Tonight's going nice so far

I'm taking a bit of a break from video games and was doing some digital art/commissions from my husbands Dnd group. I went to the library earlier today to pick up my book replacement since I'm forgoing A Clockwork Orange. husband and I both tried to read it and watch the movie but the book felt unreadable and the movie was just to focused on sex and didn't make much sense as to really why he was doing anything (I mean just doing it to do it can certainly be a thing on its own but I felt like the book would have done the philosophy of it more justice then what the movie was lacking)

I ended up getting Book's of Blood which is an awesome read so far the intro was nice and set up the book very well as telling us what the book's of blood where and helping us understand the importance of the coming stories and where they came from. This first story in volume one was Midnight Meat Train! which I remembered watching a long time ago and didn't know it was by the same guy so it was a pleasant surprise. and even better the story was different and in my opinion worked better then the movie was, short to the point and a very entertaining protagonist!

My Ipsy bag also came in today, i was able to pick out new head towel that they offered since my husband loved the one he currently used that i bought for him to try out. i also tried a big dense foundation brush that they offered you know like the short plam ones? ive been meaning to try something like that for awhile now but their all so expensive i couldnt quick find the means nessisary to purchace one, it was very soft and worked my whole face routine with just the one brush with no need for my beauty blender i was very surprised! they also gave me 2 twofaced products the lip plumper and mascarra and i really liked both of those as well as some cream blush they gave me everything was a 10/10 I just feel sad that was my last bag I'd be receiving but maybe i can ask my husband to redo my subscription for christmas or maybe the'yll have something for black friday/cyber monday since i really like getting a monthly makeup bag

other then that I had some chicken mac and cheese for dinner since my husband was nice enough to get me some mac and cheese I've been craving for weeks now and it was very delicious. cant believe it's already almost midnight, the day just went by so fast.

We live in a time where many men and women obsess over appearance. I will not lie, I am one who loves to look and feel pretty all the time. So since some pretty cool products are expensive, I decided I would try out Ipsy. Ipsy is a monthly subscription services that charges $10 per month and sends 4-5 sample products to your address in a small bag that has a different design every month. These bag designs change and what you receive every month changes, the products can range from make up to skin care and all personalized just for you.

This month I received some products that I am just absolutely obsessed with, so I figured I share with all of you!

1. Rodial: Smokey Eye Pen in Black

Personally, I have never tried smokey eyes because I have very small eyes and never thought it would work. Well, I got it and felt adventurous and it turns out that it does look super amazing and that even small eyes can be smokey. As for the product, it is very smooth to put on and easy to blend out to make it smokey. It lasts quite a while which is even better especially for special events.

You can order this online from Rodial US (make sure it is US because they have a UK shipping place too.) It is a bit pricey at $21.00 but you do not need a lot to make it work and it is not an everyday make-up style.

2. Jersey Shore Cosmetics: Mongongo Lip Conditioner in Vanilla Coconut Cream

Being on a medication that makes everything super dry especially my lips I was super excited to have received this. It does not clump or make it look like just your lips are sweating, which is nice because much like no one likes lotions that make them look and feel greasy, I am pretty sure no one likes chapsticks that are the same way. On the website to order it, you have the choice of .15 oz tube or .25 oz tube along with other flavors(?)!

You can order this from the Jersey Shore Cosmetics website and this is not to bad for a good quality chapstick at $10.00 a tube.

3. It: 12-In-One Amazing Leave-In Treatment

I will make this product short and sweet. This is for sure something I will buy again it makes your hair smell and feel like when you have just left the salon and I know I cannot possibly be the only to like that.

4. LORD&BERRY: 20100 Maximatte Limited Edition

I am deeply in love with the color of this lipstick! Since I have such pale skin some lipsticks can make me look even more pale -- yes I know I could not wear them but there are different colors for different seasons and skin types, and yeah. However, this one much like a Marc Jacobs one I have received before is so subtle and classic. It is smooth but not creamy and helps keep your lips moisturized even though it is a matte lip.

It is also a little pricey but it is not bad because you can sharpen it down. On the website it is $20.00.

And last but most certainly not least for my August Glam Bag!

5. NYX: BORN TO GLOW LIQUID ILLUMINATOR

Of all the products I received I was very excited to get this one because I have yet to try an illuminator and was curious to see how it looked and worked. Again, since I am very pale this was very intense on my face unless mixed with a lighter highlighter, which is easily done. I actually use this as a liquid eyeshadow and I fell in love with it because it made my eyes look a really pretty grey, rusty blue color!

