• Ekko and Akemi's relationship was expected and unexpected at the same time.

• Expected because Akemi was the one to have a MASSIVE crush on Ekko that the firelights knew about, she wasn’t good at hiding it.

• Unexpected when Ekko said yes, even Akemi herself when she asked him out.

• Akemi didn’t have the best past, and her good morals are painted in a darker light because of it. Neither did Ekko of course, but his perspective turned out different. The two did share trauma and were very sympathetic to one another, so they understood each other.

• This leads to Akemi’s crush becoming too much to bear and Ekko’s starting.

• So yes they bonded off of trauma.

• The Status of their relationship was healthy, of course, augments were there and normal but they weren’t common.

• It is almost always all about Ekko’s inability of not take a break. But Akemi had her faults of not treating herself as not human. They would always find common ground or give each other space

• Akemi is possessive and obsessive.

• Ekko is stubborn and can get kinda jealous at times, Thankfully it was never much of a problem in a relationship.

• These poor babies are so touch-starved that it’s not even funny.

• Both of them grew up on their own, and they didn’t have parental figures orn a lot of relationship experiences. Akemi had crushes growing up but none came in for-wishing. All expect Ekko. He did have relationships but they all ended tragically.

• Despite being touched-starved the two were slow on intimacy. Not even showering together until what seems like a month into their relationship

• Nothing, thankfully, was ever rushed

• When it came to PDA, Akemi didn’t care much, she loved showing off how much she loved Ekko, However, Ekko isn’t a fan of PDA so she respected that.

• So they were very lovey and dovey behind closed doors.

• Turns out, they are both EXTREMELY clingy. Every chance they had, they would hold hands, hug, and cuddle just to feel each other skin. Which made Ekko a “victim” to morning cuddles.

• He’s the one who issued them btw

• The first kiss was meant to happen more than once, but being in the firelight it was constantly interrupted. But once they found the time and the area, their lips were practically glued onto each other.

• Soulmates love

• Akemi, before the start of the relationship attempted her chance at flirting, complementing his strength, knowledge and abilities but as soon Ekko says one flirty remark back- her skin blends in with her hair and the rest of her clothing.

• Regardless of her bashfulness she loves it and does all the time

• They two are HUGE on Holidays, mostly going all out for the kids but they have their traditions.

• Akemi’s favorite holidays are Valentine’s Day and Halloween. ESPECIALLY Halloween She has all Halloween movies and costumes planned AS SOON the holiday is over They went as Wanda & Docter Voodoo from the Marvel comics, she did have to give back the costumes though.

• Speaking of holidays, these two color dynamic fit perfectly: The Christmas lights.

• These two are the red lipstick trend

•Akemi is all about cute nicknames, All of them referring to her favorite things: red and hearts. So she commonly uses, “Sweet-heart“ Ekko's nickname is your Average standard but she is called “Fire“ Which is short for “Firefly.“ and also because she wears nothing but red.

• Time Traveler x Reality Shifter

• Autism creature x ADHD creature. Ekko has ADHD I just can’t prove it.

• They Deal with their hyperfixations all the time. They have a deep conversation, about what they like what they want, etc. The other will always listen, join in, or stare lovingly without paying attention

• “- and then! Akemi are you listening??“ “Huh? What? -No, sorry say that again?” “Really??“ “Sorry!! You look cute when talk about the things you like..”

• They would also constantly rant to each other. Akmei does this more than Ekko does

• Dates were always fun and adventurous. Ekko would take them to the lanes, just to hang out or kick people's asses. That is how they usually go when they’re not in the house. Akemi had a brilliant idea to outside his reality. it was fun for the most part what wasn’t fun was the explaining.

• Speaking of which it’s the same reason why they barely play video games together. She first told Ekko that he was a video game character thanks to a certain someone, he’s been questioning his reality since. It was that, or this; “Have you met them?” “No.” “What about them?” “Ekko, stop.”

• Akemi would usually bug him during his inventing. Crawling up to fall asleep in his arms or beg for attention. Ekko tried to get back by crawling up whenever Akemi was drawing but he got a nap instead

• Ekko’s the housewife only because Akemi can’t cook for shit. Which is why they “eat out“ all the time

• Ticklish x Ticklish = Tickle wars

• Akemi is a juggalo and played “In My Room” by ICP to Ekko and said: “This is us.” He got scared

• I call their ship name Ladybug, because it fits in well with Ekko’s connection to nature and the firelight’s and Akemi’s belief in women power and her undying love for red, cringy but it fits

Chuck Fic Rec List: Updated

So my fic rec post was in my notifs again the other day, and I noticed a while back that the formatting on the post has gotten all messed up and it’s also had like three reblog additions to it anyway meaning there are three versions out there lol. so, I wanted to do another list of chuck fic recs! I’ll keep the other one up still, so I’m not gonna repeat every fic here, just some I really recommend. I’m also adding the fic summaries, which I didn’t on the old post, and some more of my own opinions so, buckle up for a long post!

