NEW YORK

2024 July 29 (Mon) – I had a check up with the surgeon this morning. He says I am still experiencing an allergic reaction to the ointment. He prescribed steroid eye drops and told me to come back in 2 weeks. I said thanks, told the nurse I didn’t have my calendar with me and would call for the appointment, then left. We are outta here!

We took Miranda, Ken & Caiden out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse tonight. The food was great.

2024 Jul 28 (Sun) – After church, we brought Caiden and his friend, Josh, out to Susan’s house for a last BBQ before we leave. The boys had a great time.

2024 Jul 25 (Thu) – Still struggling to heal from the eye surgery. My eyes don’t seem to be healing as fast as I think they should. It turned out that the bacitracin I was putting in my eyes four times a day for a week was not good. The doctor said I had an allergic reaction. I wake in the mornings and my left eye is sealed shut. I have to put a warm washcloth on it to get it to open. My right eye still have bloody discharge. The doc says it takes 3-6 months to recover from eye surgery and I just need to be patient.

We are anxious to get back on the road again. July is just about done. All we have is August to check out Michigan and Wisconsin for next year’s caravan. We need to get out of here!

2024 July 19 (Fri) – I had eye surgery and have not been able to see well. The past week has been spent with icepacks applied every 20 minutes. It’s restrictive and frustrating. The office scheduled me for a follow-up check on Monday. I hope things go well. I am anxious to get back on the road as soon as possible.

2024 July 14 (Sun) – We went to church this morning. The newly appointed bishop spoke. He is young and very enthusiastic. After the service, there was a social hour with homemade crumb cake and strawberry shortcake. Everything – food and fellowship – was great.

When we got home, we collected Caiden and Xavier and headed out to the Hamptons. The day was very hot and the boys enjoyed their time in the pool. I had to sit in the shade as I am not supposed to be exposed to direct sunlight because of the medication I am on. I really wanted to swim! Oh, well. Susan, as usual, created a wonderful feast for us all.

2024 July 13 (Sat) – We were going to go to my sister, Susan’s, house today but it poured. We rescheduled for tomorrow. I went in and watched Caiden this evening so Miranda and Kenny could go out to dinner. We had sword fights and played Uno. I got hit in the eye and we had to stop for a few minutes to put ice on it, but then we were back to fight. He is such a funny guy.

2024 July 12 (Fri) – We met Joan & Peter and Fred & Pat for dinner at The View in Oakdale for dinner. It was a lovely restaurant. We sat out on the patio, which was enclosed with canvas sides. I could look out the windows and watch the water moving outside. Even though it was raining, the view was pretty good. It was an very enjoyable evening.

2024 July 11 (Thu) – It was a slow day with no appointments. Paul worked around the yard. I poked around on the computer. Did some laundry. Caiden popped in to say hi. Haven’t seen him much since we’ve been here.

2024 July 10 (Wed) – Paul had Dr. Pena this morning to repair the abrasions and cavities in his mouth. I took him to the deli afterward and we got buttered rolls with coffee. I also picked up a liverwurst on a roll for lunch. Yum!

At 2:30 PM, Paul had an appointment with the cardiologist. Since Paul’s sister, Joan, just had a procedure on her carotid artery and Paul had a poor check on his carotid artery some years ago, I was concerned. But Dr. Asheld said everything was fine. The only issue is his cholesterol. Paul just restarted the simvastatin after a year. The doc told him to wait a week, then get another blood test. If it is still high, then he would suggest changing medications.

2024 July 9 (Tue) – Paul had a dental check-up this morning. Turned out, he has 3 abrasions on his upper teeth and 2 cavities on the bottom. We made an appointment to come back tomorrow.

Joan & Pete dropped Devin off at the airport then met us for lunch at Jackson Hall. We had already eaten lunch so we had appetizers and they had a meal. We sat out on the patio. It was a good visit.

The Islip Prophets had another play-off game tonight. This time, the other team started out strong then our guys stepped up. They even went into an extra inning to break the tie. Score was 6-5 with out team winning. There should be another game next week.

2024 July 8 (Mon) – I had an appointment with the gynecologist today. It was a little unsettling to go into the office and see it full of young women. I was the only older person there. Then, when I got into the examining room and naked except for a thin robe, the doctor told me I wasn’t getting a pap smear. Just an exam. WTH??? I don’t need any more poking and prodding than I already get. I try to keep it at a minimum.

The church men’s baseball team, Islip Prophets, had a play-off tonight down at Brookwood Hall. We went down to watch. They started out strong with 4 runs in just the first 2 innings and the opposing team with zip. Then, either they got tired or the other team got energized but the game ended with a 7-5 lead for the other guys.

2024 July 7 (Sun) – We went to church this morning. It was great to see all our friends. It felt good to sing the songs and listen to the minister.

We had invited Kenny’s mother to go to lunch with us today but she wound up with dental issues. So we went to the Irish Coffee Pub alone. The potato soup was good but they don’t put bacon in it any more. Also, the Irish soda bread is now a biscuit. It wasn’t as good. We both went Irish in our food choices – I had shepherds pie and Paul had corned beef and cabbage. It was all very good.

2024 July 6 (Sat) – We took Sheba to the vet where she got a shot. It is an antibiotic for her inflamed gums. Let’s hope that helps her. She looks like she’s developing that lip ulcer again. I’ll have to keep an eye on her (like we aren’t already doing that).

At noon, we packed up with Caiden and Xavier and headed out to the Hamptons for a BBQ at my sister’s house. My brother, Chris, drove in from Connecticut to join us. We have been hammering our brother, Tim, to come up from the Keys. His 70th birthday is tomorrow. He resisted our urging and did not fly up. So we made a video, sang off-key, and sent him our best wishes. Susan’s daughter, Shay, and friend, Mike, were also there. Caden and Xavier spent the entire visit in the pool, save for 15 minutes to get out and eat. It was a good visit for everyone.

