i was a bit unsure before, but now that i saw this concert meme made by chinese fans, chengling definitely has aroace vibes

to understand the meme, basically:

the “cheng” (成) in chengling’s name (成岭) is the same character as one used in an idiom: “cheng shuang cheng dui” (成双成对), which means to be in a pair/in pairs, which can refer to couples.

the meme-makers have taken the idiom apart into two, “cheng shuang” (成双) and “cheng dui” (成对), which still makes sense in chinese.

in each pic, they put these two words above wenzhou and caoxiang, and then put just “chengling” (成岭) above chengling. so each pic reads (in different orders):

> cheng shuang (in a pair), cheng dui (in a pair), cheng ling

so basically this is a meme using a pun to mock how single chengling is compared to everyone else around him, like being the lonely one in the group. it would be the equivalent of if you put something like “in love”, “in love”, and “ingrid” in english.

Oh pooog! I don't talk a bunch about dadgem do I? haha, probs cuz the plot is a WIP currently, but heres the gist of it;

Smth smth bad gems don't like era 3, took out most of the cgs along with Steven and connie (they arent dead they are MIA). smth happened with Steven during the kafuffle and it ends up with steven looking like a teen again. Priyanka, Doug and Greg are there to help him recover (Von is there too) and the idea is that they are working towards saving everyone, until then, Dadgem and Von have fun (or not so fun) bonding shenanigans.

Currently, I'm slowly working towards making it's plot more coherent and presentable as I want to tell a story with it (which isnt guaranteed but im trying lol). For now people can have fun with the concept as it is atm (as I too will have some fun with it, less brain power ha)

I do have a blog for the au @restore-the-universe, it's a bit old and a bit edgy, keep in mind if theres stuff u see for plot (ie; fics, Q&A, or comics), unless I make an official announcement, know they are currently outdated, but it's content u can look at to get some feel for the au (you can also find some cringe ahh ahh fic writing attempts from me there loool) If you have more questions about the au- or smth wasnt clear- feel free to ask on this blog or the au one, it tickles my brain to get workin on the au more

Allow me a moment of a controversial opinion, I actually like Tumblr’s ‘for you’ page because it’s a lot easier for me to see new art and find new artists as opposed to my regular dashboard where it’s mostly non art related text posts and memes despite how many artists I follow lol

So long as those two timelines remain separate and I can keep my dash where it’s just people I follow in chronological order, I’m honestly fine with them tbh :’D

hmm... been thinking about how i want the tagging system for this blog to work. i think it would be a good idea to tag specific disabilities/disorders as well as mobility aids so if people come on this blog wanting to see highly specific content they can find it. but also ive seen disabled people say they don't like fandom stuff being posted in disability related tags which i can totally understand i can remember instances where ive looked up a specific disability on here and was greeted with x reader fanfiction and got pissed off. i don't wanna be That Guy you know ..