Chuck Versus the Steampunk Chronicles | Steampunk.Chuckster

A genuinely incredible AU story, with an entire crafted world and universe, so detailed it frequently blows my mind. There is heart and family and infuriatingly brilliant slow-burn, plus a buttload of danger and super fun historical/steampunk action. Oh how I LOVE it.

An action and twist-filled AU based on the movie Charade, which is just such a brilliant fic concept I absolutely adored it from the start.

Two Sides of the Same Coin | dettiot

When you're a spy, there's all kinds of occupational hazards when you work with another spy. For Sarah Walker, though, one mission becomes a life-changing experience. Because working with Charles Carmichael leads to protecting Chuck Bartowski.

The first time I read this fic my mind was just blown to its genius. Such a brilliant interpretation of what the Intersect and its concepts set up in the show could be, and ooooof the Chuck/Sarah interactions, my HEART. Related to it, its companion piece:

I said it on the OG post, but this story has one of my top 5 Chuck/Sarah fic meetings. So funny, so... very Chuck. The story is a little angsty overall, but a great read.

Chuck vs the Rogue Spy | Crumby

When a rogue spy from Chuck Bartowski's past shows up to help him during his first solo mission, Chuck hopes that he'll finally find out what happened to Sarah Walker. Post-S2 AU.

There’s a lot of Season 3 fix-it fics out there, which I don’t usually read bc I actually love season 3 lol, but this one’s a good one! A twisty deviation from canon, but still feels really true to character.

Chuck Versus the Nerds Rewrite | Steampunk.Chuckster and David Carner

What happens when two nerds talk endless hours about their favorite TV show? A new take on the show you know, but with the flair, twists, and turns you've come to expect from Steampunk . Chuckster and david . carner. Somewhat canon. Charah.

As the summary says, a different take on the show, which honestly makes a couple changes I would too, but also adds a bunch of fun twists and plots that make it totally new and fresh. Seeing Chuck and Sarah’s thoughts in the more canon sections is just delicious, too.

A warning for the very justified M rating if you don’t like that sort of thing, but this is definitely a plot-heavy fic, too. A really neat Sarah-heavy AU, with a whole lotta Chuck/Sarah fancy French vacationy goodness.

Chuck vs the Second Chance | malamoo

AU from mid-season 2 and onwards. Chuck and Sarah part ways only to be reunited years later. COMPLETE.

Literal, crying-at-my-screen angst. Not even a super happy ending. But a brilliantly written, part-reflective/flashback fic, exploring what would’ve happened if Chuck and Sarah’s relationship really was an assignment all along-- and the aftermath. It’s heartbreaking. But if you want a little heartbreak, this is your fic.

Ready at Your Hand | dettiot

In the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, a Catholic plot against the queen comes to the attention of spymaster Sir Francis Walsingham. To protect Elizabeth, he develops an unusual plan: hide the passing of intelligence between two agents by a false romance. When Lady Sarah Walker and Chuck Carmichael meet, though, their pretend flirtation becomes much more.

I love Chuck fic for the very reason that it’s inspired such adventurous and totally unique AUs. Here’s some Elizabethan fake-dating Chuck and Sarah! They have to be so Proper, it’s like that hand moment from Pride and Prejudice but Elizabethan and times a billion. The pining!!

Sarah Versus Getting Married | Steampunk.Chuckster

Sarah Walker is getting married. Canon. Charah.

I’d recommend all of SC’s fics if I had the room, and I’m already recommending a ton sksks but most of my fic recs are AUs, and this one isn’t! It’s canon, and covers some of in the gap in 4x24, with Sarah just before the wedding itself. Super sweet, heart-tugging, brilliant.

A Chuckmas Carol | Mikki13

A new twist to Dickens' beloved "A Christmas Carol". When Sarah begins to shut out the world around her, three spirits come to show her the error of her ways. Season 3 AU.

Another Season 3 AU, this one written pre-series so it definitely doesn’t fit to canon, but it’s still wonderfully rich in character depth and angst and it also made me cry. Plus, festive!

Chuck Versus Thin Ice | Steampunk.Chuckster

On the doorstep of the Olympics, top American curler Sarah Walker has lost her mixed doubles partner and her boyfriend in one fell swoop. Her coaches throw newbie Team U.S.A. curler Chuck Bartowski onto her team and thrust them into the Olympics, hanging America's curling hopes on two people who only have a short amount of time to learn to trust one another. Charah AU.