2024 July 5 (Fri) – I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering this morning for a blood test. My potassium levels were too high last week so they wanted to retake the test. It was perfect. On the way home, I stopped at CVS to pick up some nail polish. For some reason, I want to paint my fingernails. A weird urge!

Paul and I went out for lunch to Bagel Boss. We shared a chicken cutlet on a roll. Then we went to Lowe’s to pick up some parts for Paul to repair the steps. We also mailed off the bad surge protector. The company sent us a new one and we had to return the deficient device. I also mailed back the Medtronic machine that I used during the time I wore the loop recorder.

At 9:30 PM, while watching TV, we heard fireworks going off. They went on for quite a while. We finally got up to go watch. It went on for over an hour. Someone behind the trees on a neighboring block was setting off an incredible collection of fireworks. They had to have spent well over $100,000. Between all the fireworks they blew off last night and again tonight, they spent an incredible amount of money. Loved to see it but what a waste of money!

2024 July 4 (Thu) – Ran out to the liquor store to pick up libations, then Bagel Boss for lunch, and last to Dunkin Donuts for some red, white and blue donuts.

At 2:30 PM, we went next door to Dave & Fran’s for BBQ. The pool was full of kids splashing and some adults. The food was plentiful and the company fun. When things got dark, the fireworks came out. Out in the world could you explain to someone who is not from the United States about July 4th celebrations? Fireworks are illegal yet the block was filled with the sound of booms, bangs, whistles, and explosions all night long. In fact, for 2 days leading up to the 4th. The smell of sulfur was in the air and clouds of smoke wafted by like clouds scudding across the sky. Although illegal, fireworks were everywhere! It made me laugh with incredulity! Some laws are just unenforceable.

2024 July 3 (Wed) – Had a tree guy come over and give us an estimate for taking down two trees – one dead and the other dying. Did lots of yardwork. Ran to Home Depot to find some bolts. Paul bought a new fifth-wheel hitch and needed hardware to attach it. Got a new date for the eye repair - July 16. Ugh!

2024 July 2 (Tue) – Today was the big day! I went to the eye surgery center in Brentwood to have my lower lids corrected. Unfortunately, because of the Boswellia I took (an herbal supplement), the doctor would not do the surgery. Now I am stuck trying to get a new surgery date before we are scheduled to leave in two weeks. Arrrrggggghhhhh!!

We stopped at the Oconee Diner on the way home for a late lunch/early dinner. That place is not going to have room for diners soon if they keep putting up decorations. It’s like walking through a jungle.

2024 July 1 (Mon) – At 7 AM, we went to Good Sam Hospital where I had to loop recorder removed from my chest. A procedure that the doctor said wouldn’t take more than half an hour took 3-1/2 hours. I was so desperate to get out of there. I waited for the nurse to come unhook me. After an hour, I unhooked myself from all the connections. I would have climbed out of the bed, but the rails were up. Finally, the nurse came in. She yelled at me and was quite aggravated. So, she made me wait some more. At last, I got out of there. Hurried to the waiting room to get Paul and rushed home. I had an appointment at the VA for 11 AM. It was too late to make that and I called to beg for a later time (they have not been very amenable in the past to giving me convenient times). Fortunately, the gal that answered the phone was able to juggle appointments and get me rescheduled for 1 PM.

We stopped at Sunrise Bagel for breakfast. Egg and bacon on a roll. What a delicious treat! After stopping back home, I drove to Northport for my appointment at the VA. The doctor worked with me to get my hearing aids worked out. I was supposed to have a drink and snacks with Gina but she cancelled our get together. So, we went out to Wading River and enjoyed dinner with Joan & Peter (Paul’s sister and husband). Their neighbors came over to visit.

2024 June 30 (Sun) – We went to church this morning. It was good to see everyone. It was like coming home. I was filled with such joy with the service, the singing, the readings. Even the snacks!

After church, we went back home, collected Caiden and his friend, Xavier, and drove out to Susan in Hampton Bays. Her daughter, Shay, was there with her friend. The boys and Paul swam in the pool. It was too cool for me. The temperatures have dropped significantly. What weird weather we have been having.

At sunset, there was a beautiful glow in the area. Everything seemed to be covered in a golden glow. I guess the clouds were at the right height when the sun was going down that it reflected back on the earth.

2024 June 29 (Sat) – We met Susan & Bill at the Gateway Playhouse this afternoon. Escape to Margaritaville was playing. The musical was quite good. It was different from anything we have watched before. There was a lot of cursing and references to sex and drugs. Guess that’s today’s generation.

After the play, we drove to Patchogue for dinner at the Dirty Taco & Tequilla. It is one of the places that is listed on Susan’s vegan app – The Happy Cow. The inside of the restaurant was loud and it was hard to have a conversation. The food was good.

2024 June 28 (Fri) – I had an appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering this morning. I have a new doctor but she sees patients in the Commack office on Mondays, so I had to see the nurse. She was very upbeat and chatty. All my bloodwork was good except for potassium levels. She advised me to come back in a week to get another test. In the meantime, lay off the avocados, spinach, potatoes and bananas.

Paul had his colonoscopy this afternoon. Everything went well. He got a clean bill of health. Yay!

2024 June 27 (Thu) – It was Paul’s turn today. He had an eye doctor appointment this morning. After lunch, I went to the hairdresser to get a haircut. All the lowlights are gone. All cut off. It’ll be that way until I get tired of it again and look for something else to do with my hair. Paul started prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Not going anywhere else today.

