jeepney social media posting
Abusive Jeepney Drivers!.
Well, I should have posted this yesterday but due to lack of time and the need of my body to sleep i was only able to blog it today.
Since I am now working in Shaw, I have to take a jeepney ride from my place to workplace taking the jeepney route.
Let me start this with a strong statement. Jeepney drivers and barters of this route are abusive!
Why did I say so?
Its been three weeks already of commuting and riding jeepneys everyday and I must say that I had horrifying experiences already.
Few weeks ago, I witnessed a bloody fist fight of two jeepney drivers and their barters. Well, it is not really a fist fight because they used "tubo" which makes it bloody. The reason why they fought is so shallow. Nag uunahan sila kumuha ng pasahero. Its amazing yet scary to see that these souls are ready to kill in exchange for a small amount of income. Policemen rush towards the scene and the tubuhan fight ended.
The jeepney terminal for this route is just beside our building. So everytime i go home, that is the spot that I go to get a ride.
Tumblr media
Apparently, these jeepney drivers doesnt know how what "overloading" is. Aside from making a 20 seater jeepney to a 22 seater, they are also fond of putting a small stool in the middle of the jeepney for two passengers to  squat and sit in. I always make a point to get my self a good seat near the front or the middle so I can seat decently but not comfortably since they will overload the jeep as much as they can anyway.
The fare going to my place is just 10 pesos but because this drivers are rip offs and money mongers, they made their own version of fare matrix. They make the minimum fare as 15 pesos instead of 8 pesos. So whether you will just get off in the next kanto, it is 15 pesos already. These folks are genius. Dapat ginawa na lang 16 pesos para obvious na dinoble nila. A violation of LTFRB I think.
Aside from creating their own overpriced fare and overloading, they also have this practice wherein, if you are the passenger na unang bababa, you will be the lucky one to seat on the wooden stool placed in between of the two rows. Apparently, since my drop off point is pretty near, I am always the victim of this practice. I am not ammendable by it for obvious reasons. I mean who's not? who's willing to seat on that small improvized seat in rows in between. It’s a disaster and a big hassle specially with my size. Lol.
Unfortunately, I'm a big, fat and sexy guy. I cannot really sit on those improvized chair because of my belly and my big legs too. Well if I am petite then maybe I can but I am not. And Besides, since the fare was doubled and overpriced, I am sure that even the petites are not willing to sit in this seat either.
Everytime I went home, I always face this challenge not to be seated on this throne. And I think the more I wish that I am not the lucky one lagi na lang natitiyempo na ako yung pinakamalapit na bababa. There was one time that I don’t have a choice but to abide with them. (Bait baitan) and I tried sitting on that chair and during the ride namamanhid yung paa ko. It is not really comfortable. There is also a time when I refuse and politely told the barter that I have pilay and it worked. The next incidents, nagpatay malisya na lang ako like pagtinatanong nila kung sino pinakamalapit kunwari hindi ko narinig.

BLOG ENTRY #1 GEN Z: A PERSPECTIVE
Embark on a journey through Gen Z’s dynamic perspectives, experiences, passion, and rapid changes we are driving in today’s ever-evolving world; exploring the unique challenges in the lens of a Gen Z, on how we view this world.
In a realm where the echoes of Gen Z's voices often fade into the background, their words deemed as mere whispers in the wind, this blog emerges as a beacon, illuminating the vibrant tapestry of our perspectives. Here, we invite other generations to step into the kaleidoscope of Gen Z's world, to grasp the vivid hues of our experiences and embrace the symphony of our evolving ideals.
What is really the behavior of our generation today? How they think and act in this judgemental society. When I was asked what I observe in this generation, the first thing that came into my mind is that Gen Z are awake, conscious, sensible– or in Gen Z terms, “woke”. Our generation is aware of the things happening in our surroundings, whether it may be political, social, mental, emotional. If a politician will try to win the mass over with flowery words, Gen Z is not one of the people who will be swayed for it, because we are critical thinkers, we’re not gullible and foolish.
Bravery is a defining trait of our generation. We're unafraid to take a stand and advocate for change, participating in advocacies and activism. Based on experience, I often join rallies, not physically but virtually; lending my voice through social media, sharing the causes we’re fighting for.
