Wander Dr. Doran! Yeahh :) (Patreon)
#Doodles#Wander Over Yonder#Wander#I mean Dr. Doran totally :)#SCII#Helix#ZEX#DAX#The Captain#Of course now that I feel a bit more confident drawing Wander on-model I turn him human - such is the way lol#Aghhh I'm so excited to implement him haha <3#All speculatives I'm just too excited haha I have him all figured out >:3c#First off tho - VUX would fit in perfectly to the BG of WOY imo they're adorable and I think Wander would genuinely love ZEX#Depending on which areas of the fandom you poke around in I think they'd have some ahem overlap to bond over lol#Star-faring romancing it's all very cute and wholesome of course hehe <3#But even outside of that even if it went The Lonely Planet type of way I /still/ think Wander would like him a lot :)#Friendly aliens spreading the message of free love through the galaxy! Sounds about right haha#Also attempting drawing him in the WOY style agh he's so cute I love him sm <3 <3#Okay now back to Dr. Doran lol he was meant to be the focus anyway just - the cutes! I cannot but the cutes you understand#There's more later but the basics of him so far is he tends to take the younger residents at the Institute#I love the cast of doctors but really Wilson was probably the most personable and I feel like I've made my opinions of his competency known#Wander's great with kids! His office is set up to be very inviting and friendly and unintimidating - fits his personality!#Candy and huggables and stim toys - y'know a Therapist's office lol#With a specialization in pediatric therapy but with Wilson cough cough ''missing'' (lol) he can take on a bit extra hehe#Of course he still has his own quirks - Wander's OCD and trichotillomania for example - just in a different context :)#The doctors' brainwashing is so interesting agh the entire concept sets my brain on fire <3#Anyway I am soooo looking forward to their scene together aghhh <3 <3 How to embarrass Zelnick The Worst :3c#Such a shame DAX will be elsewhere lol what will he do with himself in the meanwhile!#Nobody here likes the therapists it's fine that he gets to miss out hehe <3 He was so put out by the warning hehehe I love them ♪

Why didn't you guys tell me how fun roleplaying as Venigni is. Why didn't you. /s
For real though, he and P are playing a game and talking about sexy things and it's both funny and cute. Will they kiss???? I dunno but I think that'd be neat.
Someday I will write a fic about Lorenzini Venigni. I have zero ideas, but I am writing it down. I am taking notes. I am a lover of the man Lorenzini Venigni.

i really want to start making a table collecting statistics on the audience demographics i'll perform my aubrey material for (like what generation most of the audience is, whether i'm performing in a predominantly queer space, etc.) and how well the jokes land bc like. i need to collect more data points before i can properly present my findings but the results so far have been fascinating
#again i do not have enough performance experiences to make any definitive claims about who ''aubery's audience'' is#but i find it funny that any time i show my aubrey material one-on-one to a queer gen z person#they're always like ''i love it but straight people will definitely hate it or not get it''#and i get the inclination to be like. ''i like this thing so people like me will like this thing''#and cishet society seems so polarized w/r/t queer topics it's like. the assumption makes sense#however. whenever i've done an aubrey performance in front of an audience that's predominantly queer and gen z#i've actually received a primarily negative response!! and somehow straight people have never given me shit for my aubrey material#(''well straight allys don't count'' i told some of my aubrey jokes to a joe rogan dudebro and he enjoyed them)#(which yeah maybe could be a mark against my comedy but i like to think i opened his mind a bit at the very least)#i really want to test my aubrey monologues in front of a primarily gen x/boomer audience#bc so far i only have actual performance experience in front of gen z or millennials#and the older people i've told jokes to individually or shown videos of my stuff have really liked it#luckily paul has said a goal for when i'm in town this summer is to get me to perform my aubrey stuff in as many different places as possib#for both queer audiences and non-queer audiences so i can gauge reactions since i don't want to be confined to one demographic#so i'll get a lot of data points this summer#@ paul get me a performing slot at senior citizen pride lmao these are my people#(shoutout to paul going ''jess stop collecting the old homos!'' last time i was in town)#(and when i imitated him and was like ''old gay men are not your pokemon!'' bellini was like ''ok but they may be your audience'')#also one data point i really want to see the variation on is how my one specific joke plays in these different demographics#bc i have a joke that like. it's literally not even about AIDS and doesn't punch down at all#i literally say ''if you're gay and over the age of 50 you could violate the geneva convention and i'd still be like support our troops''#like obviously being like ''you have been through hell so i will let you get away with literal war crimes you deserve ultimate immunity''#BUT. in the line right before the quote i use the phrase ''AIDS generation'' not as a derogatory term but being like.#this horrible thing impacted the entire generation y'know? and bellini and scott and their friends call themselves that it's just the term#but when i said the phrase ''AIDS generation'' in front of my gen z audience i heard gasps and felt like they all hated me#and when i did the same line in front of millennials it wasn't quite as striking but their eyes did widen#like i was suddenly an ''edgy comedian''. but like this is a part of our history and it does inform the story i'm telling#the story i'm telling is comedic but it's grounded in this real world context#and i'm like. @ the audience who was offended: when was the last time any of y'all spoke to a gay man over the age of 50#bc bellini loves that section of the monologue and was offended that people would even take offense to that phrase

