breaking news: surprising absolutely no one, pik has fallen in love with the fast paced fps game where the big, silent badass of a main character's sole goal is to protect the small, squishy innocents.

#lines i did #roboquest #i love this game its great #the writing is so goofy and i cant quite tell if its intentional or of its bc they dont have an actual writer on their team but eith #either way its simple and silly and i love it #not to mention its very vague and leaves plenty of space for potential worldbuilding...#and the animations range from wonderfully clean and snappy; like the reload animations for each weapon and the enemies movement animations #to 'lets just obscure the boss under esplosion textures and lower it under the floor so we dont actually have to animate it exploding' and #its still hilarious to watch every time #music is DAMN GOOD #gameplay is comparable to modern doom #a little rougher around the edges but hey its an indie studio not a triple a and theyre still working on it #npc designs are DELIGHTFUL. why does the robot wear a fake mustach. why does the robot with a single optic wear a normal pair of goggles.#they have so much character despite none of them uttering a single word ever #except for max i guess; she has dialogue. but shes also Literally The Only Human In The Game so like. she gets a pass.#anyway more of my mutuals should buy it so we can co-op it together.#(mutuals if u buy it let me know id be 100% down to co-op it with u)

Guys I legit just had a dream where I read a bsd comic on here and it made me cry so much. And now im awake and its not real and I 100% do not have the artistic talent to recreate it (nor do i want to hurt myself that way, wow it made me cry so much)

#bsd #bungou stray dogs #crab says words #it was a soukoku comic and chuuya died and dazai freaked out and it was lowkey anesans fault #because it was a dream there were very casually homestuck trolls in the background that i didnt notice at first and idk why they were there #and like it was a modern au so they had to have been homestuck cosplayers?? like why were they there!! im so confused #in the comic dazai and chuuya use to be together and they did drugs and when dazai decided to get clean he tried to take chuuya with him #but anesan thought he was a bad influence as hes the reason they started in the first place and said she could take better care of chuuya #without dazai around so made dazai leave and not come back and idk why dazai did so but he did and he got clean and made new friends #but then he gets a call and is on a train and has to id chuuyas body cuz he overdosed and idk where anesan even is at that point #and i legit cried my heart out only to wake up and its not even real??? and i still wanna cry over it???#this is not a very detailed retelling cuz i suck at doing that but like guys why is my brain doing this to meeeee

90% of all Yugioh card effects are either "move a card from one zone to another" or "negate an effect" so I made a bunch of combat keywords so that monsters can actually be interesting on the field.

#asks #custom cards #also i managed to make them all different subtypes and get exactly 2 of each attribute so that's cool #anyway i'm barely even exaggerating about the 90% thing #“add a card from deck to hand” “special summon a monster” “destroy a card”#so much stuff is just moving cards between zones #and a lot of the rest is just “negate a card/effect” “effects can't target this” “can't be destroyed by effects”#just moving cards around or preventing cards from being moved around #how about actually caring about the battle phase?#yugioh's combat mechanics are really different than magic's so directly translating stuff like menace or haste doesn't work #but the difference also means there's so much opportunity for different abilities like Tricky or Stealthy or Guardian!#some translate fairly well like Vigilance into Resilient and Double Strike into Double Attack #and some are practically 1-to-1 like Deathtouch to Venomous and Trample to Piercing #Assist was an awkward one #the concept is so clear and simple and cool: it lets your monsters team up to attack together!#but mtg's Banding shows how that simple concept can be very difficult to translate into clean rules #even its spiritual successor Enlist had to specify “nonattacking creature without summoning sickness”#which i think is one of the only times that the term “summoning sickness” has appeared on modern cards #yeah i just checked and the only other cards that mention summoning sickness are stuff that involve creature-lands #i went back and forth on how exactly to word it before i decided to go the shortest and cleanest route of “spend this monster's attack”#which is also the most confusing wording if anything remotely unusual happens #heck it's not even clear whether it works while in defense position!#the idea is the same as Enlist: you can only use it if the monster COULD attack #so anything that prevents it from attacking also prevents it from assisting #but honestly if i were in charge i wouldn't even print this keyword because its wording is either too long or too confusing #also the Wrath effect appears on a few existing cards like Flame Wingman and i like it #Piercing also already exists in a kind of pseudo-keyword state #“if this monster attacks a defense position monster inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent”

People really don't like the awesome new AI software that took an incredible amount of time, effort, and money to get working Solution: We gotta start anthropomorphizing the AI image generators.

#ironically i have been extremely anti-anthropomorphizing the AI chat bots #so many people who dont know what go in to the tech #are very very quick to believe that something like chat GPT is 'real'#and I want to make sure that doesnt happen as much as possible #(both because it shows vast misunderstanding of the tech.#and is an unhealthy relationship with a corporate entity that could stop existing tomorrow)#but when it comes to stablediffusion we should put it in a cute robot #and make people watch the robot make stuff #like that modern art piece of the robot cleaning that fluid off the floor forever or whatever #except its a robot that people can walk up to and ask it to draw things for them

brown eyes refuse to meet blue as they survey the damage; they remain focused elsewhere even as careful hands wipe at tender wounds; tension still hangs heavy in the air despite the danger being long behind them, and it sets the demoness on edge. not that she was feeling comfortable as she cleaned the blood from bill's face in silence, but she'd feel a little better if the blonde would look her in the eye. if he'd just-- say something, anything, maybe her chest wouldn't feel so tight.

" what-- " kaiya pauses, searching for better words, kinder words, and rinses her bloodied rag in the kitchen sink. she toys with the fabric for a moment before she meets bill's eyes again, reaches up to gently dab at his chin ( his bottom lip is busted, and her grip tightens upon the rag ). " you didn't need to fight those men. they were full of hot air. " until you reacted to them, she means to say, but she knows her tone is already a little short. it's not what she wants. it isn't like her.

her frown deepens, gaze falls from his lips to his shirt ( there's blood on it, staining the collar ). more quietly but still pointed, she asks, " why didn't you walk away? "

in my head this is an au where EVERYTHING in p:la is modern day - so, the clans, wardens, galaxy team, etc.

also-and this is critical-melli and ingo HATE each other. they're roommates yes but they also CANNOT FUCKING STAND each other and complain about each other constantly. melli's on a voice call playing games with the diamond clan wardens or something and complaining about how "FINALLY irida hired someone for x position, it's about fucking time, i've been so sick of doing everything my- oh wait my roommate is home hold up" and takes off his headphones to yell "HEY IT TOOK YOU SO FUCKING LONG TO GET GROCERIES I WAS HOPING YOU DIED ON THE WAY" and everyone on call is like wait i thought you two were cool?? and melli is like why the fuck would you think that

melli thinks ingo's the weirdest person he's ever met and he can't cook for shit which means melli has to do EVERYTHING unless they want takeout constantly and ingo is constantly getting on melli's ass about dishes and skuntank shedding everywhere. nobody understands why one of them hasn't just moved out by now
