in case no other yank has yet shown up to make frantic wtf gestures at you, we most emphatically do NOT have to put our hotel key cards???? on (in??) the light switches??????? i am both flabbergasted and appalled that this is a thing anywhere. why in god's name would you have to do this.

this is SO bizarre to me because literally every hotel I've ever stayed in (admittedly I've only ever stayed in the UK and uh France) has had one of these badboys:

typically a little nicer looking but it'll be a little wall mounted card slot like this. there is no electricity in the room until you put the card in, and if you take it out it turns all the electricity off. last time I stayed in a hotel we only had one keycard so I had to take it with me whilst I went down to the lobby so I could get back in and my partner just kind of chilled in the dark with no TV for a bit whilst I waited for the driver 💀

I've never googled it but I'd hazard a guess it's an energy saving measure - if no guests can leave anything on and running during the day/whilst out, then it's probably going to lower their electricity consumption (and therefore bills) by a good chunk. I ran the calcs quick and 80 rooms with two average UK lightbulbs left on whilst people are out of the room for 6 hours (conservative on all fronts I probably think) would use about 21,024KWh a year - 7 x the average UK households annual usage and 2 x the average US households (you lot... uh.... you use a lot of electricity I think it's probably the AC). That's about £5000 a year (and likely increasing year on year) savings on electricity bills - and keep in mind that is most definitely a lowball lol.

but yeah it's kind of a pain in the ass lemme just slap the card in my wallet so I can't misplace it 💀

Her and her MAGA family completely abandoned their trans sibling/child over literally nothing. Also SARAH and her girlfriend Suzeen disparaged my partner online by calling them a liar when HEARTSIB OR NORTHSTARFAN had NEVER spoken to them. She is transphobic and they’re both narcissists.

the world is falling apart for trans people. I watch my partner weep every fucking day because their family has betrayed and abandoned them because they refuse to take accountability or even just apologize one time for ANYTHING they’ve done. They won’t speak about it and Sarah must love the attention it nets her and her girlfriend.

and these people still go around, acting like they’re on some fucking moral high ground compared to everybody else when they literally do nothing but perpetuate transphobia and fetishize us among their family and their peers. They silently force trans folx to kill themselves so that they can keep getting exactly what they want while avoiding accountability. My partner and I have attempted su**ide multiple times in the years that we have both missed our families and neither of them care and they all know about it. After we lost everything we were lured to Portland. We were taken advantage of here and we were discarded like garbage.

I’m tired of it. End the transphobia and using trans bodies as fetishism. Stop hiding and take accountability for what you are doing. Stop being selfish and fix yourselves because YOU TWO are very much a huge part of the problem with enabling this shit and you two need to own up to it.

I’d love to hear from either of you but for years neither of you have had the spine to say a word to us and I doubt you’ll start now. I figure if the world is gonna go to shit. I’m gonna let everybody know exactly how I feel before it’s too late. I think Suzeen is a coward and I think Sarah is a narcissistic selfish person who will never learn empathy and will always claim to be a perpetual victim in every situation.

It was because my alcoholic mother beat the shit out of me and called me a fat queer Cunt because I was dating Sarah’s sibling. I had nowhere to go, so I moved in with the reformed Presbyterian family and had to live in the closet under Sarah‘s fucking rule while she constantly threatened to out me and my partner to her parents and I had nowhere to go in Florida, where my abusive parents dragged me previously. Since I had no friends or family in Florida aside from the ones that beat the fuck out of me I had to drop out of Indian River State College and moved to Philadelphia with Sarah‘s family still living in the closet until about 2015 when I finally got a job where I could make enough money and support me and my partner .

We moved to Michigan and my partner was finally able to come out to their family. I learned that my extremely abusive father wasn’t going to ever change and he lied to my partner and I about giving us a safe home to stay in and instead gave it to his girlfriend who burned it down. My aunt stole my car and put 5000 miles on it. The therapist that I had told me I needed to call the police so Sarah’s parents graciously told my partner and I we could stay with them to get back on our feet one last time and we were never allowed to ask for help again.

We took the offer and moved back to Philly, then in with Sarah, who was a nightmare to live with, and who treated us like dirt. She took pictures of me without asking and sent them to Suzeen while we were sitting in the living room and talking, and she would whisper about us to her parents while we were within earshot. We would go into rooms and then she would go into the next room and move rooms to be close to the rooms that we were in and then inject herself into our conversations.

