The Isle of Mermaids

Sofia takes Cedric with her on a quest in the Mystic Isles for the first time. The sorcerer is absolutely riveted with excitement, but upon arriving at a certain isle, he receives an unexpected amount of attention he did not prepare for.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“So, are you excited, Mr. Cedric?” 

If it wasn’t already hint enough by how Cedric had been endlessly smiling and bouncing on his heels as he and the princess walked out onto the front steps of the castle, there wasn’t much else he could do but tell her. This was the first time Cedric had ever gotten the privilege of going to the Mystic Isles, and as the magic-loving enthusiast he was, Cedric was ecstatic. 

“Oh, Princess I am more than excited. I’m absolutely riveted!” The sorcerer exclaimed, clasping his hands together and beaming at the thought of getting to explore that glorious manor of magic. “I can’t wait to see all those mystical sights!” He twirled. This was the most excitable and dreamy Sofia has ever seen Cedric act before. It was quite an endearing and humorous thing to witness. The only time that came close that she can recall was when she took him and Calista to see Merlin. 

Cedric went on. “The Isle of fairies, the Isle of Sorcerer’s and OH The Cove of Crystals~!” He rambled on about all the places he was dying to visit, hardly being able to contain his joy. 

Sofia giggled. “Well I’m happy you’re so excited, becauuuseeee-” she drawled, hopping down the stairs and landing in front of the carriage to take them there. Which had no flying horse or coachmen in sight, but instead gave off a reassuring glow, signaling that it was very much enchanted.  “we’re gonna do more than just sight see.” 

Cedric halted beside the carriage beside her looked down at his princess, confused by this new information. “Whatever do you mean?”

Sofia smiled sheepishly. “Welllll I do have a small job I need to do. But it’s okay! That’s why I thought it’d be okay for you to come this time since we’ll have lots of time to sight see. I promise.” The princess explained as Cedric opened the door for her. She hopped inside with him following behind. 

“I trust you, princess. But, just one question.”

Sofia blinked. 

“Don’t you usually take your flying pegasus to the isles?” He asked as the carriage took off.

Sofia groaned, shrugging into herself in embarrassment. “Mom wanted me to start taking the enchanted carriage because she thought it’d be safer than me gallivanting around on a flying pesagus without a saddle and helmet like I do with Minimus.” She explained shamefully, resting her head in her arms on the window. Looking quite glum with this new found restriction on something meant to be an adventure. No doubt if Chrysta saw her riding into HQ on this, she’d never let her live it down.

The coach came to a steady sore as it tilted down to land at the entrance to the Isles, prompting both Sofia and Cedric to climb out of the side door of the coach. Immediately, Cedric gasped in amazement the second he and Sofia stepped onto the cloudy surface of the land. His eyes lighting up at all the beautiful blue and purple mist and clouds surrounding them, the energy of never ending magic all around them, the frolicking fae and witches and centaurs around every corner and on every isle. It was all so wonderful and breathtaking, there was not a single place his eyes could stay focused on for more than three seconds because of all that was happening before him. 

“Welp, here we are!” Sofia gestured, allowing Cedric a moment to take in the grandness of the place they were in. She stepped up beside him, placing her hands on her hips. “Whadayya think?”

Cedric’s eyes didn’t cease their wondrous gazing and his huge, dorky smile never faltered. The majesty before them was almost too much joy and brilliance for him to handle. “This is.. the most incredible place I’ve ever seen!” He said as his voice got high in pitch with excitement. He looked up to see a circle of pixies flutter gently down to the crown of his head, placing a multi-coloured flower crown of all different beautiful shades of blues, purples, pinks and yellows on his head.

“Oh, um, th-thank you!” He addressed the fae folk, gingerly touching the grown they graced him with and waving them goodbye as they flew off. They all waved to him as well before giggling and diapering into the clouds. 

The second the pixies left, a familiar voice came up behind Sofia, causing her and Cedric to startle and turn around. 

“Hey Sofia!” Chrysta flew in, a friendly smile on her face at seeing her favourite princess. “This your friend you brought with ya?” She nodded at Cedric.

“Uh huh.” Sofia affirmed with a nod, gesturing to proudly present her royal sorcerer and mentor. “Chrysta, meet Cedric the Sensational.” She grinned, stepping aside. 

Cedric stepped forward, placing a hand on his chest and sticking one hand out for her to shake. “A pleasure to meet you, Chrysta. Forgive me for our first meeting, it wasn’t exactly formal.”

The protector laughed to brush it off, taking his hand to shake. “Hey, don’t worry about it. Sofia’s very important to the both of us.” She threw the princess a wink. Looking back at Cedric, she noticed a certain adoration on top of his head, rousing amusement in the fairie. “I see the pixies have greeted you already.” 

“Hm?” Cedric puzzled at first, but once he noticed that Chrysta had been eyeing higher up on his head, he remembered the flowered decoration the pixies gifted to him just a minute ago. Feeling embarrassed, a hot blush rushed to the sorcerer’s cheeks as he quickly swiped the crown from off his head, chuckling and folding it into his pocket for safe keeping.

Chrysta still had a smirk on her face along with crossed arms, looking over her shoulder she noticed something quite different about the young protectors choice to transportation here. “Sofia, don’t you usually use Skye to get here?” She asked, turning back to the princess with a quizzical look.

Now it was Sofia’s turn to be embarrassed. “I really don’t wanna talk about it.”

“Well good, because we don’t really have time. We need to get you two to the Isle of Mermaids, stat. As far as we know they’re the only ones with the starfish key we need to open the Chest of Miracles.” Chrysta said, checking her enchantlet. 

“Right. We can get there fast.” Sofia reassured, suddenly hardening her tone to let Chrysta know that she meant business.

“Good.” The fairie replied, then turned to Cedric with a smug grin. “Think you can handle it, Royal Sorcerer?”

Cedric scoffed. “I’m sure I can handle a few fish-tailed ladies that spend their day splashing about in the water.” 

“Great!” Chrysta clapped her hands together and began to usher to two back into the carriage. “Check in with me once you’ve got the key, then you can use your enchantlet to transfer it over to me where I’ll be at HQ. Okay, Sofia?” 

“Okay, it’ll be done in no time.” She said confidently as Chrysta continued to push them. 

“Good, now let’s get a move on you two!” She proclaimed, shoving the princess and the sorcerer into the carriage and slamming the door before either of them could get another word out, and smacking the side of the enchanted vehicle to let it take off.

