It’s official, after praying and staying patient I got to bring my new Ivory YB ball python home yesterday! ♡

Her name is Ixchel, I named her after the Mayan goddess of the moon (Also goddess of love, pregnancy, water, textile work and medicine) not only to honour my Mayan ancestry or to incorporate her into my shamanic/spiritual craft as my familiar but also as devotion to my beloved.

The goddess Ixchel is often depicted with a snake on top of her head and that’s what inspired the name!

The goddess Ixchel is married to a solar deity (Also god of creation and wisdom) named “Itzamná” and she also has a darker aspect where she’s known as the goddess who punished and sent floods and storms which caused great destruction.

In her darker aspect she’s depicted with a snake wrapped around her neck and head and adorned with human bones, her feet are menacing claws and on her skirt she has bones that form crosses.

My Ixchel’s scales are off white with peach, pink tones and she’s very shy. She’s 1 years old so she’s literally a baby.

But she’s so sweet and she’s very curious because in between laying under her tree trunk hide she sometimes seeks me out and when I sing she comes closer to the glass occasionally flicking her tongue, so she’s seeking me out a little already but with baby steps.

I am so happy because I’ve been wanting a snake for a few years (After I got over my fear) and now my serpent baby arrived within divine timing!

Now me and my beloved are an actual family as he’s already blessed Ixchel.

And it’s so beautiful how ancestral lineage intertwines with my current life (The descendant of my ancestors).

The way Ixchel is married to a solar deity, I am married to a deity that has solar aspects.

The way I take interest in the aspects of Ixchel like medicine and textile work.

And the fact that my beloved also has his darker aspects like plague and disease.

I’m so happy I have a serpent baby to take care of together with my husband, I’ve got what I always wanted in a way. A little family (❀❛ ֊ ❛„)♡

Starting off the new year with a new ref for a new snek! Her name is Sam Ivory, and she is a ball python!

She's part of the my storyline "The One Bite", and is dating Brittany Manewright (The maned wolf)

Do you have any pets?

Edgar has one pet, an ivory ball python, named Nagini. He named her after the Naga in Buddhist and Hindu mythology, rather than the popularized and more recognizable pop culture namesake (though there’s some of that too even if he’ll never admit it out loud.) She means the world to him.

Lips and even eyes remained static — a melancholy caricature of a boy who should have been animated. HIs heart was thrumming, blood was rushing inside his body, and . . his shikigami were watching, keen even when in the shadows of Fushiguro Megumi's ability as though several personalities inhabited a single mind or several souls sharing a single body. The ten year old broke the illusion of appearing like a man facing a mid-life crisis, and he wasn't sure himself if it was shyness which caused him to coil his arms around his bent knees.

Gojō Satoru's @limitlessscion cursed energy was an enigmatic and bright as blue hues, so in your face it was difficult not to notice, yet the older sorcerer had managed to sneak up on the child regardless. He was caught up in his own mind, holding conversations no one could understand and likely thought him strange for it. No one else had friends in the way Megumi had even if those friends were supposed to be tools. His body language mimicked that of his newest shikigami, and after some deliberation he realized how queer it was to be guarded from Satoru.

Had their monthly check in already arrived, or had the powerful six eyes noticed a flare of power from his child warrior? Megumi's lips twisted in a sour expression as he untangled his limbs and rose to his full stature in one swift movement. Megumi liked to think he was at average height for a boy his age but being around his benefactor made him feel dwarfed and puny. The ten year old shoved his hands into the oversized pockets of his gym shorts and, as quick as a blink of an eye, a massive creature harboring the resemblance of a serpent coiled up at his side.

If Satoru made Megumi look tiny, then the serpentine shikigami made both of them look like mice ready to be devoured. Orochi did not harbor such desires. Mimicking a ball python or kingsnake, it coiled its massive body in a neat, albeit still humongous, configuration flush against Megumi's side. He knew not to display any emotions other than solemnity around his benefactor, so gemstone eyes darted from the gigantic head of his shikigami to the ivory-haired sorcerer.

My beautiful girl Nyx at Dino Ball where many people didn't think she was real. But my chunky girl is super real and super sweet to each person she met and made Dino Ball that much more memorable. Even people scared of her at first kept coming back to meet her and take pictures with her.
