Hi! My family normally raises water types, but my daughter has been drawn to fire types as of late, and fire type Pokemon seem to love her too! We're all trying to be supportive, but her slugma looks very sad when all our water types are splashing in the pool together, or go on boat trips. What activities can we have that are friendly for everyone, without battling?

Slugma swim really well, maybe that ones a little new or shy to the idea but let them try? In the wild they'll wade across rivers and through lakes to reach new locations. Their bodies heat the water a bit, but otherwise they just pool on the top and float across at a slow rate. Small bits of them may harden and sink, but no more than the normal amount you get in the day as they travel around on land.

Its a myth that fire types dont like to be in the water. Even charizard, with their exposed flames, are known to soak in water seemingly for joy.

If theyre nervous about trying, which is expected in younger slugma, especially if theyve never done it, let them test the waters quite literally in a shallow body, don't just throw them in the ocean right away. Treat them like the kids right? just let them do things at tehir own speed, encourage them, be supportive, and see if they like it or not, if not, so be it, but at least they tried.

Regardless, other fun activities could include sports, games like hide and seek, toys, walks, watching movies, being read to, some like to take part in house things like cooking, others are fond of painting, or crafts, exploring.

A slugmas body doesnt alwasy burn, they can reduce their temperature to very warm, being able to handle most items and tools, and be held like a hot goop. They have diverse personlaities too, so maybe ask them what they like to do? I feel like they'd give you a more accurate idea of the best activities that'd suit them. No two are the same, and its down to personla taste, there will be a good cross over for all your pokemon somewhere.

like yea those movies are guilty of dipping into The Usual Tropes for a cheap laugh but not only is the character writing for the fat characters the strongest and most sympathetic ive Ever seen literally just the character designs of the pandas in the 3rd movie get me choked up sometimes. theyre all so appealing and clearly treated with the same care and attention as everyone else without copping out and making them Barely Fat. po is already a size that doesnt exist in film protags and hes still the thinnest person in that whole village and that meant a lot to me

as we enter the start of a semester and the dreaded Hour of Making Friends us upon us... if ur ever at a loss for what to say in one of those weird social situations where you only vaguely-know people, one of my favorite questions to ask is "what is your favorite food crime." a food crime is like the food combination that you love that other people find revolting. press them to take it further than pineapple on pizza, that's rote. food crimes is a good topic that has many benefits as it turns out all people are degenerates and also it will give you some cool ideas to try out later in the privacy of your own degenerate kitchen

the other good thing to ask is "okay but has anyone here ever been someplace haunted" bc it turns out if you ask most people directly they don't believe in ghosts, but many people are like "oh yeah i lived in a haunted house. ghosts aren't real tho"

it remains extremely funny to me that freddie wong accidentally (?) made Dan Fucks, embodiment of pleasure, so distinctly ace-coded. like, Dan talks a big game about sex and seems to view it as interesting and desirable, but when presented with such an obvious in for it he completely ignored Avaricci's come-ons to just talk about non-sexual pleasures like goddamn cold pillows. he's not paying attention to sex at all when it's not personally convenient or expected of him to do so.

100% Elias is ace and just doesn't realize people genuinely crave sex and it's not a metaphor or exaggeration like it is for him yet. bless him.

i think the most important thing i've learned from years of working to recover from trauma and break the cycles of abuse i was both a victim and perpetrator of is that i can't change that i was hurt or that i hurt other people in the past, but i can use that to empower myself to learn from those experiences in order to do better in the present and future. obviously it would have been better if none of it had ever happened, but instead of hand-wringing over what-ifs and if-onlys, i accept that it's done and can't be changed, but i still can. i don't have to let myself be defined by my regrets.