Recently, I shared posts about the issue of the jeepney phaseout, how I am against it and the consequences the mass will face if that will be done. I also advocate for mental health, in this state where we are barely surviving our days, mental health is as important as physical health. The stigma in mental health is slowly lessening as our generation starts to open our eyes, emotions are now being validated and acknowledged, paving the way for a future where conversations about mental health are commonplace.
Gen Z likes to ask questions, we don’t settle for things the society is telling us to be right, we want to know why things are the way they are, such as the norms, beliefs, tradition, power dynamics. The truth is some traits, beliefs and practices are flawed that it is becoming toxic which will not contribute to our growth. One of the best examples is gender norms or even roles; these norms are telling us what should we act based on our gender, men should be masculine and show no emotion; they should be the ones working, women is feminine and submissive, nurturing; they should be the ones at home taking care of the laundry.
What sets our generation apart is our fervent desire for change, not just for ourselves but for brighter futures and subsequent generations. We're breaking free from the cycle of toxicity, driven by the belief that flaws and sufferings can end with us. This mentality fuels our aspiration to become better leaders, parents, and individuals. We're committed to learning from the mistakes of past generations, working tirelessly to ensure that future generations don't endure the same violence, abuse, and traumas.
This generation is a dreamer, harboring grand aspirations and audacious visions for a world transformed. We understand that the future is not a fixed destination, but a canvas waiting for us to paint it with our ideals and innovations.
Lastly, this generation doesn’t rely on traditional role models, but instead, we learn from those whose paths we hope to avoid. We've seen the impact of hasty decisions and witnessed the toll it can take on individuals. Personally, I'm determined not to follow in the footsteps of acquaintances who acted without forethought. I'm currently witnessing the hardships they're enduring - struggling with the scarcity of food due to lack of financial capabilities.
Their experiences serve as stark reminders of the importance of making considered choices and planning for the future. It's a lesson in prudence, one that shapes my own approach to decision-making. I aim to be intentional in my actions, considering the potential consequences and striving for a future of stability and security.
In wrapping up this exploration into the heart of Gen Z, it's clear that our generation is no stranger to challenge, nor hesitant to face it head-on. We're a generation fueled by purpose, striving for a world where change isn't just a possibility, but an inevitability.
So, here's to the dreamers, the questioners, the change-makers - here's to Gen Z. Together, let's forge ahead, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, compassion, and boundless potential. Our journey is just beginning, and the future, bright with possibility, is ours to shape.

Frozen in Frames: A Photographic Chronicle of Resilience and Activism
Last November 20, a meaningful and victorious student walkout transpired, clamoring the calls against budget cuts on education, privatization of transportation, and state repression. As we (as a student and part of Tug-ani as photojournalists) navigate the streets of Lahug to Fuente, camera in hand, capturing the enthusiasm of jeepney drivers and students rallying for their rights, the philosophy of Time-Image takes center stage. Each photograph becomes a snapshot of collective determination, freezing the discernible spirit of advocacy and resistance filling the air in time. The furrowed brows, clenched fists, and steadfast gazes are not just captured moments but fragments of a larger narrative, a story of resilience and courage. In my documentary work, the power of the Time-Image lies in its ability to preserve these crucial moments, transforming them into visual testaments to the strength and unity of those fighting and championing their rights.
As I sift through the images, each frame tells a story that extends beyond the streets and resonates through time. The Time-Image philosophy prompts me to reflect on the temporal nature of these photographs. They are not mere records of an event; they are capsules of emotion, passion, frustration, and hope of a country fighting for its identity and livelihood. Through the lens, I become a storyteller, freezing moments that might otherwise slip away, ensuring that the collective spirit of the rally is not lost to the passage of time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Any Space
In the age of digital connectivity, the concept of Any Space adds a layer of significance to my documentation of the rally. What begins as a local protest on the city's streets transforms into a national and global conversation through the power of digital photography. When shared online, the images of rallying jeepney drivers and students transcend geographical boundaries. They become a universal language of resistance, a visual outcry that resonates with individuals nationally and worldwide who share similar commitments to justice and equity.
