if only because it's a useful skill that could help him with getaways (plus I have a hard time headcanoning any character played by RL champion swimmer and diver Alan Ladd as not being able to swim, pfft). And Ellen strikes me as the kind of gal who enjoys a good day at the beach, so swimming = yes.
Remembers to feed the fish? Both, though Raven is better about doing it at a set time each day, whereas Ellen operates under more of an "I'll get to it when it's convenient" kind of approach.
Puts up Christmas decorations in November? Ellen! Though she may not have very many decorations to put up.
Sends inappropriate texts and snapchats while the other is in a meeting? ELLEN. But this is mostly a joke, as she knows he isn't really affected by them. #AsexualCatMan
Makes Sims just to drown them in the pool? Raven. He has to channel all that rage and killin' energy somewhere, lololol.
Brings the other coffee at work? Raven. He isn't big on public displays of affection, but I do think this is one of the small-but-significant ways he'd show he did indeed care.
Takes gym locker room selfies? Ellen. She keeps wanting him to take thirst-trap photos of himself for her, but he keeps refusing.
Signs them up for tennis lessons and salsa-making classes? Definitely Ellen, because she genuinely enjoys them, but also because she thinks the occasional bout of socializing is good for Raven (she's right). Raven tolerates it because it makes Ellen happy (and maybe...maybe he even starts to like it a little bit, despite himself? NEVER EXPECT HIM TO ADMIT THIS OUTLOUD, THOUGH).
Forgets to charge the other’s iPad and leaves it dead on the coffee table? Raven doesn't have an iPad, but Ellen forgets to charge her own half the time. If Raven notices, he'll plug it in for her.

How to Introduce an Innovation Mindset into Your Company.
Tumblr media
Innovation is a painful undertaking in many firms despite significant time and financial commitments. Initiatives in innovation frequently fail, and successful innovators — Polaroid, anyone? — struggle to maintain their performance. Greetings, Nokia. Yahoo, good day!
Why is developing and maintaining the ability to innovate so challenging? The causes go far further than the most prevalent cause, which is an execution failure. Lack of a really efficient plan is at the heart of the issue with attempts to increase innovation.
Organizations of all sizes and in all industries observe their efforts floundering as a result of being sucked into the ever-frantic routine. They are unable to commit to a set of rules or actions that reinforce one another in order to attain their objectives—this is the essence of strategy, remember?
Additionally, businesses struggle with global opening. They are nearly always conservative, which prevents them from forming productive alliances with startups (masters of innovation), and they don't believe it is vital for businesses to hire specialized consultants.
How did it turn out? A growing list of complaints includes failing to meet the demands and preferences of contemporary consumers, losing market and economic value, increasing competition, team discontent, and more. Such a situation is not necessary!
A plan for innovation is what, after all?
Good strategies enable an organization's varied groups to align, define its objectives and priorities, and direct actions in support of those goals and priorities.
Companies frequently outline their general company strategy (i.e., their position and scope) and how other departments—such as marketing, operations, finance, and R & D—will support it. However, they hardly ever-present concrete proposals for how to match their innovation initiatives with overarching corporate objectives.
It is crucial to keep in mind that an innovation strategy is a method used to promote innovations (in technology, services, goods, processes, etc.), often by allocating funds and personnel to R&D projects.
Companies who wish to have an advantage over their competitors must have an innovation strategy. It needs to be motivating and bring something distinctive to the being produced or already in use product, service, method, or business model. Its primary goal is to create value, which also aids in creating market uniqueness and fostering loyalty among clients, business partners, suppliers, and ultimately the target audience.
Innovation must break the mold and push limits. Despite the fact that the notion is intuitive, this does not always imply creating the wheel. Starting from scratch can frequently be significantly less profitable than building upon what already exists or cutting the corners.
Apple comes to mind immediately when you think about innovation. With tremendous success, the business that Steve Jobs started has produced distinct items and continues to do so. Innovative goods included the iPhone, iPad, and iWatch. Not out of nowhere, they appeared. The mobile phones, which already existed and were performing well (hello, Blackberry!), were something that Jobs had to take into account. could more effectively utilize the internet; similar events occurred with the other devices manufactured by the business that revolutionized the market.
