Ours
Ishan doesn't remember the last time he was this upset. He's striding across the hallway to the hotel room he's been alloted. To share.
It's late at night, well past the hours of deep midnight. There's no one in the dimly lit corridor— the older teammates had already retired to their rooms while the youngsters stayed for the afterparty.
"You could have bloody well told me she'd be there!" He snaps at Shubhman. His best friend, the friend that Ishan has been head over heels for over five years, sighs and looks down. Shubhman, who shares the room with Ishan. "No. You don't get to be a fucking puppy."
"Ishan, dude, I didn't know! I just posted a snap of the place, how was I supposed to know she'd be there? Kammo said she declined the invitation, I trusted him!"
Shubhman moves to remove his suit jacket as Ishan pushes the door open. Ishan uses his movements as a distraction, lest he stare at the way Shubhman's light blue silk shirt clings to him. It's one he's shared with Shubhman for so long that now either of them remembers who it originally belonged to.
(Lies.
Ishan remembers buying it for Shubhman and then joking around about how he has right on it.
He remembers when Shubhman invited him to Shahneel Didi's birthday and gave him the shirt with a smile and an order to wear it.
He had a cold shower before changing.)
He brings himself back to reality when Shubhman locks the room almost absentmindedly and removes his shoes, all the while focusing on Ishan as if Ishan is the centre of his universe.
His cheeks are red and Ishan doesn't know if it's anger or embarrassment. "I swear, Ishan, why do you even care? I don't give a fuck whether she shows face or not!"
Ishan cares because she had been flirting with Shubhman for all evening and that motherfucking idiot Shubhman did not even realise what she was doing. Ishan cares because sees her arm wrapped around his bicep somehow burned Ishan's skin. Ishan cares because she held tightly to Shubhman even when he tried to move away. Ishan cares about his personal space and she fucking doesn't. Ishan just cares.
In a clearly failed attempt to calm down himself, Ishan removes the watch and bracelets on his wrists— all but the one Shubhman made for him. While he's at it, he also removes the leather jacket he was wearing, making sure to not let the bracelet catch in the soft lining of the jacket.
"Ishan? Bloody say something!"
Ishan glares at him. "You want me to say something?" He throws down the jacket on the floor, uncaring for it. He takes a step towards Shubhman. "She's using you for clout. She's using you for fame. And you know it. You know it and you go along with it any-fucking-way as if you have no self respect! You go and sit with her and then I'm left alone for the rest of the night! I'm sorry if my anger inconveniences you!"
By the time he stops, he's breathing hard and his eyes and throat are burning. I love you, he wants to say. I love, love, love you.
Shubhman softens. "You should have told me."
Ishan laughs in his face, a bitter sound. "Told you? Boy, you'd not even be aware I was beside you!"
Shubhman tenses. "Impossible. I'm always aware of you, Ishan. I'm—"
"Aware?" Ishan snaps, on a roll now. "You didn't even look at me the whole goddamn time!"
And before he can continue his tirade, Shubhman narrows his eyes. "Move back, Ishan."
"Oh, so now you've a problem with me sharing your personal space? You can't disagree with her but you tell me to move fucking back?" Ishan doesn't move back. He's stubborn as a mule, especially when he's mad.
Shubhman's jaw flexes. "Move back before I lose the little control I have, Ishan." Ishan doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. "Before I lose my control and kiss you, right now, shamelessly, without any regret, move fucking back, Ishan."
Ishan freezes all over. Shubhman seems to have realised what he said and his eyes widen and he looks panicked for a moment before taking a fortifying breath. He looks at Ishan like he could devour him.
Ishan would let him.
He moves a step closer, close enough that he can feel Shubhman's breath on his skin. Close enough that if he swayed, he'd faceplant in Shubhman's chest.
"Then lose your control before I do, Shubh."
Shubhman's eyes widen for a moment and Ishan thinks, this is it, he must have been—
He doesn't have the time to complete the thought. Shubhman is kissing him and all coherent thoughts are evaporated in his head. Oh god. Oh fucking god. Shubhman is kissing him. His hands are wrapping around Ishan and pulling him in.