Any Space is not just a theoretical concept but a lived reality in my work. I witness how these images become part of a national narrative as I upload photographs onto social media platforms (through collaborations with another photojournalist in the Tug-ani publication platform). Once confined to a specific location, the painted placards and determined faces now find a home on the screens of people miles away. The rally becomes a shared experience, and digital photography serves as the bridge that connects diverse communities, fostering a sense of solidarity that extends far beyond the physical boundaries of the protest site.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transmedia Narratology: Stories Across Platforms
With its spirited energy and multifaceted narratives, the rally is not confined to the streets alone. The concept of transmedia narratology becomes a guiding principle as I seek to tell a cohesive and immersive story that unfolds across various platforms. Each photograph becomes a visual anchor, connecting the protest to diverse online channels. From Instagram posts (reels and video documentaries we have) capturing the immediacy of the moment to news entries providing context and depth, the rally becomes a transmedia narrative.
In my creative process, I intentionally explore ways to translate the essence of the rally into different storytelling formats. The immediacy of a photograph shared on social media is complemented by long-form narratives that delve deeper into the issues. Video clips capture the fundamental nature of the protest, allowing the audience to engage with the rally from different perspectives. The transmedia approach transforms the documentation of the rally from a singular, linear narrative into a multidimensional experience that encourages audience interaction and exploration.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remediation: Augmenting Voices Through Imagery
Remediation, as proposed by Bolter and Grusin, takes on a pivotal role in the context of the rally documentation. It involves not just capturing images but transforming them into dynamic canvases for storytelling. Each photograph serves as a remediated space where the voices of the jeepney drivers and students are augmented through digital elements. From overlaying powerful quotes (calls and demands) onto images to integrating multimedia presentations, remediation becomes a tool for amplifying the impact of the message.
With this memorable journey, I experimented with remediation techniques to enhance the communicative power of the photographs. The juxtaposition of images with text, audio, and video elements creates a layered narrative that resonates on multiple levels. Through remediation, the rally's narrative is not confined to a static visual experience but becomes an immersive journey where the audience can actively engage with the content. The photographs cease to be mere representations; they transform into interactive spaces that invite viewers to explore the depth and complexity of the issues being addressed.
Immediacy and Hypermediacy: The Pulse of Activism
In the context of the rally, immediacy is the heartbeat of activism captured in each photograph. The raw emotions, the emotional chants, the determined faces—these elements are not distant memories but immediate experiences frozen in time. As a photographer embedded in the rally, I feel the pulse of activism through the lens. The immediacy of the captured moments is not just about reliving the past; it's about eliciting an immediate emotional response from the audience. Simultaneously, hypermediacy comes into play as I experiment with digital tools to layer narratives, creating a multimedia experience that deepens the understanding of the issues at hand. When presented in a hypermediated form, the rally's narrative goes beyond the visual to incorporate sound, text, and interactive elements. The layers of information add complexity to the storytelling, encouraging a more reflective and analytical engagement with the content. Immediacy and hypermediacy collaboratively and effectively create a movement between the urgent call for justice and the layered complexities of the struggle.
Tumblr media
Ergo, my photographic documentation of the recently concluded rally of our traditional jeepney drivers and Iskolars ng Bayan is not a detached observation but a profoundly personal storytelling journey. Through the lens of Time-Image, Any Space, Transmedia Narratology, Remediation, immediacy, and hypermediacy, I aim to capture the essence of the resistance and champion democratic rights. Each click of the shutter is a deliberate act of freezing time, and each shared image is a ripple that extends far beyond the streets, resonating with a broader audience eager to listen and engage.

The Importance Of Graphic Design In The Philippines
Graphic design is one of the most important jobs any person or business can have in the Philippines. It is also one of the most important creative arts in the Philippines. It combines two unique skills that are currently in high demand: creativity and the ability to communicate information visually.
The Philippines is one of the developing countries in Asia and needs to improve on their graphic designs. Many Filipinos are not aware of the importance of graphic design in their own daily lives or they do not understand how it helps them as they travel abroad.
This article is going to focus on its importance in The Philippines. If you ever plan to do business here, or want to expand your company's image beyond your country's territory, then you should consider hiring a professional graphic designer Philippines.
Graphic Design in the Philippines
The Philippines has long been a favorite destination for graphic designers among businesses and multinational corporations. Different art forms are valued equally by its diverse culture. As a result, vibrant colors, precise lines, and joyful motifs are frequently found in graphic design throughout the nation.
