Happy lunar new year, C! i hope this little gift finds you well <3 i had so much fun making it, i intended it to be more elaborate/detailed but i've been struggling with some hand pain so i had to settle for this more loose style, i hope you still like it! the text is a shortened version of the poem "good bones" by maggie smith, i read it a long time ago and it really left an impression on me n i couldn't get this idea out of my head. in your likes you listed you like kidfics and and kissing, i don't write but i still tried to marry the things you mentioned in a way 🤍

MY BABY GIRL | Haru, Makoto, Rin & Sousuke

For reference the child wouldn’t be a baby but a toddler around 2 or 5 years old. Just for the sake of narrative potential.

Haru:

Haru has no self control. He has absolutely no heart to say no to his baby girl.

He has tried to introduce her to swimming since she was a baby. It was very common for you to arrive from work or the store and find a note that said that he had taken your 5 months old to the pool. But of course he’s holding her the whole time and is a proud dad when the kids come to say hi to her.

When she got older Haru absolutely signed her up to ITSC and taught her how to swim (okay he called Makoto and they both did).

He can be a bit confused when his little girl stays home drawing instead of going to swim.

Probably panics when his child isn’t obsessed with swimming free. Haru.exe stopped working.

But he supports her regardless and buys her crayons and coloring books and teaches her some things.

But if she asks to go for a swim or if she can have a new swimsuit Haru does not waste a second to take them to the store to buy whatever she needs.

Even instructs her into what to keep in mind when buying the perfet swimsuit.

Having a kid definitely takes him out of his comfort zone. “What do you mean kids don’t eat mackerel?” He has to learn to cook mackerel-less meals and a lot of sweets.

But if someone is up to the challenge that’s Haru.

Makoto:

Look, Makoto with a baby girl? Gone. Lost. Doomed.

I have the theory that no sane man, no matter how strict or serious... is brought down to his knees if they have a daughter.

Naturally a softie like Makoto just melts for his princess.

Always gives her what she wants.

Makoto always offers to be the one to check on her since she was a baby. From a dirty diaper to a nightmare, Makoto is always there for her.

He absolutely panics when his daughter becomes uncle Haru-level obsessed with the ocean. At first trying to persuade her off from it.

But eventually caves it and gives her so many floaties, a whistle for emergencies, one of those float toys with umbrellas so she doesn’t get sunburns. And still goes with her.

Both play a lot in the sand though. I feel like that when she was a baby Makoto would take one of this big plastic boxes to put her in so she wouldn’t actually go in the ocean.

Makoto teaching his girl to swim when she’s old enough🥺 and being baffled by her bravery.

I feel like rather than asking for candy or toys, Makoto’s daughter would be all about asking for his time.

But they still eat a lot of candy, both have a sweet tooth and Makoto now has an accomplice.

He would lay on his back and she would climb him like a mountain while Makoto is trying his best not to laugh.

Playing superhero and having Makoto wear a bedsheet around his neck like a cape and your girl wearing green clothes and rawring and stomping around like a monster.

Playing school and Makoto taking the “assignments” way too seriously.

Both would nap together almost all the time.

Makoto bringing little toys for her and a ton of stuff animals, the plushies daddy gives her are her favorite.

Makoto would be a superb dad.

Rin:

He definitely cried when she was born.

And I don’t mean a little tear here and there. But full on sobbing.

He does anything for her baby girl.

Aunt Gou can never complain that Rin was overprotective. Dad Rin is way worse.

He looks at all the boys at the kindergarden like they’re little deliquents that will try something with his princess.

“Rin. they’re four years old.”

Rin was this close to taking a little break from swimming professionally to spend time with his little girl.

But of course as a professional swimmer he has to travel a lot.

He cries both when he has to leave and when he arrives again.

Once he’s home he spends all of his time with his friends and family. But mostly with your daughter and you.

He shows her all of his photo albums and old medals and thropies. And a lot of photos of his dad.

He understands a lot more why his dad became a fisherman when he had him and Gou.

Your daughter is Rin’s biggest fan. Every time you get to attend his tournaments you dress your daughter in red and give her red pompoms and she cheers a lot for her daddy.

Rin cries because she’s so cute.

Like Makoto, Rin plays a lot with his daughter. Carrying her in his arms and runs around the house while making airplane noises.

He tickles his daughter out of misbehaving.

Sousuke:

Sousuke is the most level headed dad of the bunch.

Which is kind of like being the tallest dwarf.

Despite being one of the few ones that can say no to their daughter, his daughter has Sousuke wrapped around her little chubby baby fingers.

Sousuke is a bit nervous around her. And he was scared of hurting her because she is so tiny and fragile.

She loves going to the park and Sousuke sucks at directions which means that he gets them both lost so your daughter learned to be a living GPS.

Sousuke is so proud of his little baby girl.

But he still gets lost sometimes but as we know Sousuke is food oriented so when they arrive they have already eaten and discovered a new food place.

Sousuke loves meat but after one night babysat by uncle Haru your daughter loves mackerel and Sousuke is so offended. The little traitor.

And when she’s in a mood for mackerel Sousuke tries to make her change her mind but as soon as she makes that pouty lip he’s done for.

Sousuke isn’t the most playful time but he always makes it clear that his daughter is always welcome and let’s her play on the table with her toys when he’s busy to have her nearby.

And she lets her play nurse with him and tells her a lot about his shoulder injury (nothing graphic or scary) and teaches her how the injure therapy works.

With his healthier arm he lifts her just to make her giggle.

Speaking of which he always carries her in his shoulder when they’re in public so she can see everything.

In an official art it shows Sousuke can play guitar (I know it’s an electric guitar but c’mon) so imagine him playing songs for her. Both fun songs for her to sing and dance along and lullabies to help her sleep.