“What exactly is the Chest of Miracles, Sofia?” Cedric inquired to the princess sitting across from him. 

“Well,” Sofia started, bringing up her enchantlet to her chin and pressing down on the middle with her finger. The whip extended to create a circle between the two, showing them an image of a jewel-encrusted golden chest with an enchanted lock that looked like it was made of steal iron. It was decorated with rubies, emeralds, diamonds, sapphires, you name it. The sight in a mere picture was almost too much for ones eyes to handle. 

“It’s a magical chest that when you open it, it will grant you one wish and one wish only, so powerful that it can’t be reversed by any magic at all.” Sofia tapped her enchantlet, bringing up another image of a couple of regular looking goons, though clearly native to the Mystic Isles. “There’s been a couple of bad elves after it recently. And before we go looking for them we have to ensure that every single key is safe and locked away where nobody can find them. There’s one key on every isle, but they are incredibly hard to find because they only surface every 10 years.” She took the image down, putting her hand back to her side. 

Cedric rubbed his chin, absorbing all that the Princess had explained to him. “Oh my, seems like quite the event to keep track of.”

Sofia nodded. “It is.” Her eyes shifted to the side and upon looking outside the window, she gasped. “We’re here!” She exclaimed as the coach landed on the sandy and rocky surface of the Isle of Mermaids. Sofia sprung up from her seat and flung the door open, dashing outside to the front of what appeared to be a seaweed door. Covering the entrance to the rocky cove, there was a curtain of multiple thick and long strands of seaweed, decorated with seashells and conch shells and starfish in a prettily detailed pattern. 

“Whoa.” Sofia marveled at the display as Cedric strolled up behind her, who was also taking in the aesthetically pleasing sight.

The princess turned to Cedric, putting up a hand to prevent him from going any further. “I’ll go in first, just to make sure it’s safe.” She walked ahead, ignoring Cedric cry out- “W-wait, Sofia!” -out of fear she might get into some kind of trouble that he’d be deemed responsible for. 

Sofia had slightly peeled the seaweed curtains back and slipped in as to not cause too much disturbance. Her eyes widened at the pretty sight of the cove, the weaving and bending isles of crystal white and purple rock pillars stood proud and tall with bunches of sparkling barnacles gathering at their bases. Beneath Sofia’s boots were purple sands, almost identical to the sand in the Dancing Dessert. 

The cove was packed with mermaids, much to Sofia’s luck and surprise. There were so many. Some chatting, some playing and splashing about, some napping on the sandy shore, and some doing their hair and makeup while they rested on rock peaks. All completely unaware of anything going on around them. Oh boy, it was going to be hard to even get their attention. 

“Um.. e-excuse me?” Sofia quipped, but no avail. 

“Excuse me!” She said a little louder. The mermaids just kept socializing. 

Sofia puffed her cheeks, reckoning she’d have to be louder if she ever wanted this to get anywhere. “EXCUSE ME!” She shouted, which took enough energy from her to turn her normally pink-ish cheeks a brilliant red of frustration.

Silence fell over the gaggle of fish girls, they all turned their heads to the source of their disturbance. Sofia was expecting a backlash of annoyed mermaid folk, but instead was met with a wave of pleasant gasps. 

“A visitor!!!’ They all cheered, swimming up to Sofia like excited newly adopted puppy-dogs. 

Taken aback by the sudden attention, the princess stepped back. “Um.. hi!” Sofia waved, trying her best to just smile cutely and be polite. If she wanted to find that key, she’d have to win her way too it. 

“Hi!” One mermaid with red hair replied gushingly. 

“Aren’t you one of the protectors?” A curly black-haired mermaid with a navy blue tail asked eagerly. 

“Yes, actually.” She replied, attempting to make pleasantries. “I’m Princess Sofia, the Mystic Isle’s first human protector.” She stated proudly, making a heroic stance, which only fueled the mermaids’ excitement.

“A PRINCESS?!” They all gawked, swimming even closer, crowding around the little girl.  

“How many crowns do you own?” One chimed. 

“How much are your dresses?” One chirped. 

Unsure how to respond, Sofia backed up as a swarm of chatter and inquires continued to fire at her at once, overwhelmed by all the sudden questions. “Um...”

From the other side of the seaweed, Cedric had been nervously biting his nails. Wondering what was taking Sofia so long. He had been pacing, looking at the floor and giving the curtain the occasional worried glance. 

“Oh... what is that girl doing in there?” He muttered, concern greatly affecting his every emote. 

What if they weren’t any help at all? What if they were just being rude? What if they were actually bad mermaids? WHAT IF THEY TRIED TO DROWN HER???

It only took a few minutes for the worries and doubts to build up inside of the sorcerer before he couldn’t take it anymore. “That’s it!” Cedric stopped, stepping up to the door of green strings and puffing out his chest. “I’m going in there.” He declared, drawing out his wand. 

Throwing back the curtain dramatically, which was very opposite to the approach Sofia had tried to take earlier, he stepped inside the cove and called out, “Sofia! Are you alright? What is going on in here?” 

The giggling of the mermaids stopped, being caught by the attention of the new arrival in their midst. Their gazes completely going past the princess and now landing on the tall sorcerer. They unanimously scanned him up and down as Sofia talked. 

“Mr. Cedric, I’m okay, they're actually really nice! They’re... just-”

“A BOY?!” The mermaids squealed in unison, their tails excitedly flipping up in sync. 

“Wha- AH!” Before Cedric had time to react, he felt himself being pulled by his arm down to right where the shore met the water. Before he knew it, or could really register what was going on, he was suddenly surrounded by a flock of doey-eyed fish tailed maidens as the new specimen of their attention. 

“He’s so cute~!” A blonde one in the back cooed, making a shy blush creep onto Cedric’s pale cheeks. He can’t remember the last time he’s ever been called ‘cute’ completely unprompted. 

“We never get any boys here in the cove.” One sighed, looking up and resting her cheek on her arm that was resting on the sand beside his leg. Tracing patterns in the sand with her finger.

“Guys, look at his hair!” A pretty red head reached forward to feel the tips of Cedric’s silvery bangs, to which he sputtered and stumbled back. 

Cedric shook his head, almost certain he had just gotten whiplash from all the tugging and fawning he had just received. He wasn’t used to being so doted on, let alone by a dozen or so pretty mermaids. “I-I-I do apologize ladies, but the Princess and I are in a bit of a-”

“Are you a sorcerer?” The black-haired mermaid swam forward, intrigued by the wand he had currently in his hands possession. 