A "jeepney" that reflects Filipino inventiveness through its vibrant, wacky, colorful, and modest designs would be the ideal illustration.
Despite the inherent talent and love of the arts among Filipinos, prospective designers find it difficult to locate institutions that provide graphic design and multimedia courses.
The majority of colleges in the nation are focused on academic programs like commerce, English, and sciences, in addition to a lack of technology and a dearth of reputable educational institutions for the arts and graphic design.
Why Is Graphic Design Important in the Philippines?
Graphic design is at the heart of almost everything we do in our daily lives. We are surrounded by visual communication on a daily basis from billboards to magazine covers, from websites to social media posts, and even as we scroll through our news feeds.
The Philippines has always been known for its vibrant and creative industries, especially when it comes to web serving. It is also a country known for its strong love for design and its avowed desire to build an inclusive, diverse, and inclusive society.  The Philippines has been at the center of the digital transformation of the last few years as it welcomed

DAMIRES HILLS TIERRA VERDE LEISURE FARM is one of my most favorite destination I loved. Damires Hills is one of the most known destination here in Panay and many tourists visit here and spend their vacations here with their family and friends. Damires Hills is one the most perfect place where you can enjoy their accomodations and expect their good quality and services. With an approximately 45-hectare land area, Damires Hills is a paradise filled with lush greens and overwhelming vegetation. Owned by the Tirador Family and opened in 2010, the resort is one of the biggest contributors to the modest tourism industry in Janiuay. It is certainly a must-visit place when you come to Janiuay.
I want to promote this Nice, Beautiful and Adventurous place to everyone who love to travel, Damires Hills is the perfect escape to nature. Here, you can be one with nature, do some physical activities such as ATV-riding, Zipline (Slide for Life) and Bungee Trampoline. And also if you're not afraid of heights you can try their canopy walk or the long bridge with approximate height of 5 long stories high and 217 meters long. Truly, Damires Hills is not only for those who want to relax but also it brings out the adventurer in you. Here, you can go bonding with friends, family and nature. You can take photographs of the stunning hillside view; celebrate important moments in your life as they also accommodate weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and any kind of party that you can think of. If you want to experience all of these, Damires Hills is the perfect place for you. Located in Barangay Damires in the municipality of Janiuay, Damires Hills Tierra Verde is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Janiuay can be reached from The New Iloilo Airport by a 25-minute drive. From the city, it takes about an hour. If you’re coming from Iloilo City, it’s about a 1-hour drive. However, if you’d rather take the public transit, you can take a CBL (Calinog Bus Liner) bus or a Calinog Jeepney at the Ungka Terminal. You can get off at the Janiuay Town Center (Plaza). Around the plaza, there are many tricycles that can take you to Damires Hills. You can negotiate with the driver if you want him to come pick you up after your time in Damires as there are no tricycles from Damires going back to the town center.

RE: PHILIPPINES ANTI- TERROR BILL (Senate Bill 1083)
In the light of all subversions across the globe, I am asking for help for the Filipino people. We need traction.
Anti-Terror Bill will effectively stifle critics and strip away our freedom. Any form of dissent will lead to up to 24 days of warrantless arrests (even memes are prohibited). Anyone red-tagged, even without proof, will be jailed. Wiretapping will be legal. Police will be given immunity (no more fine for wrongful red-tagging). We can be jailed for 12 years to life.
We called for free mass testing, masks, and amelioration for all lower to middle class families but the government has railroaded this bill amid the pandemic, while we are at our most vulnerable, to criminalize all voices calling out for justice. When our poor asked for relief, Duterte ordered the PNP to "shoot them dead."
The amelioration program barely covered the lower working class and was riddled with corruption. They are planning to phase out our jeepneys affecting thousands of jeepney drivers who haven't even received amelioration for over 2 months. They have been violating human rights all throughout the quarantines and prior (Drug War). They rebuked plans to terminate the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with USA that's been ongoing for 21 years. They used the public upheaval in the US to justify the Anti-Terror Bill.
This is a long shot. But we need help and you have a wide reach in social media platforms. It's only days or hours before this bill becomes a law. It needs only Duterte's signature to be enacted.

of bitter coffees and sweet tomorrows
[Sips, sips, sips]
You know that moment when the sunlight peeks through your bedroom window making you half-awake. Wearing your loose white sando, checkered jammies, and mismatched socks from the night before.
