Since it never got brought back up again and should have, but the coliseum Tanya has the students build. After Jaden wins he claims it as property of the Slifer Red Dorm since it is now his by right of conquest.

I love this.

One question does Jaden lose it any time he loses? Like when he lost to aster in season 2 does he lose it until he wins it back?

We will think about that later. For now.

Jaden and friends absolutely would schedule their own mini tournaments in there. These kids sneak out every other day and are all obsessed with dueling. And the school tries to make them fill out formal ‘please duel me’ request forms (like I get it. You don’t want kids challenging each other night and day but also you are here to play card games)

No they are having non school sanctioned fight nights.

Crowler kind hates it because it’s slicer red property the moment it is obelisk blue property he’s on board (it will not be obelisk property till Jaden and crew graduate. After the season 2 fiasco with the down situation they all try to keep it in house. I’m not saying Jaden wins every tournament. I’m saying someone from their little crew does and keeps it Slifer red territory)

Their 1st year it’s all out war. Anyone can join in.

Season 2 after the cult has been defeated and they can have fun again they get a little more creative with theme nights (mainly to stop Jaden and Chazz from dominating everyone)

1st year night (they all root for Hasselberry as he dukes it out with his class mates)

2nd year night (Jaden Chazz Alexis and Bastion are having it out)

3rd year night

Some times is just specific dorms (again giving other kids the chance to duel)

Sometimes is specific card types. (Fusion decks only. Beast monster only. Things like that challenging people to create new decks and try out new strategies)

They have a whole list by the end of the year. These started out as under ground matches, they didn’t want the staff to know and shut them down. Crowler knows but he can’t get all the students in trouble he just wants to get some of them. But then they start doing theme nights. And, well, they are challenging the students to push themselves in new ways….

The teachers start showing up and ducking it out with the kids. It’s not every time but it’s enough to keep it fun.

There’s also the added an appeal that if you can beat the current holder you now own the colosseum.

Jaden actually is really good at running the colosseum. They have a colosseum night once a week. He and his friends come up with the themes and spread the word. It’s all in good fun and he grew up watching his family organize tournaments, he kind knows what he needs to do.

The colosseum gets passed around the friend group and who ever currently owns it gets to pick the theme night for that week.

But the time year two is over they have a ton of plans for their 3rd year. They text and plan all summer.

It’s one of the first things Jaden tells Jesse about. Jim as well once they start hanging out. They’re pumped to join in.

But the bio bands, and kids passing out, and viper, and the monster world, and the dark world. So much happens

When Jaden comes back he’s different. He’s not organizing fun duels anymore and no one else feel right doing it as it is his colosseum (most of the time) the transfer kids leave shortly after they all get back, they never got to participate in a tournament in the colosseum.

Season 4 Alexis tries to get Jaden back into running the tournaments and having fun but he’s going through it and handling darkness and doesn’t have the time. There is no colosseum matches their 3rd year.

And that should be the end

But people heal and maybe sometime during the next school year, Jaden and friends go back to visit Hassleberry (maybe he’s playing the school duel and they are supporting him) after everything is done and they are celebrating Jaden leads them down a familiar path. It’s Colosseum time.

It’s all out war. They make a lottery bracket and go back to back one match at a time (they could do multiple at a time but this is about having fun and enjoying each others company. They want to watch their friends duel)

It’s the first colosseum match for Blair, Jesse, Axel, and Jim. They had all wanted to do one last year but…. They have a blast.

In the. End Jaden pulls Hasselberry aside and tell him the colosseum is now his, wether he win it or not the crew all decided to give it to Hasselberry officially. He’s pumped, they giving him all the plans they had for last year and Jaden shows him the admin things (how to contact the students ‘without staff knowing’ crowler is pretending not to listen (he half wanted to win the colosseum with the intention to make the colosseum nights school sanctioned but then they wouldn’t be as fun)

Hasselberry runs the ring for the rest of his senior year and hands it off to Blair when he graduates leading to it not being won by combat but handed down from 3rd year to second year at the end of the school year.

Who They’re Kissing On New Year’s

Jaden/Judai: Jesse. As friends. (Right?)

Syrus/Sho: his pillow. or the wall. literally not looking at Jaden OR Alexis.