2024 June 26 (Wed) – Paul had a check up with the doctor this morning. After that, I took him to Bagel Boss for breakfast. We had some problems with the order. The clerk was not having a good day. He toasted my bagel when I did not want it toasted. Then he made coffee and the machine overflowed all over the place. When he went to adjust the cover, he stuck his hand in the boiling coffee. Ouch!

On the way home, we stopped at Home Depot to pick up flowers. We spent a few hours weeding and gardening in the front yard. There was a lot to do.

At 1PM, we took Sheba to the vet. She has lost about half a pound. Her gum is inflamed and her loss of appetite might actually be a sore mouth. The vet took some blood and urine to see if anything else is going on. We may have to bring Sheba back for dental work.

At 3:30 PM, my sister pulled up for a visit. At 5:30 PM, we took Caiden with us and all went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Caiden had eaten about an hour earlier so he wasn’t hungry. We let him get a slice of cheesecake while the three of us got meals. Everything was very good.

2024 June 25 (Tue) – It was back to the cardiologist this morning. This time was for an assessment of the loop recorder in my chest. I got a call a while back telling me the battery was going dead. After discussion with the doctor, we decided to remove the recorder and not replace it. That makes me very happy! I am scheduled for Monday. They usually have the recorder taken out under anesthesia but he said we could do it with a little numbing. I said OK. Just get it done.

At 1PM, we went to Patchogue to see the gastroenterologist. Paul had a colonoscopy 2 years ago. The doctor snipped a polyp, tattooed the site, and advised him to get a colonoscopy the next year. Well, it’s been 2 years but he’s back to get it done. He got a surgery date for this Friday.

After the doctor, we met Paul’s sister and husband, Joan & Peter, at Rhum on Main Street in Patchogue. They flew out from Las Vegas about 2 weeks ago. Their grandson, Devin, is flying out from Vegas tonight to spend 2 weeks with them.

At 5 PM, I brought my laptop computer to Best Buy. I have been having a number of problems with the machine. We sat with a tech for almost an hour but I think he got the issues cleared up. We will see.

2024 June 24 (Mon) – Today began the doctor parade. First up was the cardiologist. I had an EKG and review with Dr. Asheld. I really like that guy! Everything was perfect. Next was the ophthalmologist. I thought my eyeballs were shrinking but it turns out that my bottom eye lids are pulling away from the orb or sagging. I am now scheduled for surgery to tighten up the lids on July 2. I will not be able to lift, bend, or do anything strenuous for a week. Sleep will have to take place with my head elevated on two pillows or sleeping in a lounger. I will have to ice my eyes every half hour for 2-3 days. There goes fourth of July festivities.

The surgery scheduler told me I have to get clearance from my primary physician since I will be anesthetized. So I called Dr. Torrelli and was squeezed in to see his P.A. I had to cancel the appointment with the vet for Sheba and Best Buy to look at my computer. I also have to change my appointment with the hair stylist that was set for July 2. That’s the problem with having a slew of appointments. A doctor changes something and a domino effect happens – other things have to be changed to accommodate that change. It is a calendar dance.

Miranda & Kenny were supposed to return home today. They sent a text message that they were running behind and will be spending the night in a motel. Maureen and I wished them well. We took Caiden with us food shopping. First stop was McDonald’s for dinner, then Shop Rite for groceries.

We are worried about Sheba. She hasn’t been eating and she hasn’t had a bowel movement for two days. She insists on going outside all the time. When she’s in, she goes into the closet to sleep. Something is wrong.

2024 June 23 (Sun) – We packed up and left Shartlesville, PA, at 9:15 AM. It was a very long and arduous trip to Long Island. It took over an hour to get across the George Washington Bridge! The traffic and the roadways were horrible.

We arrived home at 2 PM. Kenny’s mom, Maureen, was here watching Caiden. Miranda and Kenny are off at witch camp this week. They should be back tomorrow. After hookups, I got a pizza from Buseto. We all ate in the RV. Afterward, Maureen stayed to visit until 7 PM. Caiden stayed until 8 PM when we shooed him back in to shower before bed. He still as 2 more days of school, even though they already had a graduation ceremony for moving up to middle school last week. Tomorrow and the next day, he has to go in for 1-2 hours a day. Seems like a waste. But the school gets money if the kids are in school. It’s all about the money.

The Nuance website page talking about Nuance Student Licensing is still up and shows that Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium is available as a Student License product, but when you click on it, it takes you to the general info page about Nuance Dragon Professional Individual 15. In the past, there was a store item that showed Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium 13 Student version, but I can’t find it anymore since they’ve updated their site. (They offer bulk academic pricing for school labs and institutions, but that doesn’t help us.) I’m not sure if Nuance still offers an educational discount for individual students and teachers. IMPORTANT: Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium Student & Teacher Licensing and Education Validation Requirements

I currently use Dragon Professional Individual 15.

Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you can find Nuance Dragon Professional Individual 15 on sale for $150 off. I don’t think Nuance still offers a student license anymore, but if they did, I’d imagine it would still be for $100. Nuance Dragon Professional 15 normally costs $300.

(Right now, the latest version of Nuance Dragon voice software is Nuance Dragon Home 15 and Nuance Dragon Professional 15.) Unfortunately, Nuance stopped updating Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium 13 in August 2018. So, if you were a qualified student or teacher, you could get Nuance Dragon Premium 13 for only $99.99 (instead of the regular $199.99.) At that time, the Nuance Dragon Student / Teacher Educational discount was $100 off Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 13 speech-to-text software. It’s been almost a decade since I first wrote this post in October 2010.