“Hm?” Cedric directed his attention to where the mermaid had been gazing dreamily, realizing he had been up in arms with his greatest magical tool this whole time. “Oh, um..” he then looked around at the array of adoring faces awaiting for his response. In all honesty it kind of unsettled and yet.. it also flattered him. He would be lying if he told himself that he wouldn’t perhaps enjoy indulging in this sort of attention, just a little. 

“I-I am.” He stated, though that statement was true, he still seeming a little confused and frazzled. However, that response alone was enough to make the mergirls squeal with excitement. 

“Can you show us some tricks?” The blonde one spoke up.

“Oh, well, um, I-I don’t think we really have the ti-” 

“Where’d you get your wand?” The red head intervened.

“That’s actually a funny story! You see I-”

The loud throat-clearing of the princess alerted Cedric to not continue with his story unless they wanted to be there all day. 

“Mr. Cedric, I don’t think we have time for that.” She pointed to her enchantlet, tapping it as if it were a watch. 

Cedric nodded at Sofia, affirming his dedication to get this over with. However, the attention of a particularly bold mermaid caught Cedric’s eye back. A brunette with a dark purple tail swam up to the shore and leaned forward to Cedric on her elbows. “So, Mr. Cedric, do you swim at all~?” She drawled in a sultry manner as she looked up at him through lidded eyes and a confident curl of her lips. This caused a rupture of giggles and whispering from her mermaid companions. In Cedric, it caused what he was sure was the fieriest blush he’s ever felt in his life rise up in his cheeks, knowing he was definitely beat red by now. Not to mention the spike his blood pressure went through at hearing that comment. 

Sofia sighed, lowering her head in defeat. At this rate, she wasn’t gonna get anywhere in finding that key. Not with these mermaids short attention spans. 

The sound of water swishing by the princess’s feet startled her, casing her to turn her head to the water where a “Pstt, hey, Princess!” had sounded. 

Sofia spotted that curly black haired mermaid, who must’ve slipped from the crowd among noticing her distraught. “Is there something you need, honey?” 

The protector smiled in relief, rushing up to the coast line and kneeling down to meet at eye-level with the mermaid.  

“Yes, do you think you can help me?” She asked.

The mermaid chuckled, waving a hand. “Oh of course I can, sugar! You’ll have to excuse me and the girls this whole time, we’re very...” she and Sofia looked over at the rest of her merfriends, who were still gushing over the very frazzled sorcerer, keeping him knelt at the shoreline as one reached up to tuck a lavender sea flower in his hair over top of his ear. They all squealed and giggled at how cute he looked with it.

“distracted easily.” She shook her head, turning her attention back to the princess. 

Sofia giggled at the wholesome sight. “That’s okay.” She turned back to the mermaid. “I’m just glad you’re here now. Do you think you can help me find this?” She lifted up her enchantlet, tapping it to let the whip form it’s image-creating loop, manifesting the sight of a large, sky blue key with an orange starfish that made of the end of the handle. There was a large red jewel installed in the starfish's center, and tiny diamonds aligned the length of the key. “It’s the starfish key, it’s supposed to help open an enchanted chest that needs to be protected.”

The mermaid brightened with familiarity at the sight of the image, straightening up and flipping her tail. “Well why didn’t you say so? I’ll go get it for you!” In a flash, the mermaid dove off back into the water, causing some droplets to splash into Sofia’s face. 

Sofia coughed, wiping the water off her cheeks as she contemplated how easy that was. Well, she supposed it wasn't all that easy. Getting the mermaids to even focus on one thing for long was a challenge on it’s own, but the princess was at least expecting some kind of fight to be put up since what she was asking for was very important. Though, she supposed since she was recognized as a protector, she did have some authority in this realm.

In a mere minute, the mermaid popped back up out of the water, giving the princess a warm smile. Sofia returned her expression and eagerly leaned in as the mermaid had lifted one hand out if the water to reveal the long awaited starfish key exact to the one in the picture. “Is this what you’re looking for, sweet pea?” She drawled, handing the key to the princess. 

“Yes.” Sofia nodded, looking down at the object in her hands. It was a lot more glow-y than in the picture, a gold aura quickly seeped out from it once it hit the air. “Thank you.” 

“Anytime!” The fish lady chirped. “My name’s Quinta, by the way.” She affirmed, resting a hand on her chest to gesture towards herself. 

“Sofia.” The princess stood up to curtsy, addressing herself in return. Then, with key in hand, she turned to Cedric and waved it in the air. “Mr. Cedric!” She called, cupping one hand to her mouth to overpower the noise of the giggling and inquiries of the other mermaids that were still flocked around him. 

The sorcerer’s attention was quickly caught, he turned his head to the princess and beamed, standing up to signal that he was ready to go. “Oh thank goodness you found it!” He exclaimed, a little relived. 

“Actually, it was Quinta.” Sofia smiled, nodding over the the mermaid beside her. She waved at Cedric, who in return waved back.

Sofia rushed up to the sorcerer, tugging on his robe sleeve. “Come on, we have to get this back to HQ.” 

“Right.” Cedric nodded, about to bid the mermaids a polite goodbye. He was interrupted by the feeling of a hand reach out and grab his, tugging gently on his arm. He looked down to see the pleading eyes of the red haired mermaid, along with her other now sad-faced friends crowding in closer to the shore. 

“Do you have to go?” The redhead whined cutely, sticking out her bottom lip. 

“Uh...” Cedric panicked, looking fearfully at all the pouting lips and pleading gazes, afraid of upsetting them he was unsure how to answer. 

Sofia sighed, knowing there’s no way that Cedric, being the kind of person he was, still a little afraid of disappointing people, stepped in to help him. “I’m sorry, but we really have to go. It’s important for the Mystic Isles.” She stood in between the mermaids and her sorcerer, separating them.

“Awwwwww.” The mermaids cried in unison, their shoulders slumping and their expressions dropping. 

“But don’t worry, we’ll probably be coming back at some point!” Sofia chimed, trying to instill a bit of hopefulness into the group as she began to usher Cedric out of the cove, very similarly to how Chrysta had been doing to them earlier when getting them into the coach.

“Hmm, okay!” One chirped hopefully, reaching up to wave the two goodbye. “Bye Princess! Bye Cedric!” 