Do you like curling? Or the Winter Olympics? It doesn’t really matter because somehow this fic made me extremely invested in both of those things, as well as Chuck and Sarah and them being INSUFFERABLE. Catch me now knowing a ton about curling thanks to this fic.

Not the same plot as the movie. Sarah Walker never got out of the con game or became a spy, and now she's on her final con. What happens when true love and betrayal get added to the mix? Twists, turns, and Jeffster!

Con!Sarah always interests me, and this fic is full of her. Lotta con plot, lotta Chuck and Sarah.

I’m particularly in love with this fic because, instead of beginning with a meet-cute, it involves Chuck and Sarah already two years into a friendship-- Sarah is Ellie’s best friend. And she’s been crushing harrrd on Ellie’s brother. Also Chuck is in a tux. It’s pretty.

Set, Spike, Dive! | Frea O’Scanlin

Chuck never expected to even make it to the Olympics. Everything is working against him: he's too tall for a diver, too inexperienced for a medal, too much of a wildcard to really make his mark. But an unexpected meeting at the airport, some intriguing new friends, and a whirlwind romance on the sand just might set up London 2012 as the time of Chuck Bartowski's life.

The original version of this fic is on my first list; this is the updated version! It’s not a complete AU, instead a story that diverges from canon, so if you’re more into canon characters and setting than a new AU scenario, this is a great fic for that.

David’s done something pretty special with this fic. It’s Chuck and Sarah centric, but very much an ensemble piece, too, with a lot of Team Bartowski and other familiar faces throughout.

Chuck Versus the Con Game | Steampunk.Chuckster

AU. Chuck and Sarah are partners in the con game. It's an existence wrought with danger and violence. Every day could be their last. Every mission could be the end of the line.

This is where I freak out SC and declare this fic the reason I ever got hooked on Chuck fic and then wrote Chuck fic, and the reason I still love it today but. that is true lol. Just so. so good. It’s also written with the chapters out of chronological order, which is super fun from a reading perspective. But con!Sarah AND con!Chuck?? Best. The kind of fic you will be thinking about for days (if not, y’know, years).

As you can tell by the repeats, I highly recommend just about anything by Steampunk.Chuckster, dettiot, or David Carner, but there are a TON of amazing Chuck fics and authors out there. I’ve never known a writing community so wildly creative-- there are so many unique AUs and canon explorations and story concepts that this show has manifested, and it’s all so much fun.

Most of the Chuck fic community is still over on FFN rather than AO3, so if any of these whet your appetite, feel free to have a browse there for more stories. I’m sure you’ll find something great. A/N: Alright so bc of popular request I wrote the second part of this series before writing the other 2 asks I have. All of them will be answered by Sunday max, so feel free to send more asks bc my exams are going to start soon and I won’t be able to do much during those. Basically send asks now so I can answer them, requests are going to be closed after February 5 for a week or two. Anyway, send asks and here’s the series:

Dinner was going pretty well, mostly small talk consisting of your jobs. Everyone knew you were working as an Avenger and they supported both you and Carol.

Your hand had remained on Carols knee until you had to eat. The main reason you asked Carol to be your fake girlfriend was because you wanted it to be real. For Christ’s sake you could’ve asked Steve or Sam to fake it to avoid the stares but you really wanted to date Carol. She was oblivious to your feelings for her, just like you were oblivious to your feelings for her.

All of you ordered food and the conversation went quiet as you ate. You had to take your hand off of carols knee to eat, Carol almost took a sigh of relief, it was making her a bit nervous. You thought you’d made her uncomfortable.

After dinner, as all of you waited for dessert, Bethany started making plans to go out again. This time to a popular ice skating rink she knew where they “take such amazing couple photo shoots.”

Carol almost choked on her drink when she heard that. But she still acted completely fine with it. But both of you knew this ice skating rink. Both of you had seen the photos that came from it. Both of you knew a majority of the photos taken there involved kissing nat sunsets or some other cliche with kissing. Bethany was causing more tension than she knew.

“We should totally go there tomorrow!” She exclaimed happily over her tiramisu. She glides her spoon through it and fed her boyfriend. Calissa and Jasmine soon did the same, expecting you to follow.

You heard a chorus of ‘yeahs’ and lifted the spoon towards carols mouth. She gave you a confused look but you gestured your head towards your friends doing the same. She glared at you a bit then hesitantly opened her mouth as you mouthed “trust me.”

Desert ended after both of you fed each other awkwardly. Everyone paid a share of the bill and verified the plan to meet up tomorrow. 5 at the ice skating rink and Calissa was going to reserve a photoshoot at sunset.

All of you went around and hugged each other as a form of goodbye and left the restaurant. Thankfully all of them parked in the garage and you and carol had parked outside. Both of you let out a sigh of relief when you got to the car.

