No Tricks, Only Treats, Baby! (An Elvis and Jane Writing Prompt Game Halloween One Shot)

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! This is my absolute favorite time of year, I live for spooky season so I suggested a Halloween/autumn theme for our little group (@thatbanditqueen, @ellie-24, @whositmcwhatsit, @vintageshanny, @from-memphis-with-love, @be-my-ally, @missmaywemeetagain) to do for the writing prompt game. I do apologize that mine is soooo late but this week was crazy busy and I didn't have as much time to write as I would have liked. But that's ok because posting mine on Friday the 13th seems appropriate for me because well, this is me and this is my time of year. It's always Halloween in my soul. 🎃

So, that said, here is my little contribution for Elvis-O-Ween. This is pure fluff and smut and I had entirely too much fun writing it. I hope it ends up being worth the wait for you guys. As with my previous one shot with these two, nothing relevant to the plot of the main story except for the explanation behind Elvis's nickname for my OC Jane. Other than that this can stand alone. And I do promise the next chapter of the main story is coming soon, it got set on the back burner for a bit so I could have some Halloween fun with these 2 so I hope you'll forgive me. So, some Youtube Halloween nerding... 

“That thing” ... is a nose.   A video covering every major type of bat!   I got to thinking about spacebats / Hordak’s species, naturally...  While they might not technically be bats (I heard that the crew didn’t really have that in mind, so the bat-features are more of a fanon thing), well, going with the fanon...  I wonder what type of bat they might be most closely related to / genetically engineered up from / simply most like?   (And, hey, I learned something from this video!  Apparently, leaf-nosed bats are like that because they echo-locate from their noses while bats with more normal looking noses or just snub-noses echolocate from their mouths... and big fruit bats don’t echolocate at all!)   I think Hordak is what this guy would call a “mouth-screamer.”  That is, if he echolocates.  Prime and his Little Brothers seem to have the snub noses.  Also Hordak yells a lot.�� With his mouth.   Yes, this is what fandom brainrot does to me... trying to do taxonomy for fictional space aliens.

I realized today that I had not announced this year's Halloween costume yet. I know y'all wait with the most baited of breaths to see what I will do. I went as teenage Lydia a few years ago, but it's grown-up time now. I just need to finish styling the wig. All other pieces of this costume already existed in my wardrobe.
