#jasco soulmate au

I wish you'd write a fic where everyone has a timer on their body counting down to something. Where different colors mean a countdown to a wide variety of things. Jasmine's counter is to her death, which is soon imminent. She dreams of having a whirlwind romance before it hits 0.
Okay babes let me take a swing at this! When I read it, I immediately thought of one of those classic soulmate aus, kind of like "They Both Die at the End." So this will be part of a "jasco soulmate au" if we feel like we want more of this.
____
Jasmine didn't understand what she was looking at.
Bosco, her best friend and roommate, would jab that "not understanding" was normal for the blonde who had far too many blonde moments to count.
But for a her timer, those numbers on her wrist, bloody red and mocking, to drop from 68 years 21 days 8 hours 32 minutes and 4 seconds immediately down to 30 days 1 hour and 48 minutes? There was little she could fathom about losing so much time.
There was much she was mourning now that she'd gone through the phases of loss. Now that she scrubbed at the timer furiously. Gone to The Time Keeper, sure that there was simply a glitch, only to find that the timers never glitched. Come home sobbing and fell into Bosco's arms, muttering through heavy tears that this might be the last time she was going to be held, going to have her favorite pizza from the shop downstairs, going to ride the train, going to have pigeons shit on her patio furniture.
She mainly mourned the fact that she'd never find love before she died.
Jasmine dreamed about being swept off her feet by a dashing and gorgeous woman. Someone who'd listen intently as she prattled on about her newest video game obsession or how she'd learned to cut vegetables so smoothly or how she wanted to get another tattoo but wasn't sure which. And she wanted to be proposed to. And get married. And have a house with a back yard, where her cats could roam around while her and her wife watched, settled on the porch, drinking iced tea, all of them catching the light.
As her eyes settled on those ticking numbers, all of those dreams washed away.
"It's stupid," Jasmine said that night, wrapped in Bosco's arms. They'd insisted in sleeping right beside her after she told them the news, when they'd finally found the words between their own tears.
"Hmm?" Bosco fitted Jasmine's head against their chest. "What is it, baby?"
"Nothing." Jasmine tried, but it wasn't right. No use lying, given all her words lived close to the grave now. She tried again. "I just never got married is all. No one's ever—"
She tasted salt, the streaming tears interrupting her words. She let the interrupting drag on, let Bosco's thumb drag across her cheek.
"No one's ever loved me."
It fell like bricks, making her feel weighted and heavy. All this crying should lighten her up, Jasmine thought, but it seemed to only do the opposite.
She found her face pressed right into Bosco's chest, their hand raking through her hair as they shushed her, tried to calm her with, "You know that's not true," and "You've still got some time."
Jasmine shook her head. "No I don't. Not enough..."
Bosco doesn't know what to say next, so they just hold Jasmine close. There's no use convincing her that there's enough time, especially when they don't think there's enough time with her either.
While there is time, they suppose, they had might as well love her as much as they've always wanted to, as much as Jasmine's always deserved.
And at the conception of that thought, Bosco's own timer had hit zero, leaving only a faint pink glow, nearly matching the pink of their own cheeks.