“You said one day y/n.” She said, sitting in the passenger seat as you sat in the drivers seat.

“I know, I know, it wasn’t my fault they made plans to go ice skating.” You muttered, starting the car.

“Yea but now we have to do couple photo shoots?” Carol asked as you drove.

“Yes,” you stated, then asked “why do you hate me being your girlfriend that much?”

“N, no.” Carol said awkwardly. She just couldn’t handle acting like a couple with you when she was completely in love with you and she knew it could never happen. She was sick of pretending though. She switched on the radio, having nothing else to talk about.

You both drove home in awkward silence and entered the compound at 8:38. Clint caught you almost instantly.

“Matching outfits, did you finally go on a date?” He asked jokingly. You and carol were immediately flustered.

“Wait finally?” You asked Clint. He smirked.

“It’s like watching a soap opera kid, and shipping your two favorite characters.” He said, and walked off. Leaving you and carol more flustered and shocked than ever.

“well that was unexpected.” Carol said, walking towards her room. You followed her, both your rooms were on the same floor and next to each other.

“Agreed.” You said, both of you walked back to your rooms, thinking of what just happened. Both of you noticing you were still wearing the others jacket but really didn’t want to give it back.

“Well see you tomorrow I guess.” Carol said, heading back to her room, you noticed her clutching your jacket towards her slightly.

“Yea tomorrow.” You said, opening the door to your room and heading inside.

You decided to change out of your clothes into some sleepwear. You weren’t planning to give the jacket back anytime soon, neither was carol planning to give you your jacket or your sweatshirt back.

You were now lying in your bed, next to carols jacket, trying to prevent cuddling into it. It just smelled so nice. It had the strangest mixture of the smell of jet fuel, burning, Calvin Klein perfume and old leather. It was the strangest mixture, still the most comforting.

Little did you know Carol had changed out of the clothes you’d given her, she was now wearing your sweatshirt with your clothes in a neat pile in the corner of her room. And your leather jacket right next to her as she tried not to smell it.

You smelled like Vince Camuto deodorant, rain, new leather, with the faintest hint of laundry detergent. It smelled so nice the moment she’d put it on, she almost didn’t want to take it off.

Despite both of you not wanting to cuddle into each other’s jackets, you ended up with your face in hers and Carols face in your leather jacket. Both of you wanted the facade you were putting on for your friends to be true so bad.

Carol was scared that she would offend you and would lose you. Her best friend. You were scared of losing her if you confessed. You new better than anyone when she was angry she’d sometimes go out for weeks on end and never come back. You both were so scared, but you kept lying to each other and yourselves.

Carol woke up later than usual, she woke up at 8, she still had about 9 hours hours until she was supposed to be your fake girlfriend again. She decided to spend time with you and wake you up for training.

She noticed she’d cuddled into your jacket as she slept. Her face lit up a bright red at the action, she quickly shook it off and got ready.

She changed into some training clothes, which consisted of a sports bra and leggings and put on the hoodie she was wearing before, completely forgetting it was yours. She picked up your clothes from yesterday, except for your jacket of course and headed to your room.

You woke up to the sound of knocking on your door. Uncaring to what position you were in, you just thought you were snuggled into your pillow with the blanket halfway on top of you.

“Come in.” You said groggily, refusing to move from your position.

“If you missed me that much you could’ve just asked to cuddle with me.” Carol said with a smirk as she saw you cuddling into her jacket.

“What…?” You asked groggily, sitting up as a jacket stuck to your face. Reality slapped you in the face, Carol just caught you snuggling into her jacket as you slept. SHIT.

“Here!” You practically shouted in surprise, throwing the jacket at her.

She caught it with one hand as the other hand balanced your clothes from yesterday. She laughed slightly and set your clothes down on the edge of your bed. You rubbed the eyes groggily and noticed the hoodie she was wearing.

“I could say the same to you, you know?” You said sarcastically as you got off the bed, clad in sweatpants and a hoodie.

“What do you mean?” She asked, then looked down at herself, noticing she was in your hoodie.

She instantly started to take it off, forgetting she was only wearing a sports bra underneath.

“CAROL YOU’RE NOT WEARING A SHIRT!!” You yelled, covering your eyes as Carol had your hoodie half way off. She tried to put it back on but realized she was stuck.

“I’m, uh, y/n, I’m stuck.” She said, nervously.

You uncovered your eyes and looked at her. God she was hot, the hoodie revealed her toned stomach and her sports bra as you saw her struggle to get back in the hoodie. You laughed loudly, blushing slightly. You heard a muffled ‘not funny’ as you walked over to help her.

You sharply tugged your hoodie down, fixing it. The action, even though it helped, carols face was not less than a few inches from yours.

“Thanks…” she muttered, extremely nervous on what to do. She leaned in the smallest amount, you returned the favor.

