I highly recommend the Muzzle Up Project! They were suggested to me for Aengus when I took him in to his current vet. It's a fantastic resource for the process of muzzle training, including videos!!

I did a fair bit of shopping around for what kind of muzzle would be best for Aengus, so make sure you look into potential breed-specific needs (like how Greyhounds need a specialized kind of collar because of the shape of their necks), but I picked him up a Baskerville, which is one of the most common muzzles. It's easy to clean peanut butter off of while still being sturdy and lightweight. Most importantly: it doesn't totally break the bank.

I've got Aengus an "Ignore Me; I'm Scared" vest from this Etsy shop, but they have a number of options that you can get beyond that if that doesn't work for your pup. In addition, I also grabbed him a leash-wrap that says "Needs Space" -- my only gripe about this is that the one I have doesn't flip the text on both sides so it's only easily read from one side, but definitely still something I'd suggest as an additional flag.

Desensitization can also help, if you have the ability to sort of take them out into an area where there are other dogs and people, while keeping them separated, and giving LOTS of treats for good behavior.

Reactive dogs are a lot of work, and being disabled while trying to deal with it is exhausting, no matter how much we love our pets. Massive solidarity, friend. <3

More fleshing out of the blackmarket vs random pal merchants, they're basically exactly the same so introducing more differences would be great, maybe all the pals you buy from the blackmarket are more likely to have lower sanity or injuries. Thanks for the interest. I'd say that it entirely depends on what kind of movies you want to do or what stories you'd like to tell. I believe the worst thing you can do is working with resources and materials that you know you won't work for you, but people still recommend it.

Personally, I find MY INSPIRATION in music videos and music itself, most of the time. Like, two of my big movie projects originated from songs I heard that lead to characters who then inspired me to write their stories and make two shortfilms. And those characters are Benji and Joe from this blog here. My upcoming Bachelor's movie is also rooted in several songs and music videos that gave birth to the protagonist whom I used to write a while ago on here, too.

AS FOR WRITING, we get a lot of literature recommended when it comes to Screenplay Writing, but I find a lot of them kinda pretentious and they don't help me with my approach. What I still think should be a standard reference though is STORY by Robert McKee. It doesn't force the author's own opinion on the reader like others and gives you clear examples why some stories / movies work better than others based on techniques and facts, what could be the issue and how to fix it. It's less a book to read and more of a reference book, though. But I always found it very helpful.

Another thing I personally turn to has always been a book from Hirohisa Tanaka's HOW TO DRAW MANGA's series. It mainly focuses on teaching you some techniques and tricks how to develop interesting and surprising stories, or how you can "stay in creative shape". Technically, it doesn't have something to do with movies at first sight, but it works for me and it's fun. You should always consider material outside of your bubble.

WHEN IT COMES TO VIDEOS and such we actually do have our own huge digital encyclopedia of video tutorials made by the staff and students, courses, interviews and such that are only accessible for us. So I couldn't help you out with these, but as I said before -- turn to materials that benefit your story.

But I can warmly recommend one vid that my Screenplay teacher showed us and it was a simple but huge game changer for my stories: Writing Advice from Matt Stone & Trey Parker. I've never seen this put better into action than in Riot Games' ARCANE series, I would've never noticed if my teacher hadn't shown me this video.

Outside of my film school I watch A TON OF VIDEO ANALYSES of series and movies that I love so I can compare them with my own views and understand how they work. And they dont have to be exclusively from professionals and fellow filmmakers bc lbr, you just have to look at letterboxd reviews and you know we're a totally different kind of breed than your everyday movie-lover. It's also good to just watch reviews of regular people and see how their opinion differs from professionals.

So, in my case I watch a lot of videos about visual comedy in the style of Edgar Wright, how he uses Sound Design (a highly underappreciated department) and so on. And I also bother with materials covering these topics:

Morally Ambiguous Characters (I need writing-heavy resources)

Bizarre but endearing Dialogues (Watching movies that have this; researching in my book how to write conversations; watching vids on how to NOT write a dialogue)

How to do Music Videos (Watching music videos from the 90ies and early 2000s bc that's what I am going for; analyzing how music videos work, what it tells you about the song etc.)