I'm bored at home today, so here's the full list of the plots for all of the s14 AU's that I have. Also I just wanted these in a post that's easier to find for the future.
-Magic AU (Jasco with Pillby in the background)
Jasmine is a witch from the magic realm, who's considered a 'late bloomer'. Her magic abilities are very limited, and she starts feeling like an outsider with the other witches and magical beings. She decides to move to the human realm to start a new chapter. Everything is going well for her; she lives with her other witch friend Kerri and Kerri's girlfriend, Willow, and she gets a job at a small coffee shop. Until she gets closer to the coffee shop's manager, Bosco, and her magic abilities wake up and quickly become uncontrolable.
-Soulmates AU (Jasya with Camgeria and platonic Willsco)
Soulmates all have a connection, and they can feel pain in their soulmates. There are three levels of connection(which each become less common up the scale); 1-Physical pain, 2-Emotional Pain, and 3-Telepathy. Jasmine and Daya (and their friends) know their soulmates, but they refuse to acknowledge it since they absolutely despise each other, and often annoy each other with small injuries/ailments.
-Magical Girl AU (Camine with Willgeria and Dayasco background)
Camden has been fighting witches and protecting their city as a magical girl for over 10 years. She lost her long term partner to a witch recently, and can’t seem to get along with any other potential partner. Enter Jasmine, who’s brand new to being a magical girl, and barely passed her training and can’t seem to find a partner that's able to work well with her.
- Vampire AU (Jasyasco with Camgeria and Rosnali background)
Bosco and Daya were in a happy and healthy relationship with their girlfriend, Jasmine. But one evening, Jasmine suddenly doesn't return home for several days, and her dead body is found in a local river. The couple spends months grieving their loss and starts to feel ready to move on. Until Jasmine comes back, appearing to be alive and well, with no memory of her disappearance or the last several months. But Jasmine constantly feels cold to the touch, sensitive to the sunlight, and starts getting an insatiable craving for blood.
- Love Letter AU (Jasya, also potentially part of the wedding planner AU, if we get that far in the future
Daya and Jasmine absolutely hate each other, and everyone and their mother believes this, except for Jasmine. Jasmine has had a growing crush on Daya, but obviously can't admit her feelings. So she keeps up arguing and bickering with Daya and writes letters to express her feelings in some way, all addressed to Daya. She never intends to send the letters, she just writes the letters and keeps them hidden like a diary collection. While Jasmine goes out of town for a couple weeks, Daya accidentally finds some of the letters that Jasmine forgot to hide with the others.
Literally, nobody asked for this, but dash is dead today, so here's this au list.

Send me prompts 🌹
——
Jasmine watched Bosco intently, the blonde ringlets falling over her face as she bent over her sketchbook. The sun had begun to move over the horizon, casting them and everything around them in a golden haze. With gentle fingertips, Jasmine traced her name on Bosco’s wrist, their soulmate mark, Bosco chuckling softly but still focusing on her drawing, one that looked remarkably like Jasmine while asleep, the girl in the drawing with the same gentle slope of Jasmine’s nose and the same shaped lips, parted gently in sleep. Jasmine vaguely remembered Bosco explaining to her that she only drew things she found exceptionally beautiful.
She gently leaned into Bosco, resting her head in the crook of their neck, careful not to disturb their drawing. “I’m so lucky to have you,” she whispered quietly into their ear.
Bosco set their sketchbook down on the blanket they sat on, turning to Jasmine with a blush high on their cheeks. “What was that, baby?”
“I said I’m so lucky to have you,” Jasmine giggled, “how did you not hear that?”
“I just wanted to hear you say it again,” Bosco replied with a shrug, a soft look on their face.
Jasmine turned so they were nose to nose. “I’ll say it over and over again.”
“One more time.”
“I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have you as my soulmate.”
Bosco leaned forward and kissed her gently, a loving hand caressing her cheek. “That’s not possible, because I’m the luckiest.”

Temp masterpost
Updated: 12/5/2022
A list of AUs I'm currently entertaining on my blog + ships I'm the most into at the moment. Feel free to send in asks about any of them, I'd love to chat. Or if you want a specific prompt for a pairing, if it strikes my fancy I might just write it.
Amnesia AU - Jasya
After Jasmine gets hurt in a motorcycle accident, she loses her memories of the past two years, including her rivalry with Daya. Daya, feeling guilty for causing the accident, and wanting repentance, takes Jasmine in while she recovers physically.
Gay's Anatomy AU - Goodesport
Jan Sport is the upcoming starlet in the hit TV medical drama, Gay's Anatomy, as Jackie Cox retires from the small screen to pursue greener pastures. Gigi Goode, an actress who has been on the show since the start, thinks very little of the young upstart. Forced to make nice by production, the two grow closer as filming continues on.
Prank Wars AU - Jasya (possibly Jasyasco)
College aged AU, where the gang(tm) has been engaging in a prank war going into its third year. Daya manages to convince Jasmine that them "dating" would serve as a perfect prank, but as it goes on, it stops feeling as fake as the two claim it to be.
Bosco, being the most critical in the friend group of how real this relationship is, actively attempts to prove it false by putting on moves on Jasmine.
Soulmate AU - Multiship (Goodesport, Bratpack, Jasyasco)
In a world where soulmates are real, everyone is born with a soulmate tattoo. Its shape can be anything, fill any part of your body but it's faded until you meet your soulmate. As the bond progresses, the colours change with it.
Gigi was born unlucky by many peoples standard, having a good part of her body covered in her marks. And well, she manages to piss off her soulmate when they first meet - turning everything purple.
Forbidden Woods AU - Camine
Camden goes into the woods, well knowing it's forbidden and it can get her expelled from the meadow. There she meets Jasmine, a forest fairy who was for unknown reasons trapped in a tree. The two embark on a journey to find the way out.
Ships that have my attention
Gigi/Jan - Goodesport
Jasmine/Daya - Jasya
Jasmine/Bosco - Jasco
Camden/Jasmine - Camine
Jasmine/Daya/Bosco - Jasyasco
Daya/Bosco - Dayasco
Bratpack
Lemon/Priyanka - Lemyanka
Anything involving Juriji
S12 + S14 in general