With the smell of sunny-side up and sinangag being tossed and turned in the pan. And that 90s beat of your favorite Sunday classic on the radio – there is no better way to start one’s morning.
Oh, I’d give up everything to be that person.
[Sips]
“Ahhh, it burns.”
     A bitter taste of reality.
During this pandemic, I chose to be bitter. I start my day with a cup of coffee without cream, without sugar – just plain black. This is my tiny way of reminding myself that the world out there is bitter.
Not to burst that bubble of positivity you have, but that’s just how living is. It is bad, it is unfair, and it is not safe especially with the pandemic. People are poor, suddenly a lot became unemployed, and most are hungry.
This lockdown made us choose between dying from sickness or starvation. The government is generous enough to impose a quarantine without any plan for those who do not have a stable job, and that’s about 70 percent of the Filipinos.
[Sips]
“Ahhh, it’s perfect.”
We cannot afford your Starbucks, it’s too classy.
It’s funny how a few are somewhat thankful for the national quarantine. It gives us a chance to unwind and take a vacation away from the real world, they say.
I have been seeing posts from celebrities and influencers saying we should spend this free time to reconnect with our family, with nature, and with ourselves. Some even call out people to simply follow the policy for it is not that big of a deal.
Well, I hate to break it but that’s not how life works for everyone.
I am sorry but not all of us are lucky enough to worry about how to feed our family. Not all of us have a stable job. Not all of us have a house of our own. Not all of us can pay for our monthly bills easily. Not all of us are privileged. Not all of us. . . No.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Taking a time off is totally good but while you enjoy what you call a vacation, people outside the comfort of your home are drowning with debts just to eat once a day, at least.
Jeepney drivers, street vendors, and those who don’t have the luxury of time and money to lay around their houses all day barely survive.
[Sips, sips]
“Ahhh, it’s almost empty.”
If I am a coffee, I sure am a mixture of black and cream.
I am neither rich nor poor. I do not have much allowance but I eat three times a day. I do not have a car but I can pay for my fare. My house is far from school but at least I have one of my own.
I worry about how the pandemic will affect my life but not to the extent of whether my family can survive every day or not. I know how awesome it feels to be privileged yet I also know how brutal it is to be poor.
People nowadays are so consumed by the idea of self-care that it turns them to be more self-centered. I sometimes wonder if social media have overflowing solutions, why is the society outside still overwhelmed with problems.
[Sips, gulp]
“Ahhh, another bitter coffee.”
Since the pandemic started, I began to make my coffee hot, plain and bitter. You should try it too. I strongly believe that for the privileged, it is a must.
It will slap you to wake up from your long, fantastical dream. It will help you taste the bitter reality most people have right now. It will make you do something for them, something outside your tweets and posts – something really helpful.
Because only then, when you start to realize how coffee tastes for them, that’s when you’ll start to really care. And you can do it – little by little, one less spoon of sugar a day.
That’s when they can taste another flavor of life, that it can at times be sweet for them too.
So why don’t you make your coffee bitter for a change? Then we can all share our sweet tomorrow.
After all, a bitter today sweetens our tomorrow even more.
[Sips]

i’m sorry for posting about social issues in my country, but please understand that BLM is not the social issue that is happening rn. i’m not saying that BLM is less important, rather that there are issues in other countries (specially the little ones) that are not recognized enough (and by their own countrymen as well.)
i know everyone is busy supporting and fighting for Black lives rn, but it would only take a small amount of your support to help us.

RE: PHILIPPINES ANTI- TERROR BILL (Senate Bill 1083) In the light of all subversions across the globe, I am asking for help for the Filipino people. When our poor asked for relief, Duterte ordered the PNP to "shoot them dead." The amelioration program barely covered the lower working class and was riddled with corruption.

Tell me...
Something about your family? We’re very emotionally distant and we haven’t hugged each other since my siblings and I were kids. Luckily I’ve found friends who are very expressive and fill my need for occasional affection.
Something about your age? Taylor Swift has a song about it and a line from it has become a very cliché social media caption for whenever somebody turns 22.
Something about your childhood friends? Pretty much all of them have migrated either to the US or Canada, and the only one that’s remained my friend is Angela.
Something about your eating habits? I skipped meals so much throughout high school and college that my body has adapted to it, and it takes a longer time for me to go hungry now.