The beauty of a successful innovation plan is that we may come up with tremendous surprises along the way and reach a never-before-seen success, even while smaller firms might not have the worldwide success of Apple.
The question is, how can we foster an innovative mindset?
1. Be flexible with change
Being receptive to change entails accepting and embracing the idea that society as a whole is challenged by the world's ongoing changing. It also means to be alert to the direction that this changing world is taking and to observantly follow developments and novel events. Last but not least, it also requires you to continuously assess what the change entails and what potential effects it may have on your company.
Organizations are no different from individuals when it comes to dealing with the hard issue of change. It's often exceedingly challenging for established organizations to accept that technology change will soon have an influence on their industry.
2. Welcome imagination
Believing in one's own creativity is another component of an inventive attitude. Rather of using the conventional scientific technique to solve issues, innovators believe that creativity is the best approach. Many people who have effectively used innovation in the context of regular business activity tend to have this viewpoint. The idea of design thinking forms the foundation of the innovation as art viewpoint in business, in significant part.
However, it's crucial to note that equating innovation with the arts does not negate the need for logic, methods, and structure in the pursuit of new ideas. When engaging in the practice of innovation, all things are necessary. The innovation-as-art approach emphasizes that creativity should come first when developing new ideas rather than using management techniques and organizational frameworks. It, in turn, calls for a certain culture and structure that fosters innovation. Many digital businesses are setting up shop in this neighborhood, as well. As an illustration, the business handbook of Valve Software highlights the flat organizational structure, independence, and obligation of each employee to be creative in their day-to-day job.
3. Think broadly
Today, the majority of academic scholars and subject-matter authorities on innovation concur that innovation involves more than either making small adjustments to already-existing items or creating new ones.
This brings up the issue that, in order to be innovative, one must have the capacity and bravery to think outside the box and challenge accepted ideas and beliefs. Stretching one's intellect beyond routine analysis and contemplation is what innovation is all about.
We would contend that imaginative thinking and large ideas require a blend of analytical prowess, entrepreneurial zeal, and fantasy. A group of people, and most definitely organizations, are best suited to house all these qualities under one roof. Few people are gifted with all these abilities, but they can be accommodated by a group of people. This is also one of the reasons why a diverse organizational culture has emerged as a crucial prerequisite for innovation: diverse groups that combine skills and capabilities can accomplish big thinking more readily than homogenous groups that are likely to repeatedly reproduce versions of similar thinking.
4. Show bravery
Organizations and the innovators inside them must have the guts to continually rethink how things may be done for innovation to occur. Being different from prevailing opinions and accepted "truths" in large organizations requires bravery. Before they start to lose their appeal, it requires guts to criticize tried-and-true business models, solutions, and services. Questioning management and coworkers about their continued use of established practices requires bravery. Being that one individual who consistently goes against the flow and attempts to view things from an alternative perspective requires bravery. Problematizing constantly is a sign of courage. Against conventional corporate wisdom, it requires guts to be open and vulnerable rather than playing things safe. Taking a chance on failing and venturing into the unknown need guts.
To advance innovation and foster a creative environment in organizations, all of the aforementioned steps are important. Because whenever something novel has occurred, it has always been because someone had the courage to go into the unknown. I often consider the man who began a dance party at the Sasquatch music festival when I consider the bravery required to take that initial move. In an organisation, things might also go exactly that way.
5. Quickly plan and execute
In order to keep up with the change occurring outside of an organization, innovation within that organization needs to be a quick-moving process.
The transition from idea to concept and concept to market was frequently a lengthy process in the twentieth century. Comprehensive R&D often took a lot of time. For instance, a new automobile model has taken the automotive industry an average of eight years to develop, design, and introduce. Eight years is now, however, a very long time in the rapidly evolving automobile industry. A new car can be imagined and introduced to the market in 12 to 18 months, as evidenced by potentially disruptive business models for the auto industry like Local Motors. In the years to come, this timeframe can probably be slashed even further thanks to advanced 3D printing technologies and VR-aided design and manufacturing.
In a nutshell, an innovation mindset is comprised of five essential components. We need to be adaptable, inclined towards innovation, able to think broadly, unwaveringly courageous to challenge the status quo, and quick to act.