I'd honestly love more of the death timer angst... like will Jasmine get her love story? Will said love story crush Bosco when it's all said and done?
If anyone requests a prompt, I'll throw it into the pile!
Jasmine will get her love story, to the extent that she's intended to. Bosco sets out to make Jasmine feel loved, as loved as they can in the next thirty days. They travel. They make love. They live as much romance as they can in that time. And at first Jasmine bides her disappointment, thinking that this isn't the love story she wants because it's unequivocally coming to an end. But as they're watching the sun trail down and the numbers on Jasmine's timer traipse away, Jasmine's sure she's had the romance she's always wanted, exactly as it was intended.
And when Jasmine's gone, Bosco's left distressed. That faint pink glow on their timer is gone, never to be seen again.

I'm a big softie for soulmates but also angst
Gia and Synthia have been dating a while. They're not eachothers soulmate. Gia doesn't even have one. And then they meet Kendall, who is Synthia's soulmate.
Going with the theme of my lil jasco soulmate au, 18th birthday your soulmate’s name appears on your body somewhere blah blah blah but Gia and Synthia have been inseparable since grade school and are so in love they’re absolutely sure they’re both gonna wake up on their 18th to each other’s names on them. Synthia turns 18 first and wakes up to Kendall’s name on her and Gia is crushed. They actually don’t speak to Synthia until their 18th when they wake up with absolutely nothing on them at all 🥺

Jasco - Serendipity
Jasmine's noticed Bosco seemingly everywhere. The same dark hair clipped back as they inspected tomatoes at the community garden. The same booming cackle from across the train platform, talking on the phone. The same clicking heels as they make their way across the cafe to grab a couple packets of sugar. And each time, Jasmine's intrigued. She's alway's caught staring, sure that she's seen this person before, that she knows them from somewhere.
And she has. She just can't remember.
Every night, Jasmine goes to sleep, and when she wakes up, it's like she's encountering Bosco for the first time again, with only the faintest echo of what she'd learned these previous days, weeks, months, ringing in her ears.
Until one day she's determined to talk to Bosco, determined not to forget.

