forgive me if i lose tubbo character analysis points (rolls eyes heavily) over this or something but i honestly dont think the date was very ooc or that the frubbo romance is going to be played as something that makes qtubbo better. obviously qtubbo gained a lot of trust issues and lost a lot of hope in others + started to strongly believe that love only hurts after purgatory and the funeral. and hes an extremely defeatist guy at heart
but he also makes exceptions because no matter how much he tries to disconnect himself he still cares so so much about others. he has such a weird fucked up view of love and justifies seeing sunny as an exception by saying they wont hurt each other because their love is unconditional and yet he also claims empanada isnt safe when bagi is around because the eye workers will use that connection to their advantage And Yet he constantly looks after and takes care of sunny anyways. even though hes already mourning her before theyve even died. even though by his own logic it may be safer for sunny to not be with him
and like.. he says dont get attached empathy makes you weak but he tries to ruin fit & pacs date so they dont abandon him. he still jokes around with them and has happy moments with them bc ultimately theyre his friends and even if they dont Really understand what hes going through or what would help him they want to be there for him and make him happy and they Do make him happy. bc qtubbo doesnt spend all of his time with his friends whining and groaning about how theyre going to leave him some day and despite being suicidal and defeatist and at times a fucking jerk that isnt his whole personality
depressed people Have happy days. they have ups and peaks in their life and yeah actually many of them do manage to have nice relationships and theres a lot of depressed people out there who are fully capable of just. not being complete downers to be around all the time (cough a lot of comedians have depression cough). if anything i would argue it isnt just in character but realistic for qtubbo to be able to just. have a normal date where hes a bit of a loser and manages to get through an actual confession
and its not like hes going all in oh we're dating and we're going to get married now bc he doesnt even consider themselves boyfriends and he turns down sunny claiming fred as another parent. he just had a happy day and it boosted his mood a little. i dont think fred is really on his list of trusted people and in fact i feel like him just being very silly and awkward during the date is a Part of him not fully trusting fred or wanting to be super serious around/with her. i think to qtubbo fred symbolizes sure some pain from the whole funeral situation but also still a lot of happier simpler times and ultimately a time where tubbo was happier and openly hopeful
if anything, tubbos relationship with fred is another form of escapism for him. of course it isnt going to make him better. he literally brought fred to him and sunnys island where they plan to live far away from everyone to avoid their problems. its all a fantasy for him, and one that he isnt even allowing himself to fully jump into but will joke about and dance around the subject of nonetheless

Henry's driving force being revenge is very very important to me. The only reason he's still going is so he can eventually fuck William over. He will kill for it. He will ruin other people's lives for it. He needs to do this because what's the point if he can't finish all this with his own, bloody hands? You can't give me back what you've taken, but you can give me something that's almost as good.

a duck walked up to a carmen sandiego blog, and said to the folk running the blog:
"hey, got any headcanons for what music or artists CS characters listen to?"
(excuse my terrible joke. my friend already sent an anon ask abt this but since she has ADHD i'll do it again for her lol. thanks!)
Zack and Ivy listen to The Duck Song at full blast at 4am. Shadowsan considers rejoining VILE and Carmen is just incredibly confused

The Snowball Dance
Unfortunately, it took me a while before Nancy became my favorite character, but one of the most important scenes towards that jump in ranking was the Snowball Dance, when she asked Dustin to dance with her. First off, it's already kind of sweet that she was willing to be a chaperone at the dance in the first place. However, it’s that simple act of kindness that really lets her character shine.
Nancy was friends with the party, sometime before season one. She has genuine relationships with all the boys, even though insecurity and other teenager-doms have distanced them. Even though she no longer talks to them much, she still cares a lot. She notices them, and pays attention to their feelings. When Nancy caught sight of Dustin’s dejection, she didn’t just smile encouragingly, or go over to give him some sort of pep talk. She had far too much empathy for the reality of his situation for that. Nancy was a social outcast without many friends herself. She genuinely felt for him in that moment, and understood. It wasn’t pity that moved her, but compassion.
Still, sitting and comforting him would have been an act of compassion in and of itself. Nancy asked him to dance instead. She kept in mind how it might have looked to his peers, and decided to attempt to use that in his favor instead of invoking pity; a pretty older girl wanted to dance with him.
It's such a simple scene with no real hidden layers, which makes it hard to really dissect. But that same concept could have been handled in a hundred different ways without it being so pure and good as it was. Nancy could have come across as kind of uncomfortable with it, instead of being so focused on him. She didn’t have to be so sweet as she gently taught him on how to dance with a girl more naturally and less awkwardly. She wasn’t exactly sure what to say to make him feel better, but everything she did say was genuine. She kept it lighthearted, but I think she really believed everything she said; he was her favorite of Mike's friends, and he really would capture some girls hearts when he grew up.
She then proceeded to make sure he had a genuinely good time, laughing and joking with him.

