Lydia
This is Lydia, Jodi and Jamie's mother. She's a frigid beauty. The one person who could bring out her warmer side was her husband Patrick. After his death, well. Things got chilly in the Thompson household.
Lydia writes mystery novels, but can't support her family from those proceeds alone. So, she moves from low paying job to low paying job. Occasionally finding escape in a new relationship. But nothing ever brings her the happiness she had with Patrick.
Her children find Lydia hard to deal with. After all, they lost their father, too. Lydia holds Jamie to unreasonably high standards, but she often seems to pretend Jodi doesn't exist.

Today I was reminded that the ole Sega Fighting Game series Eternal Champions somehow managed to have two Choose Your Own Adventure Books written in it's universe.
Not sure why the second book shared the same name as one of the Fighting Fantasy novels, but I remember them being fun back in The Day™.

Pronouns: He/him
Residence: Kansas City, Missouri
Hometown: Lawrence, Kansas
Primary occupation: English professor
Secondary occupation: Author of historical nonfiction
Personality traits: Loyal, playful, unreliable, selfish

Jamie is a recently divorced English professor. He cut ties with his wife, Lily, after he found out she was cheating on him—though he couldn't exactly blame her. He's just now getting over a phase where he was a bit of a deadbeat and definitely selfish. He uses humor and even playful flirtation to deflect from his fears of being a failure and a bad dad. Though, since Avery attends the school he teaches at, he's been doing a better job at getting closer to her. Soon, she might even admit she loves him. He is a sports buff and has been known to coach little league in the community.

Jodi's the only one who's ever noticed - or at least the only one to care about - when Jeremy turns up to school with bruises. The rest of the students just think he's a loner, a troublemaker who gets in street fights. But Jodi knows the truth. Because she's been watching him since they were children.
Jodi has never been physically harmed. But she's been bullied all her life. And she knows what it's like to hold pain inside. The pain of loneliness, loss, and anxiety. Jamie often worries about his sensitive sister. What might happen if she got too lost in her pain, and he wasn't there to stop her.

Was listening to Gorillaz when drafting this so I decided to give Scary Godmother a guitar and make it look like she was a new guest band member like how they did with Ace a few phases back