“I heard some shouting and I thought…” Steve’s voice said from the doorway. Right he was on the same floor, great timing.

You just realized what position you were in. You almost kissed carol and your hands were still on the hem of her sweatshirt as her hands were laying by her sides. You jerked away, almost pulling Carol on top of you by accident.

“Sam you owe me twenty bucks!!” He shouted to Sam behind him. Both of you glanced over at each other nervously as Sam appeared next to him.

“did you guys finally kiss?” He asked, both of you frantically nodded no, still a bit too breathless to speak.

“Ha!” He shouted at Steve, then both of them walked away. Both of you finally caught up with what just happened.

“Wait you guys bet on us?!” Both of you said in unison as you headed out the door. This was gonna be a chaotic day.

Started out with almost kissing, awkward training and a fake date still to go.

I wanna talk about the two main characters in the Veronica Speedwell books because I love them so much and I think their characters are both so interesting and complex 

the books are set in 1888 england

Veronica Speedwell:

amazing

she’s a lepidopterist (butterfly scientist) and she’s very good at what she does

she’s published some papers (under an assumed name; people don’t know she’s a woman when she submits papers to journals) but mostly what she does is find ways to go along on expeditions to different countries and while there she catches rare butterflies and sells them to rich collectors

she fuckign loves butterflies but she also loves killing them and selling their corpses, u know how it is

has traveled around the world extensively

she was raised by two old ladies bc she doesnt have parents (that’s the non-spoilery answer) and they are now dead so she is 25 and has complete freedom

 likes to think she is no-nonsense but is a frequent source of nonsense

one of those detectives who likes to solve the main mystery plus a bunch of other mysteries that don’t need to be solved because she can’t stand dishonesty and loves showing off how smart she is (she’s brilliant)

if you think she is weak she will probably beat you up to prove she is not

she is a tough motherfucker well-trained in self defense

she does have normal human weaknesses but she either lies about them or hides them

very sex positive and loves having sex but wont have sex with british men or in britain because she doesn’t want to torpedo her reputation

Stuck Inside Media Diary Week 2

New week. New movies I had never seen before. Only one was on the DVR so now it’s just like a glorified streaming guide and for that I apologize. There were three movies this week that I had seen before, but I’ve decided, because rules are important, that I won’t re-watch a movie until I watch a new one. Does this matter? No. But it has made me realize that I might be exposing my ass in the upcoming weeks, because we all lie about saying we’ve seen some movies when we actually haven’t. Not the case for this week, but it’s impending.

Warrior, O’Conner 2011 [as of now this is available on Amazon Prime]

As a person who doesn’t really care about MMA or UFC or boxing or bum fights or bare knuckle brawls I went in under the impression that there’d probably be some kind of barrier in my way of enjoying it, despite knowing its esteemed reputation for being man-weep canon. Any movie that opens and closes with a song by The National is fairly transparent about the type of movie its going to be, despite having an extremely yolked Tom Hardy as one of the main characters. My first cry came at a very unexpected moment, especially because Frank Grillo had a significant role in making that happen (though I will say, I had no idea Frank Grillo was in this movie and about midway through I thought “man, that guy kinda looks like Grillo, but he’s kinda small and has a fashion mullet”). However, I’m a cryer, so I don’t want to set the expectation of you will cry at this you piece of shit! but you might and it’ll come out of a good place, because this movie doesn’t trick you into crying by manipulating you into it (okay, it does at one point, but it involves Moby Dick, so again, it’s kinda unexpected). It opens with “Start A War” and ends with “About Today,” a top 5 sad boy song by The National and I’ll be damned if I didn’t listen to it once a day all last week.

Working Girl, Nichols 1988 [as of now this is available on HBO]

Sometime in college, I think in a detective fiction class I took, we talked about knowing a reference to something before knowing what it’s either paying homage to or directly referencing. For example: the first time I read The Long Halloween (which is a Batman comic by Jeph Loeb) I had no idea that basically everything involving Falcone is just ripped from The Godfather, because I had never seen The Godfather at that time in my life; literally the first page of the book is “I believe in Gotham City.” Or in Django Unchained when they go to Mississippi and the title card moves across the screen just like it does in Gone With The Wind (Tarantino movies are generally just long homages and references to other things, so if you need another example, just look to really anything he’s ever worked on). There’s probably a German word for this feeling of recognition and I just don’t have the energy to look to see what it would be, but I felt it while watching Working Girl in two regards. 

The first was that I didn’t realize that School Of Rock is essentially just Working Girl and when you have a realization like this, you feel kinda dumb, because you just assume everyone figured this out before you did. The second was that Joe Swanberg has tried to model his movies after Mike Nichols ones like his life depended on it and he just can’t or rather hasn’t. Also I’m not a person who was alive in the 80s and I’m sure there’s some modern day equivalent (potentially her daughter) who I defend out of some weird sense of contrarian obligation, but what’s uh, what’s going on with Melanie Griffith and her as actor?