Author’s Notes: This fic was written in 2015. I couldn't bear the thought of their only communication in all that time being the "Dearest Dana" letters. (Which I added to just a teeny-weeny bit. Also added a little to Scully's Carterlogue to William.) Scully quotes from (what else?) Moby Dick and Mulder from The Divine Comedy. The title is from Those Winter Sundays by Robert Hayden.

Fe3O4 is magnetite and R2NCl is chloramine. I know my little ads are cryptic, so there's an addendum at the end for those interested parties. (See the end of the work for more notes.)

I have come to an act of desperation. I have had no way of contacting you - no way to talk this over with you - and so I had to make this choice alone. I have had assurances that our information is to be expunged from every record and I tell myself moment by moment that this is his only chance at a normal life, but what if I have made a mistake that can never be undone?

I vacillate between thinking I have sacrificed my own happiness for his and thinking I have sacrificed him because I am not strong enough to accept what he is. What if that's the case? What if I was just too afraid to see him suffer? Watching Emily die slowly through the glass left me so cold I thought I'd freeze everything I touched, but I didn't know how to grieve for her. They had no right to take those ova from me, no right to create her, and no right to destroy her. She was supposed to be mine and whatever other children were created should have been mine also. But by the time I came to terms with the fact that I was truly her mother, she was already gone. What if the same fate was in store for William? I don't know that I could have stood it.

All I wanted was a child - your child, as the years went on - and I just cannot understand why anyone would create these lives for the express purpose of later destroying them. I don't think we can ever fully know what William means to the Project, but they wanted him dead, Mulder. They wanted to take our son and kill him and would have in time and came close even as I watched over him, and all this before he turned a year old. Jeffrey Spender came to me - terrible things have been done to him - and said that no matter what he did to undo the changes to his little body, William would never have any peace from the men who have been working towards the ends you and I have been fighting.

I believed him, Mulder. I looked into his ruined face and I believe he was telling me the truth and I believe it still. I did the only thing I could think of to protect our son and I can only hope now that you can forgive me.

I don't know what else to do but keep going. It's all I've ever known how to do.

I just got off the phone with mom a little while ago and she's half-hysterical and I'm not far from it myself. What were you thinking? You put your son up for adoption, Dana? That really struck you as the best possible solution? That's what you have a family for. To help you. And no matter how bad things were you should have come to us. I don't know what has happened to you over the years and I don't think I even know who you are anymore, because my sister would never have done something so insane.

We could have taken him in for you if you couldn't deal with being a single mother. God knows where Fox is and why you put up with the crap he dishes out is beyond me, but he has molded you into a woman I don't recognize and I think there is something severely wrong with both of you.

I have faith that you are not beyond salvation, Dana, but you need to cut your ties with him. Come out to San Diego and stay with us. I have already contacted an attorney about having the adoption reversed and because of the extreme emotional duress you've been under he thinks there's a very good shot that Tara and I can get temporary custody while you get your life back together.

It's not too late for you. We love you and want to help, but you have to let us. I am praying for you.

Trump and his Republican Party mouthpieces and right wing disinformation outlets continue to state that Trump inherited “a mess”, a “broken economy”. That of course is far from the truth. You can’t believe anything they say, you can’t trust them, they intentionally and maliciously deceive the public.

Donald Trump was just bragging about the 33% GDP increase. NOT SO FAST!

That is still 10% below the Q1 level after the 31.4% drop in Q2. And even farther below the Q4 2019 level. The reason for the 33% gain from a 31.4% loss is due to the stimulus pumped into the economy from the Cares Act that Nancy Pelosi worked so hard on getting. Because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) left the current stimulus bills passed by the House floundering, the Q4 figures aren't going to be so rosy.In September, the unemployment rate declined by 0.5 percentage point to 7.9 percent, and the number of unemployed persons fell by 1.0 million to 12.6 million In September, the number of permanent job losers increased by 345,000 to 3.8 million

Trump inherited a gradually declining unemployment rate. It had nothing to do with him, it was due to industry and the private sector. It has been infrastructure week since Feb or March of 2017, and still nothing except what had been already planned and budgeted for years before he got into office. The same thing with the coal jobs he claims to have created. Coal leases were issued while Obama was in office. And since Trump's claim for all those coal mining jobs more than 3x that have been lost. The same thing with Carrier. He claims to have saved their jobs and after he was elected, by a minority of votes, many went to Mexico anyway. The one thing that he did that had a temporary fix was put the tariffs on imported steel from China (which he used in his projects). But he did it in a political stunt manner and then started an illegal trade war with the rest of the world. Farmers lost buyers to other countries and many of them simply went broke and suicides were up. Prices for imported parts used in manufacturing resulted in dramatic price increases in consumer goods. He told you that Mexico and China were paying for those tariffs, some of you believed him, while you were paying for the increases.

The main things he is extremely successful at is lying, deceiving and conning - He plays his marks well.

UK Media says Gay Teen Couple is Groundbreaking

The season finale of Andi Mack debuted on Disney Channel UK on Friday, August 2, one week after the US.

Disney Channel has made history by featuring their first gay teen couple in the final episode of Andi Mack.

We can’t deal.

The final episode of the beloved show saw 13-year-old Cyrus Goodman confessing his feelings for his classmate TJ Kippen, before the pair held hands and melted everyone’s hearts.

“Is there anything else you want to tell me?” Cyrus asks, before TJ says “Yeah,” and repeats the question back.

“Yes,” Cyrus says, with TJ taking his beau’s hand as the camera pans away from the romantic fire-lit scene.

We’re emotional.

Plus, the couple were seen to belt out Lady Gaga’s Born This Way before the emotional scene. Could it get any more perfect?

