wondering if percy’s memory that hermes triggered (“being so close to someone you love, knowing neither of you has any choice but to keep hurting each other”) is a suppressed/erased memory of poseidon once visiting him as he waited in the car while sally spoke to the principal of his first school that wanted to kick him out. in the books, percy remembered some of poseidon when he was just an infant but in this he didn’t seem to know anything about his father till the cabin conversation. i’m guessing the visit ended terribly and that is why percy was forced to forget it and poseidon doubled down on having no interactions with percy whatsoever after that.

my first thought was actually about percy and sally themselves fulfilling the memory. that percy feels like he has been hurting sally by not being a good student, by making her come to his schools (if that building in the background is a school) and plead with his teachers to give him a chance and overall considering himself a problem child. but here the hurt is not reciprocal (from sally’s end) as hermes’ words seem to imply. not that percy actually hurt sally with this (sally would tear up if she heard percy speak that way) and neither do i think he actually hurt poseidon – not intentionally. but like emotionally, circumstantially like the case seemed to be with hermes.

Hi guys, I'm getting some DMs and Anon Asks showing me pics of...

Susie Evans having posted IG stories traveling. Some people are convinced one of them shows she was on flights on British Airways and one possibly from the hotel where Sam usually stays in London...it COULD be that she flew to visit Sam in London, we did get that fan sighting of him with a female in London. BUT, as I said in my Announcement, I really only want to post when I have concrete proof, or dots that connect so directly that there's only one conclusion to come to.

The way Leona's overblot was held will forever be so little. (Thank god for character studies) The man literally tried to kill Ruggie, and he gets a free pass over that, besides getting scolded ig. The same could be said about Jamil but that's an entirely different thing, and different circumstances. And the 'he's a minor/child' can't be held as an excuse for Leona's actions since he's canonically an adult. Mans could've gotten a huge jail sentence. (which would not of looked good to the Kingscholar family lmao)

Idk, I understand that they need to keep the action and story going, but I would've loved to see the characters actual progress past their overblots and how they are currently dealing with it. Is that stupid? haha

I find it funny how two of the OB boys with the highest public visibility (Leona, Vil) are the ones who actively tried to kill someone else 🤔 but in the end, neither of them got away with it I guess murderers aren’t marketable for The Mouse, so I guess it gets excused since the crime technically wasn’t carried out in full? And it’s like we have anything beyond circumstantial evidence and shaky eye witness testimony to incriminate them of having an intent to kill. bcjsbsjdndks Episode 2’s writing was still definitely pretty weird overall 💦

We do technically get to see the characters progress post-OB and how they’re dealing with their own circumstances, it’s just not made to be a major point of focus in subsequent chapters. I can understand the reasoning to write it this way, as it can get cluttered and confusing to constantly cut away from the current episode to catch up on or to dedicate entire segments to seeing how other characters are doing.

Another thing to note is that change is not always immediately visible. It would be unrealistic to see major strides in every character, and even if a character did undergo significant change, those changes may not always be easy to spot at a glance because said changes are often internal, not external. Not everyone progresses at the same rate, either. Everyone is unique in their efforts to change, and this is something that cannot simply be standardized or summarized in the main story by hand holding and following a character as they develop.

I think revisiting the characters to see how they’ve changed in small ways is best done subtly through brief cameos, which is what TWST has been doing for most of the main story. It’s these little things that help build to climactic acts and great changes, like what we later see in episode 6 😌

The problem is not tae but jikookers. jikookers are starting to become the new taekookers, with their theories "jikook are private, they can't appear together in public" or "jimin was sleeping or hiding in the bathroom". Why jikookers can't accept that Jimin wasns't there, and he didn't go to Jk's home even if Jk invited him. You can't change the narrative when you want. First, jikook were the members always together and blah blah. No problem. Now, jikook are the private couple lmao. Sure. Jimin and Jungkook could meet if they want. Everytime Jk invited Jimin, he knew that Jm was working lmao. And when Jm was free like the last night, he didn't go to Jk's anyway .... so when exactly they meet in person? Jikookers last months ago: "Jm is so busy! And Jk can spend time with friends!!" Jimin is not busy anymore, what is your new excuse... How can you be so delulu...(not you, I mean, jikookers with their delulu theories).

Shippers…all shippers have theories and speculations…it comes with the territory. Not seeing all and not knowing the people personally makes minds run wild. Some ships have more circumstantial evidence than others but really it’s all a whole lot of a filling in blanks.

There’s ALWAYS been speculation with jikook…from the theories about hiding in hotel bathrooms, theories about secret codes, speculations about living arrangements, theories about fights, the meanings of bandaids…you name it. Jikook has never been immune from this.

The difference between TK and Jikook is that the TK ship is based on the narrative that Jimin is a flirtatious home wrecker (putting it mildly) and in the way of Tae and JK’s happiness. This story is so widespread and ubiquitous in the fandom that even non shippers know about it and absorb parts of it into their view of Jimin. It also has caused some overzealous fans to start to hate Jimin because they perceive him as a threat.

