thinking about reader and your pro athlete boyfriend, except the two of you have to be long distance for a bit since he’s traveling far to compete. he’s in the communal training room, where all the competing teams are working out and he’s going hard on the treadmill; he has earphones in and can’t hear much of what’s happening outside, so he doesn’t hear your exclamation. however, he thinks he spots someone that looks like you from the corner of his eye and he misses you so much that he decides to do a double take, only to realize that it is you. he’s so excited that he breaks out into a smile but also loses focuses so he practically flies off the treadmill. in front of his teammates and his competition. but he’s still a grinning mess on the floor as he jumps back up to sprint towards you, full speed.

the isagi spectrum is so you get smiley boy next door who is undeniably plain outside but then boom turns out he likes totoro and has a cute taste and is c u t e and has a smile so bright i fell in love within two smiles. t w o. and silly weesagee. and then the inside aka the one that passionate, kinda twisted (it's not kinda. he is.), who works hard and do everything he can to achieve his dream. competitive as hell too.

anyway. some of that meta:

→ nagi and reo 🔁 raúl and guti highlights raúl | guti look. I respect and see the nagi/bergkamp vision, it's accurate in several aspects. but nagireo are a package deal. and an all time GOAT who came part and parcel with another player is los blancos legacy player and la liga legend raúl, whose goal stats rank 3rd highest in real history, 6th highest in la liga history, and whose football iq, vision & creativity and near-divinely blessed first touch made him one of the best to ever play the game (this is a good writeup) his ride-or-die, guti, may have been spotty at best (downright messy at worst) but tbf that's also why he works so well as inspiration for reo. when he was good, he was incredible; the vision and creativity he could produce was unrivalled when he was on it. and that was ninety nine percent in tandem with raúl (who made everyone better just by proxy) note that this does not take into account nagi's lazy genius-characterization; raúl wore the armband for RM for 11 years for a reason. eh. we're early in canon, or something