Symbolysm & Color Dramaturgy (basically just research of the meaning behind each one, how to give the audience information, how to evoke emotions in the audience... and also watching movies where it's very clear to tell - like Crimson Peak and the like, if you're inexperienced)

That was a lot of text now, sorry about that. I'm not sure if you find any of this helpful, but I guess the general thing I can tell you is to directly look for materials and sources that speak to you and are specifically for you. The things that work for me might not work for you and vice versa.

I personally don't find any use in bothering with excercises and materials that only show me how much I don't want to incorporate them in my own work.

when he calls, he doesn't give much detail besides "come to my house" and hangs up, but you still get dressed and all that and show up

you're greeting with a damn near euphoric scent as you step through the door, the house all cleaned up and the scent of your favorite candles wafting through the area in a muted but noticeably pleasant way

the living room has some stuff moved around so it can all centric around a table in the middle, which has two containers for takeout and candles set up in the middle to face the tv

he kind of panicked and didn't know what to do, so he settled for a nice home date!! it isn't that much unlike your usual hangouts, but it ends up devolving into uh,,, a little more than that. to put it simply

its one of the few times that he's not entirely grateful for your observational skills, his eyes going downcast as he murmurs out an apology for being gross, something along the lines of "uh- sorry that was... weird" spoken just under his breath

you're quiet as you watch him, your own anxiety and muted arousal making you flit your eyes over to him for a split second

the next words that come out of your mouth almost don't sound like your own, your own voiced thoughts catching you off guard

such a simple phrase, but it's enough to make the both of you freeze in spot for a fraction of a second

it seems to happen before you even process it, his mouth on yours and the entanglement of limbs unravelling only to wrap up in one another in a chaotic mess of teeth against flesh and eager hands working to undo one another's clothes

that need, that pent up yearning, all of your want bursting forth to create a messy albeit much needed rough fuck after a long time of keeping your desires to yourselves

eddie is a lot softer than one would expect considering his reputation, but the size difference between you is still something he makes a point to emphasize

I hope this is an okay question to ask, you seem really open about your care and you clearly adore your animals. I don't mean this in a bad way at all, I'm just curious because I've never heard of people keeping chickens indoors permanently.

Is it really humane to keep them inside? I always thought that they needed to be outside for their own physical and mental wellbeing, so that they can dustbathe, forage, etc. Is it safe for them to wear diapers all day or do you take them off sometimes? It doesn't damage their feathers or cause them discomfort/medical problems from having that area covered for so long?

Basically yes its ethical to keeps chickens indoors as long as you provide enrichment and take care of all its needs. In fact alot of chickens can thrive better indoors.

Some, in fact a lot of chickens live their whole life in their coop and run and never free range, that doesnt mean they are being mistreated either. They are just confined birds and different breeds can handle confinement differently.

Some breeds of chickens have even been developed to be housed indoors and/or under careful human care such as Silkies, Sultans, and the Onagadori to name just a few. Not all chickens are built for surviving unsupervised free ranging and being exposed to pathogens and predators just like not all chickens can enjoy being a house chicken.

Free ranging can be actively dangerous to your birds so not every flock can do it.

When you have an indoor or confined chickens its very easy to provide enrichment and outlets for their instincts to forage and dustbathe. I use pine pelleted bedding which my birds really enjoy taking dust baths in and scratching around in. Tossing some dried mealworms and some grains into the bedding or another foraging location can provide lots of entertainment for your birds. Just like you can offer hanging treat toys, balls, and puzzles as well to help them work their brains. Offering greens is as simple as growing your own or buying some for them.

As for diapers its important to change them and keep the bird hygienic. You wouldnt let a baby walk around with a full wet diaper and you shouldnt let a chicken either if you did the chicken could experience the same issues a baby could like diaper rash and bacterial infections. Not all diapers are as good as others either its important to only use diapers that have a poop pouch so poop is kept away from the vent.