BCS season 3 really stepped up to the heights of Breaking Bad and I think I might like it just a little bit better than it? I haven’t watched Breaking Bad in long time, I find it pretty difficult to re-watch (it’s very fire works factory for me) so I’m sure there are some BB highs that I just don’t remember fully, but that BCS can juggle being three different shows all at the same time and do it excellently really has me taken aback. It’s like watching the Coen Brothers jump from genre to genre and not be worried about the end result.

Say Anything..., Crowe 1989 [as of now this is available on Hulu]

I’m unabashedly in the can for Cameron Crowe, which is a semi-embarrassing thing to admit, but whatever. I saw Aloha in theatres and watched We Bought A Zoo when it was on FX once (in real time too, so that means with commercials-this was also the only time I’ve seen We Bought A Zoo, but I think I’d do it again); you can’t hurt me. I think I kept my distance from Say Anything... for so long, because it was one of those things that I’d be annoyed at because it’d resonate with me too much, because feeling that is kinda hacky and embarrassing, but if there’s one thing that Cameron Crowe movies put an emphasis on of importance on, it’s being sincere. And I sincerely loved it (hot, HOT take). Thanks to Russillo for recommending it on Simmons’ podcast last week.

De Palma, Baumbach & Paltrow, 2015 [as of now this is available on Netflix]

The definitive documentaries for the directors of this friend group are basically perfect in their own ways. That this is just De Palma talking about himself and his career and movies, sometimes being incredibly critical of his own work and others. He seems pretty self-aware, probably the most of that group of directors, while still coming across as incredibly cocky. De Palma is perfect for Brian De Palma. However, if anyone wanted to make a 10 hour documentary on Scorsese, Spielberg, Coppola, De Palma and Lucas in this style or it’s just the 5 of them interviewing each other moderated by like Fincher or someone, man....I could really go for that. (I mean if Michael Jordan can get one, why not these guys?)

Heart Of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse, 1991 [A truly wild ride, tells you everything you need to know about Coppola]

Italianamerican, 1974 [While a new documentary about Scorsese is probably what I covet most, he’s a pretty open book about his controversies and he’d probably enjoy talking about other people’s work more than his own-catholicism’s a helluva thing]

The Godfather Pt. I & The Godfather Pt. II, Coppola 1972 & 1974

I don’t know if I necessarily endorse watching both of these back-to-back; I guess I’m glad I did it, even if the motivation was mainly to just see if I could. Obviously these movies are important and good and are about so much more than just gangsters and thugs, but a lot of the time it just feels like eating vegetables for me. I did not grow up in a household that emphasized the importance of The Godfather so maybe that’s part of it, but I’m definitely not as dismissive of these as I used to be (though part of that could be the mental Stockholm Syndrome Bill Simmons, Chris Ryan and Sean Fennessey have given me). Once I finished Pt. I, I felt like I could re-watch it; once I finished Pt. II I felt like my eyes were melting out of my head and onto my hands (this could be because I had just watched 377 minutes of a story). I will probably never do it again, unless it’s the weekend after Christmas and AMC is just going for it-at least then I’ll have intermissions every 20 or so minutes telling me to go shop at Target.

i'm asking a ton of questions now (bc i'm inspired abt worldbuilding rn), but do they have gods? or deities, spirits, do they believe in an afterlife? also are there many different religions? if so, how are they like? also- did they live in like, trees or what was it? do they have temples or other holy places? and are those places, if they exist, so honored that it would be unthinkable to have war and murder inside those areas? also what are their wars like? why do they go to war? :DD

OH MY GOD SO MANY QUESTIONS AHAHA ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME

I will answer them per question! ^^ and I’ll put it under a read more because it’s kind of long! :D

Do they have gods? Or deities, spirits, do they believe in an afterlife? They have only one thing that could be considered a god, and that is the Universe :) since before 1000 Orbits ago, they have known that the Universe exists. Though their history is pretty vague in many aspects (before Emily discovers lots of stuff) there is only one thing that has been constant throughout all these Orbits, and that is: The Universe Exists. Everyone knows it and no one has ever questioned it. The Universe hands out magical powers to those she can give them too. The ones who can receive a magical power are those who carry the gene of Florendra’s magic, and you can never predict if a child will have that gene - neither can the Universe. So sometimes Neflora find it unfair when they do or don’t have a magical power, but since no one can do anything about it, there’s no use complaining :o There is also a rumour going around that the magical creatures named “Daihélie” can communicate with the Universe - which is true! But it hasn’t been proven for many many Orbits. Again, it is Emilaya who revises this proof :)