The stars were thrilled seeing the episode air, with Joshua Rush (Cyrus) tweeting: “Guys, gals, and nb pals, i can now tell you: tyrus endgame canon and confirmed.”

Luke Mullen (TJ) added: “Honored to be apart of such a groundbreaking show. I hope my character can inspire people to proud of who they are and love who they love. #AndiMack #tyrusisendgame.”

Meanwhile, fans were just as hyped, with one writing: “These two just became disney channels first openly gay couple, this scene is going to be so important for so many kids growing up watching this right now. they’ll get to look back at this and think, this show let me know that i would be okay.”

Another added: “This show has paved the way for the lbgtq [community] on Disney and has made history Andi Mack remains surperior.”

“I know it might seem silly that at 21 I’m freaking out over a Disney show, but this show was life changing,” one more emotional viewer pointed out.

Disney Channel announced they’d be featuring their first gay storyline back in 2017, telling Entertainment Weekly: “The Disney brand has always been inclusive, with stories that reflect acceptance and tolerance and celebrate the differences that make our characters uniquely wonderful in their own way.”

In the show, Cyrus was originally seen to have a crush on Jonah Beck, played by Asher Angel, who is the same boy Andi Mack fancies, before having his happy ending with TJ.

Andi Mack stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee as the main character, alongside Asher Angel, Lilan Bowden, Joshua Rush and Lauren Tom.

Disney previously featured their first same-sex kiss on animated series Star vs. the Forces Of Evil, which is broadcast on Disney XD.

after that i ended up in a special ed school and thats when i started listening to rap with dipset and stealing yugioh cards for money and robitussin to get high. when i was 16 i only had a couple good friends and everybody else just avoided me caus they were scared i was going to fight them and one of them steve (who’s 3 years younger than me) had me meet his (at the time) ex gf one day and i ended up getting my thing sucked>.> yea for the first time and then we planned to lose our virginity the next week. she brought her friend and we had a threesome tho my drugs caught up with me because i was on probation for beating somebody up on the bus and i kept getting dirty urines for weed so i went to rehab a couple weeks after

i never really had gfs in highschool other than that, there was only 5 girls in my special ed school, i was friends with most of them but they used me for drugs. i went to community college right after highschool and made friends rapping tho immediately got involved in a small crime ring of stealing video games from stores, selling them to gamestop to make a couple hundred daily as well as smoking a lot more weed (while still on probation for another assault) that didnt catch up with me yet tho when i was 19 this girl sabrina added me on facebook and i really liked her, ended up meeting her at the mall it was a really sweet date(we had fun getting physical😄) she wasn’t like everybody else because she didnt try to be normal. i had court coming up though i ended up smoking pcp for the first time and had a psychotic break where i thought this girl was her (who wasnt) and got arrested for unlawful restraint (i thought she was bugging out and i didnt want to leave until i knew what was wrong). i went to jail and got released to rehab again.

when i got out of rehab i went to outpatient rehab (i was 20 now) and met a woman heather who was 33. we dated and she bought a ring for me 3 months after to propose which i accepted because i was desperate and i thought i loved her though she asked if i was attracted to her and i honestly said only her face and not her body so she broke up with me. after that i started smoking again until i started talking to this girl Haley who lived the city over from me, she said she wanted a brother yet i really started liking her when we talked. this is when i really started realizing i liked younger girls and she ended up admitting she had a bf months after and lied to both of us. (i made a lot of songs about her😔😪){&2020 update about haley: we moved on with our lives and had never met though I talked to her a little on Facebook this year and, thankfully I wasn't as enamored and clingy😪}

there's a couple dozen other girls i dated/talked to between that and then there was bella who heard my music on an old social site called PHEED and i thought she was beautiful so i told her that and we talked. she lived in texas but we had intense convos she was really smart, beautiful, funny and we swore we would be together though i had to go to rehab again(this time inpatient in New London where, I lived in a sober house & got a job after) because i violated probation yet i wanted to test if she’d stay with me so i didnt tell her i went. about 4 months later when i was getting out of rehab i talked to her again and she acted like everything was alright and she had moved to NY as well as gotten a license and really had her life together. she said she loved me and was gonna drive to see me in new london so, I waited an hour for her to come until I talked to her and she said because I "played" her she was playing me so, not coming 😢😞(this was in 2014)

So in 2015 I was clean about a year so, I applied & got accepted for McNally Smith college of music (to major in audio production) in st Paul Minnesota where I Was clean for months until (for some reason I forgot but, probably running around fast) I got kicked out of my weightlifting gym out there so I was upset and, found some people @ a park near downtown st Paul smoking weed which I got in on and, ten weeks later I saw someone with dreads buying a dutch in a bodega so, I asked if he knew where to get weed and: It turned out he was a dealer so I ended up buying lot's of weed and trading for studio time for him to record but, I got caught smoking sometimes in my dorm & because I got in arguments with students and staff at college so, they warned me if I got in ANY fight in or, outside of school I would be expelled & I DID get expelled; probably because of the fight where I sent that guy who hit my head with a brick to the hospital (which drew a LOT of attention and PROBABLY was on the news)

Though they said it was because I got in too many arguments and, smoked too much weed in my dorm...