“Yeah, bye you two!” Another jumped in.

“Hope to see you guys soon!” The blonde called. 

Sofia and Cedric waved politely as they continued to make their way out, looking over their shoulders and at the mermaids briefly before turning around and pulling back the seaweed curtain. Cedric had offered for Sofia to go first, lifting the ocean veil for her, the princess smiled up at him and just before completely disappearing, turned back over her shoulder to see that Quinta was still there, giving Sofia a grin and waving goodbye as well. Sofia smiled back to silently thank her for all her help, and left with her sorcerer.

“Well, that was...” Cedric commented, not really sure how to continue with that as they both walked to the coach. On one hand, the mermaids were incredibly lovely and friendly, but on the other hand, it was all so sudden and quick that he wondered if it even actually happened.

Sofia giggled. “Interesting.” She finished the statement for him, stopping by the coach as Cedric opened the door for her. “Very interesting.” She hopped inside.

“Yes, I should say so, Princess.” Cedric agreed, still in between a state of contentment and confusion, stepping into the coach behind her. 

The princess let out another chortle, hiding her grin behind her hand as she had noticed something... new about Cedric when she sat across from him. Much to his further confusion. 

“What? What is it now?” He panicked. 

Sofia pointed to the side of her head, just above her ear. “I like your flower.” She teased, making Cedric’s hand fly up to his hair. He ruffled around up there with an embarrassed blush before pulling out the flora from his locks and holding it in front of his face. 

“Oh what is with this place and putting flowers on me?” He grumbled, stuffing that flower into his other pocket. 

Sofia grinned cheekily. “I thought it looked cute.” 

Cedric crossed his arms and sat back in his seat, feigning a grumpy facade that hadn’t fooled the princess in years. She knew he fully intended to keep that flower, and the crown he was gifted. 

As the coach continued to sore through the air, it went off to take them to the next Isle. Their journey here only beginning.

   “Draco your drooling” Theo says, the other two laugh as the flustered platinum blond face flushes. “Seriously, why don’t you- you know? Ask her out?” Blaise cuts in, crossing his arms “Yeah! You’ve been friends for what three months now. Sooner or later someone else is going to sweep her off her feet”

   Draco looked at the three and sighed “It’s not that easy okay! She’s just so kind and sweet and i’m so-”

   “rude?”

   “angry?”

   “scary?”

   the blond rolls his eyes “i was going to say terrified, but yes thank you for the words of encouragement. I feel the love” he says, tone laced in sarcasm. Pansy chuckles “Terrified? of what?” “oh, i don’t know. Maybe rejection Parkinson?” he snaps, making her roll her eyes 

   “oh! start sending her love letters in secret!” Theo speaks up, making the platinum blond boy sigh deeply “What is that supposed to accomplish?” he says harshly “When she gets the letter, see how she reacts” he shrugs. Draco thinks for a moment and a small smile graces his lips.

   you were packing up your potions textbook as class ended when a flying paper dove landed right on your desk. You raise a brow and look up to see multiple students walking out of class, so you couldn’t tell who sent you it. YOu shrug your shoulders before grabbing the dove from your desk.

   you begin to unfold it and a small white flower falls out onto your bag. Ignoring it for a moment you finish unfolding it and smile at the words.

   ‘You way you walked into class today with your bright smile almost made my heart thump out of my chest -?’

   you raise a brow and flip it over. No signature. Was this a love letter. You smile at the words as you grab the flower and smell it’s fresh scent. What a funny joke. Not. You place the letter in your bag and hold the flower as you sling the bag over your shoulder and walk out.

  you were in the library looking for a novel that been checked out the whole month. As you gazed through the shelves, you saw the title on the spine of a book and grabbed it. You smiled and flipped through the books, a letter falling out of it and onto the ground.

   you raise a brow and bend down to pick it up from the ground. You spot the handwriting and sighed. Alright then.

   ‘I want to recreate every romantic scene you want in this book, only if you allow me too’

   you smile at the words, before raising a brow. How did they know you were going to check out this book, on this day. Maybe it was a strange coincidence? You grab the note and fold it up, sticking it in your pocket. You were now very curious on who this person was.

   as you flipped through your book, you felt someone tap your shoulder “Cedric?” he smiles lightly and places a small box of chocolate frogs on the couch next to you, along with a note “What’s this?” you ask, closing the novel you were reading on your lap.

   “Someone left them outside the common room door. Had your name on it so figured it was yours” he shrugs. You pick up the note seeing none other than your name on it. Opening you see the same handwriting as the other note.

   ‘Just some sweets to show how sweet you are -?’

   you sigh, holding the letter up to show him “Aw Y/n as a secret admirer” Cedric teases and you roll your eyes “I don’t want somebody i don’t know spending money on me. It makes me feel bad” you protest and he chuckles “Only you would worry about that”

   after that, you got sweets and small presents every day for a whole week and as much as you liked the compliments, you didn’t like not being able to pay the person back. You wanted to thank them for there nice gesture and also wanted to let whoever was sending you the letter know you weren’t interested.

   yeah, you had the biggest crush on Draco Malfoy, but lately he had been busy so you found a slight comfort in the compliments the letters gave you, but you wished he would say those things to you.    as you read the words your eyes widened. Oh. OH! You knew exactly who this person was. The only one who you told about the book you wanted to check out to the the same words you had heard so long ago. You close the letter and look down.

   as the Hufflepuffs laughed, Draco felt his chest tighten “Oh no” he mumbles while the other three slowly nod “Yeah, nice going there Malfoy” Blaise pats his back with a smile. Draco hits his arm away and hits his head on the table. “I didn’t know they would laugh at her”

   “Your going to have to tell her now” Pansy says, making the boys eyes widened “No! I can never tell her now, she’ll hate me forever!” he shouts. The other Slytherins looked at him weirdly and he very harshly pulls the hood of his robe over his head.

   “Then talk to her as a friend. She’d want some comfort right now” Theo suggests. The two nod while Draco sighs, rubbing his face with his hand “Yeah i can do that”

   sitting down in the courtyard, you flipped through your novel again. “Y/n?” you turn your head to see the one and only Draco Malfoy. You close your book slowly and place it down “Hey” you smile.    you narrow your eyes “you should be, considering you wrote them!” you shout and start to wack him with your book. Draco puts his arms up and grabs it quickly from you “What! How!” he shouts and you roll your eyes “Your the only person i told about my book!”