They don’t have other deities, but they are familiar with the concept of nymphs! A nymph on Elunia is a person who is extremely magical and who has a great importance for the planet. Every single Neflora with the power of Sylencie receives the title “Salyndra”: “Dimension Nymph”. There have been four “Salyndras” before Emilaya. A nymph can be anyone of any gender! The other frequently appearing nymph is Florendra: “Nature Nymph” (”dra” means “nymph” :)). Florendra has two counterparts that were created after she locked herself in her cave: one in the water, and one in the sky. She only vaguely knows those two exists and doesn’t pay attention to them lol. The Neflora know they exist but don’t interact with them. Only Newaflora and Neluflora interact with those nymphs (and only when it comes to it, which is not very often). Those two nymphs are named Walindra, “Water Nymph” and Luzandra, “Sky Nymph”. They don’t feature in the current story but could play a big part in a potential sequel ^^ (this really helps thinking thank you so much for all these questions ahaha).They believe in the afterlife! They believe in the Realm of Souls. When a Neflora dies, they receive a formal burial by the royal family, who use their power of Light to send their soul to the Realm of Souls. The body of the person who has died also disappears when that happens, which is a bit sad :/ And spirits… that is a bit of a remarkable case. They believe in the spirits of those who have passed away, and some can feel their presence! But definitely never in a scary way. The Neflora with the power of Sylencie, when they die, receive the option of the Universe to be sent to the Waterfall of Sylencie, a place where they can basically live forever with all the other Sylencie Feflora who have ever lived and who have decided to go there. The living Feflora with the power of Sylencie can actually visit them! When Emilaya does so, the four other ones are all there. They all had their reasons to decide to go to the Waterfall of Sylencie instead of the Realm of Souls, but I have no idea yet what Emilaya will decide… because in the Realm of Sould you can meet everyone who has ever lived on Elunia, including family and friends.Then there is the remarkable case of the Yukaï. At some point, they develop a way to let their spirits/souls come out when their body dies. Those souls, named ghosts by the Neflora, have such a destructive power that they can kill someone with one touch. It’s horrible D: but it’s also proof that spirits/souls exist within bodies. When they are killed as “living spirits” though, they die forever and won’t go to the Realm of Souls. On Usverna (the neighbouring planet the Yukaï come from) the Yukaï have an actual way of transporting themselves from their Realm of Souls to the physical world. But only the strongest ancestors can do that, with the power of he magical moon of Usverna.

Also are there many different religions? If so, how are they like?There’s a short answer to this one! :D nope, there are no religions~ everyone only believes in the Universe, and for the Newaflora and the Neluflora there are the Nymphs. They do honour them, but not really with temples or churches. It’s more appreciating than honouring though. Walindra swims through the water and receives small talk wherever they go, and in the sky the Neluflora actually chill with Luzandra as if it’s nothing :’) Florendra of course has a dark past, and Emilaya’s arrival is the beginning of her roaming around the Neflora in Sinalópolis. She has been inside a cave for 1000 Orbits! So she’s not good at socialising lol but she’ll become better at it~ especially when she meets creatures she cares for. They don’t start honouring Florendra since they never have and they don’t know how (though Florendra would appreciate it) but at the end she receives such a marvellous thanks from the Neflora that she’s okay with it haha

Also- did they live in like, trees or what was it?Most do indeed! Trees are the most used nature-y things to live in, but flowers without stem and mushrooms are also used! Luciora lives in a tulip, and before Robin and his family moved to the capital, they lived in a mushroom ^^ the royal palace for example is an entire collection of plants connected to each other :) the schools are in trees but the classrooms are like small wooden houses; the Tree of Healing is well, in a tree xD; Emilaya, Robin and Bellány all live in trees; the Lover’s Tree is a tree; etc :)

And are those places, if they exist, so honored that it would be unthinkable to have war and murder inside those areas?Hmmm, no, not really I think :o Emilaya is not familiar with the concept of a temple, which becomes clear when she’s in another dimension where they do have a temple and she’s no idea what it is ^^ there are some holy places, but it’s not holy in the sense of that it would be awful if there was war there; more like, so holy that no-one can reach them :D the Waterfall of Sylencie is one of those places, the Central Point to all dimensions too, and another one is Florendra’s Cave. Florendra made sure no one could ever even see the circle of protection surrounding her, unless they possessed the power of Sylencie. (Funny enough, only the power of Sylencie can enter the Waterfall and the Central Point)(Holy things are probably connected to Nymphs on Elunia lol). But basically, to every Neflora Elunia itself is a holy place. The thought of war or destruction or pain on their planet is extremely horrible to them. The palace is also quite a holy place and in one of Emilaya’s nightmares the burning palace is a symbol for desctruction and despair. But for the rest… no, I don’t think so ^^ I’ll come back to this if I think of anything :) 