So I moved back with my grandma later in 2015 where I was until she kicked me out for smoking weed and k2 so, I was homeless In which I slept under a blanket near the library and, behind a church in hamden until, the church let me live in their garage when it became winter so I stayed there until early 2016 where, I moved to a spot in Hamden off the bike trail in the woods where I started with a one person tent until I stole a 8 person tent from Walmart and, uused a shopping cart to carry a bed my friend gave away down the bike trail to my spot and late I stole a propane heater plus propane powered stove so I stole an empty propane can outside of krauzers and I kept paying $20 to get it filled at The car wash up the street so I used it to cook ramen and, oatmeal on my stove and power my heater in the winter and I finally got clean in August 2016 while STILL homeless then completed a course to get into CTWORKS which helped me get nice used suits and an interview g for the job I got at Chipotle in December 2016 while, still homeless 😪 I told them I still lived at my grandmas and took showers at my friend's house until I got a la fitness membership with my first paycheck which was actually through the woods near my tent so, I took showers there EVERY morning & worked out there in addition to, at my tent where I still had a barbell set from my grandmas and, then in the spring of 2017 I applied to and, got a landscaping job I saw on the ctworks job search online so I woke up at 5am EVERY morning with a battery powered alarm clock I stole from Walmart and, caught the first Whitney bus that went downtown at 5:30 and, then I took the next train around 5:45 to go to milford where, the landscaping base is so I ran there when I got to Milford around 6am to get there on time by 6:30-45

So I worked there while I was still homeless and, I got approved for shelter plus Care which some people That lived in the woods near me told me about and, I got my apartment with 2 jobs off the post road behind dunkin donuts in West Haven so, I took The bus up the post road to get to BOTH jobs until, I saw a moped for sale from east haven on Craigslist for$200 in mid spring of 2017 which, I rode to my jobs on until, I got a drivers permit (coincidentally on the day I heard my grandma was dying so, I Went to her house and Watched her die 😥

Then I took drivers ed classes;

Then I started getting driving lessons in late spring 2017 until I learned to drive in a couple months so, I took the drivers test in summer 2017 and, then took motorcycle classes at north haven gateway (where I ran into my dr's receptionist Alexandra ai had a crush on (who I even had written and recorded a song about) then, my mom helped me get my 250 ninja from new Haven power sports so: I drove that to my jobs until my crash on August 6th 2019 which, I don't remember but, I woke up at the residential physical rehab hospital Gaylord where : I leave weekly what happened was I hit an suv on mg way to work, had a right brain stroke & broken pelvic also my left side was paralyzed and got contractures (where my left arm, fingers and left got really curled up and difficult to straighten so I'm still working on walking again 😥

(I'm getting botox injections to help my left side straighten and , I'm able to my left leg and arm though, they're really bent and my fingers are too bent for me to move, use,or, hold anything😪

So now I am living at my aunts waiting to get another apartment through my insurance agency while, I still get votox every 2 months unrtil I hopefully gain control and use of my left side😪 &, the ability to walk again...

I went from being REAL STRONG to, being weak (though I'm ljfting more with my right arm with a dumbbell then I used to!)

Either way: I'm a survivor!

What if That’s the Future

Desire and Decorum/MC x Ernest Sinclaire

Summary: Ernest has been shot and as he slept waiting for Clara he has a dream. A dream that shows him more then he ever wanted. Just before she comes to him at Ledford in the chapter.

Authors Note: so today’s chapter has me majorily po’ed and so I wrote this. My last TE story from that poll and then starting my desire and decorum ones will come next. See if you can spot a character from Red Carpet Diaries and High School Story.

The shot didn’t go off as Ernest found himself dreaming. He was sure that Luke and the others would bring him back to Ledford Park. Doctor Kerrigan was there, and Clara was nowhere to be seen. Of course, the duke….

That didn’t seem to matter as Ernest saw her. Clara was right next to him in a gorgeous satin green gown that reminded him of flowers. A wide smile on her face and her hair loose as it pooled around her shoulders. This was dreaming, this was lucid dreaming, he thought as he could hear his friends telling him not to sleep.

“Mr. Sinclaire you cannot die, please think of Clara,” said the demanding voice of Miss Parsons.

“He can rest,” said Doctor Kerrigan.

Sleep didn’t come easy as Ernest tried to relax. He had to think of Clara her smiling face and standing beside him. Finally, his mind rested on a dream that he wanted to be reality. Clara was in his bed as he saw love marks on her chest, her nightgown thrown on the floor as the sun filtered into their bedroom. Ernest stepped into the room already fully dressed as she rose from the mattress.

“Don’t have too much fun at work,” she said arching her feet to kiss him softly on the lips. He relished in her kiss and touch.

That illusion was shattered as he heard something from down the steps, however. His Clara seemed to have disappeared as quickly as she rose. Ernest took in a deep breath as he turned and started toward the noise. He straightened his cravat he headed toward the steps when the noise turned out to be voices.

“James,” he called wondering if his butler had let someone in.

No answer as Ernest headed down the steps as music eventually filled the air. Someone was playing his pianoforte. He was dreaming still right? He could bring Clara back as the flash of her green skirt disappeared down the steps. She was still with him but leading him somewhere.

Her giggle seemed to beg him to follow as he did what she wanted. He was curious to know himself. Gradually he made his way into the hall to see people. He peered around into the room where she disappeared as he could see that it was a packed. People milled around in strange clothes that he couldn’t begin to place. Next to him two girls were speaking animatedly to each other as Ernest couldn’t even catch up. Clara had to be around her somewhere as he heard their conversation.

“So, what was it like working with Chris Winters? Addison you have the most amazing job,” gushed a girl with auburn hair to the blond. “The Last Duchess has to be my favorite movie so far this year.”

“Chris is awesome, I don’t think you could work with someone nicer. Working on The Last Duchess was so much fun. The historical clothes were a blast to make and the cast is just all-around fun,” said the blond, presumably Addison. “What is it that you do Paige?”

“I’m an OBGYN and a certified midwife, it’s not nearly as glamorous,” said the redhead, Paige.

