I was using my phone on the street, and i slide it in my pocket, and apparently in the next 3 minutes it decided to suicide because the next time i take it out its screen just straight up not work anymore, which is a huge problem because i cant log in to my phone and also cant save any data out despite looking through all solutions

Got a new phone (because the original phone was old enough anyways), try to see what i can salvage, and in the end i think i lost like half a year of photos because i somehow just forgot to backup that part of data. Funnily enough the fanarts i gathered from social medias are all intact, like basically all of them. Tens of thousands of fanart from years back to yesterday. Sure got my priorities right, huh?

Anyways ive been dealing with this mess today. Tbh the next time i pick up my pen i probably already forget how to draw lol. Why have i been dragging about fanart stuff so much lately.

controversial take but i don't think genai is the antichrist or whatever, it's just being horribly pushed as something it's not. as a tuneable randomness generator, it actually has uses for generating shit like placeholders, drafting emails, etc.

it's when you come to expect thought/intentionality/a final product that it all blows up and is a colossal mess.

i haven't played minecraft in years, but with the armadillo winning the vote, i think about how wolves don't really have much going on in terms of their utility. like anytime i tame a wolf, i end up just kinda keeping them sitting at home.

i think if mojang really does feel like wolves are deserving of armour, with the addition of armadillos, they really need to update wolves to be more useful as companion mobs, because personally... i never feel the urge to bring a wolf with me when im going out to do things, especially if it involves combat.

like, what do dogs do best? fetching stuff and digging, right? like i wish that i could just mill about with a wolf and they track a scent or something and start digging into the dirt and then proceed to bring you that item. like it could range from rarely digging up iron nuggets to digging up vegetables or whatever, yknow. combine the fetching stuff with combat and you wouldn't have to manually pick up stray arrows or items from mobs your wolf kills.

the only other thing i wish you could do with wolves is automate their health in some way, like give more utility to the bowl item so you can place it down for them to eat from so you don't have to constantly manage their health by looking at their tail. just minor quality of life stuff i guess.

idk, that's just my thoughts. i do like wolves in minecraft, they just feel rather lacking with the way some new mobs have so much going on, like the sniffer and allay and so on.

I know these posts mean nothing but genuinely if you don't see the difference between art and generative AI I don't think we could have any ideology in common so you probably shouldn't follow me. I'd be happy to have a conversation about it, but all I've encountered are people who prioritize instant gratification above any understanding of the value of art and honestly. Work in general. Feel like a million miles away idealogically, and I don't know if a conversation would even help us understand each other at all. So I'm going to take the idea a step even further.

If you see absolutely no value in industriousness and you "don't dream of labor" youve got the same vibe as an ai bro who talk about eliminating meaningless work that requires skill and training ( like art ) and we can automate it to live an easier more leisure filled life. So. Like. please leave because the things that are worth doing are fucking hard sometimes. Learning skills is hard. Yes. But at some point you've got to realize that the idea that you have intrinsic worth and value exactly as you are right now & the idea that you need to strive to improve yourself and not give in to atrophy and find a place to put your energy that makes you grow and improve are NOT opposing ideas. they go hand in hand. and you will not lead a fulfilling life until you have both. I'm ready to tear my hair out, I want to comfortably use Docs without staring into a flashbang, can someone recommend a functional dark mode for using google docs? All the extensions I've looked at just darken the page and makes the text unreadable so then the whole document has to be edited to change the font (pain in the ass) and/or does not function on the google docs selection page, like the list of my documents is still fuck off bright so it is irritating to move between documents