A company that wants to be creative needs to act quickly and use an innovation process that moves quickly, together with a go-to-market strategy that works well. It's important to follow the principle of "failing fast" in this situation since new ideas and concepts must be tested out immediately and abandoned just as quickly if they don't work. Because the next "big idea" in the world is just around the corner, the organization may utilize this strategy to shift resources to the following idea rather than being caught in a fruitless innovation endeavor.
To conclude,
Always keep in mind that developing and putting into practice creative ideas needs more than a moment of inspiration and a lot of hard work, even when you have the correct mentality. It needs a disciplined procedure, outstanding leadership, and a dedicated staff. I advise you to begin right away on all of the below.

Also, as someone that has worked with kids in many settings, let me tell you something about the Sephora ten year olds.
They are normal ten year olds. They are just in a place that is not designed to host them.
If you ever went to a Chuck-E-Cheese, you saw the same shit. Kids screaming. Kids making messes. Kids being rude. The kid who's parent is ignoring them while they act out for attention. That one kid screaming "I WANT IT! I WANT IT!" until they turn purple.
The difference between a Sephora and a Chuck-E-Cheese is that a Chuck-E-Cheese was designed for this. There are employees whose job it is to clean up these messes. There are employees stationed strategically to stop fights. Someone is watching things within children's reach, because they are paid to. Everyone knew there would be screaming children when they took the job.
The Sephora employees were hired to sell make-up. Their job is stocking shelves, ringing up purchases, and answering questions about products. The space is designed to market and display products. Sephora wants to sell make-up. They aren't equipped to entertain large groups of children.
What you are seeing, is Sephora utterly fail to be a Chuck-E-Cheese. We are seeing Stanley Cups be poor Sillybandz. We are seeing Ipads as the TV's predatory successor. We are seeing childhood become gentrified.
Something something, unregulated social media algorithms. Something something, sexualizing youth while stigmatizing age. Something something, time of social development spent quarantined. Something something, sabotaged school system. Something something, making two income households the norm. Something something, no third places. Something something, exploitation will always be more profitable then the betterment of society.
There will probably be many books written on how throughly fucked over these kids have been. My point, is that these kids are normal. They are so normal! They are normal walruses, we are just suprised they knocked on our door!
"Somebody needs to do something about Sephora 10-year-olds...these i-pad babies are so rude and don't do what they're told....oh my God, these kids can't read and have no social skills...Ugh, look at these little consumers and their Stanley Cups."
I am, in fact, actively worried for these children and I refuse to hate them for the ways that society, as a whole, has failed them.

Avoid These Mistakes When You Hire an iOS Application Developer for Your Project
In 2025, mobile apps are no longer a luxury; they're essential tools for brand growth, user engagement, and digital revenue. But building a successful iOS app goes far beyond having a great idea. You need the right developer to turn your idea into a real app.
Whether you’re launching a fitness tracker, a food delivery app, or a finance tool, the person or team you hire can make or break your project. That's why it's crucial to avoid common hiring pitfalls. In this blog, we’ll highlight the biggest mistakes companies make when they hire an iOS application developer, and how you can avoid them to ensure your app is functional, scalable, and App Store-ready.
Why Hiring the Right iOS Developer Matters More Than Ever
Apple’s ecosystem has expanded dramatically in 2025. With SwiftUI growing, iOS 19 updates, Vision Pro features, and new AI tools, creating an iOS app today needs more technical skills and a better understanding of Apple's platform than ever before.
Hiring a skilled iOS developer ensures:
Compliance with Apple’s strict guidelines
Smooth performance across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch
Scalability as your app grows
Strong App Store Optimization
Integration with Apple APIs
Common Mistakes to Avoid When You Hire an iOS Application Developer
Here are the top missteps you should avoid during the hiring process:
1. Choosing Cost Over Quality
Many startups and small businesses fall into the trap of choosing the cheapest developer they can find. While budget matters, going too cheap can result in:
Poor app performance
Bugs and crashes
Delays in App Store approval
Lack of scalability
Pro Tip: Focus on value, not just price. A reliable iOS developer might charge more upfront but will save you time, money, and headaches in the long run.