Pls pls pls continue the soulmate au. 🥺
Ok here’s a wee lil continuation 🥰😁
——
The entire morning as Jasmine got ready for school, she had a pit in her stomach. There had to be a mistake, it wasn’t possible that Bosco could be her soulmate. Bosco hated her and she had since the 6th grade, for a reason Jasmine never knew, how could they be soulmates?
She sulked all the way to the bus stop where she met Willow, the other girl smiling stupidly at her phone as per usual. For a moment, Jasmine felt a wave of resentment wash over her. Angeria might be halfway across the country, but she could tell that whatever her and Willow had was genuine.
Finally, Willow looked up and noticed her, her face breaking into a wide smile.
“Jas! Happy birthday, bitch! What’s their name? Tell me all about it,” she squealed.
Jasmine sighed, unsure of how to tell Willow.
“Did you not get one? It’s rare but sometimes people don’t get theirs until later.”
Shaking her head, Jasmine looked at her ankle, the name covered by her old high tops. She bent down and pulled her shoe away from the name, holding her breath as Willow bent down to read it.
“Holy fuck,” Willow muttered, standing up to look Jasmine in the eye. “It could be a different Bosco?”
“How many other people in the world could be named Bosco?” Jasmine whispered, afraid the other people trickling in to wait for the bus would hear.
“I have no idea. She’s weird as fuck but maybe she’s nice? Or at least really good in bed?”
“Yeah, maybe.”
Jasmine kept to herself the fact that before she was in with the popular crowd, Bosco was her best friend. They did everything together and Jasmine cherished her more than anything until Bosco just…stopped talking to her, ignored her in the hallways and sent glares her way everytime they made eye contact.
Willow went back to her text conversation and Jasmine waited quietly for the bus, thinking about anything but the dark artsy girl she used to be friends with that was apparently her soulmate.
In every class that morning, Jasmine could barely focus. As much as she tried, she couldn’t think about anything except Bosco. She hasn’t spoken to her since middle school and now they’re all seniors, so it had been some time, but she didn’t understand how fate could fuck up badly enough to give her a soulmate that hated her.
During lunch later in the afternoon , Jasmine sat down with her tray; Willow, Deja, and Cam already gossiping away, as they typically did. Jasmine kept to herself, seemingly withdrawn from the rest of the group, when usually it was her who kept the conversation going and going.
“What’s gotten into you?” Cam asked, her eyes narrowed.
“She found out who her soulmate is,” Willow snickered, a teasing lilt to her voice.
Jasmine elbowed her side and rolled her eyes. “Let’s not talk about it.”
Jasmine was glad to hang the conversation up, glad to get her mind off of it a little as the rest of the girls discussed weekend plans. Jasmine was just about to chime in and when she noticed Bosco across the cafeteria. She sat alone, headphones on over her unruly hair.
Eyes finally landing on the person who’s name was now permanently inked to her ankle, a bout of realization hit her. Bosco would’ve turned 18 months prior to her. Without thinking, she stood up from the table and made her way to the dark haired girl who sat alone across the cafeteria.
“Let me see it,” Jasmine demanded, arms crossed over her chest.
A flash of realization flashed in Bosco’s eyes. “I don’t know what you mean.”
Jasmine scanned Bosco’s bare arms and just over a stack of bracelets she noticed a “Jas” in all too familiar penmanship. Bosco noticed and quickly covered it with her hand.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
Bosco leaned in close, dropping her voice to just above a whisper. “Just because our names are on each other, doesn’t mean shit. There are lots of people in the world and I don’t plan on spending my life with someone like you just because fate says I should.”
Jasmine stepped back a bit. She didn’t know what Bosco meant by “someone like her”. She didn’t understand what made their relationship go sour so quickly and what could’ve made Bosco still hate her after all those years.
“Sounds good to me,” Jasmine retorted, turning on her heel and stomping back to her table.
“Girl, what the fuck?” Willow whisper-yelled, yanking Jasmine back down by her arm. “What did you say to her?”
Jasmine shrugged. “Not much. I think we both agreed that this ‘soulmate’ shit is stupid. There’s plenty of people out there who never find their soulmates that would probably be just as good a match for me.”
Willow shrugged and went back to her conversation with Deja, leaving Jasmine to her thoughts. Her chest felt heavy, mourning the loss of spending her life with the soulmate that fate had designed for her and re-mourning the loss of a best friend.

