Also finally revealing some Hedonism City AU designs, granted they're dressed festive for the occasion (even Jax, somewhat). Last year was an honest blast, I'm super thankful for all the love and creativity I've experienced in this fandom and I would like to keep making more amazing stuff together!! <3

Puppeteer AU may have gotten me some fifteen minutes of fame, but I've got other, different ideas that I'm excited to share with you all~

you ever just have a lot, a LOT of feelings all at once about a character and not even remotely enough words or brainpower to FORM the words to describe everything you're feeling. so it feels like you may explode. yeah

I'm kind-of genuinely devastated that they decided to cut out the reveal of Perrin having known all along about Mon Mothma's rebel activities and was getting interrogated WEEKLY by the Empire and never cracked even once.

This would've helped answer SO MANY QUESTIONS about Mon and Perrin, and it could've easily helped answer the question of why Mon felt like she could just walk away from her family after making herself public enemy number one.

She goes to finally explain it all to Perrin right before she makes the speech because dammit she might not have trust him or even like him all that much but she doesn't want him DEAD and he deserves the chance to find this out from her and get himself to safety before she turns his life upside down, and he tells her he's known all along and covered for her this whole time and never once cracked or been discovered, even when she framed him for gambling and sold off their daughter to a gangster's son. He lets her know that he doesn't need to go to safety, he's not just going to run now because that'll just make him look like he was involved in it. He can continue to cover for himself when the Empire comes to interrogate him again, and he can do it well enough to ensure Leida doesn't get implicated, either. Mon's priority is the rebellion, her priority is her work and it always has been, even to the detriment of her relationship with her family, and Perrin understood that but it meant that HIS priority had to be protecting and taking care of Leida in the absence of her mother. So Mon has to go, but Perrin has to stay because their daughter needs him now more than ever.

And it just makes the choice that Mon has made so clear, the sacrifice she chose to make for the sake of the rebellion, and she can't back out now, she can't make a different choice because she tells herself she's doing this FOR Leida, to try to make a better world for her daughter to live in, but in order to give Leida that world, she has to leave Leida behind.

But she realizes now that she CAN trust Perrin, she could've trusted him all along, so she chooses to trust him now. She trusts him with their daughter, she trusts that he can take care of himself and Leida in her absence once more.

This helps Mon's arc SO MUCH, and I honestly love it, and as Bissell says it's technically a non-canon thing now because it clearly never even made it into the script really let alone got filmed, but it's pretty easy to slot it into what we DID get to see, so as far as I'm concerned, this is my canon. This fixes so many of the problems I had with the end of this arc for Mon and makes it so much more emotional and almost tragic. Mon made her choices and you can argue that some of them were mistakes if you want, you can argue that it made her a bad mother if you wanted to, but it's so much more complicated and nuanced than that, and I love that this finally makes that so clear. Mon made her choice and her family paid the price a long time ago, long before Mon was willing to acknowledge that she'd made that choice.

A different kind of reunion

Four years have passed as they do in canon and Hange and Levi have both been licking their wounds (emotional moreso than physical) but only one of them was aware they might meet again sooner rather than later.

Hange has involuntarily climbed the ranks of the Marleyan army while doing their best to keep Essie out of harm's way. Levi has had his hands full trying to keep the Survey Corps from collapsing while not accepting the title of commander, instead waiting until he deemed Armin old enough to be bestowed the title.

The raid Eren forced them into has started and Levi is zipping around Liberio when his eyes fall on a silhouette that has been haunting his nightmares (when he can even manage to fall asleep). As he sees them emerging from the neck of that mutt, something in him snaps and he changes course.

Hange has been running around looking for the warrior candidates while fending off the survey corps soldiers. No, they're island devils. They're praying they didn't hit anyone they know. Knew. Devils. That's right. Nothing more. They stop to ask a group of their underlings if they've seen the kids, but instead of answers they get warnings. They freeze at the sight of Levi (!?) flying towards them and before they can react he's torn them from their titan and tossed them into a wall. Stumbling from the impact, they approach him, something inside them pulling them towards him even now. They have to say something to him, anything, but what is there to say?

As he feels Hange grab onto his cape, hears them call his name, Levi holds onto the flare of anger and betrayal to commit to what he's about to do, stomping down any other emotions he may or may not be feeling, hard. It needs to be done. That's all there is to it.

The differences in the battle portraits between acts are so good. Like, Act 2's portrait is shocked, but later portraits aren't. He's repeated this performance so many times, that they see the misstep and accept it. Who cares? Win or lose, he'll just loop again.

Just re-watched "Suspended Animation S3E9", and something that's been bothering me is how AWFUL Toni Vern name stuff-

Naming his fake company in "Magnetic North S7E6" (Los Angeles Academy in Magnetic Electrotechnology) 'L.A.A.M.E'? Seriously???

Naming that lil' robot in "Roblok Wars S4E4" he built for the 'Robotics and Football Exhibit' CHIP T. CHUCKERSON??? Yeah Toni, tell us who's your favorite without telling us-

In "The Determinator S5E9", naming the machine he made, (Position Apparatus for Understanding Likely moves), 'P.A.U.L'?!?!? REALLY?!?!? (Okay, maybe that one doesn't count- I like that one because how silly the name resembles an actual person's name-)

OH AND DON'T GET ME STARTED that he names his suite and himself for disguise, "RON NEVIT". BRO, THAT IS YOUR NAME AS AN ANAGRAM!! HOW PREDICTABLE ARE YOU, TONI VERN?!?!? (I'm surprise Supa Strikas hasn't caught on that-)

i believe that shipping tentoo/rose and recognizing that the way it happened was fucked on the doctor's end and traumatic on the end of rose herself can coexist. saying both of these things do not contradict each other.

i can say that the metacrisis is still the doctor and say that rose was right at first to say "he's not you," because of the context rose has in the moment and the work rose had put into finding the doctor that she conceptualized as the doctor.

i can also say that he tried to manipulate her into choosing the metacrisis because that is what he believed was best for her, even though i can also say she did choose to kiss the metacrisis in her own right.

and finally, i can say, that it was fucked up he left her in norway, solely because, bro, that's a long way away from where they need to go lol.