2. Not Verifying Past Experience
A portfolio speaks louder than a resume. If a developer hasn’t built apps similar to yours or doesn’t have live apps on the App Store, consider it a red flag.
What to do instead:
Ask for links to live apps
Check App Store reviews
Verify their role in each project
3. Ignoring Knowledge of Apple’s Ecosystem
iOS apps today are expected to integrate with Apple Watch, Siri, widgets, iCloud, and even Apple Vision Pro. Hiring someone unfamiliar with these tools can limit your app’s functionality.
Ask questions like:
“Have you worked with SwiftUI or UIKit?”
“Can you integrate HealthKit, Core ML, or ARKit?”
“How do you optimize apps for battery life?”
4. Overlooking Communication & Availability
Great code is useless if your developer disappears for days or doesn’t understand your goals. Differences in time zones, communication issues, and lack of regular updates can completely mess up your project.
Ensure they offer:
Regular updates
Shared project tools
A clear point of contact for questions
5. Skipping the Technical Interview
Even if you're non-technical, you should never skip evaluating a developer’s actual skills. If needed, hire a technical consultant to review resumes, run code tests, or sit in on interviews.
Consider asking:
“How would you manage offline functionality in an iOS app?”
“What’s the difference between SwiftUI and UIKit?”
“How do you handle memory management?”
6. Not Discussing App Store Compliance Early
Many apps get rejected from the App Store due to poor design, weak privacy compliance, or broken features. An experienced developer should already know Apple’s app review policies.
Ask:
“How do you ensure compliance with Apple’s guidelines?”
“Do you support submitting the app to the App Store and managing future updates?”
7. No Post-Launch Support
Releasing the app is not the finish line, it's just the start. Users will want frequent updates, bug repair, and added features. Don’t hire a developer who disappears after launch.
Look for developers or teams who offer:
Post-launch support packages
Bug fixing SLAs
Version upgrades for new iOS releases
Tumblr media
What an Ideal Hiring Process Looks Like
Here’s a quick checklist to hire an iOS application developer effectively:
Define your project goals & features Choose a hiring model Review portfolios and App Store listings Interview for both technical and soft skills Start with a paid test task Sign an NDA and clear contract terms Use tools like Git, Jira, Figma, or Trello for collaboration Plan for support and version updates
Real-World Example: A Startup That Got It Right
A health-tech startup in the U.S. Wanted to create a telehealth app for iOS that follows HIPAA privacy rules. They interviewed 12 developers, shortlisted 3, and finally chose a developer with:
Strong SwiftUI experience
Prior work with HealthKit and CoreML
A clear plan for post-launch support
The app was launched in 14 weeks, received a 4.8 App Store rating, and scaled to 50,000+ users within 6 months all because they avoided hiring mistakes and chose the right partner.
4 Must-Ask FAQs When Hiring iOS Developers
1. Should I hire a freelancer or an agency for iOS app development?
It depends on your budget, timeline, and scope. Freelancers are cost-effective for small projects. Agencies are better for full-service development with design, testing, and maintenance.
2. What are red flags to watch for during the hiring process?
No portfolio or fake references
Refusing to sign an NDA
Poor communication or unclear pricing
Lack of Swift or SwiftUI experience
3. Can I update and manage the app myself after launch?
Yes if the developer uses good coding practices and hands over proper documentation. Always request access to source code, Apple Developer account, and backend credentials.
Final Thoughts
Hiring the right iOS developer can take your business to new heights. But the wrong hire can cost you time, money, and brand trust. In 2025, it’s more important than ever to choose developers who are not only skilled in Swift and SwiftUI, but also understand Apple’s ecosystem, privacy standards, and user experience expectations.
When you hire an iOS application developer, don’t rush the process. Avoid the common mistakes listed in this guide, and you’ll save yourself from major issues down the line.

How Much Does It Cost to Hire a VisionOS App Development Company?
Tumblr media
Apple’s VisionOS has made waves by introducing an entirely new way to experience digital content, blending apps into the physical world with spatial computing. From immersive productivity tools to 3D shopping experiences and next-gen healthcare applications, VisionOS opens endless possibilities.