Here’s a little soulmate au drabble with no context I’m just bored and sad. If anyone’s interested maybe I’ll continue it <3 for context, on your 18th birthday your soulmate’s name appears somewhere on your body in their handwriting.
——
“What do you think they’re gonna be like?” Jasmine wondered aloud, head in her best friend Willow’s lap, the other busy texting her own soulmate, Angeria.
Willow looked up from her phone, a wistful smile on her face. “What’d you say?”
Rolling her eyes, Jasmine sat up. “My soulmate! My 18th is in a week, what do you think they’ll be like?”
Her 18th birthday was something Jasmine had been waiting for ever since she was little and her mom sat her on her knee and showed her Jasmine’s father’s name scrawled on her forearm. Jasmine and her father didn’t always see eye to eye, but the way he looked at her mother made Jasmine yearn for something like that, so ever since then she’d been counting down the days until her 18th. Being the youngest in her friend group, she watched all her friends learn who their soulmate was before her. The morning of Willow’s 18th she woke up with the name “Angeria’ scrawled on her hip in the fanciest writing they’d ever seen. Then a week later, Willow happened to come across someone named Angeria on twitter, a simple DM confirming that Angeria also had ‘Willow’ in loopy writing etched into her upper thigh for two years now. Since then, they’d been talking, falling in love through FaceTime calls and good morning and goodnight texts.
Jasmine tried not to be jealous, but she was so jealous of anyone else who at least knew the name of the person they’d be destined to spend their life with. She even listened with envy as Willow told her about her friend, Denali, someone Jasmine didn’t even know, woke up with her girlfriend’s name on her wrist, confirming that the love she already had was the right one.
“I don’t know,” Willow replied, sending off one last text before setting her phone down and turning her attention to Jasmine, “what do you think they’re gonna be like? If they’re anything like Angeria, they’re kind, beautiful, thoughtful, with a nice ass too.”
Jasmine fake gagged, rolling her eyes subsequently. “We’re talking about me,Willow! You already told me what your soulmate is like a million times now.”
“I know, I’m sorry, im just-“
“You’re in love, I know. I’m probably gonna be the same way.”
Willow giggled and pinched Jasmine’s cheek affectionately. “Aww my baby is growing up! Soon you’re gonna know who your very own soulmate is and you’re probably gonna leave me for them!”
“You’ll always be my bestie, Will, but I’m ready to know how it feels to finally know.”
——
A week later, Jasmine woke before her alarm, excitement replacing the drowsy sleepiness in her bones as she realized what day it was. With a nervous pit in her stomach, she jumped out of bed, nearly hopping across the room to stand in front of her full body mirror. Her eyes scanned her body slowly, wanting to take her time in finding the name that should be etched into her body somewhere, her chest, shoulders, and arms came back blank, all places she’d seen other people’s names show up. Slowly eyeing her way down her long legs, she finally noticed a black smudge looking mark across her left ankle that wasn’t there yesterday. Jasmine gasped with excitement, kneeling down with her eyes closed. She counted to 3 in her head, taking a deep breath before opening them.
There, on her ankle in nearly perfect handwriting was a name she hadn’t thought of in years.
Bosco.
The blood drained from her face and her stomach flipped. How could her soulmate be someone who she hadn’t spoken to in years? Someone who she was sure hated her guts?

my downfall as a fic writer is my distaste for things being in chronological order so here’s some random soulmate au childhood fluff bc why not. I think they’re like 10 in this if u were wondering
——
Jasmine peered over at Bosco, sat on the swings side by side in her backyard, bare toes brushing against the dewy grass. Bosco was looking intently down at her hands, the black nail polish Jasmine did for her a couple days prior already chipping.
“What are you thinking about?” Jasmine wondered aloud, the other so clearly lost in thought.
Bosco shrugged. “Soulmates.”
Jasmine could tell it wasn’t like when she thought of her future soulmate and blushed and giggled, Bosco seemed solemn and withdrawn.
“What about them?”
“Just that I don’t think they’re real,” they answered simply.
“Do you think people are lying about it? They tattoo the names themselves or something?”
Jasmine thought of her mother and father who both had each other’s names on them and to Jasmine, seemed to be the epitome of what being in love was. Then, she thought of her older sister who cried the morning of her 18th and a boy’s name was across her shoulder blade. She couldn’t imagine any of them lying.
Shaking her head, Bosco laughed. “No, Jas. I just think that because you’re soulmates with someone doesn’t mean anything. If it did, my parents wouldn’t be getting divorced.”
“Oh,” Jasmine replied, hanging her head, “I’m sorry about that.”
“It’s okay. I just think the whole thing is stupid, there’s no way there’s only one person out there for everyone.”
“I don’t know, I like the idea. To spend the rest of your life with one person.”
Bosco fake gagged. “Sounds awful if you ask me.”
“Well, what if we were soulmates?” Jasmine said, eyes trained on Bosco’s face for her reaction.
“Wouldn’t that be nice. Too bad it’s really unlikely.”
Jasmine rolled her eyes lightheartedly then held her pinkie out for Bosco to take, which they gladly did, a pinkie promise not something either of them took lightly.
“Best friend pretend soulmates forever?”
Bosco nodded, a stupid grin spreading across their face. “Best friend pretend soulmates forever.”