It takes a moment before Ishan realises that he's kissing Shubhman.
Oh fuck. He's kissing Shubhman. He's kissing the boy he loves. He's kissing his best friend.
The thought makes him pause and pull away. They're both breathing hard and Shubhman's eyes are dark as he looks at Ishan with unashamed want. Ishan wants to kneel with the weight of want he feels from Shubhman.
"Ish." Shubhman breathes and rests his forehead against Ishan's. Ishan closes his eyes and lets him feel the weight of Shubhman's head, relaxing. "Fuck, you're everything."
A blush must had crawled up his ears. Ishan looks down. "Shubh, we need to talk."
Shubhman hums but doesn't remove his hands from Ishan. "We need to talk." Ishan says again, but he can't hide his giddy smile.
"And I'm not stopping us. Let's talk."
Stubborn mule, Ishan thinks fondly. He sobers up quickly as he hesitantly speaks. "I love you, Shubh. I've loved you as a best friend for as long as I've known you and I've loved you as something completely different for years now. This...this may not mean to you what it does to me and I don't even ask anything of you. I just want you to tell me what you feel. I'm not ruining our friendship over a kiss. I need to know what you feeling. Or we can forget this ever happened and—"
He can't speak more. He can't. Of course, if Shubhman wants, Ishan will forever continue to pretend that he feels nothing but platonic love for him and he will pretend to forget to have ever felt Shubhman kiss him. He will pretend to forget the possessive hold Shubhman still has on him and he'll live. He'll be miserable but he'll live.
Shubhman nods. His hands are still resting on Ishan's hips. "I don't particularly think I love you in a romantic sense, yet." Ishan's world shatters and he breathes out as if someone punched the air out of his chest. "But, I still fancy you. You're not some experimental adventure. The thought of crying without your shoulder, the thought of waking up without you, the thought of having anything less than what we have right now makes me want to choke. You're not a passing fancy, Ish. And I might say that I'm not completely romantically in love with you right now, but I know that I'm half way over already. The thought of anyone but you in my arms makes me want to scream."
Ishan takes a shuddering breath. It's now or never. "Would you like to go on a date with me?"
Shubhman doesn't speak anything for a moment and Ishan looks up at him searchingly only to see him grinning like a loon. "Of course, I'll go on a date with you! I've been meaning to watch this new movie—"
"No! No hostile takeover on my date, I assure you!" The response is almost instinct by now. Ishan knows Shubhman and how well he uses his puppy eyes to take over the hangout activities and do what he wants.
"Your?" He raises an eyebrow and pulls Ishan towards himself with a jerk. He barely stops himself from crashing his nose on Shubhman's chest as Shubhman continues, very amused."You mean, our?"
It makes him incredibly giddy. He nods. "Our."

MI dominate DC to go top of the table!
Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals
Game Analysis and Post Match Thoughts
Location: Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Tumblr media
The 27th game of IPL 2020 was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai and Delhi are currently 7 games into their respective campaigns. Delhi were above Mumbai before the game thanks to a sensational start. Mumbai went on to win the game and maintained their winning streak since their loss to RCB.
Tumblr media
This is the latest IPL table where you can view your teams current league standing!
Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat first. DC openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw came out first. Prithvi Shaw went out early after hitting a lucky boundry to Trent Boult, his former DC teammate last season. Next came in the experienced Ajinkya Rahane who also hit some boundaries but got dismissed by Krunal Pandya googly which went straight to the pad and resulting in an lbw. After Rahane came in the skipper, Shreyas Iyer who played very well along with Shikhar Dhawan. They were the best batting pair in Delhi’s innings until Shreyas Iyer got out by Krunal Pandya after mis-timing a shot hitting it straight to the hands of Trent Boult. Next came DC’s strongest and biggest man, Marcus Stoinis who hit Trent Boult for 3 boundaries. You would expect Stoinis to stay and do more damage until the end of the innings but that did not happen. Stoinis tried hit Rahul Chahar’s ball fvor a four but there was a fielder, Suryakumar Yadav who made terrible mis-field which made Stoinis want to take the second run, Shikhar Dhawan did not agree and Stoinis tried going back to his crease but it was too late, he was run out by Suryakumar Yadav. Next came Alex Carrey the man in for Rishabh Pant as a wicketkeeper batsman was the last to come out and hit a couple of boundaries with Dhawan and taking DC to a total score of 162-5. MI needed a strong start to win this game and things were not looking good early on as Rabada bowled the first over in which MI did not even hit a single boundary. However since the first over, de Kock’s form picked up and he hit Ashwin for a couple of boundaries and a six. Rohit Sharma tried following his fellow opener but failed to hit the ball over the rope and the ball landed in Rabada’s hands. Next came Suryakumar Yadav who put up a great partnership with de Kock. QDK registered his second half century of this season and Suryakumar got going after that. Once de Kock was back on strike, he mis-timed a hit from Ashwin and got out. Next came Ishan Kishan, he and Suryakumar made batting look so easy and took Mumbai closer and closer to winning the game. Suryakumar even got his second half century of the season in the process. He too, got out after hitting a ball in the air and getting caught. Hardik Pandya, the birthday boy was next and shockingly got out for a duck (0 runs) after a thick edge to Alex Carrey. Kishan then tried going for the win in style by hitting sixes and fours. In the first shout against Rabada, he got very lucky as a catch was dropped and went over for six but the next ball he was not so lucky as he got dismissed to a brilliant catch by Axar Patel. Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard were the only good batsmen left and were quiet in the second last over bowled by Nort Je only scoring about 3 runs. In the last over MI needed 7 of 6 balls and Stoinis was bowling it. Krunal got the over underway by hitting a four. The next ball he took a single getting Pollard on strike. Pollard hit the ball to backward slip who easily could have got a run out but dropped the ball before throwing it which could have lost Delhi the game. MI now just needed 3 runs off 1 ball with Krunal on strike, Krunal Pandya hit the winning runs as the ball raced to the boundary and Mumbai maintained their winning streak and went top of the table.
I honestly expected Mumbai Indians to run away with an easy victory when Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan were batting but we just took the situation for granted and relied on the last two good batting options we had. Overall I am glad with the result and MI put in a solid performance with the bat and ball. Currently sitting at the top of the table are the Mumbai Indians after this result, DC are on the same points but have a lower net run rate than MI and therefore sit second. The big question is, can these two teams meet in the final? I guess we will have to wait and see. The next Mumbai Indians game is against KKR in Abu Dhabi this friday. In my opinion, if MI can win the next fixture against KKR and at least 2 more games in our final 4 they can be guaranteed a finish in the top 4. Do you think MI can finish top of the table this season? Let me know in the comments section!

India vs Sri Lanka: I was determined to hit the first ball for six, says Ishan Kishan | Cricket News
Tumblr media
COLOMBO: Before going out to bat in his debut ODI against Sri Lanka, young Ishan Kishan had announced in the dressing room that he would hit the first ball for a six, irrespective of the bowler and where the ball would be pitched. And he did what he had promised by hitting a six off Dhananjaya De Silva, the home team's off-spinner. Kishan, who celebrated his 23rd birthday with a smashing 42-ball-59 told teammate Yuzvendra Chahal on bcci.tv that he had a fair idea that the surface was not providing enough assistance to the slow bowlers. Chahal TV returns - Ishan Kishan reveals the secret behind his first ball SIX and more 👌 👌Some fun & cricket talk… https://t.co/ajoro9p7MO — BCCI (@BCCI) 1626667200000 "I kept (wickets) for 50 overs and understood that the track didn't have much help for the spinners. So I was determined that wherever the bowler pitches, I would hit him for a six. I had told that to everyone in the dressing room before going out to bat," Kishan said. When asked why he was looking to hit every ball out of sight during the initial phase, the Jharkhand keeper-batter said that it was the confidence that he had gained while batting in the nets in the run-up to the series. "Practice is very important and I was in good touch during the net sessions. The pitch on which we practised, was also of similar nature. So since I was connecting well, I didn't have to do anything different. Just execute it in a match situation. No change in game-plan. If I have a ball in my radar, I will hit it," Kishan said. He also said that getting the India cap from skipper Shikhar Dhawan indeed was a special moment. "There can't be a prouder moment than receiving your India cap. I was cherishing it and all my friends in the team also wanted that I get the cap. "It was a special feeling when my teammates shook hands. Also you know your family is also watching and it's a big occasion for them," Kishan said. Source link Read the full article

Sri Lanka No Match For India
1st ODI - Sri Lanka vs India - Khettarama Stadium (Colombo)
Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan proved too much for Sri Lanka, as India won the first ODI reaching a 263 target in just 36.4 overs after the duo hammered the bowlers in an exhibition of shot-making at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
Tumblr media
Shaw set the ball rolling as he cracked 43 in only 24 balls with nine scintillating fours, after which Kishan, the 23 year old birthday boy who made his ODI debut, peppered 59 off 42 balls with eight fours and two sixes as India scored 89 runs in the first 10 overs.