   “also! You told me the exact same thing when i said i wanted to be friends. That you didn’t deserve me” you shout back. Draco looks down in shame and groans “I wanted to tell you, but i was avoiding this. You thinking i was weird and hating me because i have feelings for you”

   you sigh softly. ‘this guy’ you thought. You reach into your bag and grab his letters and hand them to him “Your right about one thing. I do think your weird”you say and watch as he frowns “But not because that you like me, but because you didn’t tell me in person”

   his brows furrow as he looks you in the eyes “I like you too, you big idiot Draco Malfoy” his face changes into one of happiness as he drops the letters, grabbing your face and pressing a tender kiss to your lips. It’s your turn for your eyes to widened. It takes a second for your hands to grab at his robe and pull him closer.

   you feel him smile against your lips as he deepens your exchange. He pulls away and looks back down on the letters “I knew i shouldn’t have listened to Nott” he chuckles. You laugh and nod your head “Yeah that was your first mistake”

how you meet

Cedric was excited to hear that there was going to be a professor coming in to teach them about the muggle arts during a spring festival that year. He’d loved sketching ever since he was a kid and this seemed like a great way to learn some new tips and meet some new people with his similar interests.

He enters the classroom to see many students sitting at desks with their supplies out in front of them and he spots a seat at the fron next to a girl with black hair and brown eyes.

Placing his sketchbook down, he turns to you.

“Hi, I’m Cedric, you’re here for the muggle art class right?” He questions, double checking the room number for the hundredth time.

“That’s right, I’m Diana by the way.” You smile, putting down your paint brush to shake hands with the hufflepuff.

The professor walks in and begins the demonstrations, explaining the history behind some famous art pieces and giving pointers to students new to the practice.

As Cedric does his best to mimic the work of the teacher, he finds his eyes flickering beside him at the cute gryffindor beside him. He can’t help but admire the concentration on your face as you paint and the way your tanned skin seemed to glow in the sunlight.

Soon enough he finds his pencil moving a different direction. Instead of sketching the teacher’s scene, his eyes instead were trained on your wavy hair, bright brown eyes and beautiful smile, letting his pencil roam on the paper until he was satisfied with how it looked.

“Mr. Diggory, could you show your art to the class?” The proffesor smiles, not realizing Cedric had changed his drawing halfway.

The hufflepuff begins to stutter out a ‘no’ as the teacher laughs and pulls him up by the arm.

“No need to be so modest, go on now.”

Cedric looks down to the sketch in his hand before looking back up at your unknowing eyes. He sighs, turning his paper around.

The teacher’s eyes widen and the class bursts into a fit of giggles as your face blossoms into a brilliant shade of pink, Cedric’s mirroring you own.

“Quiet down class!” The professor shouts again. “Your sketch is beautiful darling, now go sit back down.” She smiles apologetically before ushering the brunette back and returning to her lesson.

Cedric can feel your eyes on him, but he refuses to look, afraid of the judgement they’d hold or the disgust on your face.

“Hey, I-I like your sketch Cedric. Would you mind if I kept it?” You gently shake the boy’s shoulders and flash a small smile, pointing down at the portrait.

“O-Oh, of course Diana!” Cedric grins, scribbling his signature on the paper before sliding it over to you.

“I love it, although I think you may have exaggerated my beauty.” You smirk, looking back into Cedric’s grey eyes.

“Are you joking Diana? I don’t think it did your beauty justice.” Cedric replies, his smile growing wider.

“Oh hush Cedric.” You smirk, lightly rolling your eyes.

“No I don’t think I will.” He snaps back, watching your eyes light up and your cheeks blush again.

He loves making you blush with compliments, even just saying a casual “Hello beautiful.” Gets you all blushy and he adores it.

He eventually gets you out of your shell and learns your love for reading and music.

After that he spends many afternoons with you in the library, having you read aloud to him or listening to muggle music through your headphones

Because he’s taller than you he loves using your head as a chin rest when he hugs you.

“Cedric you’re only. couple inches taller than me.”

“All the better to hug you darling.”

To thank him for the sketch you paint a portrait for him and it now besides on the chair next to his bed

He likes writing cute notes and slipping them into your books

“Cedric why are there three sticky notes in my book?”

“I-I accidentally dropped your bookmark and I thought maybe that would make it up to you.”

He loves your sense of humour and he always finds himself clutching his stomach after you hang out because of how much he laughs.

sometimes he’ll get some gryffindors to bring you his sketches and it’s resulted in some very annoyed red head twins

“Here’s the sketch of the week from Diggory, Diana.”

“What’s got you in such a bad mood Freddie?”

“He took it back three times because he has to ‘make it perfect.’” the twin sighs with air quotations.

In Cedric fashion he asked you out by doodling a sketch of the two of you together and writing a little note in the corner.

You almost knocked George over when you bolted out the common room to find Cedric.

Cedric takes you to a little muggle village a little ways away from Hogwarts. The two of you hit a record shop for music, and art store for supplies and a cute bookstore with a café for some rest and cute pictures.

Cedric pulls you to the park in the town and pushes you on the swings like a little kid, enjoying the sound of your laugh in his ears.

while the two of you stop to catch your breath on a park bench, Cedric pulls you two his side and wraps an arm around you.

He looks down and the both of you can feel yourselves leaning in.

You pause for a moment while your lips are an inch away before finally closing the gap between you two.

Cedric tilts his head to deepen the kiss, but the sound of children’s laughter getting closer brings the two of you out of your trance and you begin making your way back to Hogwarts, stealing quick kisses all the way back.

