but also stan having to steal waste frequently during those past few weeks + ford doing the same and being all "well actually i can justify this pretty easily! the government doesn't properly dispose of them anyway!!!😤" *leaves the remnants out on his porch*

i am pretty sad the "don't play dumb, pines" reaction was changed from stan pretending he has no idea what fission is to him simply pretending he has no idea about the waste heist though

For the Laicion nation (aka, me and three other people)

I had this illustration commissioned (a big thank you to @lunehowls) for my werewolf AU Laicion fic (still a WIP).

The general pitch is as follows :

AU in which Laios never got to meet his sister again, putting his life on a whole other path, a more desperate one. A military deserter with barely a coin to his name, Laios hitches a ride on a boat to one of the elven continents, where he learns about magical tattoos that binds one’s soul to a wolf’s, effectively making them artificial werewolves. Illegal magic be damned, this feels like the answer to… everything.

In the process, he learns about the existence of an illegal fighting ring in one of the elven cities, where beastmen gladiators gather. Freshly tattooed and without anywhere else to go to, Laios decides to head there, where he meets Lycion, an elf and artificial werewolf gladiator. If they first bond over a simple shared meal, by spending time together (sharing the same room in the barracks, maybe the same bed? gasp) they find that they have a lot in common, notably a shared distaste for the body they were born in, a dysphoria partially remedied by becoming a werewolf.

They bond :)

I think the Luigi think has a lot to do with him being a good kid from a well off family who even made it into an Ivy League school. Not the stereotypical type of people you see in the news. I’ll be honest what he did was terrorism but it’s domestic terrorism in the same way a mass shooting is. Domestic terrorism is always downplayed by the media because it goes against everything they teach us about terrorism being done by “scary poc ppl from 3rd world countries” when it’s a privileged white guy from America they do everything in their power to shield that. Cause it breaks the American image.

My post about them distancing Luigi from whiteness has to do how the US has identified and categorized certain demographics as white. Italians were not considered white for a very long time, that’s well documented. They later assimilated whether it was intentional or not into whiteness. The social construct and reshaping of whiteness is very interesting when somebody is deemed a terrorist from a group who were not historically seen as white but later assimilated into whiteness. They are in real time painting him to be non-white and playing into the terrorism charge. I agree with you that they are shielding the American image by making him appear non-American through his ethnic background. In my opinion they are playing up the somewhat ambiguous racial background of Italians and aligning him with more of the mediterranean/middle eastern/north african traits that some Italians possess.

(They quite literally said he was a lightskin man as apposed to white male in the suspect photos)

Basically what I’m saying is race is a social construct and groups that are considered white can be ousted from whiteness for convenience

I’ll respectfully disagree with you on the terrorism allegation. Firstly, mass shootings are not considered acts of terrorism in the United States. Violence happens in the United States of course but unfortunately the United States Government does not see certain violence acts against certain demographics (typically marginalized groups) as terrorism. Mass School Shootings aren’t even considered acts of terrorism per the U.S Government. Additionally the KKK isn’t even considered a terrorist group.

Domestic terrorism is violence backed by a political ideaology to convince a policy change of the government. UHC is a private healthcare company that is not a governing body of the United States. Now we can get into the weeds of why they charged him with that but the United States is an oligarchy so I think they charged him with terrorism to set a precedence to protect the ruling class and also because terrorism charges have a higher conviction rate.

on one hand, my tiny apartment is spotless, i'm always on time to work, i'm packing my lunch and cooking, i'm generally getting at least 7.5 hours of sleep nightly, my chores are done, i track all expenses and budget everything, i'm actually doing physical exercise regularly for the first time in years, and am generally being quite productive and successful.