Kishan had a memorable first ODI appearance, as he clouted the first ball he faced from spinner Dhananjaya de Silva for six and square cut the next ball to the cover boundary.
Incidentally Ishan Kishan's 50 made off 33 balls is only the second fastest fifty scored by a debutante. The record is currently held by his team mate Krunal Pandya who got to the target off 26 balls.
At the other end Shikhar Dhawan could only watch the proceedings and came in handy to finish off the contest with an unbeaten 86 from 95 balls after he also saw the exit of Manish Pandey for 26.
Sri Lanka got off to a worthy start picking 49 runs for the first wicket through openers Avishka Fernando (33) and Minod Bhanuka (27) and after being 85 for 1, lost their way until top scorer Chamika Karunaratne with an unbeaten 43 and Dushmantha Chameera (13) picked up 32 runs in the last two overs, to take their side to 262 for 9 in 50 overs.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa who also made his debut in this ODI format, batted with relative ease and as if he was playing in a T20 game. He opened his account with a six and with his score on 24 from 22 balls which included two fours and two sixes, hit a loose wide delivery from spinner Kuldeep Yadav to be caught by Dhawan who got under the high ball after running backwards at mid-on.
It was a totally uncalled for shot, especially since it was the first ball after the drinks break. But what it did was open the door for India to press forward from there onwards and take full control of proceedings. The other opener, Minod Bhanuka followed Rajapaksa back to the pavilion in the same over, caught at first slip by Prithvi Shaw.
The experienced middle order batsman Dhananjaya de Silva also threw his wicket away early in the 25th over caught at long off for just 14, after taking on Krunal Pandya.
Dasun Shanaka offered some resistance hitting 39 with a six and two fours, while Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva got too adventurous with so many overs remaining and hit a ball from Deepak Chahar into the hands of Dhawan at mid-wicket for 8.
The Indian bowlers bowled disciplined spells throughout in containing the batsmen, as they went on to record 158 dot balls in the Sri Lankan innings.
Tumblr media
Scores: Sri Lanka 262 for 9 in 50 (Avishka Fernando 33, Charith Asalanka 38, Dasun Shanaka 39, Chamika Karunaratne 43 not out, Deepak Chahar 2 for 37) India 263 for 3 in 36.4 (Prithvi Shaw 43, Shikhar Dhawan 86 not out, Ishan Kishan 59)

Dhawan, Kishan, Shaw lead Sri Lanka rout after Kuldeep, Chahal shine
India 263 for 3 (Dhawan 86*, Kishan 59, Shaw 43) beat Sri Lanka 262 for 9 (Karunaratne 43*, Shanaka 39, Kuldeep 2-48, Chahal 2-52) by seven wicketsPrithvi Shaw played gloriously through the offside, debutantIshan Kishan lit up the stadium with a thumping fifty on his birthday, and Shikhar Dhawan saw the chase through from start to finish, as India's second string served Sri Lanka a walloping first up. Chasing the hosts' half-decent (but far from daunting) 262 for 9, India galloped home with 80 balls and seven wickets remaining. Long passages in their innings were more a celebration of their batting depth and fearlessness than a serious contest; Sri Lanka's bowlers were unable to contain them no matter which field or angle of attack they employed. คาสิโนออนไลน์