4. Elena x Mateo (Elena of Avalor)

Before I explain why I ship them, I want to tell how I came to know and  start watching this animated series and so shipping Elena with Mateo, then it will be the reasons why. Elena of Avalor, when was first announced to the media, I was curious, because I liked Sofia the First a lot  and the great job Craig Gerber done with it, when a show is introduced before airing, they introduce the important characters of the show, I knew about Elena's character before and I remember I liked the idea and the concept of her character and circunstances since it added more lore and expanded to the world of Sofia The First (yeah, I have thing for lores, world building in no matter media form - be video games, graphic novels, mangás, books, animated series, movies, etc), as I looked over the character's bios and design (I liked the descriptions back in time (the characters I was most interested then was Mateo, Elena and Isabel - I liked the idea of a princess  being an inventor), imediately Mateo got my attention with his promo picture and description, I got the feeling back then he would be my favourite character being a wizard in training and all, it made me a little hopeful about a chance of maybe seeing a wizard and princess (this was before I knew of the whole "avoiding the romance" thing - to me avoiding something is the same as something is present and trying not to get close to it, it's there but won't be part of the plot or to be a subplot, just vague hints, the "elena will not have a love interest", this to me can vary in terms of interpretation about "romantic interest", you can grow to like someone romantically without being interested romantically in the person because liking is different from being interested in someone), but one of the characters was a royal guard (Gabe), my hopes went quite down (since is a classic trope, many different dynamics inside royaltyxroyal guard were explored, there is only 1 exception I give to this trope in shipping but is in somewhere else), as I researched a little more about Mateo, I saw the famous promo duo picture of them, which made me feel a bit more hopeful. I did actually waited for the Secret of Avalor to air before starting to watch the animated series, because I wanted to know how it began first (and the explanation of the change of the new main dress of Sofia in mid-season 3 in Sofia The First), I was actually bit surprised Mateo appeared and played an important role in Secret of Avalor and in freeing Elena and her family, I was already very interested in his character, as seeing the character in action, I was charmed by his character and became instant fave, when Elena and Mateo first meet face to face, you sense and see there is a special connection between them, be it romantic or platonic, that's was when I officially shipped them...

The reasons of why I ship them:

- For starters, I find the special relationship between Elena and Mateo as pretty unusual, between a Wizard/Royal WizardxRoyalty in romantic concept is something I always wanted to see and read for a very long time, unfortunately is almost non-existent, there is only two works of fiction and is in literature, however is for the adult audience (if you're interested - The Royal Wizard (Dragonblood, #1) by Alianne Donnelly and the saga of The Wizard of Bright Isle and both well received in GoodReads, the first mentioned is about a royal wizard woman and a prince, the saga one is between two men (wizard>royal wizardxprince>king) - I'm interested in both, however the saga one, seems to be a bit gory), but for the younger audience, pretty much doesn't exist, it's a very unexplored great potential. Even by close friendship standards is unusual as they are, the royal wizard when friends with the king is usually wise and old, when the same age is like we see with Cedric and his wizard peers, their input isn't valued by the royalty they serve, while Elena and Mateo are both the same age and teenagers, besides in the beginning of the series, they are both in training and gaining experience in their respective fields, Mateo being a wizard-in-training into Royal Wizard (he is still learning how to be one), while Elena is a ruler in training as crown princess into becoming queen, as they grow as individuals, they grow closer together too, It's very easy to tell that Mateo is becoming Elena's right-hand man and confidant.

- The role of Mateo in Elena's life and the show itself is unusual, he plays a key role in the story as much in Elena's growth, even as royal wizard, he is probably the youngest character to become a royal wizard in the media (after him would be Howl from Howl's Moving Castle) and appointed by the crown princess Elena, the most moving part in this, besides Mateo's mom, Elena is the one who believes most in his worth as wizard and royal wizard, even see potential of hero qualities in him (that's a pretty big deal), she believed more in him than Mateo himself.

- One of the traits that makes their connection so special (whether you ship them or not, whether you perceive as romantic or platonic), there is a sense of complementing each other, giving each other what they lack and need, a sense of completion because in the start of the series, Elena is more of a giver and receiver while Mateo is the other way around, it went full circle from "Spellbound" to "Jewel of Maru" in the confidence department, Elena giving Mateo encouragement and Mateo in retribuition of receiving her faith in him, he gives his votes of confidence when she needed it, which made them grow closer together.

- The other reason, it is that I find always so adorable how much attention she gives to Mateo, usually is her who takes iniciative, Mateo at the beginning was always very surprised at the much attention he received from Elena, you could tell from his wide range of facial expressions by wondering if was okay of him to be friends with the crown princess, even when as a wizard-in-training and as royal wizard, even though recently he became used to it, he does still react slightly surprised.

- Another thing I want to note, as is obvious, Mateo isn't afraid to call out on Elena when she makes a misstep while follow and respect her decisions at the same time with unwavering loyalty, and Elena will defend and speak up for Mateo when someone's doubting him. It's quite fun to find hints based on their interactions when you ship them, because isn't something "in your face", their special connection and growing closer relationship, they will eventually becoming lifelong partners in either romantically or platonically, it's displayed ambiguously, it can be interpreted in a romantic or platonic way, I would bet slightly romantic inclined.

Favourite Moments (I will mention the least mentioned, my most memorable is the most mentioned): I love the many moments they have together as much when they're separated thinking of each other...There is no order of preference...

1.I liked how they first met face to face (I think as many wonder, for Elena may have been bit earlier since she watched what was happening inside the amulet, including when Sofia met Mateo), you can tell, there, to me it had the special spark, as Jaquins arrives to welcome Elena being freed from the amulet, as they bow, while Mateo welcomes her excitetly mounted in Luna to falling from Luna's head when Luna bowed to Elena, as when he introduces himself as he bows, not wishing for formal treatment as comes close to his face asking to just call her Elena (in Mateo's house, when few civilians saw Elena and bow to her, it was a bit similar except coming closer or asking to call her by name), so far, Mateo was the first and only person she asked to call her by name on screentime (later was Naomi and then Gabe).

2.Next favourite scene, it might be a small things to many, but I liked in the first episode very much for scenes such when Elena and Naomi was trying to find the boat Isabel and Gabe were, Elena was was informed how the thiefs looked liked and suspected they were magical, I liked that she thought of Mateo with a smirk, as if looking forward to see him again and confident he might know about these magical creatures...I thought it was cute how she connected magical creatures to thinking of someone magical, Mateo.

3.It's followed by the scene above, when they enter Mateo's workshop, as Naomi wonders Mateo wizard get up as bathrobe, Elena explains he is wizard and Mateo extends Elena's answer "in-training", I like how she looks at him as she says "Mateo is a wizard" and Mateo extending feeling humbled and bit shy that she saw him as fully-fledged wizard while Mateo saw himself as wizard-in-training.

4. Of course, the adorable small moments when Elena catches Mateo from falling and vice-versa, it's curious and cute that it starts with Elena but due to Mateo clumsyness or help him finding his confidence - his character development, while when is Mateo catching Elena, it's more plot focused, since he usually plays a key role in the story.

5. In "Island of Youth", I thought was so sweet, when Mateo uses the first time the floating spell on himself, I think is sweet and moving how she whisper "Oh, Mateo." as if praying for his safety with deep fondness for him.

