uhuhuhu... I finally finished reading my physical copy of Hunger's Bite by @ohcorny !! The setting in this book is so incredibly fun and I'm very unnormal (positive) about the character arcs. Can't waaiiit for the sequel!!!

juliette is dreaming about circus animals. solo drew a couple of those for her yesterday. he said that she looks like a tiny lioness with a bobtail and the wonky creature he proudly scribbled on that chalkboard was ridiculous. jules then remarked that she doesn't think she looks like that.

but in her dreams she's suddenly this silly looking cat, surrounded by bigger cats and those even bigger things with stupid long noses that can grab stuff... jules forgot how they're called again. she will ask solo when she wakes up, trying to keep a spark of curiosity off her face. “…I mean, you just like to talk about it over and over and I feel like listening.”

If the bad kids played Minecraft

Gorgug: redstone builder my guy loves making rollercoasters and security systems and anything redstone for the others, loves the enchantment table and fights monsters purely for xp, has a little farm of rainbow sheep and flowers, his workshop looks like a flower (Fabian may or may not have made it he just came to the joint world and found it there one day)

Fabian: achievement maniac he must prove that he is the best at the game, loves all the fortresses and like the raids and all of that, fights any monster he sees and brings the spoils back to Adaine for her building, hoards all the gold and diamonds he finds and refuses to share, once killed a piglin on accident and had to give all of his gold to Fig, main person who finds and downloads mods for everyone (he has the nicest computer after all), has a list of which person got one mod after everyone started fighting about who requested a shaders mod that just makes everything look really pretty but also insanely slows everyone’s fps (it was Gorgug he liked how it looked)

Fig: trying to make and collect everything she physically can and if she can’t she will find a way, has about a million mods installed because why not (her personal world is like 4 fps), “rules the nether” (Adaine turned a fortress into a castle for her and she only trades with piglins), has at least one cd playing at any time and tries to start a campaign for one of her songs to become an official cd (it almost works)

Riz: automates everything and anything he can, just does insane experiments for funsies, has a gang of iron golems and a village that he rules with an iron fist (is very offended that fig refuses to trade with his villagers, has waged war on the nether multiple times but Fabian (his “knight”) and Gorgug (Figs “knight”) refuse to fight each other), Kristen is banned because she keeps trying to start a rebellion

Adaine: the builderrr girlie likes her games on peaceful and her structures luxurious, she made a castle for all of her friends in her joint world (even if Fig and Riz usually sleep in their kingdoms), does not know how to fight in the slightest so she just enlists Fabian and Gorgug (Riz makes her pay to enlist Fabian in tnt no Adaine he is not making another nuke what are you talking about), genuinely a good archer but freaks out anytime she sees a monster and becomes instantly useless so she mainly uses it for hunting purposes

Kristen: loves mining, also has a million pets like if she can find a way to make it a pet she will (she once tamed a polar bear nobody knows how), her room in Adaine’s castle is in the basement with little mining carts that Gorgug made her that go throughout basically their whole world, runs as fast as she can away from any Warden chamber (she cannot fight), has an army of snowmen in a cage, technically has a fee for being the blacksmith of the group but forgets every time, has a White House built somewhere in the world after the school election

Ayda: Crafts books so she can write in them, lives in Figs castle in another room than Fig (for the drama, according to Fig)(“the fans will love it!” “My love who are you talking about nobody is watching us” “excuse you my tumble audience is very much enjoying our live-blogged tragic love” “my paramour we are literal blocks”), rotates between living there and living in the tallest tower in Adaine’s castle, is fascinated by Gorgugs inventions

Ragh: Fighter, insists on only using his bare fists, drinks any potion he finds, is the only person willing to go on raids with Fabian and Gorgug, figured out a way to play bloodrush in game, loves elytra’s, lives in a dirt hut that is big enough for him to stand in next to a bed and nothing else, Adaine built him a room (that looks like a gym) in her castle but he prefers dirt hut

Aelwyn: Only on there for the cats, steals Kristen’s cats any chance she gets, surprisingly really good at fighting but refuses to fight unless absolutely necessary, has one mod on for herself and it’s the shapeshifting mod (no clue if that’s a mod or part of a game mode) so she can prank Adaine anytime she wants, loves making tnt even if she doesn’t use it (“the goblin uses it in funny ways” “Aelwyn he is exploding a village” “like I said funny”), fucking hates goats and polar bears for no reason

I found a pair of socks I'd never posted! Top sock is the right way in, bottom is the inside. It's a simple slip-stitch pattern - knit a row; knit 3, slip 1, knit 3, slip one etc around; knit two rows. The sole is knit plain. This yarn was a gift from a friend, and it was beautiful to work with. (I'm making something else with it atm, although the colour pooling is. causing some Problems for that shall we say.)

This isn't as thorough of a job as on the slipper socks, because I don't wear ordinary socks around the house so they see the inside of my boots and that's about it. And the inside of my boots will break them, sooner or later; I can't fight it much more than this or they'll become too thick.

...I should make before and after posts of the socks when they've just been knit versus after I've been wearing them for some time. This will also mean exposing my biggest regret, that I used a beautiful skein of unmarked sock yarn alongside a random ball of superwash merino (both charity shop) and they did Not wear the same and the socks look terrible now and I don't think I can reclaim the good stuff if I unravel them bc it wasn't superwash.

Its so obvious that Steel Wool worked their asses off to make sure this game was good. The graphics and little details are so impressive along with the voice acting and character design is breathtaking and full of love but fnaf fans would rather bitch and whine about how ‘THE MODELS AREN’T SCARY ENOUGH’ like NO SHIT the models arent SUPPOSED to be scary!!

Taking inspiration from @milkweedman again, and trying my hand at a mesh drawstring bag!

This is my handspun shetland wool, and z ply is untwisting just a little while i crochet, so its coming out softer than expected! A big win, coz i definitely overplyed a little. Im adoring how the colours are striping.

I loved the photos from milkweedmans bags, especially of the washed fleece in the bag, so hoping I can do something similar and get the clean wool off the dining table 😅

Genuinely amazing what a little TLC and a solid knowledge base can accomplish.

This old girl hasn't spun in probably nearly a century. The couple who sold it to me told me his parents got it at an antique shop in 1953. It sat as a piece of decor in the parents house since then. After a few failed attempts and a lot of elbow grease (and literal grease - er spinning oil, same thing) I got the stuck pieces off and some wood glue to put pieces back together. And .. she works! Kinda. I need to do a deep clean of the shaft on the flyer as it's covered in sticky old oil still and needs to be cleaner for the bobbin to take the fiber freely.

I've named her Ol' Roz which is short for Rozhanitsy. The Slavic Fates, essentially.

The lady who sold me it is over the moon I got her working and sent a small video and photo of the yarn I've spun on her so far.

Also pls, don't @ me about the horribly dressed distaff... I've never dressed one like this before 😂

Sorry for fnafposting but I’m legitimately amazed at how bad Steel Wool’s additions to the lore are. Like I know most of this technically originated from the books but holy fuck.

I think pretending the series ended after UCN and that everything else is either an alternate universe or a drug trip continues to be the best way to enjoy the franchise

Edit: the bad writing is Scott’s fault. My conspiracy theory is that he is incapable of not putting every idea he has in the franchise. That’s why we need the books, for him to get out all of his… less well thought out concepts

the only time i've used the "price: high to low" sort function on a website is when i'm trying to plan an outfit for bruce in a random scene
