Drake has been digging in the basement for weeks now. And when he bares his bright green throat to Basil, tail slicing through the air and eyes tracking Basil’s every move, then Basil knows it is time. He’s been waiting for it since he noticed the gradual colour change to Drake’s scales. And with the way he’s been acting Basil has been keeping his schedule loose. Never good when he’s in a client meeting and Drake comes out from under the couch and drags him into the basement. “Now?” Drake growls, swallows, nods. Words escape him in this state, sometimes.

~Zane~ Noël wanted to see me. He wanted to discuss something important with me. So I headed over. "So, you know how I'm a star? Well, I'm a ghost star." Noël told me. I looked at him in confusion. "Ghost star?" I said, putting my hand to my chest, as I felt a bit of pain. "Yes, everyone else became a ghost star." He said. "But, time has come for you to become like me and them. I'll explain why." I hesitated, but then spoke up. "So why am I feeling sudden pain?" I asked Noël. He chuckled. "Zane, you're coming to the end of your planet phase. You're about to crack open from your shell. You'll die and reincarnate as a ghost star." He told me. I felt more pain and spoke again. "Will I look kind of like you when I reincarnate as a ghost star?" I ask. "Well, not really, but you'll get a guidebook to how to be a good star father. Sylvie the universe creator will drop by after the first few weeks and ask you to create Z's. You have special permission to name one after me and name one after Clothilde." He said, taking a breath before continuing. "You'll look beautiful when you reincarnate and become a ghost star like me." He said. "You can go now. I will see you when you're a ghost star." I walked away from him. I'm the only one left to become a ghost star, Colapop and Kasarin and the 47 others had became ghost stars before me. I was the last one. The only one. It felt lonely. But I knew I was gonna join them soon, so Noël can spend more time with Clothilde... I fell asleep, knowing I was gonna reincarnate and join the 49 others. ~The next morning~ I woke up, and I looked different. I look something like this.

So I went over to Noël and showed him what I looked like. He was surprised. "Ah, yes, you have reincarnated. You will grow your sun rays soon, don't worry. Anyways, here's the guidebook before you leave. I love you, Zane. Make me proud." Noël said as he handed me the guidebook. He smiled at me as I left. I was gonna make him proud for sure. I left through the portal, so I could become a star father. I can't wait to see Pepsi Girl and my polar opposite brother again. I missed them, but I'm gonna see them. I'm starting my new life as a ghost star/star father. This is going to be exciting! ~Fin~

Let’s review how Billy apologist, not just fans, but the apologist types, work.

First, they pose a stupid question.

“Was Billy racist?” “But, is Billy actually racist or just mean?” “Why did Billy target Lucas? It couldn’t have been racism.”

Then they say, “Well, Billy thought Lucas was dangerous.”

No no, Billy was just protecting Max cause Neil is the one who is racist and Max would get in trouble if she was seen with a black kid! Cause that totally makes sense and totally doesn’t mean Billy is also racist.

More like, maybe Billy didn’t think Lucas was threatening enough so he threatened his sister himself in the car and had her in tears just cause she was with a black kid.

Then it’s “BOO HOO, BUT BILLY IS ALSO ABUSED! HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO ABUSE OTHERS NOW AND THEN TO MAKE HIMSELF FEEL BETTER.” and then the “And I’m POC so I’m totally fine with Billy being racist against black people”.

Then it’s “I guess Billy just has to be perfect all the time then huh? He’s not allowed to abuse someone now and then. Do you expect him to be perfect and NOT abuse people? You’re asking too much. 🙄”

And finally, it’s “So you’re the director and get to decide if Billy is racist or not huh? :)  And this may be 2020, but back then in 1985, everything he did was not considered abuse. So take that. :)”

I am so sick of people like this. If you like Billy that’s all well and good. I don’t agree with it, but it doesn’t really matter. If you like Billy the character, you should accept what he was in canon. If fanfiction is your thing and you wanna rewrite it, that’s totally fine! I write and read fanfiction allllll theeeeee timeeeee. Sometimes the fiction of a fiction is better than the fiction.

But don’t go around telling other people Billy wasn’t racist or abusive. He was. That is how he was written. That is why he was introduced into the series. The directors intended for him to be even more overtly racist but the actor didn’t want to go that far. (Not many people like playing the bad guy apparently)

I wish Billy apologists would stop acting so dense about this, it’s so freaking obvious why so many people do not like Billy. Stop acting offended or surprise. Your fanfictions are just that, fanfiction.

Also, it seems people don’t know how racism works. Just cause Billy might’ve been nice to Lucas’s mom doesn’t mean he isn’t racist. That’s such a stupid argument.

1.)How did you get into Dragon Age?

omgthisquestion--LONG ANSWER I’M SORRY. Ah, my SO was actually a huge fan of DA and at the time I think I was into TES or WoW. SO bought DA:I (first mistake) the day it came out, raving about how awesome Origins was and I’m not one to buy into hype, but it was an RPG series I’d never heard of so whatever. One of the nights, turns on the game and I sit on the sofa to watch. SO is playing a Dalish elven mage and I love elves so I thought, ‘hm, this might be all right, I’ll keep watching’. I started solving the Astrariums because I love puzzles and my SO is terrible at them. IIRC, my loveable fool had not spoken to any of the companions back at Haven yet, had just gotten straight to adventuring in the Hinterlands because we’d sorta fucked off in Skyrim the same way😂. Going back to Haven is where I was pulled into the game:

SO: “Oh yea, so we can talk to the companions and like, romance them and stuff.”

Me [almost always plays a belligerent asshole in rpgs]: “Lol, who you gonna talk to first?”

[SO, considering the companions--Solas, Varric, Cass, and Blackwall I think at the time?]

SO: “I think the bald elf is pretty cool.”

Me: “All right, can you piss him off?”

SO, looking at the dialogue wheel > chooses the diplomatic ones

Me, getting angery: “No! Choose the one that makes him mad!”

SO: [flirts instead to spite me] > Solas: “I have yet to see it dominated. I imagine that the sight would be… Fascinating.”

Me, *math lady meme* wtf that was smooth asf: “That’s it, give it over. I’m playing and I’m gonna do it right.”

I never gave the game back.

I made my Dalish mage, beelined it straight back to Solas and tried to piss him off by asking him questions because my logic was ‘asking lots of questions is annoying right?’. My SO is just watching the whole time laughing as [Solas slightly approves] [Solas slightly approves MORE] my plan fell to shambles. Grew to love Solas, started playing more thoughtfully, learned the lore, ended the game, and 1,000 years later am writing fanfiction about Solas and got into drawing so I could draw Solas, and am neck-deep in tinfoil theories/lore/have played all the games multiple times. asdfkjgnjkh

THE ONLY REASON I LOVE DA IS FOR SOLAS.