This product can be found on the NYX website for $7.50 or possibly in stores at places like Target or Walmart!

All of these products are super amazing and much like other bags I have received. I fully intend to buy certain products if they run out, which is sort of the point you know?

It was funny and loud—which may have caused a little headache—and chill too. You all had a good time. But after a few rounds you all decided to chill since Sasha—a light weight—had one too many drinks for herself. So she’d went up to your room to sleep. Whilst Connie, Mikasa, Eren, Armin, and Jean were all laid out on bean bag chairs on their phones or talking. You were all in your basement, the song redbone by Childish Gambino playing, set to a medium volume on the speaker at the back.

Ony listened to you talk, listened to you sound a little loopy as you talked to him about a dream you had of him.

Truth be told, Ony loved when you told him about your dreams, or spoke to him about just anything. Your voice was so smooth and sexy on the regular, but when you were like this, it was just goofy and sounded loopy as hell, and he found it funny and cute. But at some times—like now—he could rarely really ever focus on what you were saying, since he always found himself stuck admiring your facial features and body and how good you looked. You were just too sexy, and he could always gas himself up about how bagged himself the baddest woman in his eyes.

“You listening?” Your voice was low and interrupted by a small hiccup after drinking a few sips of a cup of soda sitting on the small round table in front of you both. His thoughts were interrupted by that, bringing him back to reality.

When he focused back onto your words and was able to give your entire being a final analyzation, he heard the best part of redbone begin to play, making the moment even better for him.

Ony nodded at your question before you moaned in satisfaction as to what your ears were hearing right now, standing to start dancing to your favorite part of the song, vocalizing with it under your breath. As you got up, so did Mikasa and Connie, all of you vibing out to the music and singing along with each other. Ony couldn’t do anything but sit back and watch you enjoy yourself and feel good.

Hello my love, I am very humbly wondering if you have any suggestions for media (podcasts? Articles? Sky written advice?) that talks about skincare (or just general health) stuff so that I can be as informed as you. Of course not asking for you to educate me any more than your previous post did that’s totally not your responsibility, there’s just so much out there for health and skincare stuff that I get lost and am not sure what to take as fact or just something that someone’s trying to sell you on so if you have any favorite outlets I suppose I’d love to hear them! Also feel free to completely disregard this 💜

Oh hai! I don't mind at all, though I don't really have just one resource. Most information has been compiled over the years from so many sources and trial and error.

Finding out I can't use most stuff with hyaluronic acid in it was not fun and very puffy, haha do spot tests on new things. And when I complained about body acne as a teen, my family doctor asked how often I washed my sheets, and being a teenager it had been uuuuhhhhh, A WHILE. Lo and behold better habits = less painy pimples on my thighs.

I will say Sawbones is one of my best resources overall for what is and isn't modern snake oil! For example, I'm pretty sure they're where I learned that any topical-use-only lotion that claims to contain collagen is a scam, as the collagen molecule is too large to be absorbed into the skin. Syd isn't a dermatologist but a family doctor sure as heck knows when a "skin toxin cleanse" is just tea that makes you poop.

Learning to read user product reviews discerningly helps too, for all things, not just skincare, obviously. But with personal products, you especially want to deduce how LONG someone used a product before reviewing, good or bad. At my job I would have women calling upset that an eye cream wasn't diminishing their dark circles...after using it for a week. In my experience, products that ACTUALLY do the various things they claim take around a month to see noticeable results. Those are the reviews you look for: how long they used it, how well they seem to have read the product description and if they followed the instructions.

Also I had an Ipsy subscription for quite a few years, and I curated my bags to mostly be skincare products. So every month for $10 (now $13 I believe) I was getting a bag of samplers with about a month's worth of product in the jars and tubes, as well as fun masks. I paid attention to which brands and their ingredients I liked best and worked for me. They also include a lot of Korean beauty brands which truly do tend to have some fantastic natural ingredients. If the actual brand was too expensive for my budget, I'd seek out those same ingredients in more affordable ones! Some things stayed very worth it, though - I only use the Korean brand Purlisse bb cream for my makeup, for example, as it's so light and has a good SPF AND it's my very hard to match shade of pale, and that's worth it to me.

So not a ton, really just listening and retaining, doing a little ingredient homework when I REALLY am pleased with a product, and trying stuff out!