Chazz/Manjoume: he goes for Alexis but Ojama yellow pops up at the last second and he spends the next hour in the bathroom shoving soap into his mouth

Bastion/Daichi: I will allow the token straight man. Tanya.

Alexis/Asuka: No one. she ducks out of the way of Chazz and immediately slams into her brother, knocking him off balance. results of that are in Zane’s section.

Zane/Ryo: gives Sy a head kiss and gets sent to the floor by Atticus

Atticus/Fubuki: Tried for Zane, but body-slammed him after Alexis knocked him over.

Blair/Rei: Jokingly goes for Chazz (running for the bathroom), then Zane (on the floor after Atticus full body decked him), then Jaden (Jesse���s tongue is down his throat)

Crowler/Cronos: a mirror

Aster/Edo: Jaden’s Neos card. Right on the ass.

Hasselberry/Kenzan: too busy shoving dino nuggies into his mouth

Adrian/Amon: attempts it on Yubel and is found strung up in a tree the next morning

Axel/O’Brien: gives Jim a friendly kiss on the cheek

Jim: turns at the last second and is now apologizing to Axel profusely (they’re cool)

Jesse/Johan: Jaden. Not as friends. They’re gonna have a conversation about this later.

The more I think about Jim, the more I love him. I love his Australian Accent. I love his design. I love how he casually carries 100 kilos on his back on the daily with no trouble. I love how he was ready to save his friend from the Supreme King and how he was ready to throw his life away to save him. I love his deck. I love how the sub goes, "YAY!" in Engrish. I love how much of a great friend he is to everyone. How respectful he is. How ready he is to beat the shit out of anyone to save his buddies.

a different flavor of my usual shitposts, this tier lists I found on Pinterest were far too good to resist

most of these characters I did based off how relevant they are in the plot + most of these characters are my favorites (yes, im a dr crowler fan)

When it's time to go to the Dark World to rescue Jesse, do any of the DM crew join the GX kids or no?

This is my Great War. Every day I think about this idea.

Because there are three options here.

1) They stay behind

The portal closes before they can get there. And they are forced to wait.

Now as I wrote here Seto does still have the dimension pod that he used to go to the afterlife and duel Atem. However they were using them to try and track down Jesse. If they get left behind they won’t stay there for long. But I don’t know if they would try and lock on to Jaden or Jesse.

If they decide to go after Jesse they are going to run into possessed Jesse. Leading to a duel with Yubel. I don’t think Yubel would win but I also don’t think they’d lose. I think they’d find a way to end the duel in a draw through outside forces. And then send anything they could to keep the DM crew occupied.

Or

They track Jaden which has the same outcome as option two

2) They get there just as the portal opens and get sucked in

Now much like Zane, Aster, and Crowler they end up some place different then the Gx kids.

They don’t catch up to Jaden until he’s already the Supreme King. And oh we have so many options from here

This is Jaden at arguably his most powerful. He has super poly and is not holding back. He doesn’t care about anyone or anything right now and that makes him dangerous.

Add into this that the DM crew as are looking at their son/nephew who they raised as a little family unit. He’s lost to them right now and they are trying everything to snap him out of it.

How many DM characters do you think the Supreme King can beat?

Note they might be ‘going all out’ but they would never risk killing Jaden. Joey is definitely dueling the same way he did against Mai in the Oricalcos arc. Focused more on snapping Jaden out of it than wining. But as we know from Axel winning is the only way to defeat the Supreme King.

Yugi is absolutely trying to make the appeal to his son. “This isn’t you. I love you. Come back to me.” We could make this so heart wrenching.

Note they would probably met up with Axel right after Jim was lost. Axel tells them the horrible truth. This is because I still want to give the final duel against the Supreme King to Axel as it is a great moment for his character.

Plus after it’s all over Jaden has to live with not only ‘killing’ his friends (again not your fault) but also hurting and maybe killing some of his family.

3) They join the Gx crew for the whole journey.

Jaden still tries to rush ahead but the DM crew are not only experienced Jaden wranglers but also experience desperate protagonist wranglers. It’s your time to shine Aunt Téa and Dad Yugi.

They are able to keep a better eye on the kids so they don’t get captured. Meaning there has to be another way to sacrifice people.