still on my TOMC au so here be a swap!Manny since i be rotating the he
like usual i'll blab more under cut as well as the cropped versions
okay so he plays more into the fact this isn't exactly just everything opposite, since you can't make a morally opposite version of Manny and also cause its more interesting
basically its more differences coming from the fact those around him and experiences would make him different from canon, if the canon version is best described as a hero with villain tendencies then this guy is a villain with hero tendencies
continuing more with that he actually thinks things through more often, due to mainly having to spend time with his best friend by studying together, having to sneak about to do what he wants more often, and just general more scheming due to his dad being a villain he relies more on stealth and strategy then brute force and instinct

the deeper i get into my studies on my own theology as a theistic luciferian, the deeper i get into my studies of christianity and the beauty contained within the teachings and the stories, and its so funny how i find myself gaining a new respect for the faith through the lens of someone who practices by putting their soul into it, and not in the weird, passive and psuedo-capitalistic way of worship that i was raised with. the genuine adoration that radiates from your blog and your writings is breathtaking in its beauty to me, i cannot describe how much i admire you and your dedication to helping others. ironically i find it kind of endearing how our faiths cannot be separated as i owe so much to yours. it's with the deepest love and respect in my heart that i wish you the best, and that our separate journeys guide us to peace, happiness, enlightenment, or whatever we wish. i don't really have much of importance to say, just that i hope you're having an absolutely lovely day. hope this wasn't too cheesy, thank you for helping me learn.
Thank you and you're welcome, beloved.
This is so interesting to me and makes so much sense! It's something that I've noticed with a lot of spiritual/religious beliefs related to Lucifer/similar figures & practices--they're kind of Christian in nature? Or at least, as you said, inseparable. The word "lucifer" comes from a translation of the Bible, which to me always implied a valuing of the Bible in some way, even if only to hate it. Like even people who consider themselves directly opposed to Christianity (like atheistic Satanists) are describing their beliefs in relation to Christianity. Thanks for putting into words and being open about this! I have a lot to learn, but it's always nice to know there are people who know more that agree with me. :)
It brings me so much joy that you've found value in my words & the Christian faith, and I think it's great (as well as funny) that I've somehow created a Christian space that a Luciferian feels comfortable in. Truly there are so many chairs at our spiritual table, and so many rooms in my Father's house.
I wish you the best also, that you find what you're looking for in your faith, that it guides you and gives you meaning, that it enables you to love the universe and others. Love is all I ever ask of anyone, and I see and love how much you have.
<3 Johanna
p.s. Can I say may God be with you? By that I mean, may the universe and love be with you, because those are the same things to me. Whatever that means to you, I trust you get the point. (Good vibes.)

Actually I'm like going insane about Tenna and how they might be executed in the story bc like. They're gonna have to either make him EXTREMELY charismatic to the point whatever crimes they committed can be overlooked or they're gonna have to be like Actually Big Shot Spamton Wasn't So Okay like. There's... So much weight to the actions of a character we haven't even met it's hard to not be like Damn This Tenna Guy Sucks. But what if he DOESN'T suck? Like literally anything could happen. It makes me so excited.

On a post about antisemitism your concern isn't even about antisemitism. You gentiles would rather rationalize antisemitism than care for us. And when we say this, you label us as Zionists to effectively silence us. Every instance of antisemitism is met with a justification.
And guess what, if you're willing to allow antisemitism against Israelis "because Palestine", that is Jew hatred. If your reaction to any post about antisemitism since October 7th is immediately to think of ways that it's okay since they may be Zionists, you are antisemitic.
My concern is about reality. The truth is your ally too, even if it doesn't support every point that has ever been made by anyone purporting to advocate on behalf of Jews.
I am not willing to allow antisemitism against Israelis "because Palestine", thanks for asking. Again, I've argued against that when such things have crossed my dash and will continue to do so. What I am willing to do is interpret a protest outside an israeli real estate expo as something other than antisemitic.
Have you ever hear the expression "the exception that proves the rule"? It sounds like terrible logic, waving away a counterexample. But what it actually means is that when something is notable as an exception, it demonstrates the underlying assumption that there is a general rule.
The general rule in this case, as a reminder, is "it is, obviously, fucked up and antisemetic to march through jewish neighbourhoods or rally outside synagogues".