Ernest shook his head as he leaned forward and cleared his throat hopefully to get some answers. Who were these people and how were they in his home? Forgetting about Clara now he tried to piece together what was happening.

Neither girl looked up before a third joined them. The newcomer, a girl with ink black hair and a purple shirt that the girls called Kara, just seemed to walk right through him. Ernest put his hands on his body as he seemed to be invisible and ghost like. This was his death, he was sure of it as he glanced around the room.

This couldn’t have been death though. Where was his mother, father, stillborn siblings? Trembling Ernest straightened himself up and confidently walked toward the middle of the room. Someone around here had to be talking about why they were all gathered. He wasn’t presuming that this was some kind of heaven or limbo. Why was Clara here? Could she have killed herself thinking he was dead too?

Around him children ran with devices in their hands he didn’t know. Ernest took another breath. If there was one place, he could find answers there was the library. His sanctuary. He turned on his heel and walked off his heavy footsteps not making a sound underneath him.

Upon reaching the library he heard more voices. How dare these people for inviting themselves into rooms not designated for guests! Ernest felt shudder run through his body as another person seemed to walk right through him. He took a hesitant step toward the group that was gathered in the middle at a table.

On said table was a paper with lines and neat printed handwriting. Getting even closer upon closer inspection Ernest could see his name on that paper. Remembering that people couldn’t see him or anything he forced himself until he was sitting on the table. Although it was un-gentlemen like he needed a look at this.

At the very top of the paper Ernest read the first line unable to believe it. Sinclaire Family Tree.

His eyes settled on his ancestor Walter Fitzwilliam Sinclaire situated on the few middle lines. Then his eyes followed the lines to his own name. Swallowing Ernest trembled staring a bit aghast at section where his name was as if he could burn a hole right through the paper.

Ernest Sinclaire (20 Jul 1788 - 30 April 1867)

He couldn’t tear away, that was his birthday and that was his death date. He was eight and seventy upon his death. It appears that he was at the Sinclaire family reunion. Judging from the clothing of those around him he could be decades or even centuries ahead of his own time. He put a hand to his head as if to clear it. Blue eyes glanced over at the name on the left. Roselyn d’Ouler with the death dead marked when she gave birth to the Dukes child. Then his eyes slide over to the name on the right of his name.

He caught his breath and heart quickened as a smile of delight crossed his face. The name adjacent to his: Clara Mills (2 Nov 1795 – 24 Jun 1875). The date of their union to sometime in mid June of 1816. Ernest couldn’t help but glance at the next line.

Nine, there were nine marks for nine children. Six sons and three daughters were a blessing as he could see their names of their family. A family that he would make with Clara. His eyes saddened upon seeing the last name on the list, as his heart twisted to know that she only spent mere hours on earth. Underneath the names the lines got more and more complicated as they weaved together. Several last names of people he knew like Marlcaster and Chambers.

Sometime at the turn of the century a few family members dropped the ‘e’ from the last name he noticed. Several had moved from England and to far off places like America and New Zealand.

Everyone around him was his family, people that were related to Ernest Sinclaire, in some way shape or form. Ernest watched as a young woman brought her children to the front of the group. An elderly man smiled as he picked the girl up and put her on his lap.

“Now can you tell me your name young lady?”

“Melissa Grace Sinclaire,” she said proudly with a smile on her face. “My mummy told me to tell you to put my name on your paper.”

“Did she now?” said the man grinning as he mused her blond hair teasingly. “Well, I need to know who your mummy and daddy are. Your birthday and if you have any siblings and their birthdays.”

“My daddy is Luke Sinclaire and mummy’s name is Emma. My birthday is 10 August 2014. My brother’s name is Matthew Ernest Sinclaire and his birthday is 23 January 2017.”

The man put her name near the bottom of the tree as he watched. Ernest gapped upon hearing this as this far beyond what he thought it was. Everything he was witnessing. This was two hundred years from now. He was in the twenty first century as everything played around him like a moving picture. The only thing that made Ledford the same was the layout of his home.

A dream, this is what this was a dream, but this was a dream that he could make happen. Ernest could make that family with his beloved Clara and their family could prosper. Unable to help himself Ernest reached out and touched her name next to his as it lingered there.

His finger traced down the marks for each child as he wondered what they were like. Perhaps they were quick to smile like Clara. Did they have his sword skills (even the girls!)? Which one inherited the blond hair that he remembered from his mother? Ernest’s smile grew as his finger traced over the name Vincent Sinclaire. He knew where that name came from as his breath caught short as he looked at the dates under his name. 9 Feb 1817 – 30 of Mar 1895. No. That couldn’t be possible as he thought back to the night before the duel.

He got Clara pregnant, unless she went into labor a month early, she was already pregnant with their son.

Ernest had to wake up, he had to go to her and keep the Duke from ever touching her or their baby. He felt fingers brush upon his own as Clara was next to him. She grinned widely as she was examining the tree as well. Her free hand tracing over their marriage date as everyone else around them seemed to gradually fade.

“Can you believe it? We did this,” she said as tears pooled in her eyes. “This is our family that we made together.”

He glanced around as he saw the kids running, gossip from the older people, and someone playing a beautiful song on the pianoforte.

Ernest reached over and brushed her hair away from her face. “I know that this is a dream, but I want to make this happen. Both of us happy and married with a family of our own. There’s no Duke and I could keep you safe and loved.”

This Clara nodded as he kissed away the tears that had spilled over her cheeks. “Ernest wake up, I’ll be there, I promise.”

He adjusted and blinked himself awake over and over. Everything from the morning came back to him with the fight. That didn’t seem to matter anymore as he had a good idea of what would follow when they were finally together. Waking up he saw that Luke was still in the room.

“Where’s Clara?” he demanded.