i wannaaa know what happened in soulmate au bestie 🥺
okayyyy fine bestiana<3
----
Jasmine breathed heavily, facing Bosco in the dark janitor's closet, cornered by the other, her hands shaking.
"I don't know what I did to make you hate me so much."
Bosco looked back at her, dark hair covering half of her face as she peered at Jasmine through it like a curtain.
"What do you mean you don't know?"
Jasmine wiped at the frustrated tears that threatened to spill down her cheeks. "We were best friends and you-you just stopped talking to me all of a sudden. You were so cold, and I don't know why. I never knew why."
"Jas, it was my birthday," Bosco spoke quietly, the sting still there.
“What?”
Tears shone in Bosco’s eyes, their stomach turning at the memory. To some, it might’ve seemed stupid, but Bosco remembered how awful she felt on that day.
“You-you abandoned me. For the popular girls. We pinky promised we’d always be friends-”
“I only befriended them after you stopped talking to me!” Jasmine exacerbated.
Bosco shook their head. “No, you didn’t. You started hanging out with them a little bit before that. And I tried not to get jealous, but I couldn’t help it.”
“You can’t hate me for that!”
“Just listen,” Bosco spoke quietly, “I was jealous but that isn’t why I was upset! It’s so stupid now but we planned my birthday for weeks. We were gonna go see our favorite band and I waited for you. I waited and waited, I called you, my mom texted yours and your mom said you were out with Willow or something. I couldn’t wait any longer, my mom needed to get to work and I was gonna miss the show. My mom worked hard to afford those tickets for us-” she paused, her voice getting choked up, “I wouldnt of even been that mad if you just forgot but you put your new friend, your prettier, more popular friend before me.”
Jasmine’s stomach flipped. “I-I don’t remember. I’m sorry.”
“Of course you don’t,” Bosco scoffed, “you know that night I went to that concert alone. I met Daya there actually and cried to someone who was practically a stranger about the person I loved standing me up on my birthday.”
Jasmine seemed taken aback, her eyes wide and heart hammering. “You loved me?”
Bosco nodded. “So much.”

can we get more of the soulmate au soon 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Yes hehe here’s a little background from Bosco’s side bc why not?<3
——
Bosco never understood the whole soulmates thing. If it worked out perfectly everytime, that would be one thing, but she’d seem time and time again that even sometimes soulmates didn’t work out. Her whole childhood she’d watched her mother and father fight, one another’s names being scrawled on their bodies didn’t stop that. It didn’t stop her father from leaving before she’d even turned 10 either. Cynical at such a young age, Bosco told herself she didn’t care who’s name ended up on her body the moment midnight hit on her 18th birthday.
And she kept the same attitude, up until the final moments before the clock struck 12. Curiosity got the best of her and the moment the date changed, she closed her eyes and counted to 100, a deep breath before opening them again. She blinked, took in her surroundings, the same surroundings from moments ago. Everything felt the same, only there was a slight tingling on her left forearm. Light and subtle like a cool burst of air.
Right before her eyes, Bosco watched in awe as a name appeared on her skin, letter by letter. She watched the ‘J’ appear, then the ‘a’ and by the ‘s’, her stomach hurt. She squeezed her eyes shut again and waited for the tingling to be gone before she opened them again, a silent prayer to the universe that the name on her arm wouldn’t be the name she thought it would be.
There, in dark lettering on her forearm, it read “Jasmine”. She ran through excuses in her head, maybe it wasn’t really her, there were probably a lot of Jasmines in the world, but the writing looked too familiar.
Searching through the nightstand on her bedside, she fished for one of the last notes Jasmine wrote to her. She found it, the paper crinkled from constant folding and re-folding. Opening the note, she scanned the page for Jasmine’s signature. There, at the bottom she had signed her name, almost exactly the way her name appeared on Bosco’s arm, down to the loopy ‘J’ and the tiny heart that she dotted her i’s with.
Bosco felt like she could be sick, tears forming in her eyes. Only to her could the universe be cruel enough to make Jasmine her soulmate after all that they’d been through.
Cutting off her thoughts, her phone rang, her best friend, Daya’s, name appearing on the screen.
She accepted the call and before she even got a chance to say ‘hello’, Daya was singing, more like shouting, happy birthday at her.
It had been tradition since they became friends to call at midnight on each other’s birthdays, but even their little tradition didn’t make Bosco feel better.
“Daya,” she said, her voice breaking.
Daya ceased her happy birthday serenade. “What’s wrong?”
Bosco shook her head and sniffled. “Can you come over?”
“Be there in 5,” Daya said before hanging up.
Bosco tucked her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, hiding her face until Daya was opening her bedroom window and slipping inside.
“What happened?” Daya inquired, sitting next to Bosco on her bed, rubbing gentle circles on her upper back.
Bosco bared her arm for Daya to see, the other sucking in a breath.
“There are lots of Jasmines in the world,” she tried.
“I know her handwriting.”
