#jason dying and coming back just makes it more metaphorical somehow and bruce not being there to see him growing up makes it sad
Text
Obsessed with when fanfictions go like:
Jason: "your son died!! I'm not that kid anymore! You can never have him back!! >:("
Bruce: "I mean, yeah? You had new experiences, made new friends, learned new things and went through a lot of difficult situations. You're human, people grow up, but there are still things about you that will never change, one of them is the fact that you're my son and I will love you regardless of what you choose to be."

Don't mind me. Just going to kill two birds with one stone. Anyways, I hope enjoy this little sequel to this post. Especially you Anonymous and @dawnwave16!
After Robin dropped Marinette off at the hotel she and her parent's where staying at, she was greeted with the most stern looks she had ever received in her life. She couldn't help but to gulp in fear under the weight of their glares.
'Is is too late to run out and get Robin,' she wondered, as she smiled nervously at her parents. Yeah, nope, she did not plan on dying today. Be it literally or metaphorically. Besides she just survived almost literally dying, by now life is just being cruel.
"Where have you been young lady," her father asked, standing before her, back straight, arms crossed, and with a danverous undertone in his voice.
She mother in a much similar pose, had a much more threatening glare on her face. Now if her dad is scary right now, her mom took the cake.
"I, well, um, you see I lost track time," she said nervously. At least it wasn't a total lie. She just kept a few details out, but her parents looked unconvinced.
"Mhm, doing what exactly," she mother said, eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"Because you left your scetch book here, and we see that you don't have your fabrics that you said you where going to get. Now what exactly happened," her father said.
"Not to mention your hair and clothes are disheveled. Now, how about you tell the whole truth, and not leave anything out."
Leave it to her mom to know she wasn't telling the truth. Welp, looks like tonight she'll be dying alone at the hands of her parents. Sighing Marinette told them of the nights events. When she was done, all of Gotham felt a shiver run down their spines as an enraged mother's voice echoed throughout the city.
"WHAT?!"
Let's just say, crime was put on pause for the night, and Marinette was grounded for the remainder of their stay.
When she woke up the next day, Marinette found her fabrics on her windiw sill, with a note saying, "we assume these belong to you," with what seemed to be a blue bird symbol and smiley face underneath. Now if only she could find out how they knew it belonged to her?
Meanwhile in the batcave; Bruce turned away from the batcomputer in his swivel chair to face his oldest son. His eyes dancing with a satisfied gleam, and intertwined fingers covering his smug smile. There was a moment of silence before he asked, "So did she get it."
Dick sighed, but before he could answer his brothers decided to come down for a visit. It wasn't a quiet entrace that's for sure.
"Drake, she's not just some girl! She fucking beat Joker to the bloody pulp! With a crowbar. She needs to be watched at all times. Something about this girl just doesn't sit right with me," Damian said, scoffimg as his brother's chuckled.
"Look munchkin, if you like the chick just admit it. Don't be such a tsundere," Jason said, as he nudged Damian.
"A what," Damian questioned, as a disgusted look painted his face.
"A tsundere, quite fitting term for you at least. It's basically a person who is initially cold before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time. Also, Jason's been watching anime. It was only a matter of time before he picked up on some vocabulary," Tim said, ignore the offensive noise that escaped Jason's mouth.
"Ahem."
The boys quieted down at that. Their attention now focused on Dick and Bruce.
"As I was going to say before I was so rudely interupted," Dick said, giving his three bothers a pointed look before continuing, "She got her fabrics. I even slipped a few more in there, as you asked, that fit the color scheme she had."
"Good, and I think Damian is right. The girl needs to be watched," bruce said. You could literally hear the smirk playing in his voice.
"Oh no."
"This can not end well."
"Fuck. I know where this is headed. Damian, it was nice knowing you."
"Fuck you, Todd."
"Naw, you're to you to even think about it."
"Dude!"
"Boys," Bruce said, commanding their attention.
"As I was saying, the girl needs to be watched. Since Damian has vocally made his opinion known, he will be the one to watch over her. Both in and out of the mask."
"Father, I don't think-," Damian began, but was quickly silenced as bruce held up his hand.
Bruce stood up, hands in his pockets and began to make his way back up into the manor. He left no room for arguments. For he had a plan. A plan that may have involved his son and his parents rings.
Everything would go accordong to plan. Tony Stark, look out because Bruce fucking Wayne is coming through with a new daughter.
"So remember when I told you she would somehow become part of the family," Tim said, after a moment of silence when Bruce had left.