If my girls butt floof gets dirty i just give their floof a bath. Unless a bird is sleeping with me my birds are diaperless at night while they are in their cages. I like a bird to be diaperless the same amount of time it was diapered. My birds dont ever wear their diapers long enough for them to get nasty. Some house chicken owners dont even diaper their birds and they just clean up after each poop.

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

If Nynaeve starts stimming with her braid, Moiraine knows that she's stressed. She'll just quietly take her hand, or put a hand on her shoulder or arm, just something that lets Nynaeve know she's there and willing to talk if that's what she needs. Usually this involves Nynaeve ranting for a good half an hour about whatever's been building up and bothering her.

Moiraine is harder in general, both to see that she needs comfort, and also just to comfort in general. She usually withdraws when stressed, or just gets incredibly efficient and brisk and doesn't stop for the time it takes to breathe. Nynaeve usually spots this and starts nudging her to eat or sleep. Depending on how stressed she is, this may not go down well. That's a clue for Nyn that she's not doing so well. In which case she tries to put her foot down and just has her sit down, and take a breath, and explain what's going on.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Relationship wise, Nynaeve probably usually takes the lead, and Moiraine is usually okay with this. Relationships are not her forte/her strength. Nynaeve is usually the more forceful anyway, so it's fine. Nyn does make sure she's not overwhelming and frequently checks in with Mo to make sure that she's happy and comfortable and everything is going okay. Mo appreciates this a lot.

Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

They don't usually fight HARD because when they do it's. Not pleasant. For either of them. They both know which buttons to push to really hurt the other. Nynaeve, interestingly, is usually the one who broaches things after a big fight and tries to make amends. Because Moiraine can and will stay angry for YEARS, and refuses to thaw. Nynaeve's anger burns hot, but tends to cool down much faster. Mo will stay in an icy rage for a long damn time. These attempts at neutralising the situation usually work well and they soften and make things up to each other.

Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Nynaeve is a very good kisser. As with most things, she puts her heart and soul into it and that comes through. Moiraine knows how to handle her, and what to do with her, and can keep up with Nyn, which is really half the battle in being with her.

I want to say their first kiss was very intense and emotionally charged. Something that involves them just grabbing each other. For Nynaeve I think it's absolutely right up there in the top spot. Her relationships to Her Designated People are the most important things to her. If all of the Dragon stuff is done and dusted and everyone is alive and happy and so fine etc etc then the same for Moiraine. If they're still in the midst of all of that, then Moiraine will prioritise her quest/the world over anything else, which can cause some tension/angst between them.

Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

After all the badness is over and, as noted above, everything is FINE, Nynaeve keeps a small herb garden. She grows, cross-breeds, and creates several new types of plant to make Moiraine different types of tea for her to try and they both enjoy this a lot. Especially Moiraine, if she's had a hard or stressful day, and Nynaeve comes up with a new blend for her to try as a little de-stress.

They're kind of at opposite ends of the spectrum on this one, I feel. Nynaeve is very much 'this is my person and I will show them my love at all times'. Moiraine is much more reserved, and not a very touchy-feely person in general. She kind of can forget that physical connection is a Thing? So she rarely initiates - usually only if she's very very stressed and needs Nyn to just hold her. But it's mostly Nyn who initiates, but this is okay with both of them. Moiraine will sometimes be overstimulated and will squirm away, but that's okay, Nyn will just stay with her and make sure she's okay.

LONG ASS RANT ABOUT THYLACINES

I'm still not coping well so i made some shitty memes about my constant hyperfixation

Well I have been fascinated with these animals since I was a literal 8 year old bc of a book my mom gave me about animals (they're all drawn as opposed to pictures too it's pretty cool i used to trace over them all the time)

They're cool marsupials that went extint in 1936

I am a dumbass with one braincell so for some reason it didn't sink in that when the text said 'disappeared 70 years ago' it meant DISAPEARED FOR REAL. I also was too dumb to realize it was under the 'extinct' chapter

Anyway. These animals are fascinating to me and I have been obsessed with everything related to them ever since. I love how close they look to dogs and wolves despite not being related bc evolution works that well, i love their cute little faces, I love how they managed to survive way longer than they were meant to (more on that bellow), how they move, their lower ankles that look like someone fucked up a dog drawing, everything about it

