Since Asti was born, our tradition has always been to have dinner with the family, wait for 12am and let Asti open gifts. After she opens her gifts, we all sleep. We will then go to Alabang for Mama's family's yearly get together. In the next days that we are home, Asti waits for his friend "bote dyaryo" to pass by our house. We give away all Asti's old toy for the children of his Lolo Bote Dyaryo. That's it. We taught her to be appreciative and contented with what she has and she is. She truly is. This year's Christmas is a lot of firsts, sone painful, some happy, but all in all, we want to focus on gratitude. This is our first Christmas without Kuya. This is our first Christmas in Canada. This is our first Christmas without the Daddy and Doodie. This is our first Christmas in several different houses and families. this is just to name a few..
