Thora Janette Scott (born 14 December 1938) is an English actress. She became a popular lead character, one of her best-known roles as April Smith in the film School for Scoundrels (1960), also in "The Day of the Trifids (1962).

Scott's highest profile as the leading protagonist in British films was from the late 1950s to mid-1960s, and she had more than a dozen leading roles during that period. She was the female protagonist opposite some of the top stars of the era, including Terry-Thomas , Ian Carmichael , Ronald Lewis , Ian Hendry and George Chakiris. Janette proved to be proficient in a wide variety of genres, including comedy, romantic drama, science fiction thriller, and period adventures.

She is best known by the American audience for her role of the priest's wife in the film The Devil's Disciple (1959), starring Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and Laurence Olivier.
