I'm so mad about the CSP color settings thing, guys. Why is it on perpetual by default if it desaturates everything?? I just went through and fixed the saved flats for all of my current prompt pieces for next week and kirbtober, and did a test post on here to see if there's any external influence on it (there doesn't seem to be), and my Nova, the difference!! is insane!! Stars, all my precious colors... years of them... unknowingly being eaten by my own art program T-T Guess I know what I'm doing start of November... ugh...

i just keep thinking about this xkcd comic in terms of like, all technology discourse. like bad cgi usurping animators in movies, or those bots that are learning to cut out watermarks, or a million other things. people were still finding ways to fuck people over, cheat, and lie before now, and they'll still be finding ways 300 years from now. all the technology does is give people new tools to either exploit or create with. it's up to them to choose.

To be clear, literally every character in the game has one or more 3D models. Every single NPC, those faceless people that you walk by/through while walking through the city, every playable character (and every outfit they have; every single one of Wonder's outfit options), every shadow, every Persona, etc. The game's all 3D models (with 2D images over them making up the UI and portraits), and the files are where those 3D models and 2D images are stored, so quite literally, anything you see in the game is somewhere in the files, and something I could theoretically extract for you.

There's also a ton of stuff in the files that doesn't show up in the game (yet?), like 3D models and portraits for a bunch of the Confidants and Palace rulers in P5. Even stuff you only see for a few seconds, like the table and tea set that appears for Noir during her AOA finisher in the split second before it swaps to the 2D image people usually think of for her AOA, have their own 3D models.

So I appreciate that you're not asking me for all of them, haha!

I just focus on posting the interesting things and the new stuff; new portraits for main characters, 3D models for civilian outfits of the Phantom Idols that we haven't really gotten to see, characters indicated as future Phantom Thieves/Idols, stuff like that. And then if anyone asks me for specific stuff outside of that, I don't mind going back for it, because I noted down where everything is in the (massively disorganized) files, so it theoretically shouldn't take me too long to hunt down the pieces for any given character and put them together to post.

All that to say, I try to post the things that I know myself and others are probably most interested in seeing. You're not really missing much in the rest of the files, unless, for instance, there's a sidequest NPC or something you have a particular interest in and want to see the full portraits/model for.

i've gotten so good at these portrait sprite edits that i'm tempted to see if ppl would be interested in me opening commissions for them, do ppls human loops or au designs etc... but it would be weird to take coms that are specifically copying another artist's style. but ppl used to do like dragon age tarot card style coms or homestuck talksprites all the time, ive done alphonse mucha style myself. but it's different when it's someone famous or a game w a whole team of artists vs one lil indie dev. but it's not like i'm drawing whatever in id5 style, i would specifically be doing only the exact type of portraits from the game, for ppl who are already fans of her work, so it's not like that could end up with me taking business away from them in any way. idk i feel like it's a grey area :/

I know it's silly but one of things that motivates me to cook a lot of times is thinking of how my faves or my ocs would do it. Are they good at it? Bad at it? Do they enjoy cooking for others? Do others enjoy their cooking? Do they allow others in the kitchen with them while they cook or do they kick everyone out?

Idk, I like envisioning them in the kitchen when I'm cooking and like to think about them in domestic and comfortable settings like this. It makes it more fun if I'm being honest - like a little movie in my brain where I get to watch them in less expected areas of their lives.

i very badly want to play a new video game that ISNT rebirth because i'm so fucking tired of it (attempting platinum, almost 200 hours in and missing only the hard mode trophy (two chapters left) and the vr missions for johnny's treasure trove/the vr trophy) but if i start playing something new now i WILL forget the controls of rebirth which i desperately need to have burned into my muscle memory to even stand a chance at hard mode sephiroth and the vr missions

sacred echoes is so good. I love the care that was put into adapting SOV’s presentation and maps for the GBA resulting in a hack that isn’t just a simple demake, but a complete game and unique experience in its own right.