But here’s the catch, groundbreaking tech comes with unfamiliar territory, especially when it comes to budgeting.
If you’re a startup founder, CTO, or tech lead planning to build for Apple Vision Pro, you're likely wondering, “How much will it actually cost to build a VisionOS app?”
This blog gives you a complete breakdown from the core cost drivers to development timelines, team structures, and what to expect when working with a VisionOS app development company.
Let’s get started.
What Is VisionOS and Why Is It Gaining Attention?
VisionOS is Apple’s operating system designed specifically for spatial computing on the Apple Vision Pro. Unlike iOS or macOS, VisionOS blends digital content into the real world through gesture tracking, eye movements, and voice commands.
This isn’t just another app platform. It’s a new computing paradigm.
Startups and tech innovators are already exploring VisionOS for:
Virtual collaboration and productivity tools
3D product configurators and immersive shopping
Medical simulations and patient care assistance
Immersive learning and training platforms
Creative AR/VR storytelling experiences
If your product has a visual, interactive, or spatial element, VisionOS might be your ideal frontier, and a VisionOS app development company can help you take that leap with the right strategy and tech stack.
What Types of Apps can you build with VisionOS?
The real question is, what can’t you build?
With spatial input and full 3D environments, VisionOS apps can transform how people:
Work: Visual dashboards, spatial whiteboards, and virtual meeting rooms
Shop: Virtual try-ons, 3D product walkthroughs
Learn: Medical training, engineering simulations, language immersion
Relax: Spatial games, ambient environments, mixed-reality experiences
Create: Design tools for architects, artists, and developers in 3D
Whether you're building a consumer-facing app or an enterprise-grade solution, the key is to pair your idea with the right UX, motion design, and system performance, all things a VisionOS app development company specializes in.
How Is VisionOS Different from iOS or macOS Development?
If your team has built for iPhone or iPad before, that would be great, but VisionOS isn’t a simple UI reskin. It introduces a completely new interaction model.
Here’s how it’s different:
No physical input devices: Users interact using eyes, hands, and voice, not taps or clicks.
Spatial awareness: Apps must respond to depth, environment lighting, and movement.
Volumetric interfaces: Forget 2D screens. You’re designing for 3D space.
High-performance requirements: Lag or jank can disrupt immersion; performance matters more than ever.
That means building a VisionOS app requires expertise in ARKit, RealityKit, SwiftUI, Metal, and new APIs released specifically for the Vision Pro.
If your internal team isn’t fluent in these tools, hiring a VisionOS app development company is your fastest path to production.
What Factors Influence the Cost of VisionOS App Development?
Just like any software project, the cost of building a VisionOS app depends on several core variables, but with spatial computing, a few new and unique factors come into play.
Here’s what drives the cost:
App Complexity and Features
Are you building a basic 3D viewer or a fully interactive, real-time collaborative platform? The more complex your features, like hand-tracking interactions, voice commands, or dynamic environment rendering, the more time and resources it takes to build.
Custom UI and UX for Spatial Environments
VisionOS apps live in 3D space, which means every menu, button, or interaction must feel intuitive and “real.” Designing spatial UIs (volumetric interfaces) requires motion designers, 3D artists, and developers working closely; this alone can add 20–30% to your typical app design costs.
3D Assets and Environments
Need custom models, product visualizations, or explorable scenes? If you're not using prebuilt assets, you'll need a team to create high-quality, optimized 3D content, a big factor in both budget and performance.
Device Testing and Optimization
Vision Pro apps must run flawlessly. That requires hands-on testing, performance tuning for eye tracking and gesture recognition, and real-world usage simulations. This testing phase is longer and more involved than standard mobile apps.
The VisionOS App Development Company You Hire
Agencies with deep Apple ecosystem experience and VisionOS expertise will charge more, but they also reduce your risk, build faster, and deliver higher-quality code. You get what you pay for.
How Much Does It Cost to Develop a VisionOS App in 2025?
So, what’s the actual investment required to bring a VisionOS app to life?
