isn't it so crazy that this started because Sunjae fell in love with the girl next door, that a year later his words saved her life and she devoted herself to him to the point of going back in time to change his future and now we're here? ISN'T IT??
Excuse the Taylor Swift quote, but I can't help it: all along there was some Invisible string tying you to me
that was one hell of a kiss. Everything about it was so perfect. You could feel the love, the longing, the relief!! I'm so sad that only Sol will be able to remember it
Kdrama writers should take note of this (and really study it!) because if you want to talk about fated romance, destiny and all that, the bar has been set incredibly high after Lovely Runner. And all of it without even putting the actual words into the drama, because it doesn't need to: we know it. All you need is one look at how devoted Sunjae is after all this time and how he was willing to save her in every version of the past. And how Sol has been doing the same for him. They've been saving each other from the beginning. INSANE!!!
And something that amazes me, and I won't ever shut up about, it's the fact that in every version, it makes sense he never moved on from her. In the first timeline, his one-sided love ended up in one of the worst possible ways and that trauma consumed Sunjae for more than a decade. He was depressed, full of guilt and just fed up with everything. Maybe he wasn't contemplating ending his life, but he was desperate to get out of all the pain.
But then you have this new timeline, where Sunjae remembers them being friends, that kiss on the pool, their dates, her crazy antics, and all the sweetness that outweighs the bad memories. And it's thanks to Sol.
I was surprised she told him about her fears and why she was at his house in the middle of the night. And I loved that he reassured her, telling her he was okay and that he had no depression or anything. He wasn't angry or thought she was over the top. They communicated and aaafghjdfgh I wish we could have stayed in this timeline! because it was soooooo good. He still liked singing and acting. He loved his life. And so did Sol. But it was too good to last.
Bonus to keep me from crying about the ending of the ep: Sunjae being down bad for Sol after 15 years.
*tries not to cry and fails* SUNJAEEEEE!!! WHY???
Shut up, Inhyuk! It's not pathetic! This is a drama so it's romantic.