We know Amber has beef with Sam but how do you think Sam feels about Amber and does she notice Ambers influence on Tara before she disappears?
You know, I've never actually thought about that.
We know there was existing animosity between Amber and Sam and that had to originate from before Sam left. I truly think that once Sam left, she did not come back or contact Tara until we see her return in 5.
I think Sam was too in her own head and dealing with her own stuff at the time to really recognise or understand the influence Amber had on Tara. Because if she wasn't, well then Amber wouldn't necessarily have a platform to integrate herself into Tara's life in the first place.
In my headcanons, the dad leaves in Dec 2010, and she fails that year of school, so is held back/repeats that year, starting Sep 2011 - just before Scream 4 happens. So, 8 (soon to be 9) year old Tara, begins to spend a lot of time with 7 year old Amber. It only takes Amber a few months to decide Tara is hers, so I'm absolutely losing it at the thought of 7 year old (maybe nearly 8) Amber beefing with a 14 year old Sam.
The thing is, I don't think anyone really recognises that there's something weird about Sam & Tara's relationship or the way Tara connects with people until after Sam has left. Sam is nearly 19 by the time she leaves, and she's seen how other people are with their siblings but it doesn't really click because that's how it's always been for them. She tries therapy at 20 and learns that her childhood was super fucked up actually. She quits when the therapist tries to tell her that her relationship with her sister was wrong and asks if Sam holds any resentment towards her sister for ruining her childhood. She doesn't go back to therapy for another 2.5 years, until the hallucinations start. Tara begins to recognise there's something wrong with the way she feels after Sam leaves and she breaks down over it. But Amber is there to hold her and pick up the pieces and she tells her it's ok and Amber is seeing these Big feelings and doesn't push her away, and she clings to her instead.
So Amber and Sam have animosity. No one really has the language or the understanding to explain why or what is wrong. We know why Amber hates Sam. But on Sam's side?
Sam just isn't in the mood to be judged by some kid for things she can't understand. Tara's always still so excited and loving when Sam is around, so Sam knows Amber's hate isn't coming from anything Tara is doing - not that she would blame her even if it was, Sam's been short with Tara lately, she would deserve to complain to her friend about her. Sam never really has strong feelings about Amber, she's just some kid who Tara seems to like and who hates her. Amber doesn't mesh well with Tara's other friends, which concerns her, but at the same time, Amber is Tara's best friend.
Sometimes Sam gets a vibe like there's something weird about Tara & Amber's relationship, especially as they get older. But her friends just tell her that she's jealous and it's normal that she and Tara have grown apart a little, and it makes sense for her to confide in her best friend more than her sister. Sam feels a bit petty for vying with a kid for her sister's attention.
At the same time, it's a relief, she has never had more freedom and space with someone else looking after Tara. She hates how guilty that makes her feel, Tara isn't some obligation. Eventually Sam gets to a point where she can't even look after herself, and she knows she's spiralling but she just can't stop. The intrusive thoughts have been getting louder and louder and she starts to push her sister away more and more when all she wants is to pull her close. It pushes her into Amber instead.

wait ive got a concept of some dialogue/a convo betwen anakin and rex about a battle they're trying so hard to win, but theyre taking losses that are outweighing the rewards of winning and Rex is tryig very hard to get anakin to change the plan. anakin's stubbornness and unwavering faith in the 501st are about to make him put them on a path of destruction. anakin keeps saying "we can do it, we can do it, one last push" until rex just says "You can do it."
Anakin pauses and looks at rex. Rex repeats "you can do it, sir."
There's so much that's implied in that line--anakin, a force user, the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, confusing his prowess with that of his men's. "two hours ago we cleared several kilometers with only three walkers, no air support, and 155 men." Theyve been "resting", waiting for the next wave of droids, for that final push anakin so desperately wants.
Rex: "an hour ago, we had 130 men. 15 minutes ago, 125"
"We haven't been fighting."
"They dont need to fight to die, sir."
There's a moment of hesitation. Anakin calls a retreat.

Does Jiro has ghost like abilities (possession, ability to levitate things, etc etc) or does she just live in Shiro's head?
when i created this au, i thought the best option would be for her to be unable to interact with the physical world in any way(including possesion), beacuse i really wanted to lean into her isolation and how it affects her....... and while thats something i still want to emphasise here, lately ive been toying with the idea of jiro being able to impact the physical world somehow(though it still being fairly limited). i think letting her have some control could have a lot of potential! buuuut i also have no idea what abilities i want her to have lol
For now i think im not gonna give her any telekinetic abilities, bc i feel like it would be giving her too much power......... if she could throw shit, shed go APESHIT with it. it would made things too easy for her. i'm sorry babygirl but i'm NOT giving you the possibilty to throw knives and other sharp objects, i dont trust you to not kill someone:/
i really like the idea of her being able to temporarily posses her old body in certain circumstances tho- maybe when shiros uncouncious?? or like when hes is very tired or heavily injured she can kind of 'squeeze through' and take control back for a few minutes???? idk. i think this could be a very cool ability to give her- it cant be frequently used but can also be very helpful, and also theres so much potential for ✨shenanigans✨here>:) oh god i could put these fuckers in so many Situations with this..........
uhhh. so basically i think all of her influence on the physical world are through shiro. shes here bc of her connection to her old body, and thus its the only way for her to interact with anyone besides him- and shes NOT HAPPY about this(neither is shiro).