Unfortunately all the hate towards Jimin over the years has caused some jikook shippers and Jimin fans to have some negativity towards Tae and they now perceive him as the cause of Jimin hate. (He’s not. Tae cannot be held accountable for the actions of his fans) Tae and Jimin claim each other as besties to this day. And I have no reason to believe anything has changed. He would never be a JM anti.

Also BTS is on a break…we see them even less. This leaves time for fan imaginations to run amuck. And while this was common to find in the TK ship, since there was no tangible evidence of extraordinary closeness since like 2015 …it’s new (and noticeable) for jikookers.

Jikook is a ship that has been sailing (with the aid of JM and JK tbh) for years. They were in content together regularly and we were spoiled. Now we actually still are spoiled (comments on lives and weverse, cameo in a behind, JK doing his own Jimin reaction video) but it still feels like not enough because it’s far less than what we had.

So while I can see some of your points anon, I cannot agree with your ultimate conclusion. It’s not delusional to think Jikook still interact even without “seeing” it. With all that they’ve said about each other over the years and with all they said and shown now…

1- JM saying he’s seen all of JK’s lives

2 - JK knowing Jimin’s songs and choreo

3- JK asking Jimin over on his lives - yes I think they’ve seen each other but not as often because of work

4- Jimin wanting JK to visit him at work more often

5- JK’s Jimin themed live - this was a big example of who Jimin is to JK imo

6- Jimin putting a JK clip in his IG story

…there’s no reason to think they still aren’t close.

Thank you so much for your lengthy response giving your opinion on his posts. Follow up, do you think his behaviour in any way is being done to hide, or share his relationship(if that’s what you can call it) with KE or honestly any woman? From hearing about his past and reading here it seems alot of people feel he does what he does in some way to bring light to his relationships or hide them. Do you feel he sees or knows what people (mostly here as far as I can tell - meaning Tumblr not just your blog) say about him, find out about him and then his posting is in response to that. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again.

The theory that he hides or shares these let's call it dates, comes mostly from narratives that either see him married to C or he needs to hide he's gay. They think he leads us deliberately to these women, to distract the fandom from his marriage to C, or to give him an image of womanizer to pretend he's into women, as a gay actor would be discriminated. That's roughly what it comes down to.

I surely don't believe in the theory that he needs to hide a marriage with his co-star. Besides that it doesn't make much sense to me to do so even if they were in a relationship, we've clearly seen over the years that they're both living their own lives, very different ones and during hiatus seldom are at the same locations.

About his sexuality and the theory he needs to hide it to get better chances at roles. I just say, I haven't seen any factual evidence, only very circumstantial and out of context taken tweets, he's denied it himself a number of times, and last but not least, there are several actors that are gay and get fine roles. The discrimination isn't gone but isn't the way it was anymore as it is not a shame to be gay. (proof, f.i. Jonathan Bailey and there are many more) Further more is somebodies sexuality nobodies business, it is only important for people that would like to have a (sexual) relationship with each other. As an extra note here I do have to mention, that in the beginning when S was casted, there was an immediate discussion on the forum of DG about his sexuality. It seemed that some book fans would have a problem with a gay actor playing their Jamie. It's sad but it is true that it happened. Another note on this theory is that he often uses awkward terms or not gender specific terms, like partner or company or he turns a question about women into something related with his mom. It doesn't contribute to the clarity and feeds the gay theory somewhat.

But let's entertain the option he's hiding something and therefor leaves breadcrumbs for us to follow and find out about his so called dates. It all starts with following these women, either by him and/or by people associated with him. It's obvious he follows a 'certain type' of women, and some might be only fitness related, but you can't help to notice. And I mean not only by us here on Tumblr, the average fan that follows him on IG must see a fair amount of the ladies he follows too as IG gives you suggestions to follow accounts related to the people you follow. Now what kind of image is that giving him? I fail to see how that can be better PR than a 'supposedly' relationship with his co-star or being 'supposedly' gay. If you add to that his fetish for tattoos last summer and some of the girls he started to follow 🙈. If that's what his PR team has been advising him, then he should immediately fire them and find a new team.

Does his PR team also advice him to 'slide into DMs' to make it all more convincing? You can deny he slides into DMs, but there's actual proof. Monika A told us about it in her podcasts and her tiktok video's showed part of the convo's (okey she's questioned a lot, but it's out there). Another one that said so was Mary Fitzgerald from Selling Sunset and recently in the podcast of Deuxmoi with Paige Woolen telling how she matched with him on Raya and DM-d with him. See (listen to) my post of May 21. So he clearly does slide into Dms and tries to date them. Were the street videos of him with AM and later on with KK deliberately staged for PR? The papped pics with MC did look suspicious, but by who was the photographer tipped? And did he knowingly posted that pic with KE's dog in it? I personally think the 'playbook' that is mentioned so often, has been written for 80% by the fandom itself.

I think he has a sense of what has been written about him over here (not just my blog). At least he knows about the shippers. Are his posts a direct response on it. Don't really think so, maybe sometimes after he finds out but mainly via other ways, not perse by reading this (or other) blogs on Tumblr. (I had angry Anons telling me they've sent all screenshots to him and his team and I don't know who else, but if he looks at that? 🤷‍♀️)