Something you do every day? Greet my dog.
Something you've only tried once? Gulab jamun, an Indian dessert. It looked super appetizing on the menu and I thought it would be something like doughnut holes, but I had never been more wrong. The balls themselves were fine, but the syrup just clashed so badly with my tongue. I love Indian food, but I have no regrets taking one bite out of a dish I had to pay in full for. Something about your job/school? The campus is so big we’re the only university in the whole country to have its own transportation system. Students usually take jeepneys to go from one class to another. Something you'd like to do before you die? Go to a Wrestlemania :) Something you want to change? The entire Philippine government.
Something you wish never changed? Kimi being alive and kicking. I wish he can stay with me forever. Something about the weather? I’m so glad it’s not too humid tonight. It can be colder, but at least I’m not sweating through my shirt and at least I don’t feel the need to bitch about the weather. Something about your country? It’s a whole goddamn mess, but don’t even get me started on that now... just know that it’s miserable being here, in all ways you can think of. Something about this month? July was the month of my original breakup with Gabie, so I like poking fun at it with her every July 23rd. Something about your house? It has a rooftop, and a wide open space is all I can ask for in a house. I like going there to be alone, reflect on things, play my music, etc. Something about your experiences? My experiences on...? Lmao this is very vague. Something bad that has happened? I have several cuts and marks on my skin c/o Cooper biting me a little too hard sometimes when we play. The worst one is a gash on my right leg. He’s a total sweetheart, but he just gets too excited literally all the time so I try to be patient with him. Something good that has happened? I have a cheesecake all to myself and tonight my mom got me a pack of revel bars :) I missed my sweeeeeeets. Something you miss? Drinking during weeknights and basically being dumb college kids with my friends. Something you're looking forward to? Drinking during weeknights and being a-little-less-dumb fresh graduates with my friends. Something you've read recently? I read up on the disappearance of Brian Shaffer earlier tonight because of a Reddit post I came across.
Something you've heard? Recently? The notif sound for my Twitter rang on my phone two minutes ago because someone sent me a DM. Something you've seen that amazed you? Cooper has started climbing up our stairs by god he’s learning so much shit SO FAST. He can do the first three steps on his own, but I have to have my hands ready by his back and butt for the rest of the higher steps because he’s not too tall yet and might miss and tumble all the way down. Something you want to say to someone? I miss you, and I wish you were graduating with us. Something you wish you never said to someone? There was one time I told Gab something, but I genuinely wasn’t able to realize how hurtful it was. I really meant it innocently but once she broke down and cried and explained it to me, I felt like utter shittttttttttt. I don’t wanna say it on here though, it still makes me wince to this day. Something you wish more people knew about you? I’m really really nice, just approach me first. Something you wish people didn't know about you? I don’t think like this. I wear my heart on my sleeve, no regrets on that front. Something you have always wanted? Money. Something you've got that no one else has? Extensive knowledge on the 1980s sitcom Perfect Strangers because of the time my parents introduced me to it when I was 10. I’d be very surprised (and excited, lol) if I meet someone as enthusiastic about the show in 2020. Something you're interested in this year? Kanye West announcing that he’s running for president has got me invested in that side of US politics loooooooooooool
Something you remember from 2001? Having ‘camping trips,’ which meant sleeping in a tent in our family room. Something you don't understand? Hawaiian, for one. Something you'd like to see? I’d love to see an aurora borealis at least once. Something you wish you were asked? Ok so I’m not directly answering the question but it’s kinda related? but it’d be cool if some companies contacted me hahaha. This is definitely not to say that I’m lazy and that I wanna let companies do the recruiting for me lol, but I only went with my answer because when I heard about job-hunting experiences from my older friends when they graduated, all of them told me that some companies were the ones who contacted them – I didn’t even know that was possible. It’d be pretty exciting just to get one call, haha.

Deathline
Are you tired of waiting for the jeepney? Did you already count how many times you tried to entertain yourself just because of traffic? Did you find a new friend in the line while waiting for your turn in the enrollment? In short, are you tired of waiting in the lone or for your turn in life?