Also what are their wars like? Why do they go to war? :DD Hahaha I love the happy smileys behind this xD okay so there are two important wars in the history of Elunia. The first one was 1017 Orbits ago and the entire answer to this question is kind of a huge spoiler xD but it was right after the Black Hole had decided to swallow Elunia as a whole. Though Elunia contained life, which is holy to both the Universe and the Black Hole. So he made a pact with the magicless Neflora living there: they would receive his dark magic, and he would spare their lives. But the dark magic inside them destroyed everything. There was constant fighting, pain, no love, etc. The Universe took action against this, and created Florendra who would be able to save Elunia. Though the dark Neflora started attacking her, which angered her and caused her to lock herself up for 1000 Orbits lol. However, because of the attacks, her magic was released and nestled itself in the heart of the planet. This, actually, was a good thing! It is the birth of Florendra from which the Neflora started counting. Florendra is by the way one of the few myths they still know of! Because of a book that was written in that time which still remains. It is a small book and actually a miracle it survived 1000 Orbits, but Florendra probable had something to do with that as well (since she managed to get a message written inside it). So from that moment on Elunia became a planet full of nature, beauty and magic. And the war was practically over. But something happened of which Neflora weren’t aware or forgot about throughout history, and that is that some Neflora did not want to stay on a planet which would become good and pure (lol) so they travelled to their neighbouring planet, Usverna, where they could live their own dark life. But now, in the setting of my story, the creatures have decided to try to corrupt the heart of Elunia with their dark magic (persuased by their evil ancestors)(but they’re also kind of fleeing from them). So they start a war with the Neflora (through the ages their species name changed and became Yukaï).It is not really a war as on earth I guess, with armies and stuff. The Yukaï fight using surprised and weird, unexpected attacks, like trying to attack the Queen (who holds up the barrier against enemies around the planet), and later personally attacking Emilaya, since they have found out she is the only one who can stop them. There are a few direct confrontations with the Yukaï: the first one when they break through the barrier and attack the capital; the second when they break free from Florendra’s prison and attack at the Rain Feast, the third one when the Neflora infiltrate their prison camp to retrieve Emilaya’s power of Sylencie, and the fourth one when they decide only one final battle can save Elunia. Between these four fights, there are more confrontations and issues caused by the Yukaï that need to be solved. The Neflora never plan on attacking the Yukaï because they’re more or less waiting for Emilaya to collect all Objects to create the weapon (helloooo pressure~). But meanwhile they are training for the bigger fights. The Royal Army of Neflora is expanding by recruiting new people, and the Nenoflora start an army as well (#Luciora). Finally the Feflora learn how to use their powers for battle, something Emilaya always wanted to learn haha. And the training come out handy when they’re fighting! At the last big battle, everyone who has trained their hardest comes together to fight together against the Yukaï. The Yukaï have strange magical powers, of which Peter at some point discover that there’s one mineral they use, which has to do with Magic of Location. This sounds a bit vague, but they use that magical mineral (among other things) to make their flying ship, to teleport Neflora that were hit with a certain attack towards their prison, and to block Emilaya’s portal to Elunia. So even when they’re stuck in Florendra’s prison, they attack passively - and extremely annoyingly. It required some Neflora to actually go to the prison and fix what they have done from the inside. The Neflora are forced to attack the Yukaï when they have stolen Emilaya’s power of Sylencie; and they also are the ones to attack at the very end in the great battle. But the Yukaï have created many ways to attack too, among other things by transforming into destructive ghosts when their bodies die; and creating a power that can temporarily block the Neflora’s magical powers, and powers that paralyse Neflora, etc. It gets kind of intense!

i have a chinese movie recommendation in case you want something to cry over. i still love its ost and it's been months since i watched it. i'm not sure if you watched it already but more than blue. i've never cried over a movie as much as i cried for that one. the angst *chef's kiss*. i'd do anything to wipe my memory of it and watch it again for the first time.

oof the pd48 scandal is extremely complicated. to condense it in a few statements: all of the girls' rankings have been rigged since the very beginning and it was rumored that they already had their end group before the show even started. it was like this for pf48 and pdx101 (group x1) which was why x1 disbanded within a month of debuting, and izone were on hiatus for like 4 months. im not the best at explaining stuff like this haha, but i think you get it. you can check out yt or search up 'pd48 scandal', a ton of articles and videos. as for new groups, nothing has been made clear yet. theyve only made instagram handles for now and appeared on variety shows haha. as for acting career, hyewon was supposed to do acting but was forced to join pd48 so maybe she'll continue acting afterwards? nothing is confirmed yet!