“She’s coming,” said Luke.

“I need to see her.”

“She’ll be here.”

He was afraid that she would never show up until a half hour later. She was there in Ledford as he sighed. Clara was unharmed as his eyes and smile lite up. She looked beautiful as his eyes flitted briefly down to her stomach. Could they really have?

“Clara, how I’ve longed to see your face,” he said. If he could stand one more day, he could fight. Above all he was going to be with her until the end of his days.

Big mechs, big missiles.

If two players are operating it, one (the driver) controls movement, while the other (the gunner) rains down missiles and shotgun shots.The driver is able to: Dash into combat.Super Jump to victory. Fortnite's first Season 10 teaser has confirmed that it'll arrive on Thursday 1st August.

The full trailer for Fortnite Season 10 has been leaked by Fortnite Brasil, who accidentally posted it today - one day prior to launch.

In the trailer we get a glimpse at objects of significance from seasons past, including Kevin the Cube, the butterfly and more. Right at the end of the trailer, we see the factories appear, a meteor suspended in the air and the phrase "Time's up" appear on screen.

Again, it's difficult to say what this all means, but there's no doubt Season 10 is bringing back old locations with a twist and more. We'll just have to wait and see what the "more" really is!

Season 10's third teaser reads, "Twist Time", and features what looks like an image of a female Drift skin as well as a robot Ragnarok skin. It's difficult to ascertain what this means, judging by the caption, we might be getting new "twists" on past and present .

What's the meaning behind Season 9's Monster vs Mech battle?

In a similar vein to Kevin the Cube’s sudden inter-dimensional implosion in Season 6 and the Ice King’s frosty arrival in Season 7, another live event was staged on Fortnite’s map to mark Season 9’s close.

This time, players witnessed an epic battle between Cattus, a one-eyed kaiju-style monster and Doggus, a huge robot constructed in Pressure Plant throughout Season 9.

In ‘The Final Showdown’, Doggus defeated Cattus after a huge struggle, but not without swathes of the map having fallen victim to some serious damage.

It’s worth highlighting the climactic plot twist, in which Doggus plucked Neo Tilted’s statue from the ground, first revealing its true identity as a giant sword before cutting down Cattus once and for all. Of course, it flew off after a quick floss on the remains of the monster.

This has led to a great deal of speculation as to the future of the island. The destruction brought about by this fight is sure to have a lasting impact, and the skeletal remains of the monster lies just southeast of Loot Lake. However, many buildings that were destroyed have been reconstructed on the map as the Fortnite World Cup, is due to kick off at the end of Season 9.

Speaking of Loot Lake, it hosted a peculiar orb of energy after the robot harnessed the powers of the vault to defeat Cattus. Fans have been speculating ever since on what this could mean. It’s been noted that since the day of the battle, the orb has been periodically becoming more and more unstable, with cracks and pulsations increasingly emanating from it. Fortnite leaker FortTory confirmed that this is the case, indicating that upon Season 10’s launch, a big change could be in store.

Fortnite Season 10: How will the map change?

There is speculation that the orb and its destabilisation are building up to a large-scale destruction of the Fortnite map as we know it, paving the way for something completely new. Since Fortnite: Battle Royale’s release, Epic has avoided adding entire new maps, and preferred to iterate on the iconic model we’re all familiar with. However, fans will be waiting with baited breath to discover what could be a completely new environment to traverse and battle in.

Another line of speculation is that the orb above Loot Lake is actually a signal which could mean some time travel could be on the cards. Reddit user M-Seymour7 goes deeper into the theory, but essentially, Singularity used the power of the orb in the vault to create Neo Tilted and numerous other futuristic elements of the map.

She appeared to know that The Final Showdown would happen, and built the Neo Tilted sword in preparation. The orb, also known as the ‘Zero Point’, is now destabilising, and could potentially transform the map, in whole or in part, into older versions of itself. Only time will tell.

Of course, this also means that the Fortnite World Cup and Birthday celebrations will need to finish up by the time any major alterations or explosions occur.

Fortnite Season 10: New Graphics Card Requirements

In a recent update from Epic Games, they announced that the graphical requirements would be changing for the upcoming season. From Season 10, you will no longer be able to play Fortnite without a graphics card able to run Microsoft DirectX 11. This has always been a system requirement for Fortnite, but until now, older graphics cards have been supported.

What was included in Fortnite Season 9?

Let's take a look back at everything that was introduced with Fortnite Season 9. Hopefully, we can glean some information about what’s in store for us next season.

- Fortbytes, which allowed players to decrypt an image of Jonesy painting a mural as well as unlock rewards such as the Singularity skins.

- Slipstreams were added to facilitate swift traversal of the Fortnite map. Gone are the days of trudging from one place to another.

- New locations: Neo Tilted and Mega Mall were added, as well as a few new ‘dig sites’.

- New guns: the Combat Shotgun, and the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle, which allows you to scope in and see the next location of the closing storm.

- Overtime Challenges allowed players to gain more rewards than ever before, with the ability to unlock exclusive skins like Bunker Jonesy, Stratus, and Demi.

What can we expect from Fortnite Season 10?

Fortnite Season 10 will come with the standard release of new skins, and ones likely based on the theme of the season. If indeed the theme is apocalypse and destruction, then we will see cosmetics based on this, and fans will be excited to know how Epic Games makes that happen. After the Final Showdown event, outlines of planes were spotted by fans, which means they might make a return in Season 10. It is expected that given what usually happens with each seasonal update, weapons will be added or removed from the game. Guns like the Burst SMG are widely despised by the community, so there’s a chance it will be switched out for either a new addition or one of the older weapons that have been put into the vault from previous seasons.