6. There is many moments of the song scene "The Magic Within You", I like very much, but I always giggle when Elena sings the first lines of the lyric about how since she met him for the first time saw that Mateo was meant to be a hero to everyone, because Mateo's expressions between these lines are amusing and bit funny, as we know well before Mateo starting gaining confidence in himself, it's notable he does have a bit of sarcastic self-deprecating humour, his expressions between these lines of this song, he is thinking from how he met her was him falling from a jacquim head to the floor, so you can have a good guess of what he was thinking on those expressions (from remembering about their clumsy meeting with a sad expression to disbelief and wonder how did she saw him potential to be a hero by him falling from a jacquin's head) It always makes me wonder which first time she means? inside the amulet from sofia perspective when first meeting Mateo or face to face, it could be both, hmmm. look at how she looks at him when she sings "The first time that I met you..."

7. "Spirit Monkey Business", one of my beloved favourites scenes of these two, when the Zanies "kidnaped" Mateo as their king "wizard king" while Elena pretends to be queen of the zanies, addresses Mateo as "King Mateo" and asks to walk with "her king", Mateo's response to play along, he stutters a little and little shy, he must have a thought for a moment about this play along and calling her "Queen Elena" (pretending to be a married couple as king and queen of the zanies), but it seems he might haven't been the only one (Elena, after the zanies asking her did they have king And a queen, she went a little nervous when the idea of her and Mateo pretending to be a married royal couple), this scene is so cute, I think it hints a little they were conscious about it, when is as "just friends", you play along without being nervous, usually, I do think it's hinting at something...

Getting Married To Cedric the Sorcerer Headcanons 

He prepares proposing to you for months, and he is terrified

Sofia helps him, obviously- even Amber pitches in! 

“Princess Amber? How come you’re helping me?”

“Oh, I just LOVE love~!”

“I find that hard to believe.” 

Cedric writes down everything he wants to say to you- wanting to make sure 100% that he doesn’t stutter or mess up (of course he does when the occasion rises though, and it’s adorable~)

Sofia proof reads it. “Looks good, Mr. Cedric!”

But then Amber wants to proof read as well, and of course her response is different- she lets out an unsure hum. 

Cedric immediately panics. “What? What’s wrong with it?!”

“It needs a bit more… drama!”

“Amber.. it’s a proposal, not an action scene.”

Sofia reassures Cedric that it’s plenty romantic, and that y/n is gonna love it 

He doesn’t have anything extravagant planned, Cedric’s not one for theatrics in his own life- he’s just really excited (and scared) to propose to you

He simply sits you down in his workshop one day, starting out with “There’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you..”

“Uh oh, that’s never good.” you joke- but it only makes him more nervous- oh dear, this was going to be harder than he thought

Cedric gulps, gently taking your hands in his starting to speak again. As soon as he pulls out the, “we’ve been together for a while.” and “you make me so happy.” you kinda catch onto what’s happening. But he’s stuttering and blushing and mumbling so much you wouldn’t want to make him feel bad by cutting him off. 

Yet you still gasp and cover your mouth in shock after he’s fumbled around in his robe pocket and clumsily takes out that ring box as he gets down on one knee in front of you- you’re just that excited

“Y/n, would you do me the honor of becoming my-”

“Yes.” You say breathlessly, immediately jumping forward to hug him. 

Cedric slowly begins to smile, returning your hug and becoming overwhelmed with joy. He cries a little!!!

When you two announce that you’re now affianced to one another, you’re congratulated by everyone in their own unique ways 

Roland and Miranda are very excited- it reminds them of when they first got engaged, and they’re willing to help you guys out with wedding plans- or if you need any advice in general- you’re both free to come to them :)

Baileywick teases Cedric- claiming he thought he’d “never live to see the day that Cedric gets married.”

Cedric shoots back at him, “One more crack and you may not, in fact, live to see the day”

Amber squeals and asks if she can see your ring- is a little disappointed when she sees it’s not as shiny, sparkly, or diamond-y as she’d hope it’d be, but is happy for you and Cedric nonetheless.  

James is excited for you two! .. And cake, he’s also excited for cake. 

Sofia takes her Mr. Cedric for a talk about how proud she is of him. She’s really happy she’s able to witness him go through such a huge event in his life- as he’s done for her so many times, seeing as she’s only 14. 

Cedric’s glad Sofia gets to help him through this too, she is his best friend after all- and speaking off…

“Sofia, I know you’re already juggling so many things at once- being a protector, storybook keeper, and my apprentice, but I’d like to ask of you one more thing if it’s alright..”

Sofia smiles. “Anything for you, Mr. Cedric.”

Cedric returns her smile. “Well in that case, how would you feel about being my best man? Or in your case.. best woman?”

Sofia gasps happily, hugging her mentor. “I would love to!” 

Sofia can’t wait to be Cedric’s right-hand man- er, woman, at the wedding. She’s also excited that she gets to wear a tux!!! (And while I do enjoy your headcanon- it’s very cute- I just personally can’t see that happening. But Roland would definitely be supportive of Cedric :) )

The news spreads like wildfire- at least to other friends and family, even Merlin ends up hearing about it!

Winifried is basically overjoyed, hearing her little Ceddy-kins is finally get married has got to be the best news of her life!

Goodwyn is proud, very proud of his son- but being the distant soul he is, is very lowkey about it (spoiler, he’s the one that actually ends up crying the most at the wedding- he thinks his beard and mustache can hide it but they all know.)

Cordellia teases- but is nonetheless happy for her dear brother. Though she does jokingly egg on him a little for ‘taking so long’. 

Calista is SO EXCITED FOR HER UNCLE CEDDY!!! She’s asking so many questions! She can’t get enough of this!! Her favourite uncle is going to get married- and now she can have a favourite auntie!!!

Not even a week after releasing the news, you and Cedric receive a letter from an address you’ve never seen before- but Cedric recognizes it. He gasps loudly and for a long time too. 

You look at him funny, chortling. “Okay, who is it?”

He looks at you like young lad on Christmas morning. “It’s from Merlin!” 

You grin and roll your eyes playfully- readying yourself for his intense fanboying.

Opening the letter, both your eyes scan the page carefully. 

‘Dear Cedric the Sensational and Y/n Y/l/n (or, if you’re a sorcerer as well) the/Y/s/n. I am writing to congratulate the both of you on your engagement!’

You and Cedric smile at each other, you put a hand on his shoulder and you both continue reading. 

