the point is that 15 is not the first Doctor to be openly queer and he is not the first Doctor to become romantically involved with someone of the same sex. stop believing the headlines from Disney that this is the first time the Doctor has been queer onscreen. we are NOT letting them take credit they dont deserve

Synopsis

As if the death of his best friend wasn't enough, the Doctor's situation has only gotten worse. What initially started as an attempt to help clear someone of a false murder charge has evolved into to something much worse.

Now trapped in an old rusty castle in the middle of an ocean, the Time Lord is being stalked by a mysterious creature that only pauses when he gives up his deepest secrets. What does this thing want? And can the Doctor escape and find his way back home?

"that's what I like about you, the domestic approach" immediately followed in the next episode by "i'd have to settle down. get a house or something" / "i'd have to get one, too. we could share"..... you just. you really get a sense that ten is changing his mind. that rose is different than anyone else. the way he adamantly denies when rose says she's going to die in battle. as if it isn't a Rose Tyler Classic to continuously charge in head first into danger to do the right thing, even and especially against her own well being. as if Believing In Her really will be enough to save her every time.........

some Thasmin ‘beach moment’ headcanons

-She takes Yaz to a beach on Earth, her second home (or third, apparently). Somewhere along the Atlantic

-They arrive at around 2:30am. That way they could watch the stars, and Yaz wouldn’t see the Doctor crying. And in a few hours they could watch the sunrise, a bit of cheesy symbolism to signify their new start (open communication)

-Yaz can see the tears anyway, the Doctors face is glittered with the reflection of starlight. Yaz tells her that.

-Yaz asks if it’s possible that the Doctor is a star, born out of a nebula and all. The Doctor says it’s plausible. and smiles.

-In an attempt to release anger during a painful conversation about Tecteun, they get up and start kicking sand, violently. It’s helping. Yaz accidentally sends a good amount directly into an oncoming gust of wind and they are laughing when they fall back onto the ground.

-When she talks about the loss of Gallifrey, as the words pour out, she finally recognizes what a certain aching in her heart is saying. She leans into Yaz, and lets herself be held. She soon wraps her arms, hard, around her friend. She can feel a few gears shifting and clicking inside of herself. She can feel Yaz’s weight and her presence. She feels like a tether. She can’t believe she took so long to understand.

-They agree that regardless of everything out there, she has a place on earth, and earth has a place in her. Yaz squeezes her hand tight. Then reminds her that Umbreen is dying to get to know her better.

-As the sky fills with color, Yaz opens up about some struggles in her past. It leads to her comparing the Doctors presence in her life to the clarity and light of dawn.

-Shortly after the sun rises, they walk up to the boardwalk to get ‘ice cream for breakfast’. The shops aren’t open yet, so the Doctor sonics her way in and they scoop their own cones. Yaz can’t stop grinning the entire time and the Doctor has trouble looking away from her.

-They’ve rinsed their hands off in the ocean, and laid out in the sand, under the sun, Yaz says, “The way they… used you.. to make the others… could that, hypothetically.. work on me?”
