happy 25th birthday techno, not a day goes by where the world doesn’t miss you. o7 rest in power
I’ve heard of a sky with a thousand suns
Just beyond a veil.
I’m told the wonder’s beyond reproach
And our world - but a mirror - seems pale.
You left to see those thousand suns
That cast the heaven’s light.
There are no shadows in that world, just endless sunlit skies.
So when my star grows old and pale
And burns out like a lamp
I’ll join you in that land of suns and see you once again.
Here are the closeups, tumblr did in fact eat the original lmao

I do regret that business with Luke. I lost my temper that day. I am sorry for it. I am glad to hear it.

If Einstein was alive he would leave America now. Why do I assume that? Based on these points:
1. We see Jewish students and professors being denied entry to universities, exactly like Germany in the 1930s. One of the main reasons he left Germany was due to his academic career being affected by these bans on Jews.
2. Left Germany when antisemitism rose. We are now experiencing the biggest surge in antisemitism in America since the holocaust, and as opposed to the 1930s in the US, this time it's led by the mainstream and not fringe political cells.
3. Albert Einstein was a zionist. He supported his people's aspirations to reestablish their homeland in their ancestral land, and donated to the cause. He was even offered the position of the first president of Israel, but refused. He left his library to the Hebrew University after his death, and you can even go over his books in the University if you want, it's still there!
4. Jews are already leaving the American academy, and Israeli academy came out with a statement today that any Jewish person in academy is welcome to join and will receive support in any way needed to fit in and find a similar position. When you're denied education in one place but welcomed at another, you tend to choose those who want you, like the US has welcomed academic refugees from European universities in the 1930s.
I think it's safe to say that he wouldn't be happy with the direction the USA is taking. Just be careful, because last time Jews left a place due to antisemitism, they invented the atomic bomb. When Jewish minds come together, they achieve great things, and you don't want those minds to leave your country...

something i enjoy about blitzø as well is that he's not a typical leading man for an action show, nor is he a typical leading man for a queer show. he's capable and got that "extremely bad at communication" thing down you might see in a lot of narratives about straight guys (especially straight guys who shoot guns) but i think is less explored with queer men, and he's also incredibly camp without any shame attached to queerness itself, he crossdresses, he's a punky goth gay, he flirts relentlessly (and often unhealthily) to get what he wants, he's got that kinky switch energy, and he's exuberant, and emotionally closed off, and incredibly rude, and very sad, and very caring, and very action-hero/anti-hero, and all in a narrative that explores these dynamics from an explicitly queer point of view.
i think it's amazing that he's as well-received as he is, considering how much he exists outside of clear categories for what people think a character "should" be, but i've seen him play well for bro-ey types as well as the most faggoty audience members (that's me), and the translation isn't for the queer audience to make, it's for straight audiences to get onboard with a complex queer character and it clearly works!
there's really something to be said about the queer lens for both of the shows, but i do think blitzø has such a specific fascinating pov for what one might call the "badass action guy who's also great at seduction" type character. he's really hitting some extremes for the spectrum of how one typically allows characters to exist
a queer masculinity in a genre show

I love the QSMP. Not only has it introduced me to many amazing international creators, it's also introduced me to the French and Brazilian community, who are so sweet, funny, and chaotic in their own unique ways. I love seeing fans sharing their culture and learning from one another, and I myself have learned a lot this past year. I think it's incredible how QSMP brings so many different people together – all of us united in our love and passion for this project and its goals.
But passion can often evoke strong emotions, and these strong emotions aren't always positive.
The past few months, I have seen multiple waves of hate, bad-faith generalizations of communities, and racist remarks directed at fellow fans – especially those who are part of the French / Brazilian community. This kind of behavior is inexcusable, and is in direct conflict with the mission of QSMP, which is to break language barriers and unite communities.
We are a global community with a variety of people from different backgrounds. Miscommunications may occasionally occur because of cultural differences and/or language barriers, but we should use these moments as opportunities to learn and engage with other people rather than assuming the worst about them and starting fights.
Although certain issues can be resolved with communication, sometimes it’s better to block and move on. Avoid spreading negativity or hate, and save yourself the headache of interacting with people who are just looking for someone to argue with.
No matter what community we're a part of or what languages we speak, we're all here to have fun. Please remember to be kind to each other. We have more in common than we have in conflict.

I thought wed established that Doctor Who isn’t a sci-fi show. The critics about character dévelopement are valid I will give that, but I don’t agree when we start speaking about hard logic and the genre rules of sci-fi series.
Doctor Who is not Star Trek, it’s an adventure sitcom set in outer space.
I mean we all have different approaches and expectations when watching a show. But I promise, watching Doctor Who like it’s not a silly fun timey Wimey series will always lead to disappointment and plot holes.

I made her leave him alone right after taking this pic but it's so so cute to me that Egon will not happily share food with any other animal in the house except Nadja. She's the only one who doesn't get an annoyed yip for getting too close.
