One thing I struggle with is remembering how much I care or don't care about things, which when you say it like that sounds like a very weird thing to not remember.

It's like this: you start reading a book because one specific aspect of it made you curious, but then you realise the style of the prose is not to your taste. Do you skim until you reach the interesting scene? Do you stop reading altogether? Do you keep reading with increasing annoyance? How big was that initial curiosity and how much weight does it have now that you know you don't like the style?

I start watching a show, I'm very lukewarm about it. Do I keep going or do I skip to the second season where the actor I'm actually interested in shows up? How much do I care about having to piece together bits of plot if I skip half the season?

And so on. It's hard to tell sometimes.

#currently convincing myself I don't want to watch bree's brother for 6 hours straight #I watched him the first couple days because nobody had new game content #but I don't care for glitch finding or running fast so now it's just watching Same Bits Of Game Repeatedly #and that's not what I care about #no brain we don't care that someone went two minutes faster than him #we don't care about the records remember #we care about game pretty and we care about lore and we don't find that here now #is this fomo I think it might be

not to personal post but the fact that we are like ~280 miles (450.6 km) away from the epicenter of the earthquake and buildings shook around here is insane

people I know in CT and NY felt it shake their buildings and family in NYC felt it too

at this point I’m like yeah this might as well happen 🤦🏼‍♀️ it really do feel like end times sometimes

#we NEVER get earthquakes in vt or at least not anything noticeable #kinda feeling fomo that people two minutes down the road felt it shake their building but I didn’t feel anything #I think it was a 4.7 or 4.8 magnitude if anyone is curious #jackie talks #mine #not leverage #literally we NEVER feel these I’ve lived in the northeast my whole life and this shit is HIGHLY unusual #might delete later

#sigh bc on one hand theo is Really Intriguing To Me #and food puns??? fuck yeah #then on the other considerably larger hand #ive heard So Much about how Emotionally Taxing that season is. im p sure there was huge char discourse stuff amongst the fans as it aired #and girl imma be honest that shit sounds Stressful!#full disclosure it does not sound like something im looking for in my media consumption!#but also the fomo & the completionism (only IH szn i havent seen yet) and it does sound in a lot of ways like a genuinely compelling watch!#like it’s a lot of people’s favorite! the fact that it was such devastating watch implies that it resonated with viewers!#i think the only ih part/campaign i see talked abt as much as this one’s is f*h and arguably i might see less f*h posts #and i hear the lore is rlly good and the battle sets are fuckin awesome #like. it sounds like great content.#ive kind of been operating under the premise that i wont watch ac*oc ever and while Evidently i’m not unmovable on this concept #ive been sort of leaning very heavily that way since ive gotten drop*out #i backwatched all the ih campaigns in order and intentionally skipped it #ive been lightly back and forth on watching it bc again there are intriguing factors #but ultimately every time i consider it i end up deciding no it’s not worth it or at least no not today #however again the completionism and the fomo and also t*rw happening and general exposure over time to random tumblr posts w/ no context #but also it’s like. do i WANT to have context? do i want to have takes on this shit? do i want to submit myself to finally Knowing #at the cost of Also having very serious feelings on the very serious characters?