No matter how old or young you are, you’ve already experienced waiting in different aspects or situations. It is the most tiring word that was created – waiting. Waiting for the semester to end, waiting for all the problems to be solved, waiting for a phone call from a family member or from the company that you applied for, waiting to be appreciated, waiting for the board exam results, and for the justice that everyone deserves. Well, who would like to exert time and effort to something or someone who will never reciprocate it?
Isn’t is so hard to have a crush or to like someone but not getting the same feeling in return?
It is like waiting for a plot twist at the end of the semester, waiting for your crush to notice you, to add you on social media sites and have conversation but unfortunately, not everyone is lucky to have the year-end gift or starter pack for the new year that they’ve been waiting for.
Have you ever wondered how were the families are all doing after years of waiting for the justice that their loved ones are longing because of the unjustifiable killings?
The justice system in the country has its long way in terms of progress, it still takes couple of years for a case to be sentenced while consuming someone’s resources. They are waiting all their lives just to achieve the justice that they deserved, and giving their loved ones the peace that they’ve been looking for.
Did you even ask if how hard for those activists to wait and rally in front of the government offices just to get an answer or even a respond from the officials in relation to the issues they are raising?
They do not care about what kind of weather condition there is or how many policemen are in the barricades guarding their posts, they do not mind eating or sleeping in the streets just to show their dedication and seriousness about the societal issues that our country are facing. But answers nowadays are difficult to find and instead of peace talks or meetings, riots and chaos are the things that we see in the news headlines. These becomes the dinner of every Filipino family, how the people strive in combating societal issues in the Philippines by voicing it out publicly.
The headlines of every news program shows how a student fight for their rights, how they learned to walk under the scorching heat of the sun just to let out their sentiments, how families mourn the dead bodies of their children as the police officers recover it in the crime scene and how they demand the government to act for the justice to be serve, or how the Filipino people all wait for their line – the death line to be the next main character of their own story.
So, if you are tired of waiting for the jeepney, keep in mind that others are just walking to reach their destinations. If you don’t know what to do with the traffic problems, keep in mind that others are staying calm despite the fact that some of them are experiencing life and death situations. If you already find a friend while waiting for your turn, keep in mind that friendship starts in the most unexpected ways.
In short, if you are tired to be at the death line, do not forget that the best storyline happens when a person learns how to wait while working in progress to achieve the plot twist that they truly deserve.

11 December, 2019
I thought of reviving my blog and posting daily journals of how my day has gone. I'm not particularly sure if I can sustain this but nevertheless it's worth the try.
I woke up a litter before eight today even before my birds started chirping. I opened my phone to check notifications as usual and stood up to urinate. Went back to bed and did the usual things in social media. Then I fell asleep again.
I had a dream that I was buying an octopus at the supermarket which I doubt was a real octopus since it seemed to had a skull. I woke up and decided to go about my day in my unit. Washed the dishes from last night, reheated my meal, made rice, fed my birds, drank a cup of cocoa.
Now I'm in bed writing so I better tell something of what was happening to me the other day. After lunch I started having rashes in my hands and started itching. I suspect I'm having an allergic reaction from the tuna I ate since it was the last thing I consumed.
I started sratching my hands and used ointments to ease the itch but seeing that it was just getting worse I stood up and searched for some antihistamine. After taking medication all went well.
The next day while washing the dishes after waking up from my nap I realized I have flushed rashes on my left arm. I immediately took of my shirt and checked my body- I was covered with rashes.
Usually I'm not always going jumping off to bad diagnosis, but because of the trauma I had from suffering for months of a skin ailment three years back made me anxious. I took pictures and sent it to my cousin-in-law (a nurse) and asked another cousin what's the dosage for antihistamines.
Since they were taking so long to reply I prepped up and decided to go to the hospital instead. Doctor told me it's probably just alleged and prescribed me a stronger antihistamine and some cream to lotion in my body.
After the check up I decided to eat in this carinderia (some kind of cafeteria in the Philippines) and ate their special nilaga. I sent a photo of my prescription to my mom and like me she somehow panicked as well because of my previous condition.
I bought the prescribed meds and and went home. On my way home, however, I had a bit of trouble getting a ride. So when this loaded jeepney stopped I decided to go ahead and hang from the rear end. I felt so dope doing that. But it was short-lived because after a few blocks someone went down I got in.
After getting home, I took the meds. Had dinner. Did some social media. And fell asleep. And that's all that happened.