And I absolutely HATE what they have become a symbol of

I would like to think human activity alone isnt enough to actually drive animals to extinction. That, while it helps, it merely speeds up the pace of an inevitable fate. But that's not true. There have been countless animals that died out bc of humans, and that would have been just fine without us around - be it by hunting, destroying habitats, introducing new species or bringing disease

Thylacines were hunted with no mercy bc they were thought to kill farm animals. People offered money for each one that was shot. Animals that humans introduced to their habitat infected them with disease and made food less avaiable. And just a few decades later, they were gone, forever

And if that wasn't bad enough, the last one we have record of died bc of NEGLET. In a zoo, he was left out in the cold night and didn't make it. They probably threw the body away with no care, thinking they could just get another one to use as exibition, and then realized too late it was the last

ON TOP OF THAT, rules to protect them were set in place about 50 days before the last one died. 50 DAYS!! Talk about too little too late. Maybe if they had done it earlier, things would have been different, but no. They didn't care until they realized hey we havent seen one in forever, fuck

ON TOP OF ON TOP OF THAT, the picture that was used to get farmers to kill them of a thylacine with a chicken in its mouth was most likely faked using a mounted one. It was fucking propaganda?? To??? Kill animals?? Man, what the FUCK. Maybe kill the ones around your property (still wrong but fine) but why lie to people to make them go out of their way to kill animals in the wild??

Everything about thylacines' extintion just highlights the worst parts of the human nature. How careless we are to everything but ourselves. How if it doesn't make us money, we don't care. How we care too little too late. How we can destroy something so easily. And how we don't care about lying about something to get what we want, no matter how bad the consequences might be to someone else

I honestly think the fascination people have with finding these animals in recent years is due to guilt, at least some of it. Yes it's a cool animal, but most important of all it makes us feel bad. So finding a new one maybe would make it ok. We can still save it. We're not that bad.

But that ever happening is unlikely

Thylacines lived short lives (up to 6 years in the wild, 9 in zoos) so to have them survive would require large populations constantly breeding. So to think we wouldnt have found a bone, a dead body, or run over one in over 70 years (also everyone has a phone now, why cant there ever be GOOD pictures taken of these sightings?) just seems like the kind of thing that can't happen

Not only that, but before human intervention they already suffered from low genetic diversity due to its population getting smaller over centuries due to disease and few individuals. It's sad to think that they were always doomed to fail, but it's likely the path they were going towards

So it just makes it way less likely that they would have survived in the wild. They were already failing to reproduce and survive with the individuals they had - imagine after we kill 99% of them. Even if some did make it past the year we recorded, it probs died out shortly after

BUT they could still be alive today, or at least gotten a few more decades. Some people think they did. And maybe we could have helped them if they made it to today with the technology we have

But we'll never know

There's a bunch of footage (with some newly discovered one) of the last one, and while that is cool, it just makes me sad :( to see it pacing around its small cage, with nothing to do, no other one to keep it company (they were often depicted in pairs, idk if they were social animals but it seems like it), not knowing it would never again have another one like it. There's also footage of someone rattling its cage?? Probs to get it worked up to make it walk around or react or something. DONT DO THAT

It's just a sad footage overall, and becomes painful to watch once you know everything else. A sad pacing stressed animal, that would die alone in the cold and go down in history as the last one ever. All while being oblivious to everything we have done to its kind, bc it was just a scared animal

Some people think they survived into the 90's, a lot of people claim to have seen one since 1936 (with no proof) and february 2021 one expert said they had proof they saw one and that it was a baby. It has been debunked by another expert, i have yet to see the pics, but until we have DEFINITE proof, i'll keep on believing they're gone

But it's nice to hope every once in a while. Every sighting makes me a bit happy. This is a big world, with so much of it unexplored, and animals though extinct have showed up again or even been cloned recently. So who knows!

It has been pretty shitty to live through a major historical event that is bad. For a moment I hoped I'd witness one that was actually a positive one

And honestly, if they are still out there, maybe a small population that learned to hide very well, I hope they keep hidden. I'd love to see them, but maybe they're better on their own