While final pricing always depends on your app’s scope, features, and partner, here’s a general idea based on current industry rates:
If you're building a simple 3D utility or viewer app with basic interactions and minimal logic, you can expect to spend a total of around $25,000 to $50,000. These apps typically showcase static content or offer limited interactivity and are great for quick MVPs or product demos.
For a moderately complex app that includes customized UI, business logic, and real-time interactions, such as a training simulation or a product walkthrough, the cost usually ranges from $50,000 to $120,000. These apps require more advanced development and user experience design tailored to spatial environments.
A high-performance VisionOS app that provides full 3D immersion, gesture control, advanced animations, and multi-layered environments could cost anywhere between $120,000 and $250,000 or more. These experiences often demand custom 3D asset development, intensive testing, and significant engineering time.
At the top end, enterprise-grade or multi-user collaborative VisionOS platforms, such as virtual offices, healthcare training tools, or remote diagnostic apps, may cost $200,000 to $400,000+, especially when built to scale, integrate with external systems, or support multiple device types.
How Much Time Does It Usually Take to Develop a Fully Function Visionos Application from Scratch?
The timeline to build a VisionOS app can vary significantly based on your project’s complexity, goals, and feature set. On average, most VisionOS development projects fall within a 3 to 9-month window, but that can stretch further depending on how immersive or technically demanding the app is.
If you’re building a simple prototype or MVP, something like a 3D catalog viewer or static content showcase, you might be looking at a development cycle of 8 to 12 weeks. These projects move quickly, especially if you’re using pre-built assets or focusing on proof of concept.
A mid-level VisionOS app with dynamic user interaction, custom UI design, and integrated features like voice commands or real-time data syncing will likely take 4 to 6 months. This includes discovery, 3D interface design, development, testing, and polishing the user experience.
For high-complexity or enterprise-grade apps, such as collaborative 3D environments, training simulations, or healthcare-focused applications, expect timelines closer to 7 to 12 months, especially if your app requires compliance with medical or data privacy regulations, or if it depends on building custom backend infrastructure.
It’s important to note that VisionOS is a new and evolving platform, so even small tasks like performance tuning or testing across use cases, can take longer than with mature platforms like iOS. Working with an experienced VisionOS app development company can assist in streamlining the process and avoid costly slowdowns.
What Skills Should a VisionOS App Development Company Have?
VisionOS development goes far beyond just writing Swift code. You're building for an entirely new kind of user experience, one that blends 3D space, real-world interaction, and high-performance computing.
That’s why partnering with a VisionOS app development company means more than hiring mobile developers. You need a team that blends design, motion, and engineering expertise to create immersive, intuitive, and performant spatial apps.
Here’s what the ideal team should bring to the table:
Expertise in Apple’s VisionOS Ecosystem
This includes deep knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, RealityKit, ARKit, and Metal. These are the core frameworks used to create spatial environments, animate 3D content, and integrate with the Apple Vision Pro hardware.
3D and Motion Design Capabilities
Since you’re designing for space, your app’s interface won’t live on a screen; it will live in the air. You’ll need experts in 3D modeling, motion graphics, and spatial design who understand how to create fluid, natural interactions.
UX Design for Spatial Interfaces
Regular UI/UX design won’t cut it. Your team must understand spatial design principles, like depth layering, gesture mapping, and gaze interaction, to make the experience intuitive and user-friendly.
Cross-Functional Developers and System Architects
From data sync and cloud infrastructure to performance optimization and real-time feedback loops, the backend and frontend must work in harmony. Teams that understand how to build stable, scalable systems for VisionOS will save you massive time and headaches.
Quality Assurance with Spatial Testing
Testing VisionOS apps is a different beast. QA engineers need to simulate real-world use, device movement, environmental light conditions, and even user behavior to ensure smooth, crash-free performance.
Hiring a well-rounded VisionOS app development company ensures that all of these skills are integrated into your build, not pieced together by freelancers or siloed teams.
What’s Included in a VisionOS App Development Estimate?
If you’ve never built a spatial app before, it’s easy to underestimate what goes into the final quote. A good VisionOS app development company should give you a clear, itemized estimate, not just a number pulled from the air.