if there's one thing i hate more than slackers in group projects its goddamn hypocrites
#this guy did jack shit for two full weeks when we're building the damn prototype#but STILL brought up the fact that most of our team blew off a report till the last minute in the beginning of march#*prototypes don't work* “sEe tHis iS wHy wE nEedEd tO hAvE a cOnvErsaTioN aBouT MS3”#like hon you lost the rights to the “y'all need to contribute more” argument the moment you left me hanging for 2-3 FUCKING WEEKS#like excuuuuuse me you been prioritizing extra curriculars all week get off your high horse stop lecturing everyone else about contribution#he made maybe 3 contributions? maybe?#first he 3D modeled an adapter and sent it to someone else to print (couldn't even do THAT himself smh)#then he sent the gc a sketch of an idea i roughly proposed literally the NIGHT BEFORE as his own contribution (that I ENDED UP BUILDING#then he...screwed on a few pipe fittings and called it a project :)#would be a LOT less pissed if he didn't show up to One Thing outside weekly team meetings/class#then apologize for slacking off BUT then launch into a FUCKING SPEECH ABOUT HOW HIM BEING HERE PROVES HIS COMMITTMENT#all because he DOESN'T LIKE GETTING UP EARLY. like sir. sir i am rIGHT FUCKING HERE. i was up till 4-5am working on this stfu#we've been building for three weeks and he's come into work on stuff wo me there ONCE for an HOUR#for context id spent about fifteen hours in the shop alone working on the fucking thing that WEEK#like im trying to be understanding ik tech week is hell#but i took “stepping back” as “i only have a few hours here and there to be in the shop and will do the writeups”#NOT “won't show up outside meetings AND we're splitting slides and writeups 80/20”#like id been in the lab all fuckin day and notice we have an assignment due (missed a SINGLE meeting due to exam)#and i ask him if theres anything i can do (and im thinking like look it over maybe add a spec or two)#and this fucker has the AUDACITY to ask me to write the full four paragraph summary cause he#*checks notes* copy-pasted some specs from milestone 3 so of COURSE its only fair that despite the fact I've been in the lab ALL DAY#that i write the four fuckin paragraphs too#course we're troubleshooting and he's like “did you clean the pump? did you disassemble it and rinse it?” like yes???#i did EVERYTHING i could think of before i even bothered texting you cause i know you're fucking useless#and then he raises fifteen different concerns which while valid would have been NICE TO HEAR WHEN I SENT YOU MY INITIAL DESIGNS#y'know BEFORE i spent over fifteen hours of my free time building this damn thing#with slackers i just pick up the work and move on with my life this idiot is trying to gaslight me into thinking that he contributed fairly#when i heard “i need to step back due to play stuff” i thought we'd be splitting it like 65:35 NOT FUCKING 95:5#and now hes probably going to give ME a poor peer review because I've been passive aggressive with him in the few meetings he showed up to#like i got shit going on too? how the fuck does he expect me to respond to being abandoned to do this shit myself

granted i grew up in a fairly large family (the kind where it seems like every year someone had a new baby lol) so i have a lot of experience taking care of them, but ive never understood the vitriol against kids
not wanting to be a parent, i totally understand. hating messes and screaming i get; pretty much everyone hates those. but pure hatred i do not get
#like. i know saying 'kids are just little people who are still working shit out' sounds like a shit post but it's honestly the truth!#children aren't a different species than us. they function very much the same as any adult does#its just that 1) everything is new to them and 2) their world is a lot smaller than an adult's#a skinned knee is the worst thing a 2 year old has ever experienced#a standardized test is extremely stressful when you're 8#a friend playing with someone else at recess is a deep betrayal when you're 11#as adults we remember those feelings but in the context of our adult lives they feel silly#they aren't silly to kids though#i feel like kids become a lot less alien if you remember that#they really are little humans! they can be rude and loud and messy and cruel. but not uniquely so#and i will reemphasize that its fine if you don't want to be a parent#society might demand it (especially of women) but its not for everyone#hell i love kids and have taken care of them for my whole life but often even i question if i want kids#just. don't be a dick#mickey.txt#also im thinking about cheyenne lin's video about kids under capitalism#especially the bit about how people who grew up wealthy and/or in the suburbs are often the ones#who complain online about children. possibly because they're used to having space and quiet#and not being inconvenienced by others in public spaces. like obviously based on polling data she didn't run#so its not like a guaranteed scientific fact. but i think it does play a factor in a lot of cases#like the hyper-individualism of it all y'know?
