Day Thirty-One: Fulfilment

Scorpius lies in the master bedroom of Malfoy Manor. His parents sit on either side of him, their eyes bright with unleashed tears. 

Harry fluffs the pillows. It's the tenth time in five minutes. 

Draco cradles Scorpius’ right hand, presses the back of it against his cheek, kisses it. 

Draco's tears are cold against Scorpius’ hand, his cheek smooth like polished marble. Scorpius wears his age spots and wispy hair like a badge of honour. His parents stand frozen in time, their souls marked in ways their bodies will never show. 

Death darkens Scorpius’ doorstep. Scorpius welcomes him. He cradles Scorpius’ face, like an old friend, admires the deep interlinked wrinkles that map a fulfilled life, smile lines even deeper. 

Death drops a kiss to his temple. Scorpius succumbs to it, letting his soul be carried away. Weightless, knowing his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren and generations to come, are all under the safe hands of his immortal fathers.

having the absolute best time with @vampire-exgirlfriend. Booked this trip after losing my job, and outside of the absolute nightmare that was the airport delays/cancellations, it's been nothing but absolutely spiritually healing.

There is nothing better than sitting on the couch, working on fic plotting, going out and about, just giggling together in the same way we do online, except now we compare how her pinky finger is the size of my toe and dealing with the dogs trying to climb on top of us.

I'm grateful to be at the point in my life where I'm able to do this. I'm able to go see a long distance friend and not just talk to her via text and occasional voice chat. I'm able to just fall into the comfortable rapport we share online as we do in person.

Also, I fucking left my house properly for the first time in almost a month, and that is very good too

I need non autistic people to realise meltdowns are a real debilitating thing that has a serious effect on your mental and physical health NOWWWWW!!! The way its been trivialized and lessened pisses me the fuck off. It's not a tantrum and it doesn't come from "being too weak-willed" it's painful and it's embarrassing AND MOST OF ALL IT'S INVOLUNTARY!! Don't claim to be an ally to autistic or disabled people and then make fun of people who have meltdowns. Literally get the hell out of my sight