Here’s what a complete cost estimate typically includes:
Discovery & Strategy Workshops
This is the foundation level. Your development partner will completely assist in clarifying your key app’s goals, defining user flows, exploring platform capabilities, and choosing the right technical approach. It’s where vision meets feasibility.
Spatial UI/UX and 3D Experience Design
Designing for VisionOS means creating volumetric layouts, custom motion flows, and immersive scenes, not just wireframes. This phase includes 3D modeling, animations, environment setup, and user interaction planning.
Frontend & Backend Development
Here’s where your app actually comes to life. Development covers:
Coding the spatial interfaces (using SwiftUI + RealityKit)
Backend logic (databases, servers, APIs)
Integrations with tools like Firebase, health data, and more
QA Testing & Optimization for VisionPro
QA is crucial in immersive environments. Testing includes gesture recognition, performance under load, compatibility with various light environments, and usability across different use cases.
App Store Deployment & Support
The VisionOS applications go through Apple’s review process, which includes strict guidelines. Your team should handle app store submission, compliance, and any post-launch tweaks or patches.
Project Management & Documentation
Expect clear timelines, agile sprints, transparent updates, and well-documented code. Good development companies make sure your project stays on track and is easy to scale later.
In short, you’re not just paying for coding. You’re investing in a comprehensive process that includes everything needed to design, build, test, and launch a spatial app with minimal risk.
How to Choose the Right VisionOS App Development Company?
Building a spatial app for VisionOS isn’t just about hiring developers. It’s about choosing a partner who understands the technology, your business goals, and how to merge the two into a seamless, immersive product.
But with so many agencies and freelancers out there, how do you find the right fit?
Here are key things to look for when evaluating a VisionOS app development company:
1. Proven Experience in the Apple Ecosystem
Check if they’ve built iOS, iPadOS, or ARKit apps before and bonus points if they’ve already delivered early VisionOS prototypes. Companies that understand Apple’s ecosystem will navigate VisionOS standards more efficiently and avoid rookie mistakes.
2. In-House 3D, UI/UX, and Motion Experts
VisionOS apps rely heavily on interaction design, spatial UI, and 3D responsiveness. Make sure your vendor has dedicated designers and motion specialists, not just coders, who understand volumetric design and real-time rendering.
3. Clear Project Process and Communication
Can they walk you through how your app goes from idea to launch? Do they offer roadmaps, regular demos, and check-ins? A highly professional team will have a structured, transparent process to guide you through each stage without tech jargon.
4. Scalable Engagement Options
You may want to start with an MVP and then expand. The right partner will offer flexible engagement models, such as fixed-price, time-and-material, or dedicated teams, so you can scale your business based on your needs and budget.
5. Strong Post-Launch Support
Your VisionOS app will need updates, improvements, and possibly new features as Apple updates the platform. Look for a company that offers long-term support, monitoring, and performance optimization after launch.
Choosing a qualified VisionOS app development company is more than a hiring decision; it’s a strategic partnership. The right team won’t just deliver an app; they’ll help shape your product for success in this new spatial era.
Is VisionOS Development Worth the Investment for Startups?
If you're leading a startup, every dollar you spend has to move the needle, and VisionOS development isn’t cheap. So, is it the right move now?
Here’s the honest take, yes, but only if you play it strategically.
VisionOS isn’t just another platform. It’s Apple’s first serious step into the spatial computing future, and like the early days of the App Store or iPhone, early adopters have a chance to lead.
That means less competition, more visibility, and massive potential to shape new user habits before the space gets crowded.
Here’s why startups should seriously consider it:
High-impact brand positioning: Building a VisionOS app now shows innovation and future-readiness.
New user experiences: You’re not recycling mobile ideas; you’re creating immersive, memorable products.
Cross-industry potential: From healthcare to retail, training to real estate, VisionOS fits multiple use cases.
Investor interest: Emerging tech and spatial computing are on the radar for VCs looking at the next frontier.
Long-term leverage: Even a simple MVP today positions you to scale as the hardware and ecosystem grow.
That said, you don’t have to build the next Photoshop for spatial computing right away.
Start small, test real use cases, and partner with a VisionOS app development company that knows how to turn bold ideas into practical execution.
Want to be ready for what’s next? Now’s the time.