‘It is my understanding that Princess Sofia has requested I come to officiate your wedding, and I would be most honored to! That is if you’re both willing to accept the offer. I look forward to seeing you two lovebirds finally meet at the alter regardless.Yours Truly, Merlin the Magician.’

“Oh, how sweet of Merlin to offer-” you look over at your future husband, who has already fainted to the floor. 

Of course you’re both accepting. So you take the liberty of writing back.

You and Cedric then go to give Sofia that thank you that you both owe her, to which she cheekily winks and says “Well, I know what a big fan Mr. Cedric is, and who better to officiate your guys’s wedding anyway, right?” 

Cedric gives her a big hug, practically lifting her off the ground.

Eventually the big day comes.. and Merlin’s Mushrooms was Cedric ever nervous.. he doesn’t think he’s ever been so shaky and fidgety in his life 

Cedric is almost in disbelief that he’s getting married, and not only that, he’s getting married to you

Roland calms him down and is more than willing to give him tons of advice- “This is the beginning of what’s going to be the best years of your life, you’ll be fine. All it takes is a little effort.” 

He was right, marriage did take effort. And Cedric was 100% ready to put in that effort for you. He loved you. So so much. 

After that talk, he was feeling a bit better. 

Meanwhile, Sofia asks Violet if she can help you with your hair- which she’s more than happy to do.

“You nervous?” The little Princess asks.

You smile shyly, looking at your reflection. “A little…” your shoulders tense. “Okay, a lot. But who isn’t on their wedding day?”

You compliment on how dapper Sofia looks in her tux, to which she bows and thanks you, giggling. She’s wearing a little lavender bow tie as well!

Sofia tells you how beautiful you look in your dress- if she didn’t know you she’d think you were a princess~

Soon Baileywick enters, telling you it’s time to go

You thank him, telling him you’ll be out in a minute to let Sofia run off to be at Cedric’s side while he stands at the alter.

After letting Sofia scurry ahead, Baileywick offers to take you to the isle. You accept his arm as he tells you how lovely you look. 

You smile and blush, thanking the kind old man. “You know, Baileywick.. I’ve always sort of thought of you as my dad.. and, I’m glad it’s you walking me down the isle..”

Baileywick smiles at you and nods, pleased you think of him that way. “I’m glad to hear that, my dear. You should know I think of you as the daughter I was never able to have.”

You laugh and tell him to stop or you’re gonna cry before you even reach the corridors. 

He chuckles, having his handkerchief at the ready, because the bride crying before even seeing the groom just wouldn’t do.

Eventually, the piano starts to play that classic wedding march, and you and Cedric lock eyes.

He is immediately awe-struck by your radiance in that wedding dress, the glowing blush of your cheeks and smiling lips is memorizing and the way you tried to hide yourself behind your bouquet was adorable 

Sofia sneaks a glance at Cedric- who’s mouth was agape, giggling internally and awing, she closes it for him. Then turns back to you with a smile and a wink. 

As Baileywick walks you down, you know everyone is there- Roland and Miranda- who are smiling lovingly, Amber- who is clasping her hands together and gushing internally, James- who can’t help being a little touched by the scene before him, Winifried- who’s leaning on her husband’s shoulder and smiling, Goodwyn who is holding Winifried’s hand and tearing up, Cordellia- who’s sitting politely and giving her brother a knowing look, and Calista- who’s walking in front of you, throwing flowers up from the little basket she was carrying.

But you weren’t paying attention to any of that, all you could see were Cedric’s warm hazel eyes that were locking onto your e/c ones. You felt warm, but cold at the same time. You felt like a genius for doing this, but also the most foolish woman in the world. You were so aware that this was really happening, but you also couldn’t believe it. You’ve imagined this in your head so many times you felt like you’ve already been through it, but it was so new and exciting- this was definitely an entirely different experience. This was love. It had to be. 

As you two meet at the alter, Baileywick leaves you to Cedric. You both smile at each other. 

“You look beautiful…” Cedric uttered with the biggest, doe-yest eyes at you. He knew it was a cliche thing to say- but it was too true. You did look beautiful- you were the most beautiful woman in the world to him..

You giggled behind your bouquet, shyly blushing. “So do you~”

And he did. Cedric had worn a silky white robe with golden hems and a bit of a shoulder cap- like on his Hexley Hall robe- but much more formal. Apparently, it was his fathers from when he first got married to Winifried. 

You both would’ve stood there forever, simply gazing at each other had it not been for Merlin initiating the beginning of the ceremony. 

“Dearly beloved wizards, royals, family, and other friends, we are gathered here today to celebrate this sorcerer-” he gestured to Cedric, who smiled proudly. “- and this-” he gestured to you. “young lady, in Magical Matrimony.” 

Merlin goes on with the speech, asking you both to please recite your vows. 

Cedric’s are long, now that he thinks back on it, perhaps a bit too long. He was just feeling so much at the time and he had to get it out for you and everyone to hear! 

Your’s are lovely, you’d never say that they were as lovely as his, but you did try. And you really do love him.

And finally, it comes time for the “I do”’s. 

“Now, for the part we’ve all been waiting for!” Merlin declares, chuckling. “Cedric the Sensational, do you promise to care for Y/n as your wife- in sickness and in health, to support her, to treat her with respect, and to love her until death do you part?”

Cedric turns to you, and with the most raw genuineness you’ve ever heard him use in his life, he says, “I do.”

Merlin nods. “And do you Y/n, promise to care for Cedric as your husband- in sickness and in health, to support him, to treat him with respect, and to love him until death do you part?” 

You smile at Cedric, “I do~”

Merlin closes his officiant book and raises his arms. “Then by the power vested in me by the magic of the Mystic Isles, I now pronounce you, husband and wife! You may now kiss the-”

You interrupt Merlin’s speech by pulling Cedric in by the robes to kiss him first- too excited to wait and earning a bit of a muffled noise of shock from your husband. 

Merlin chuckles as he sees this happen and shrugs. “groom, I suppose!” 

There’s now an eruption of cheering, crying and whistling as Cedric slowly starts to kiss you back, smiling into your lips and cradling your waist to bring you in closer to him

Everyone is so happy for you, and as you all dance, talk, and enjoy the evening with one another, you, Cedric and Sofia silently appreciate how for once there’s no evil to fear or fight, no magical quest you all must fulfill together- though those were fun, for just one day, it was all about love.
