Julian's always curious when I pray the rosary at night and she's pretty good about not biting the beads, but tonight I was praying with the wooden one my brother made me and oh my goodness she was really struggling to hold herself back, especially with the bone cross 😂 the way she looks at it with her big blue eyes and how she gently reaches out for it with her tiny white paw is really cute 🥺🥰

okay deeply unpopular opinion time. dogs. are gross. frankly it's unhinged that in our society it's normal to have an animal that for no reason runs around your house, gets hair on everything, smells bad, throws up on the floor, jumps on people, massively restricts the flexibility of your schedule, and goes to the bathroom in your yard which you then have to PICK UP with gloves and baggies. dogs are incredible animals that can be very smart and endearing but they need to have jobs, not just exist in your 500sq ft apartment to bark at and jump on your guests. Nol’s Weird Reactions to Shinae’s Weird Compliments

I needed to take a small break from all the heavy discussions and decided to go round up all the little moments I could remember of Shinae paying Nol an unexpected - and often seemingly weird lol - compliment and Nol’s very puzzled reactions lmao because it always makes me laugh. There’s something about his “um what” that always makes me laugh

Not a weird compliment (hence it being an honorable mention) but it still came by surprise and left them both feeling awkward

Creature with a face like stormclouds. It is no human but walks amongst the many preying upon those who foolishly believe themselves to be predators. Those humans soon learn better, at least those who do manage to survive, their blood spilling in the wake of the Rorschach's fury. They think hiding behind thick walls will make it go away but we know better, that it will simply find other ways to catch them instead because it is a true predator, not cowering prey like they are. Normally competition would not be tolerated but Rorschach is a presence we will accept. We understand each other. We are the same, solo hunters in a city full of prey.

In another time, another life perhaps, Kirk could see himself in the homeless man's shoes. It didn't take much for one's life to turn upside down, to get into things that might have been better off being left alone but it's hard not to feel some sort of sympathy towards the older man. People brushed past him quickly as though he did not exist, keeping their distance but to those who cared to look closer, it was plain to see life had not been kind to the redhead. Had he always lived in Gotham? Kirk was unsure. He often visited the park, during the day even to feed the birds when his research was getting too much to handle and saw many people but never exactly talked to anybody; Gotham was a big city after all and wasn't always the friendliest either. The man didn't look so friendly either, but it was foolish to judge him soley from appearance. Plenty of people looked just fine, incredibly handsome or beautiful only to commit the most heinous acts whenever the sun went down. He should know, he read the paper everyday, with something terrible going on or having been prevented by Batman. Perhaps he should go over and say hello, to talk to the mysterious redhead and find out what he meant with his sign. He might have been just as lonely as Kirk felt, having one less person in his life nowadays.

doing my laundry in the new place and i gotta say it makes me feel at home. i missed doing like.. loads of laundry in a lil place u go to, i genuinely like it. its nice to have a lil walk there and back at nighttime. not too far from my building but enough that i get a perfect lil walk outta it. also i noticed there's a big roomy trashcan in there so i brought all the garbage i currently got in a lil bag and tossed it in there just cause i was headed there anyways and had a half hour to burn waiting for them to finish washing, and its waaaaaaay closer than the ONE dumpster they have for all these units. i wonder if i make this a little ritual when im doing my laundry how long i can keep doing this until i get a finger waggled at me from the front office

Finally figured out a good way to make non-circular shaped loafs without having a banneton or a specifically shaped proving basket (round loafs can of course just be proved in any old mixing bowl with a liner of some kind). It's an aluminum foil dispenser box and a parchment paper dispenser box, with some parchment paper on top for the dough to rest on, and something heavy (in this case, lifting weights) to stop them from sliding as the dough tries to expand outwards. It does need to have some structural integrity of its own or itll just slowly pour out the sides, but i did get a pretty nice loaf out of it. Might try a baguette next time.
