On a serious note, I do feel mysterious case lotusbook has a lot of sincere themes about getting older, realities of responsibility and dreams realized, how it's difficult to succeed and not always the direct path one expects, how there's value in little aspects of life. Almost every li lianhua scene seems to be about that to some degree. The murder cases aren't particularly deep as far as super complicated to figure out or Able to be predicted super well (since they don't always give all the details in the initial setup), but the themes about who was killed and why do connect to li lianhuas situation.

Also I've made one of my older posts about AI stuff unrebloggable because it was starting to go around and while my final verdict opinion hasn't really changed - I still strongly consider it a really exciting tool that can be used for both good and evil and despise its use as a corporate cost-cutting gimmick or a new way for trolls and grifters to be giant cockholes but love seeing what people do with it for its OWN value as a tool and how making art out of ANYTHING is such a human thing to do-
digging even a few inches deeper has caused my reasons for arriving at that same conclusion to change a lot lmao
It's kind of my current ultimate example of

Khan hates to admit that the other is right.
He hates it with every fiber of his being, with every nerve-ending existing within his fingertips, with every breath that's taken and every braincell that seems to fail him at this very moment.
Granted, he's suffering from a concussion; A mild one, however. It's just giving him a headache, a spell of gentle, steady dizziness, nothing one couldn't work with. Nothing he, of all people, couldn't work with. And yes, he should have long figured out how to make this escape pod work under the given circumstances.
"Something is off with it. The entirety of this pod.", he comments, a frown stretching over his dirty features; A hand comes up to wipe across his forehead, leaving another stain as he starts to dismantle one section of the thing... again. As he has done before.
He feels betrayed by his own intellect, and starts to question absolutely everything regarding this pod... and his own sanity.
"---Because it should have worked by now. It makes no sense that it does not. Are you sure this thing has ever worked to begin with?"

Just saw a post that irked me that started off by saying Aziraphale has never suffered and as someone with religious trauma and who grew up in an emotionally neglectful and chronically invalidating envrionment I want to be the first to say that suffering is not defined by rigid standards and that there's a reason neglect and manipulation are classed as forms of abuse. I didn't finish reading the post because I got really angry seeing it so I apologize if I missed context by choosing not to engage further but I just want to make it abundantly clear that suffering and abuse are not black and white concepts, and just because someone is in a space that tries to paint themselves as good doesn't mean that they are good (I mean, seriously, if you haven't learned that from this show then idk if you've even watched it), and just because someone is unable to see that their situation is abusive does not mean that they aren't suffering (and in fact people saying that reeeeally smell of "if they were abusive why didnt you just leave?" Vibes)