We left again and Sarah demanded $300 from me because her cat Louie shit and pissed all over the floor and she wouldn’t clean it up and so she blamed me for it because I’m the fat trans one I guess. The upstairs carpet was ruined because he shit and pissed all over our clothes up there and downstairs in the sunroom. I had already gotten on the floor and scrub the sunroom carpet before, and he just started shitting and pissing immediately after so I gave up she expected us to clean up after her cat who ruined our clothes Because we also had two cats. She had three so it’s five cats and one fucking house.

I just paid it because I didn’t want to ruin another family dynamic. My own had been destroyed. My partner has been able to get on their feet and we’re living in Portland now as far away from these people as we possibly can be and yet every single day we are reminded of the injustice is that happen to us by seeing trans people labeled as dishonest and liars every single day when they’re telling the truth about shit that they’ve been through and then they’re ignored by the people that they’re trying to get justice from.

So I’ve had to learn a few things and if you really wanna throw hands, I encourage you to come and find me. I would love to speak to all of you at once if I could. I don’t like these bully circles You guys have on the Internet, where you do this shit and then you pretend like you have no idea.

To be fair, my shoulders are not the only ones carrying the weight of the Elnor fandom 😊 I can't leave out the awesome @iwritesometimes , @northstarfan , @electricpentacle , @occasionalinanity , and @vegawriters , and tbh I probably left one or more people out! Many of these are more Hugh of Borg and Hughnor leaning, but they are still big fans of Elnor and share many wonderful things. North, for sure, is the reason for so much commissioned Elnor fanart that is out there, and Sarah has done a lot of fic work as well, as has North. Trans Artists Beware

there are a couple of people who truly hurt me and my spouse. One of these people is my former (ex communicated from my trans partner and I due to abuse) sister in law (iwritesometimes) who is constantly online begging for trans porn as a cis woman, which makes me really uncomfortable. The other is her cis girlfriend who called my trans spouse a pathological liar despite never speaking to or meeting my spouse. She just made a random public post on Twitter one day a few years back talking about my trans partner being a liar because iwritesometimes was called a "know-it-all" during a private family dinner for being extremely condescending about how Gruyere needed to be pronounced more Frenchly). So when my spouse was upset about being publicly humiliated by a stranger (@northstarfan / heartsib) - this of course led to distancing and disconnecting from their family and these people, fortunately. Likely forever and as a transgender person this has been EXTREMELY difficult as the rest of their family clings to iwritesometimes and has effectively forgotten my spouse exists. Something iwritesometimes likely relishes in, now. I hate that they both have transgender support related keywords on their profiles because they knowingly hurt trans people and don't care.

Unfortunately, I've noticed a disturbing pattern in the behaviors of these people. See, i grew up in an incredibly abusive home. I have chronic PTSD and I suffer from BPD, ADHD, autism... so I can't really recognize all the time when I'm reacting fairly to something.

However, my partner has been completely abandoned by their family - and we're pretty thankful for that. But I wanted to mention these people because I've noticed some very disturbing patterns from them and I wanna set some shit straight.

If you are an artist, especially trans, please do not placate their desires to fetishize trans bodies for their own amusement and exploitative purposes.

If you're an artist, do NOT allow either of them for convince you to draw underaged characters. This is sexual harassment FROM them for being disrespectful about it but Ive noticed they're very passionate about these things.

Frankly, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. And while Northstarfan dragged my partner online, doing what cis people like to do and just call a trans person untrustworthy or a liar, I only now say anything about Northstarfan's character that I've observed after the past few years of feeling intense fury.

I don't know how you both sleep at night, I already asked iwritesometimes but she blocked me like the coward she is, too. But I have no intention of hearing any apologies once we're all that's left of any family that isn't hyper conservative. You showed your narcissistic hind ends one too many times. Then again you both like to publicly talk trash about your siblings and families and then you probably talk about each other, too.

I forgive you because frankly I don't care about either one of you losers. My partner forgot about both of you long ago. I only didn't because I have been secretly angry this entire time because right after you attacked my partner I saw you both frothing at the mouth over trans porn and it made me sick. I know @Iwritesometimes blocked me after I sent her the one message because she won't admit what she did but I'll gladly just post this and leave it up for an eternity. Thanks.

Fuck both of you. The suicide attempt rate for trans people is 41% and you're both so selfish you'd rather just beg and beg and beg and beg people to draw porn of our bodies for your pleasure and you do nothing else to support anyone but yourselves. Get offline and touch a blade of grass.