We have some options

A) the Gx crew still gets put under the spell

they start talking crap about Jaden which greatly disturbs the DM crew for a lot of reasons.

Then they reach Brron the man traps separates the two groups all the Gx crew into duels (like a five on 1 tag duel?) but they all lose except Jaden because of their sadness/rage.

Leaving Jaden friendless and feeling like he couldn’t protect them. 

Jaden feels like a failure and maybe he gets tricked into thinking his family is dead and that’s what makes him fall.

B) it’s the DM crew Brron targets for his spell. They don’t have the negative feelings towards Jaden but each other.

Hear me out.

The whole situation has been stressful and a lot of them (Joey and Tristian) are upset with Seto’s school that keeps putting Jaden and friends in danger.

Téa and Yugi as super sad about Jaden’s lose of normalcy and also the way some of his friends behave.

Seto’s pride is as large as ever.

It’s not that they don’t love each other, they do but it’s stress and the situation and complex feelings. They’re not blaming each other but the situation and the spell brings out those negative emotions.

This ends with them getting sacrificed

Jaden has to watch as he loses his family and he loses it.

This also allows the Gx crew to be more active in the plot and maybe have some bonding with the remaining DM crew as only four are sacrificed.

Again this is my Great War. I have no idea which idea to go with.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX Characters ranked on how likely I would be to beat them in a physical fight

K some ground rules: Fisticuffs only and my personal feelings about the character do not matter.

Blair Flanagan— listen most people would not kick a child but I would. I would be able to punt Blair into the fucking sun. what’s she gonna do? she’s tiny and she literally fights with love. kill em with kindness? wrong, that second grader is about to feel my wrath.

Zane Truesdale— I may be disabled but God hasn’t slapped my ass into a wheelchair yet. I’d knock him out of his chair and beat him over the head with it. i am allowed to do so because I am disabled. I will be taking no criticism at this time. on the other hand I think wheelchair jousting would be fucking hilarious (and I’d still beat Zane at it) but this is fisticuffs only. one good hit to the face and he’s down. maybe i get lucky and punch him hard enough in the chest that I straight up kill him.

Alexis Rhodes— I definitely could beat her in a fight. She probably bites but I bite harder. I’ve been wearing my retainer like a good kid and my teeth are straight and poised and ready to attack.

Dr. Crowler— We’ve seen Crowler in a skintight wetsuit multiple times and there is no muscle there. I will full nelson him into giving me an A. Also he has a major disadvantage that is Long Hair. yankin time.

Syrus Truesdale— I know I said I could beat up Blair because she’s tiny but Syrus could hold his own against me. He is a feral little fuck and contains a lot of repressed childhood anger that he would def let out in a physical fight. I’d still win, but barely.

Atticus Rhodes— canonically ripped but less ripped than everyone else on this list. one good kick to the nuts and it’d be over. he’s very sensitive. you wanna fight fair, atty? too bad it’s testicular torsion time

Chazz Princeton— not ripped but have you seen him beat the shit outta Ojama Yellow? He’d kick the stuffing out of me. also definitely tapping into his trauma. anyway he’d win because he’s a feral sewer rat that thrives off of yellow’s screams for mercy.

Jaden Yuki— this is where it got tough. Jaden is canonically a buff guy (pushed car up hill) but he’s also guilt ridden from literally killing his friends once. I still think he’d win because there is no way I am getting that slippery autistic lizard motherfucker in any kind of hold.

Adrian Gecko— okay now we’re getting into the real problems. everyone from here on out has canonical bulging ass muscles that I physically could not hold up against. sorry what was I saying? oh right adrian. he’d win. fuck you adrian. moving on.

Jesse Anderson— I’d have a maybe 10% chance of winning if I got close enough to purple nurple his ass. I’d try a nut kick but Jesse is way smarter than atticus and would show up wearing a cup. also buff as hell.

Jim Cook— I’d only have a chance because this is fisticuffs only and Shirley is not allowed in the fight. also Jim has a six-pack. he is 100% muscle and would whoop my ass with zero goddamn mercy.

Axel Brodie— can canonically hang upside down and still think clearly. I am not getting that man to pass out in any kind of chokehold. he would simple gaston-style flex and send me flying.

Tyranno Hassleberry— he got dino dna. I’d quit before we started.
